A massive structure brought upon by the consumer's need to purchase bulk quantities of everyday household items. It's a two-story super-structure that holds a flame to the Raccoon City Mall. Chaos seemed to have effected sales here as it is mostly barricaded up and destroyed near the back end. There is still plenty of food available, but the smart shopper would stray away from the perishables; the amount of time they have been sit lead them to rot and become unedible. The windows higher up were left open but the roof was welded shut in the opening hours of the outbreak. It's parking lot is normally filled with cars, but the business seems slow as of late and there are more unwelcome customers than there used to be. It's not rare to see a pocket of survivors holed out inside- be careful when approaching though.. There's no telling what dangers lies inside- rather it be monsters or psychopaths.

While Lance wanders around looking for any sign of survivores he came across a groucery store. As soon as Lance saw the store he started moving quicker while ducking behind every car. On the way to the store he saw a zombie eating a police officer that was hanging half way out of the driver seat of his police crewser. So Lance pulled up his Dan Wesson M1911 pistol and snuck up closer to the feading zombie and put a bullet in the back of its head. Then Lance moved over to the car quickly and stomped on the head of the dead police officer to make sure that the officer didnt get back up.
Lance reached down and grabbed the police officers standered issued police 9mm and the two clips that were still sitting in the officers belt. Then he hopped into the police crewser to check to see if the keys were in it and sure enough the keys were in the ignition. Lance turned the key to see if the car would start. It took a few seconds to start but eventually it started and it still had three quarters of a tank left. Lance threw his green bag into the back seat and crawled into the front seat and shut the door. Lance unzipped his coat and put him on the passanger seat.
Lance pulled up to the front door of the store and grabbed Tyrant and put him back in his coat and zipped it up. Lance got out of the car and put the 9mm and the two clips in his waist band. Then he reached into the back and emptied his green bag out into the back but left the stuff he might need inside it. Then he stood up and put the military bag on his back. Then some guy came running up to Lance and put a gun to the back of his head and said, "give me the keys to the car." Lance spoke up and said, "hey man we can work together it would make it safer for the both of us." The guy leaned in close to Lance while keeping the gun to Lances head and whispered to him, "Im not taking the chance of you being infected. So give me the keys to your car or ill put another air hole in the back of your head."
Lance smiled and quickly moved out of the way of the gun and grabbed the guys and elbowed him in the face breaking his nose. Lance twisted the guys wrist forcing him to drop the gun. Lance reached down and grabbed the gun and realized that it was fake. Then Lance brought his knee up slamming it into the guys face knocking him out. Then Lance walked into the store with his new 9mm up at point. The first thing Lance saw that he wanted was a milky way. Lance put one into his mouth and put the rest of the box into his bag. Then he started grabbing some other kinds of candy and putting them into his military bag. Once Lance finished putting candy into his bag he opened the milky way up that was in his mouth and started eating it while looking around the store for more supplies.
Once Lance had finished getting supplies he walked quickly out to the car and threw his military bag into the back seat again. Then he climbed into the front seat and locked the doors to the car. Lance pulled out his pocket knife and started unscrewing the cage that seperated the front seat from the back seat. Once Lance had gotten the cage off he looked around to make sure the coast was clear then he poped the trunk of the car and got out and put the cage in the trunk and hoped back into the front seat. Then Lance reached into the back and grabbed a bottel of water and a bowl and set the bowl on the floor board of the passanger side. Lance filled up the bowl with water and set Tyrant on the floor so he could drink some.
Once Tyrant finished the water that was in the bowl Lance picked up the bowl while Tyrant struggled to get up on the passanger seat. Then Lance put the key into the ignition and started the car and drove away.
(Lance and Tyrant are now at the mall."

