Mikey took a look at one of his pistols and smirked. "Getting cute with hiding thing's are they?" He muttered, taking a look at the other drawers. Probably over a hundred that they hadnt checked yet. He sighed and slipped the pistol into an empty holster, going on the check the other containers.
Something like 15 minutes later, they had finally recovered everything that had been taken off of them, and were ready to go. Problem was, they didnt know what kind of resistance waited for them in the church itself. Probably best to play it quiet for a while.
They edged their way up the stairs, trying to make as little noise as they could on the stone steps, and Mikey opened the door a crack to take a look out. In the hallway, facing away from them, was a man seemingly standing guard at the door. Mikey looked over at Jack and wondered what they should do.

Jack tilted her head as she studied the man. She could use her powers, but like the hidden pentagram she didn't know what was hidden within the church. Heck the pentagram could be rather large and cover the whole church, and that would just make it painful, and impossible for her. "Ah," she whispered to herself. She stepped passed Mikey as she creped up the hall. She tapped on the man's shoulder and as he turned around she brought the palm of her hand up into his nose, and then shoved him into a wall. Jack then brought her fist into his stomach doubling him over, and then brought her elbow down into the base of his neck knocking him out. Jack turned back to Mikey and waved at him, before grabbing the man by the arms and dragging him toward the room they just came out of.

"You scare me..." Mikey said in mock terror, heling her drag the man to the top of the stairs. Without thinking of it, he pushed the man through the doorway and rolled him down the stairs. He rolled down in a way that looked very painful, and landed at the base in a way that looked worse. Mikey cringed at the roll, and then shut the door as quietly as he could. He went to the corner of the hall and took a peek around the corner, seeing nothing.
He waved Jack foreward as he moved again, looking around another corner and seeing a man, this time walking toward him. Mikey popped back around and motioned that there was someone coming to Jack with his hand, trying to think of what to do. He instantly got an idea after looking around the hall. He pointed for Jack to hide behind a shelf, her being the only one who was small enough to presser against the wall enough to be hidden, and he hid against the wall at the corner. Mikey reached for his belt and pulled out one of the knives, just as the man rounded the corner. He didnt see Mikey at first, giving him the opportunity to do what he needed to.
He was working off theory, having see this in a game he once played and already knew it probably wasnt a sound plan. But, as soon as the man rounded the corner, he held the knife upside down in his left hand, his right on the end of the hilt, and he swung. The knife entered one of the mans ears, and exited the other. He didnt scream or make any noise, something Mikey didnt expect. He pulled the knife out and waved Jack foreward.

Jack moved out from the hiding place and looked down at the man with an awkward look. Not noticeable at all if someone walked by. She looked up at Mikey with a grin. "Weird, but okay," she said with a slight smirk. She quickly followed behind him as they moved threw out the church, dodging and taking down who they could. Still it seemed like the more they took down the more there was. As they approached the end or what they so hoped was the exit she started hearing the screams again. Louder than before, but it shouldn't have been possible. She was getting her strength back, and the only reason she wasn't using her powers now was because of the pentagrams. She couldn't understand why they were so ear shattering loud. She grabbed here ears as an absent thought that it may help, and staggered a bit before hitting the walls. Why was it now that this had to happen? If only it waited a bit more and they would have been out of the church. "M- Mikey," Jack chocked slightly as she held her eyes shut tightly. She slouched up against the wall continuing to hold her ears.

Mikey could see the door. The door that led outside. The door that led to freedom, in a form. He couldnt help but think that they would be safer outside with the monsters. He heard Jack call his name, and he looked over to see her slouched over an holding her ears in pain. To make it worse, one of the fanatics happened to turn the corner. He saw them, and yelled out for help. No! They were almost out!
Mikey drew his pistol and fired three times, catching the man in the chest all three times. The gunshots would alert them all if the man hadnt. He ran to Jack and knelt down, grabber her at the small of her back and lifted her onto his shoulder. For someone so small and light, she sure did a lot of damage.
As soon as he had her, he started going as fast as he could down the hall, slamming into the door with his free shoulder to try and open it. It wouldnt open.
"Stop!" He heard someone yell, and he risked a look behind him. Two of the cultists were coming down the hall after them. Mikey raised his gun again and fired rounds wildly, taking down both of them as the slide locked back. He slipped it back into its holster and went back to the door. He found the latch on the door and swung it open, only to be met with a grisly sight. What looked like several of the miners, torn to peices. Just down the stairs, what he assumed to be the culprit. The same nine foot or taller creature with the pyramid shaped helmet on its head. It held the huge sword in its hand that was covered in blood, and it stood there like a statue.
Mikey took a chance on a theory, something he hadnt wanted to try before or even had the chance to, but he was desperate. He ran straight for the creature, to the side when he got off the stairs and then away from the creature. It still stood there, doing nothing.

When Mikey finally came to a stop almost a block away Jack found her head pounding, but the screaming had stopped. As he sat her down she leaned her head back against the wall. Closing her eyes tightly and just let her arms relax in her lap. She took a couple of deep breaths before letting it out slowly. "Right . . . we avoid corny looking Miners next time," she mumbled under her breath. After a moment she leaned forward rubbing her temples. "I would like to throw out there. How about we find some place secure and catch some z's in the process," she said as she looked up at Mikey. She sat on the ground a bit longer, before climbing to her feet. She looked back down the street. "Grandma sent help," she said as she looked back toward Mikey. "At least I'm hoping so. At the graveyard she summoned that creature to save me," she pointed out. Rubbing the back of her neck she sighed. "So what you say about that nap?"

