“Well I’m rested. We need to check if we can get a pin on the Captains current whereabouts. If not, I know they’re last known and should be able to track them if we get there. I know this planet has a longer day cycle than our place of origin, so I suggest we make use of the daylight and move soon. Is the family still secure to your knowledge?”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “It didn’t look good for the captain. He was surrounded with the others. I don’t know where the family was. It got scattered and chaotic. I lost contact with them. Then I crossed a wooden bridge, and some of the wood slats broke and I fell onto the water. I woke up on the embankment, bruised all over. I walked along the river, then met face to face with the dragon. It chased me. It pretended to hunt me, only to reveal the it knew where I was all along. It kept chasing me to tire me out. In the end, I didn’t get away. It got me and took me to the place you found me, I think.

“Which do you feel is more important? This is a judgement call. Knowing what we should do based on our training is fine, but which of these in this moment would you rather pursue. I’ll let you choose. I have no preference. The family is the underlying mission, our teammates may also be in trouble. I strayed and still found you so maybe that may happen again. But we have to assume it won’t.”

2nd Lt. Lakeland: “Our mission is the family, to bring them home. Those army guys aren’t native to here. We are ORSARU. Which means, they are our responsibility. Like anyone we find we know isn’t suppose to be here.” She taps on her wrist device. “Uhm. Do you have drone feed ?” (You don’t. There is no signal from it).