Jeremy held his .45 Taurus at eye level, taking a cautious step around a dead, decaying body that lay in his path. He turned, and making sure that it stayed dead, put a bullet through its head. He stood for a moment straining his ears. There was no moaning, no apparent reaction from any people that might have been nearby either. After a moment he straightened up, casting a practiced glance around. There was nothing approaching, so he turned again, casting a last 360 degree look as he stood, and moved towards the large store. He closed his eyes, trying to focus as best he could on any sounds that there might be to hear, but cleared the street and parking lot, coming up on the store's entrance. A scowl crossed his face upon seeing the size of the store. This was not good. In a store this large there were any number of places for an ambush, and not just by zombies. Who knew what psychopath could be living inside here? Still, beyond the entrance he could see shelves stocked with food, and he did know how to navigate, having been here many times before. With a sigh and a whispered "I've got a bad feeling about this, he entered the store, gun at eye level, prepared he hoped, for the danger ahead. Alright now what do I need? Water, canned food, and.....probably some extra clothes if I can find any. Water first though. Jeremy made his way to the bottled water and juice aisle, scanning them until he found some Aquafina water bottles in a 25 bottle pack. Before doing anything else, he rose, grabbing several large shards of glass as he went. Using the glass, he made a layer of it, scattering the fragments at either end of the aisle. Anything walking across the glass would make noise, alerting him of its presence. Feeling slightly better, Jeremy knelt next to the water bottles, and began removing some of them to put in his pack.

[Scott, Craig, Josh, Kelly and Stephanie are in between Stoneville Airport and Raccoon City]
Scott had been driving for an hour and only had an hour to go after leaving the airport where a man had so generously given him his moterhome that had previously cost 1'000'000. Now, that they made some "upgrades", its value is most likely decreased. Craig had only just fallen asleep a bunk bed and Josh and his family were sleeping in the double bed at the back with Stephanie in between them. "Stephanie, I'll find you soon". Scott's sister Stephanie had run away just before the outbreak and Scott knew she showed interest in the outbreaks around Raccoon City, so he assumed she'd be there. The GPS told him Raccoon City was 50 km away, only 1 hour to go. He would have been going faster but there was a lot of debris on the highway. Many times Scott saw a creature feasting around the highway and every so often one would be on the highway and Scott would run it over. He heard some stirring behind him and the toilet flushing. Scott looked in the rearview mirror and saw Stephanie coming out of the toilet. "Hey Scotty..." "Hey there Steph, sleep well?" "No, there were monsters everywhere, and there was a really big thing, it had a big coat and glasses, bright green ones. It was scary, but then this guy came and killed it, he looked a lot like you." "Like me? By that description I don't think I'd be able to kill something like that." "That's what I dreamt, how far away are we?" "About one hour" Stephanie looked around and saw a TV. "I wonder if this works?" Stephanie turned it on and there was nothing but static, she changed the channels and found one with decent reception. "This is Georgia Alexandra reporting live from New York, the city is in a state of chaos, no one is sure as how this virus broke out but what is known is that it has surrounded the globe. Everyone is looking to Raccoon City for answers. In 1998, something like this happened but was isolated in Raccoon City and the government decided nuking it would be an option, until survivors came out and then they decided that military would be a better alternative. The city was cleaned up by 2009, but it looks like it didn't all dissapear... "Hey, can I put a movie on?" Stephanie asked. "Sure, if you can find one, make sure it's G, I don't want your parents being cranky at me for letting you watch something you shouldn't." Not that it matters anymore Stephanie looked around until she found "Over the Hedge". She put it in the DVD player and started watching it. Half an hour later, Craig was up and was checking the GPS to see if there was anything good on it, there was nothing else to do. Stephanie said, "Hey, we're kinda like the animals aren't we?" Craig looked at her, "What do you mean?" "Well, the animals are being chased by the bad guys, just like we're being chased by those monsters." "Well, I guess" Scott said "So, we'll win right? The good guys always win." Scott said, "Yeah, we'll win" I hope
