Anomalous Trip (Part II)

[Dragnoxz]

To your left (10 o’clock), a line of warriors stands near a shrub or hedge line, blocking your path. To your 11 o’clock a row of warriors closes in. To your left, as you approach the cliff side you see you are approaching the cliff at an angle of around 30 degrees, converging on Lakeland who continues to walk to the edge. She is about 50 meters and you are about 80 meters (25 running steps away). If you are to grab her, roll to hit to catch her, and roll strength after to hold her down.

14 to hit.

[Dragnoxz]

You grab her. The sound of the enemy beating on their shields can be heard as you do. Now roll to hold her back so she doesn’t fall off !

18 for strength (or dex whichever applies)

You hold her back from walking off the edge. You are about 5 meters from it, near where it begins to slope down slightly. She struggles to go off the edge. She is unable to break free. A strong, warm gust of road kill flavored air blows at you from behind and pushes you slightly, closer to the edge. Your overflow energy POPs again, and dust is kicked up all around you from the Evokers constant attack.

Cruel Dragon: “Well, well well. It’s the end for you.” The gust of wind stops and you hear a strong flow of wind pull back the other way, but it’s not as strong as the warm air from just a moment ago. (Do you turn around to face the army of warriors that has followed behind you ?).

I know my emergency chute isn’t for two people. Is there a way to make both of ours work safely?

[Dragnoxz]

Here isn’t on her, and her uniform is ripped and punctured in areas. She’s bare, and the rifle you let her use is also missing.

Cruel Dragon: “Turn and face me, my soon to be victim.” He says in your mind.

[slicsinatra]

I turn. I hold Lakeland with my hand on my emergency chute to jump.

[Dragnoxz]

Before you is the dragon from your dreams. It has some bullet holes in its teeth and face, including some spots where his eyes have been hit. He also has some grenade launcher wounds, one to the center of the chin just below the teeth, another to the chest area, and two on the right arm (left from your perspective). The head is nearly the size of a Huey helicopter. The mouth opens slightly, revealing teeth.

Cruel Dragon: “I know what you’re thinking, because I’m in your mind. Even if you try to escape my pleasureful torture of you.”
There is a slight ripping sound in the air as he swings his hand around to be right next to you, almost instantly. “I can still catch you.” He demonstrates how fast he can move. “Any last words before I make the both of you scream for a long time ?”

[slicsinatra]

“I have a question. Why must you do these things. To this land and and all the others. If I die here at least I died trying to help others, but when your time ends in a thousand years or in a few, you will have left nothing but destruction and malice. To me that is embarrassing and a shame upon any sentient life. Someone as intelligent and powerful as you claim, wouldn’t have interest in hurting those who are lesser. So how do you justify it?”

[Dragnoxz]

Cruel Dragon: “I find immense pleasure in all this. But sometimes that which I play with can be dangerous. This world is but my new playground. Its inhabitants are mere toys, insignificant to me and the time I spend creating and destroying. I’ve played war with them and they’ve failed to stop even if I want them to. Humans, the most manipulative of all, easily made to entertain me, and far too willing to. But I must say, they’ve come a long way to be crossing into dimensions they shouldn’t be able to. Now I’m unable to enter their home plane to stop them from interfering with my realms of conquest, and because of that I have to lure your kind at random to places you might find terrible, lost or simple forgotten. If I find a way to enter that plane that has been causing so much trouble, I’ll release a virus of very smart beings to flood and take over, and dissolve it into nothing but raw materials. I need it to stop interfering. And I won’t stop. This is why I’ve many many copies of me. This me is but a copy of many. You will never find the real me. But I’ll always be close.” He says, speaking in an unrecognizable accent, which is eloquent and vibrant. He rolls many o’s and i’s.

Unknown: “St-nd b-.” You receive something over implants. “Fi-e !”

Cruel Dragon: “It’s been boring. But I must kill you now.” He has a very slow laugh. “Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm.” He inhales, and there is a grinding sound in the throat and you see some sort of gas seep from the sides of his mouth. You can even smell there is a gas but it’s not familiar as it smells closest to a plastic like gum.

Unknown: “REPEAT !”

[slicsinatra]

I want to attempt to make a sleight of hand check and roll an active grenade under his head as he’s about to breathe the fire. To set him off course to make a jump or some sort of getaway.

[Dragnoxz]

As you pull out the grenade, a buzzing sound can be heard in the distance. Then you are hit with a shockwave and explosion that happens just behind the dragon, between him and his overwhelming army behind and around him. He jerks back to look, and as he does, you hear a chorus of thumping in your chest as Sox AH-64’s rise up from below the cliff view. The dragon turns to look at them with this highly surprise look on his face as his head takes a direct hit from another explosion, throwing his lower jaw open and sending tons of his brain matter and sinus material all over your area. He drops limp, if you can imagine how an elephant would sound falling from 35 feet and spilling its internals all over. The gas in his body ignited and causes something inside of him to burst into a dark downward burning flame. The AH-64’s open fire on the enemy army and begin laying waste to them, however, that wave of fluid is leaking toward you, and the only way to go is off the cliff. The orb appears over the cliff as well, and the woman’s voice tells you “HERE !”

I rush over with Lakeland and jump where the orb leads!