"I think..." Mikey said, a bit out of breath. He'd moved with a quickness he hadnt in quite a while with a hundred pound load and too much smoking. He swore, if he made it out of here, he was going to quit. Pretty damn sure that was a promise he could keep.
"... that sounds like a good idea." He said inbetween breaths, looking around for a place they could go. He looked a bit down the street, and saw what looked like a diner. For some reason, it looked... inviting.
"How about there?" He asked her, pointing it out. He didnt know why, he just had a good feeling about it.

Jack didn't wait for anything else to be said. She grabbed Mikey by the arm and dragged him toward the dinner. "Thanks for saving me back there," she said as they approached the dinner. She looked it over, and noticed the windows had blinds that were closed. She smiled as she turned the knob and the door opened. Stepping inside she looked around, and as Mikey entered she shut and locked the door behind him. It was a cozy dinner with several tables a couple of pin ball machines, and then the kitchen. Jack wasn't up to looking for food that was good to eat. She was more tired than hungry. "I'm off to sleep," she said with a grin as she grabbed a couple of tables and pushed them in front of the door. An then in one of the corners she laid down on the ground. Taking her jacket off she used it as a pillow, and as soon as her head hit she was out.

Mikey helped Jack with moving the tables and making sure there wasnt another way in before he went on a small walk. The back door was already blocked off because of a freezer that had been knocked over. It looked like it weighed a ton, literally, so there wasnt much hope of someone getting in there. Even if the tables wernt as sturdy, they would alert them to someone trying to force open the front doors.
Mikey took a seat against the wall in the opposite corner as Jack, lighting a cigarette as he took out his gun and reloaded it. He sat in silence as he finished the smoke and stubbed it out on the ground before he laid down and set the gun in easy reach. He cushioned his head with his arms and yawned before falling asleep almost instantly.

Jack yawned a bit as she rolled onto her side. Her head nuzzling slightly into her arms. After a long and well deserved nap she finally opened her eyes. She rubbed them a bit before sitting up and looking around the darkly lite room. She yawned again before climbing to her feet and streching her arms. She looked over to Mikey who was still asleep. Smiling a bit as she moved to the front window. She was glade that he could get some rest in this place. Cracking the blind on the window she just stood there gazing out at the street for the clones to come looking for them.

Oddly, the street was empty when Jack went to check them through the blinds of the window. She could see the whole street, even the church from here, and she saw nothing. Not even the large creature who had protected their getaway the day before. Nothing to be seen...
Mikey awoke shortly after Jack, sitting up and cracking his neck to aleviate the cramp forming from sleeping on it at an odd angle. He stood up and walked over to the window next to Jack after collecting his gun and looked out the window next to her. "What now?" He asked, not sure what to do.

Jack sighed heavily as she walked to the door and started pulling the tables away. "Right now we get as far away from that cursed church and it's inhabitants," she said as she opened the door. Stepping out onto the street she looked around again and let out a heavy sigh. Turning back to Mikey she shook her head. "It's clear. Lets just get away from here. I don't care where we go," she said as she looked up at him. She waited for him before taking off up the road. She walked at a fast pace taking allies and road on top of road. She didn't stop to rest until they were far away, or at least she hoped. She finally set down on a bench and leaned forward resting a bit. "Sorry about dragging us into that situation."

Mikey nodded silently when Jack told them they needed to get away from the church. Made a lot of sense to him. They left, Mikey keeping pace with Jack the whole walk. At the point when Jack stopped to take a rest, she looked up at Mikey only to see... He wasnt there. At some point, she had lost sight of him for a moment and didnt remember seeing him again.
Mikey, who had remembered stopping for a moment to look at a sound he heard behind them, turned to find Jack missing.
"Jack?" He said, hoping she had just turned a corner without him. "Jack?!" He yelled louder. Nothing.
Jack didnt hear anything as she searched for Mikey.

Jack looked up to Mikey and quickly jumped to her feet. "Mikey!" she shouted as she turned around. "Yo! Mikey!" she hollered again as she started back toward the alley. She didn't understand where she had lost him. She thought he was right behind her all the way. She could hear his footsteps as they ran, where did she lose him? As she tried to retrace her steps she soon realized she didn't even know where she had gone. "Mikey!" she shouted again, this time cupping her mouth. "s***," she groaned as she headed back out to the street. Looking around she knew what she had to do. She had to search for him, and that she knew was going to take a rather long time. Still she couldn't leave him out there . . . mostly for that fact he was the one pulling her ass out of the burner quite a bit. Grinning at the thought she made her way up the street.

As Jack turned the corner to the next street, she came face to face with someone. Someone who was probably the last person in the world she wanted to be alone with. The same woman in the blue dress who had summoned the lizard earlier. She looked at Jack before letting out a laugh.
"You have caused me no end of troubles. I'm going to enjoy this." She said, rubbing what looked like a necklace in her right hand.