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They started entering Raccoon City and Josh and Kelly had woken up, they decided it be best to all sit in the seats and wear the seatbelts just in case. Stephanie didn't like the idea cause it pulled her away from the movie, till the movie was put on the TV already installed in the bus, at first she complained it was smaller, but then she was content when put in a seat closer to the TV. Scott was driving along, noticing the destruction. "So where are we headed?" Well, I was thinking of heading to the R.P.D., so we could try and find your sister, Jessika. I might find my sister too." All of a sudden a group of Hunters ran onto the street and Scott ran them over, but the left wheel got jammed and ran over some knifes from a cutlery truck slashing the tyres. Scott remained control, but hit a truck containing poles. One of the poles hit the windscreen side on hitting him in the head knocking him unconscious, and slamming the accelerator down. "Christ" Craig yelled before grabbing the wheel and trying trying to keep it straight, but with the left wheel slashed it was being difficult, a group of people were walking on the road and he honked the horn.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, where do we go know?" I was thinking the mall, there's sure to be something there" "Well, it's right up ahead." BRRRNNNNKKK BRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNK!!!!!!!!! The girls turned around to see a buscaged with metal heading towards them, it had remains of those green gorilla things on its front and it was leaning to the left. They saw inside to see the driver leaning forward and an African-American steering. "Out of the way, the oldest pushed them all including herself out of the way and watched as the bus continued.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bus continued forward and the group leapt out of the way, not without Craig swerving though. As it was heading to the right side where shops were he swerved to the left, hit a ute causing it to shudder, but it was still going forward... to a large pair of glass doors. "MUMMY!!!" "Shh, it's going to be okay!" The bus smashed through the doors and Craig continued to honk the horn, the bus hit many kiosks causing it to slow down as it rammed into a Hummer that was obviously to be won. The wheels continued to spin but the bus had stopped, but it was still able to move forward if given the chance. Craig was laying across the dashboard and Scott awoke, he then took his foot of the accelerator and noticed it was stuck. Then he realised, he used to catch a bus all the time. Putting his foot on the brake, he stopped the wheels. He then opened the door and took his foot off the brake, it didn't move. "Good, at least that feature is good for something." "How'd you do that?" "Having to catch a school bus every morning and afternoon has it's perks, and I learnt that when the doors are open, it cuts off any acceleration to prevent people falling out. We'd be screwed if it were a coach, they were made before Workplace Health and Safety came along." "Mummy! IS Craig alright?" Craig groaned and lifted himself off the dashboard, his arm was at a weird angle, but he just grabbed it and put it back into place, and screamed in pain. "I guess it was just dislocated" Craig said after screaming, it's happened before." Scott took a chance to be funny, "What dislocating your shoulder? Or crashing into a bus windscreen after slamming into what look like a hummer in a massive store?" Josh just looked at him, "Well, at least someone can make humour out of this. Anyway, it looks like we're in a supastore, let's see if we find anything. Then we can head to the R.P.D."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The girls looked and saw the bus crash into the store. "Jesus, I wonder if they're alright." The younger one asked. "Yvonne, I'm sure they will be alright, unless they weren't wearing seatbelt." Yvonne replied, "Oh shut up Bec, come on, let's see if they're okay, come on!" The two ran up while the older lingered, That driver looked familiar, maybe? No, why would he be here. Bec turned around while Yvonne continued, then stopped and turned around. "Come on Bec, what you waiting for?" Bec looked at Yvonne, then at the elder, "You alright?" "The elder replied, yeah, I'm fine." "Then come on" Yvonne yelled. Bec and the elder ran up to Yvonne and continued to the store. "Why'd you wait behind?" Bec asked "I was thinking" They arrived in the store. They looked ahead and saw the bus and a car underneath it. Five people climbed out of it. The african-american who was steering, a man, a woman and a little go, and... "Scott? Scott!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scott climbed out of the bus and heard his name being called. He turned and saw three girls. "Those are those girls from before." Craig annonced. Scott vision still being blurry he walked up to them. I know that voice "Who are you?" Scott asked. Yvonne piped up, "I'm Yvonne, this is Bec and this is- The elder interupted, "If he doesn't know my name I'll cry" she said in a sarcastic voice. Of course, it's her "STEPHANIE!"
