Mikey was a bit taken aback by Jacks actions. Usually she seemed so calm and well put together, but it seemed like she was coming apart at the seams. True, so long in this place would do that to a person, but she seemed like she was tough enough for it.
He slowly wrapped his arms around her, feeling a bit akward but ignoring the feeling to comfort her.
Minutes passed in silence, the only sound heard being Jack's quiet sobs. Unknow to Mikey, behind his back but in plain view of Jack if she bothered to look, was the same little girl from the orphanage. She was standing there with a sad look on her face, seemingly feeling sad with Jack.
"Whats wrong?" The little girl asked, her voice a soft wisper.

Jack sniffed as she held Mikey tightly, but no matter how hard she tried to stop the tears they just kept on coming. "I- I'm tired . . . I'm hurting, and I'm scared. F- for so long I have always had to act tough, grow up on my own, fend for myself. I- i'm tired of being strong," she cried as she finally looked up at the little girl. She whipped the tears from her face and tried her best to gain her composure. Looking back to Mikey she hung her head slightly. "I'm sorry for that, and thank you," she said as she pushed herself to her feet. She wiped her face again before looking back to the little girl. "Alissa, right? For what I seen I'm so sorry that people could be that cruel to a child . . . to you."

"Dont be sorry." The little girl said with a smile. "They'll get what they deserve in the end." She said as she walked foreward and nealt down. She grabbed hold of Jack's hand and held it tightly.
"I know how hard it is, but I need you to be strong for just a bit longer. I need you to do something for me. You need to take care of him for me. The man with the smile. I can chase him all over, but I can never catch him. He wont run from you. Thats how you can get him. Kill him, and you will be that much closer to going home." She said, leaning in to give Jack a kiss on the cheek before turning around.
She reached into a pocket of her dress and pulled out a small gift wrapped box, setting it on a low table before she walked out the door and dissapeared.
Mikey, still holding onto Jack, awoke. As soon asthe girl had began to speak, Mikey had been put in a frozen state, not hearing or seeing or feeling anything. He knew nothing of the little girl, and nothing of what Jack had just been told.

Jack looked on in aw as the little girl disappeared. Her mind wrapping around the fact that they had to face that man again. Chills seemed to flow down her back as she even thought about it. Shaking her head she closed her eyes for a bit before opening them up. Looking up at Mikey from the look on his face she realized that he didn't even hear anything that was said. She hugged him tightly before parting from him. Whipping the tears from her face she stood up with a slight falter to her stance. Her knees felt like jello, from just that bit on the floor. She smiled weakly as she looked at him. "I'm sorry," she spoke lightly. "Thank you for comforting me," she said lightly as she walked to the table.
Picking up the small gift box she looked it over before looking back to Mikey. "I know what we have to do now," she said lightly. Streching her arms a bit as she continued to look at the box. Her own mind wrapping around the fact that this little girl was leaving her the gifts. Jack's eyes went wide as she realized exactly who this little girl was. She smiled lightly as she turned back to Mikey. "That freaky man that's been following us. We have to kill him, and we'll be that much closer to being out of this place," she explained as she finally opened the gift.

"Well, thats all well and good, but how are we going to go about it exactly? Even when he isnt on magic roids, he's still too f**king fast and strong." Mikey pointed out, remembering the last time when the guy was still dodgeing bullets in his normal state. He got to thinking, and had to ask. "How do you know thats what we need to do anyway?" He said.
Meanwhile, as Jack opened the small box, it didnt contain a card as the others had. Instead, it only contained a small pyramid. On further inspection, it was brown. Rough and dry, like it was made of dead skin, with weird symbols all over them. Jack recognized them as runes that bound evil spirits.

Jack smiled for a moment before turning to Mikey. "Because I was told that's what we have to do. An to be honest it's the only lead into getting out of this place," she said lightly before whiping her dried tears away. She held up the small pyramid for him to see. "I just need to get close enough to use this on him. Rather it will use itself on him when I'm close enough," she explained. Though after that she sat down on the chair for a moment in thought. "But how to bring him to us is another question. Artifacts can be used in the circles, but neither he nor I can use our powers. Even then like you said he's still strong. Outside of the circle his power far surpasses me," she sighed a bit as she leaned back.
Closing her eyes as she thought for a moment. Though her main concern would be Mikey. He was human as they come. Opening her eyes as it dawned on her. "The graveyard," she said as she turned to him. "Enough places to dogge his attacks and hide. After the fire the graveyard pratically became over populated with grave markers. Even for those who were never burried," she explained. "What do you think?" she asked as she pocketed the pyramid as to not lose it like she did the doll.

