A US Army Rotary Unit gets sent to deploy troops and barricades to a road block choke point leading into Raccoon City. A pilot gets curious and flies over the city to see from above what kind of problem is going on in the city. That is when things change. It is September 25.
The setting is in Raccoon City, and surrounding area, and a near by town, where the Rotary Army Base is at (Arklay). It is a small base, two chopper pads, a hanger, and well, barracks, and the local armory with a parking lot of military trucks and vehicles out back.
In this, I will DM/GM, and provide a heck of story for us all. I will be playing as Pax "Zap" Lappero, the role of a US Army Captain, pilot of a UH-60L Blackhawk. Players can play the role of his crew if they want, but if anyone wants to be part of the crew I would need to go over some things (training, so to speak). Pax will be used to sort of guide the role play, and be my way as a game master of this to hint to players as to where we need to go if things stray off whatever random nothing we end up doing (players may not even know that is occurring though, which will be fun). If players who play begin to get bored, I hope you give feed back.

Are you looking for civilian characters too?

Yes, civilians for sure, and all kinds, just let me know where the characters are so I can give a detailed setting, with sensory details. I ma put folks in the city and it be hardcore graphic, hardcore realistic too. Players may have a sensation of fatigue and the characters are guaranteed PTSD. I can Game Master anyone of any field, form Umbrella workers to civilians, and even those who don't know anything about Resident Evil (which I have been doing).
The best players are those who don't know anything about Resident Evil, because I can put them in the setting and they can figure it all out, and the cool part is they act exactly how the characters in the books do. They actually try to help the injured drunk folks walking around or leaking blood. But, because I include detailed sensory details, they find out fast that those drunk injured folks walking around are not really alive, and tend to keep away from them.
Let me know what sort of character you will be role playing, and the location in the city where the character lives if the character lives in Raccoon, and their occupation (work a job/career, or is a student, etc). This way I can gear the characters up for the scenario.
If anyone wants to get on board with this after the role play begins, they will need to let me know and get implemented into it all properly. In this, anyone can get in on the fun. There will be random high and low points (intense and boring) at times. Boring times will be times the character would be able to rest, write journals, eat, relieve themselves, etc. There are sure to be random events. I will use the character I am using to give other characters ideas on how to survive.

I was thinking something similar to Sam from my School of the Dead game. Maybe a high schooler, maybe she ditched school and got caught up in the zombie apocalypse.

Sounds cool. Shall we begin (And if an admin can move this post to the proper area of role play, that would be cool). I hope I posted this in the proper area. I can post an official role play post in a better spot, but I don't like the idea of using up space or getting the forum cluttered. I already have that alternate dimension post as a role play, so whoever wants to jump into that. I have a friend who is making a character for that scenario. I just cant wait to get started.

Ok, sweet.
Now, we just need an official thread for the role play itself. Perhaps this thread will work ? If we use this thread, it probably needs to be in the area where the other role plays are at.

A pair of US Army Blackhawk choppers leave the airspace of Raccoon city at a north west heading from the general hospital area. An announcement to air traffic declared that the airspace is now restricted to military only. Near the stadium, zombies are drunkenly clustered and moving about, consuming all life in their path, including dogs, babies and children, the elderly that can't move, lazy cats and other animals. Crows pick chunks off of bodies, and due to being infected, they begin to crowd near lights and bodies, picking at them. The crow population is high in some areas, but not any more dense than 50 per 1,000 feet (that means anywhere in that block radius that many crows could be moving about). About the crows, they have killed off all other birds by now, and seem to be the most efficient predator so far, in mass. The highways are now closed to traffic leaving or entering. Not all access roads are blocked though, so few vehicles do enter or exit. A hotel is on fire, and a tanker truck is too. Some cars are also burning, others were flipped over by rioters. The hospital is very crowded with refugees, so is the police station, and other areas. Food markets are being raided, till zombies cluster there from activity. Fuel stations have run out of fuel. The police have barricades set up, setting a perimeter around the police station, and other important city areas. Fire rescue is combating fires, but are also being stopped by the outbreak. News teams are also not doing well. School is out, for sure. Gun owners are having a field day. Raccoon is not having a good time, for the most part.

So do I post in here?

Yes, this is our role play. Lets rock. You post where you are in the town. The post in Gold is what is going on. I don't know where you are at the moment, so I will begin game mastering once I know what you are in the city. Feel free to put a dot on a Raccoon City map of where you are as a visual reference. Time and location are important. We need to make sure you are not in the middle of a pack. Role play as you think you would survive the best. If your character was inside and saw the local news on TV, they mention to stay in doors.

Describe your location, immediate surroundings, and I will pick off from there. I will just give a summary of what is going on near you.
Wherever you are, you hear random gunshots, screaming, occasional banging, random explosions in the distant, etc. Outside at this point is very unsafe. the location is surrounded by a mixture of zombies. You know you are behind the front line border of police and zombies. No one can rescue you. The action is all out in the street at the moment. The receding thunder sound of distant military choppers can be heard slightly, the crunching of vehicles being moved to block places as a last ditch effort can be heard far away. Th sound of screams of towns folk being consumed alive. You even hear children crying, including babies. The intense action and very fast changing events are in such a way that it reminds you of what happens in movies, like a horror movie, and it seems fake.