"STEPHANIE"
"I'm right here Scott, no need to yell." Stephanie said shaking her head of the noise. "Where'd you go? Why'd you leave?" Scott asked. "If you don't mind Scott, I'd prefer to tell you in a more private vicinity. The girls don't know" Stephanie told him in a whisper. "Okay, uhh, Stephanie and I are just going to go check for supplies, to uh, go to the R.P.D. See if you guys can fix the bus, it's the best transportation we've got." Craig and the Family nodded, but Yvonne said, "Wait, we're going with you!" "No, you girls can go, umm, find some clothes in some of the stores, imagine it that you can get anything you wanted, but you don't have to pay!" Stephanie told them. Yvonne looked at Rebecca with excitement and the ran off dragging her along. Craig just shook his head and started inspecting the bus. The younger Stephanie came up and said, "When will you be back Scotty?" "Scotty?" Stephanie giggled. "We should be back soon Steph, go back to Craig, Uncle Josh and Aunty Kelly. Stephanie nodded and ran back, Stephanie looked at him, "Steph?" "Yeah, her name is Stephanie too. "Ah, so, why are we going back to the R.P.D.?" "To look for Craig's sister, wait, what do you mean back?" ""Oh, umm..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FLASHBACK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stephanie jumped out the window and found her dad's car. She unlocked the door and hi-jacked it. She had to get to the R.P.D., she needed as much information as possible. After a few hours she got to the R.P.D. and found a lot of people in chaos, as well as a lot of creatures. Knowing the layout of the precint thanks to the files already obtained, she found the back exit through to the heliport, there was a watertower and a wall, with an unpainted brick wall centralized around an older looking wall. That must be where that helicopter crashed. That guy got killed when that cop, uh, can't remember his name, came up to the precint. Why was he there? Oh yeah, his car was blown up cause of a truck after he met, umm, man I'm terrible with names. Anyway, that was in that file, uh, G-Virus, there might be a sample of that somewhere around here. She entered the precint and after a lot of stressful work, made it to the remains of William's lab. She entered the freezer room and shot a licker that had been feasting on the now dead body of a Tricell clean-up crew. Tricell? What are they doing here. She saw that he was holding a briefcase and she opened it. It made a hiss and it opened. Inside were four vials. A dark-purple one, a light orange one, a green one, and an extremly dark purple. There were also labels. T, Progenitor, G, T-Veronica. [Please note the actual character, Scott, does not use these, this is for story purposes and not for weapons purposes and at no time handles the viruses.] Why does he have these four? And why haven't they been collected. Oh well, makes my job easier, now I just need NE-T and Las Plagas, I'm sure someone would be willing, oh, he's holding another vial in his hand. "T Anti-Virus" Ironic, used the anti-virus but died of blood loss, not infection. Pity, there are no T-103's about, the one that S.T.A.R.S. member encountered, Nemesis. It couldn't hurt to aquire that either. She then heard footsteps behind her and turned around, there were four Tricell people in clean-up uniforms. "Make one move and you die" One of them announced. "Ha, shoot me and I'll drop these vials, then it would be lost wouldn't it? Lost when that cop and the S.T.A.R.S. member's sister blew it all up along with Birkin, then again in Harvardville?" "How do you know about that?" "Wellm I happen to be somewhat similar to that girl Alexia and the the BSAA medic, Rebecca. I am very smart and know a lot about medicine. However, you will not no my name, cause you will die soon, but the rest of the world will soon no my name. Too bad, that you shall die!" She then took out her handgun and shot all four in the head. "Pity, I was looking for a challenge."
Stephanie then went back into the precint with the briefcase and anti-virus in her backpack. There, she met Yvonne and Rebecca, survivors of the outbreak. They decided it would be best to get some supplies make an escape. They were walking down a street. "So, are you with the R.P.D.? Cause you came out of the door. " Yvonne asked. "Yes, I'm with the R.P.D." Yvonne lied. "So, how come you left, and left the rest of the officers there?" Rebecca countered. "Because, I was sent to get supplies and they thought it was best that everyone dispersed from the precint, otherwise the creatures would have a nice feast." Stephanie told her. "Well, where do we go now?" Yvonne told her. "I was thinking the mall, there's sure to be something there" Rebecca said "Well, it's right up ahead." BRRRNNNNKKK BRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNK!!!!