"I think your a bit more twisted than you let on." Mikey said in a joking manner, having hopped up onto the counter of the clinic and lit a cigarette. "But... I cant say I have a better idea. But tell me this. Outside of the circle thingie, he's stronger than you. How is that? How is it you cant do what he can? Its all the same aint it, magic or whatever you do? Hell, you got that book. Look in there." He said, thinking they could do this the easy way.
If not... it looked like he was going to get his ass kicked again.
"No, your not." He told himself. The last time, he had paniced. Scared s***less, he froze and then went wild, trying more to get the guy away from him than to actually kill him. It had worked, but the aim was to kill the f**ker now.
"All right, I say we go for it. That thing will... wait, whats it gonna do exactly? How will it be any different than the circle?" He asked. Jack knew all this junk. He didnt.

Jack smiled as she looked back at Mikey. "He's stronger for only one reason. He can use all his abilites without them taking a tole on him. He's been using his powers probably more than I have been alive. See, up until recently I have refused to use my powers, with the exception of the occasinal slip ups when I was younger. My body isn't use to it, and the more powerful spells I use the more damage it takes on my body. Kinda like . . . kinda like never working out for your entire life, and then suddenly you go and do a five mile run. Your going to fall out with a heartattack," she explained.
She looked the pyramid over as she sat down in the chair, and fumbled the artifact threw her fingers. She had only seen these things in the old books in her culture class, or the old world text books. She was a bit curious as to how it was come across in this day and age. "It's very simple . . . okay . . . and maybe a tad painful, or something like that. Anywise in order for it to work I have to be right up in his face, mostly for the fact that I have to also use my own powers to activate it. It's a one time thing, so only one shot. I'd prefer to get close enough to stick it in his pocket so he can't just throw it away from him," she explained as she looked back to him. Jack smiled lightly. "So, ready to go?" she asked with a slight laugh.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Mikey said. They left the clinic and stayed moving so as to not attract any unwanted attention. He hadnt even thought of the doll Jack had been given earlier. Since then it seemed like they had not run into any opposition besides that on the lake and the smiling man. Kind of weird given the circumstances, but he wasnt going to start asking for a pack of those damn dogs to pop out somewhere.
The graveyard was a helluva run, but by the time they got there they had still not run into anything out of the ordinary. The ordinary being the dead streets that never offered any kind of resistance. Taking up position in the center of the graveyard, thick with stones of all kinds, they took a small breather and waited.
"How are we gonna get him to come?" Mikey asked, looking all around and periodically turning around to look behind him. Nothing.

Jack looked back at Mikey and grinned slightly. "I haven't thought that far ahead," she said with a laugh. She walked over to the grave stones and knelt down in front of one of them. She dusted the front of the stone off to reveal a 'Sheldon Meldovy' She looked around at the various grave stones and stood back up. "Where out in the open, and hopefully he'll come to us," she said lightly. Her thoughts though were on Mikey. He was the main reason she chose the grave yard. She looked up at one of the mausoleums and smiled. "Lets check it out," she said as she pointed to it.
She seen the reluctant look on his face and laughed slightly. "Come on," she said as she pushed him playfully. She stepped inside and walked to one of the torches. Taking out a lighter she caught the end on fire. Walking around she did the same to the other five in the room providing a good amount of light. Looking around she also noticed small windows at the top of the mausoleum. She smiled lightly as she watched Mikey walking around. "I'm sorry," she said lightly as she walked toward him. "I'm sorry for dragging you into all this, and I'm sorry for this . . ." she trailed off as she raised the butt of her gun. Before he could turn around she smacked him hard across the back of the head rendering him unconscious.
She rolled him over as she took her jacket off and laid it under his head. She made sure that she didn't hurt him to much. Jack stayed there for a bit before saying heavily. "I'm so sorry for this," she said as she walked to the exit. She shut the door and used a piece of rod iron pole to tie the door shut. Jack leaned up against it as she closed her eyes knowing well enough if she survived this that Mikey was probably going to hate her. She didn't care though at least he was safe. An the smoke from the torches wouldn't build up in the room because of the windows at the top. He was safe as long as she could kill this crazed man.

