Anomalous Trip (Part II)

[Dragnoxz]

You find her, but she’s resting. The SAR giant and others are also resting.

[slicsinatra]

“Ah. Never mind. Lakeland, you and the others get some rest. I have my drone topside. I’ll pop a chem and take watch for pursuers.”

[Dragnoxz]

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “Sheesh, ok.” She goes and sits against the wall and takes a deep breath out of relief.

[slicsinatra]

“Sorry, Im not trying to be on edge. Lots of stuff has been happening and I feel guilty for being the only one of us not in a s*** show right now or recovering from being in one.”

[Dragnoxz]

She turns off her optics and tries to rest. Everyone is resting.

[slicsinatra]

I administer some caffeine and take a carbon pill and monitor the drone. I do this for 8 hours or until something happens or until they begin to stir.

[Dragnoxz]

The carbon section is still partially full from earlier. They last a fairly long time. For any damage, your body will need to sleep to repair. If you sleep for 6 hours, the carbon will be used up and your body will be repaired fully and be ready for another long haul. The drone has yet to pick anything up. 6.5 hours pass and Lakeland wakes.

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “Ill take watch. Transfer your drone to me.” She means to transfer controls of it and unlock it as well so she can then take over watch. It is still dark out.

I transfer the drone and get some rest.

[Dragnoxz]

You find it difficult to sleep after the stimulants. After two hours and the need to use the restroom, you start to get tired.

The woman appears to you. She explains through sensations and impressions how to get to her post. She says the enemy, by the name of Klemotzya, is out there. She telepathically shows you what it looks like. It’s a dark red, mixed with blacks and grays, dragon. She warns that he is extremely cruel, and can poke into minds to make them do what he wants them to do. She describes the hand wavers as, in her language, are the T’zah-Ta Ka Moh’t Kxsh-Zyah (Evoker of Fire Spitting Beast). She says you can call them T’zah-Ta, or Evoker. They enforce Klemotzya‘s will upon the lands. She asks if you approve of an official mind link to transfer language understanding. Do you comply ?

[slicsinatra]

Yes I comply.

[Dragnoxz]

She shares the languages of the land, so that you can understand them, but you won’t be able to speak or write it. When they talk, you’ll understand them in their language. It takes about an hour for her to complete this while you are sleeping. You eventually wake up. Nobody is inside.

[slicsinatra]

I check my drone to see where they went if they are near.

[Dragnoxz]

It’s still flying around. Is starting to get light out, after about 12 hours. You see Lakelands tag, but only hers. None of the others are close enough. She is close to you, on the surface.

[slicsinatra]

I go up to meet her.

[Dragnoxz]

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “His leg is deteriorating.” She looks at the Sargent. “He asked to be brought out for some fresh air.” She leans against a tree and folds her arms. “I gave him something for the pain. But he needs to be taken home.” She taps on her wrist device, possibly to control the drone. “Drone picked up some large groups moving to our west, but they are going west from east. They’re enemy. They wiped out a small village just ten miles that way. That woman left with the Rain Wolves.” Bordeaux walks up from the forest.

2nd Lt. Bordeaux: “If you guys need to complete your mission, I can stay with him. Just when you find help, don’t forget about us.”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “How did you guys get here ?”

2nd Lt. Bordeaux: “Sucked in to some wormhole. Godzilla came out of nowhere and simply grabbed us. The captain was crushed. I almost got crushed. The gunner was ripped out and ate like a candy, then spit out to the terrain. We are US Army. Not whatever outfit you come from. Y’all seem sophisticated with the things you have. How did you get here ?”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “It’s a long story. We are conducting a rescue mission. After we flying our package, we got diverted by something and ended up here. We’ve been separated and the thing that gets us home is probably not going to work now.”

2nd Lt. Bordeaux: “If you have some spare medical supplies and a weapon, I would appreciate it.”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “I don’t think we can give you our weapons, because you aren’t from our dimension. But we can give you some simple medical supplies. Pain meds, antibiotics, splints and bandages, and water purifying tablets. But it’s up to him.” She holds her hand out to point to you.

2nd Lt. Bordeaux: “I think we should be safe here. There’s plenty of water. And these big pine needle cacti leaves are full of water and taste good. There’s plenty. We can survive here if something happens and you can’t come get us.”