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~END FLASHBACK~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wait a minute, so you have the viruses here?" Scott asked, "Yes, I do" Stephanie replied state-of-factly. "Give them here" Scott asked holding out his hand. "Why? Why would I give them to you?" Stephanie replied taken aback. "Cause I have to say, at the moment you seem a little... untrustworthy." Stephanie stopped walking and Scott turned around. There was another hummer to their right and to their left was a collapsed store. "Untrustworthy? Scott, I'm your sister." Stephanie said, almost in tears. "Yes you are. But you ran away, went to the R.P.D., to the underground labs, killed four people and took highly dangerous viruses with you and you just show up and expect me to behave unaccordingly?" "Well, I thought you might've, as you're my brother. But it looks like I was wrong, if that's the case." Stephanie kicked him in the groin and took off towards the hummer, before Scott could overcome the pain Stephanie drove off down the hallway and all that he heard was, "Yvonne, Rebecca, come on! It's time!" He heard gunshots and tyres screeching. Scott sprinted back to the bus and saw Josh and Kelly dead. Craig was in the bus and Stephanie was in with him. "Jesus Christ, what happened?" Craig asked jumping out of the bus. Stephanie ran out as well and saw her dead Uncle and Aunty. "Uncle, Aunty! Why aren't you waking up! Uncle, aunty!" She broke down in tears and Craig comforted her. "Did those girls just kill them and drive off?" "Yes, they are dangerous, I have to find my sister, she's too young and immature to make any decisions like this." Scott replied. "Like what? Driving off from your brother and killing two people!?" "Not only that, but she has... she has the T-Virus with her, as well as others even more deady." "What!? How? Who cares, but you must find her before she does anything stupid." Craid responded. He carried the crying girl into the bus an dput her in the big bed. Craig then popped his head out, "The bus is fixed, but what are you going to do about them?" Scott replied, "Burn 'em" He put them in a garden bed isolated by the footpath, coated them in oil and lit them up. "Come on" Scott got into the bus and sat in the driver's seat." "Where're we going" Craig asked after they left the supa-center. "Well, we're going to find your sister, then I will find Stephanie's parents and give her back, then I will track down my sister." Scott asked. He ran over a Hunter. "I hate to ask but, what if they're dead?" Craig asked back. "Not my problem, you could come if you want, but you would not hold me back, I need to find my sister." Scott replied running over a few zombies feasting on a body. He then stopped outside a large building and metal grate. There, he saw the large letters R.P.D. Also, outside the building was a lare hummer. "Why would they come back?"
[Scott, Craig, Stephanie, Yvonne, Rebecca and the other Stephanie are now at the R.P.D.]
After about an hour of walking Matthews arrived at the super center to find that the place was deserted as expected. Before entering he paused, silent, listening for the sounds of zombies nearby. Hearing nothing that seemed particularly close he readied his colt .45 and leaned against the wall to the side of the front entrance. He took a deep breath and quickly turned and entered the building, .45 loaded, aimed, and ready for anything that points more than a finger in his direction.
Once inside Matthews quickly looked around to make sure that he wasn't being followed by anything, then relaxed a bit and started his search. His first objective was another bag, his own bag was good enough for a few things but it was still a bit smaller than he would like, so a bigger bag or another bag was preferable. Spying a nearby sporting goods store he went inside and began looking, eventually coming across a large unmarked grey duffel bag that slung over his shoulder easily and tightened to keep from swinging and falling from his shoulder. Trying it out, Matthews was satisfied with his find and slung the new bag across his shoulder and left the store. Upon leaving however he was greeted by the sound of moaning, shuffiling feet, and the odor of decay. Looking around Matthews found himself surrounded as a small horde of zombies closed in on him.
's***, how did I not notice them before? (sigh) whatever... Doesn't change a thing... They were dead before-' He drew his .45-'and they'll soon be dead again...'
Taking aim, Matthews put three rounds into the torso of a zombie directly ahead of him, before running up to it and delivering an upward palm-thrust which essentially imploded the creature's face. Turning he fired the remaining four rounds into the face of another oncoming zombie to his left, it fell and moved no more. Turning back to center Matthews ran ahead to put some distance between him and his pursuers, vaulting benches, overturning trash-cans, and eventually coming to a stop at the foot of an escalator in the heart of the Center. Seeing the ten zombies still following, Matthews took a second to reload his handgun, and dropping to one knee, he took aim, fired seven shots, three of which hit home between the eyes of three of the zombies and scrambled what brains they still had.
'Five down, seven to go... f**k...' Reholstering the .45, Matthews drew his shotgun... 'Six shots, five dead bastards, I like those odds...'