Unknown to Jack, or Mikey when he was still concious, the grinning man had been watching them from afar. He had seen Jack lead Mikey into the mosoleum and come out alone, then lock the door. His mind put together what had happened, and he smiled wider. She told him just where to find Mikey, and after he was done with her, he'd finish him as well. They were both pains in his side that needed to be dealt with.
In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance between himself and Jack, stopping a manner of feet from her. He could have killed her in an instant, but he chose to see the fear first.
He saw the slight shock she showed from him popping out of nowhere in front of her and let out a laugh, raising his hand in a mocking wave. "Hello Jaqualine." He said, speaking to her for the first time. His voice sounded like a file scraping across metal mixed with nails on a chalk board. "Miss me?" He asked, laughing again.

Jack glared at the man her fist tightening as she stood there. Without her jacket on now she could feel the cool air blowing around them. "How do you know my name?" she growled. Finding it odd that only her mother and Mikey were the only people to know her real first name. "Never mind that," she said as she shifted her stance slightly. Her eyes shifting to an bright ocean blue as the wind picked up around them. "I was asked to put an end to you, and that's exactly what I'm going to do."
She shifted slightly as her hand moved to her right. The headstones started shaking, and it wasn't long before they were ripped out of the ground and hurled at the smiling man. "I'm going to put an end to your constant terror," she said under her breath.

The man laughed as Jack began her attack. He laughed at both the futility of it and the minor prestigitation she called a display of power. The huge stone blocks flew all around, aimed at him. Each time one would come in reach, he would lash out and strike it. They would all crumple and fall apart in a cloud of gravel and dust. Jack wasnt sure if he was making them weaker or if he was just strong enough to do it.
Either way, when Jack was out of headstones, he shot foreward. He grabbed her by the throat with one hand in a crushing grip, easily being stong enough to snap her neck right then and there. But, he wanted to watch her suffer. Watch the life leave her eyes. He wanted to have some fun with her first.

Jack cried out as he gripped her neck, the sudden force that his palm caused when he hit her throat causing her to gasp out. Even then as he refused to let go she struggled for air. Jack gripped his wrist with both of her hands trying her best to pry his fingers away. Struggling to breath she could already feel it growing harder to do so. Jack finally brought her foot up into his chest, and with a push she tried to seperate herself from his grip. After a bit of an attempt she finally succeded, and in turn fell to the ground gasping for air.
Looking up at the man as he started to move closer she placed her hands on the ground, and it began to shake. In an instant the ground shot up in front of him seperating them. Then as the first wall formed three more formed around him, and the top seemed to close up forming a box around him. Jack climbed to her feet as she pulled the small pyramid from her hand, and stood there trying to catch her breath as best as she could. Her hand shaking slightly as she waited for the man, and hoping that this would work.

Jack didnt get more than a few seconds of a break before she heard the pounding sounds. Pounding that was soon confirmed to be the man breaking his way out of the prison she had set for him. The caccoon of earth crumpled to the ground in a pile of dirt. The man simply dusted off the shoulders of his jacket and started walking toward her again.
-------------------------
In the tomb, Mikey finally started to stir awake. He remembered exactly what had happened, and wasnt afraid when he woke up.
"Dammit Jack..." He said, sitting up and grabbing his head from where she had hit him. Size wasnt anything to judge her by. She was pretty damn strong. He looked around for something to help him get out, but wasnt finding anything. He picked up one of the torches and started to look in the darker corners of the tomb, still finding nothing.
With a sigh and a feeling of helplessness, he turned back around and looked where he had been laying. There, with the head resting on Jack's jacket, was a pickaxe. Attached was a note. Mikey let out a chuckle in surprise, taking the note and reading it.
"She cant do it alone. Better hurry." It said, written in the same childlike lettering as all the others. He stuffed it in his pocket and picked up the tool, hefting its weight and walking over to the wall near the door. He didnt know how good this was going to go, but he tried anyway. Using all his strength, he swung to the side and dug the sharp end of the pick into the rock. It fractured, a large chunk falling to the ground. Mikey didnt know if it was the pick being magical or if the tomb was made of something besides rock, but he wasnt concerned with that right now. He kept working, disreguarding the cramps in his shoulders and the storm of dust flying around. The wall was fixing to give any minute.