Matthews waited a few seconds for them to get closer...closer...still closer...and when they were about ten feet from him they were in a nice tight little group...just what he was waiting for. He aimed low and fired, knocking three of them down, and staggering the other two, he cocked his gun and charged. Bashing the first of the two standing zombies with the butt of the gun, Matthews then pushed it down, and crushed its head beneath his shoe. He turned to the other standing zombie and leveled the barrel with it head, pulling the trigger and obliterating its head, then turning to face the three downed zombies, he brought the gun to each of their heads in turn, and ended them in a similar fashion. Reloading his shotgun and colt .45, Matthews took a deep breath and continued his search for supplies... Not knowing that he was being watched...
Arriving at an outdoor supplies store, Matthews began looking for a cooler for his rations. Settling on a small red cooler he could easily lug around, he filled it with ice, and moved his assorted beverages from his bag to the cooler. Picking it up, he then started out, .45 in one hand, cooler in the other, and looked for a gun shop thinking that this place had to have at least one gun shop. He eventually arrived in front of a shop with a big sign over the door that read 'The Bull'seye Dealership'.
"Eh, odd name I guess, but hey it's a gun shop, there's gotta be some ammo left in here."
It was clear that he had not been the first person to try the shop, but looking around, indeed there was still some ammo left around the shop. There was a about fifty 00Buck shotgun shells laying here and there on the floor, as well as one forty .45 rounds for the handgun. Collecting it all, he walked out ready to head back...
Only to stop in shock and alarm when he felt a small object whiz by his head, just missing his right ear. Dropping the cooler, he dove for cover behind a nearby hotdog stand, its contents long eaten or rotten by now. Pulling out his Colt .45 Matthews listened for any indication of his attacker's location. He looked around cautiously, knowing that a mistake here could easily be the one that gets him killed.
Suddenly he heard the sound of laughing from the second floor across from the stand. Chancing a glance, he noted that his attacker looked about 5'6, had a handgun of some sort, and most likely was insane... The person leaning over the railing to laugh at him had a gray flat-top hairdo, a plain black T-shirt on, a back-pack slung over his shoulder, was waving a handgun around like a lighter at a rock-concert, and hid his face with a plastic frankenstein mask.
"Ah-ha ha ha ha ha h ah... You should've seen the look on your face man!!! Ah-ha ha ha ha ha ha... Aw that was priceless..."
"Who the Hell are you?!?!"
"Aw, what?" The masked assailiant yelled his tone changing from humorous to hurt. "You don't remember me?"
"How the Hell am I supposed to remember someone if I can't see their face?" Matthews retaliated, if there was one thing to remember about psychos that Matthews picked up from friends, it's to keep them calm, a ****ed psycho was trouble, and a depressed one was God damn deadly. Trying to keep the guy calm he continued. "I can't see your face man, how am I supposed to remember you if I can't see your face?"
"NO YOU DON'T!!! You're just trying to get me to take off my mask so the zombies will kill me and you can have it!!! Or so that you can kill me and have it!!! WHICH IS IT???" He screamed.
"No, no, no, man you got it all wrong. I just don't know anyone who wears a frankenstein mask any day that ain't frickin Halloween."
"But I wear a mask, and you don't know anyone who wears a mask... SO YOU DON'T REMEMBER ME!!!"
"No, I-" He was cut off as another bullet whizzed by his head forcing him to duck down...
"YOU LIE!!! DIE YOU LIAR!!!"
And with that the masked psycho began to fire rapidly into the hotdog stand. Matthews kept his head down and counted the shots, knowing the guy would have to reload sometime... And he did after a good nine shots, the sound of gunshots was replaced with a soft clicking noise as the gun tried to fire ammo that wasn't there. Matthews leapt into action, dashing toward a nearby staircase to the upper floor, he readied his .45 as he turned a corner and dove into a nearby shop. Staying toward the edge of the wall so he could get a shot at his attacker next chance he got. The attacker in question had by now reloaded and had his gun trained on the wall of the shop Matthews was in, and proceeded to fire nine rounds into it. Seeing his opurtunity Matthews rounded the corner and prepared to take down his foe when it occured to him, he started counting after he ducked behind cover... He forgot about the first shot...
His opponent leveled his gun with Matthews, and fire the single shot left, Matthews had started to dive out of the way when he realized his opponent still had a very good chance to kill him, but he didn't quite make it away from the shot completely. The bullet sank into his left arm as he right to avoid the shot. His whole left side exploded in pain as the bullet entered, and exited his arm just above his left elbow, but he had to ignore that, if he stopped now he would die. Using his good arm Matthews aimed and fired twice, the first bullet went astray, the second hit home and pierced the psycho's right hand, causing him to drop the gun. Matthews got up and closed the distance quickly, slugging his foe right square in the face, breaking his nose and knocking a few teeth loose, and then quicly threw him to the ground and pinned him beneath his knee.
"Come on man... Why'd you f**king shoot me? Cause I shot you? Then what, that doesn't make you un-shot... You're not gonna kill me are you?" The now helpless enemy asked, his voice cracking a bit. "Oh, s*** you are gonna kill me for real aren't you? Please man, I wanna live, I wanna have a wife and kids some day man... Please don't kill me!!!" He now had broken down sobbing facing what he belived to be certain death...
Matthews reached for the mask and pulled it loose, revealing a face he hadn't seen less than a hundred times in his life...
[Flashback] Matthews had just joined 'The End of Days' and was getting used to the hangout that doubled as home for most of the gang, when a dark-skinned boy about two inches shorter than him approached him, "Heh, so you're the one who came out with a knife huh? Didn't you ever hear that saying 'Never bring a knife to a gunfight' man?"
"Didn't stop George from takin' one did it?"
"He's the leader, he's an exception... Bet you think you're some badass gonna take that knife and-"
"Put it to some little bastard's throat and shut him up for good? Why that's a f**kin' GREAT idea..." he said as he put said knife to said little bastard's throat...
"Come on man... What're you gonna do, kill me? You wouldn't... Would you? Aw s***, you are gonna kill me aren't you? Come on man I wanna live, I wanna have a wife and kids some day man... PLEASE DON'T KILL ME MAN!!!"
Matthews laughed for a second, then let the him go... "Nah, I'm not gonna kill ya. Scare ya till you **** yourself sure, but not kill you."
"Whew, thanks, but don't you ever pull that s*** again man, you hear me?"
"Yeah, yeah, so what you gotta name or will I have to stick with little bastard?"
[End Flashback]
Matthews laughed for a second, then let the him go... "Nah, I'm not gonna kill ya. Scare ya till you **** yourself sure, but not kill you."
"Whew, thanks, but don't you ever pull that s*** again man, you hear me?"
"Yeah, yeah, so what you gotta name or-"
"Name's Frankie, Frankie Bince... You?"
"Cody, but just call me Matthews..." He replied shaking the psycho's hand...
"See? You do remember me!!!"
"Told you it was the mask..."
"Listen, now that my mask is gone, they'll find me, take this man," He handed Matthews a set of keys, "it's parked right in front, can't miss it in the empty lot, just take it and go, don't let them find you man!!!" He yelled as he began to run off.
"Hey wait!!! What the Hell are you-" He stopped see as his friend/attacker had disappeared from view.
"Whatever, f**kin' little bastard..."
Matthews recollected his cooler and decided to see what he had just been given. No sooner did he find it, than his jaw dropped, holy s***!!!"
A mint condition Harley Davidson Bike was the ride that Matthews had just been given the keys to, with flame decals, a full tank of gas, and a side-car for transporting people, or in this case stuff...
"Thank you Frankie you psychopathic little bastard..."
'This is going to make things a lot easier.'
Mounting the bike, he made sure that all his tuff was securely situated so that he wouldn't be losing anything on the trio back, he sure as hell didn't want to stop for anything. Once confident about the stuff, he then took note of his left arm. It still throbbed from the shot, but he could move it, and he could use it... All he needed.
Starting the bike, he revved the engine twice, checked the gas tank (full), and then took off back to what had at this point become his base of operations... The airport.
*Walks around the area of the shopping center*
The large man was hungry to say in the least bit, he was a 200 something pound male and hadn't eaten in 3 days. He knew the risk of entering the store but hey, when a man is hungry... He would grab his guns knowing this mission wasn't going to be the least bit quiet. As he walked through the parking lot he saw almost a path of dead bodies, some human some zombies. This let him know off top the place had to have more than 30 zombies inside, but this fazed him not allowing him to grab a shopping cart and rush towards the inside. As he entered the doors (which somehow still automatically opened) he ran over about 5 zombies, which even though still are alive, were incapacitated to say in the least bit. He then rushed through the shopping center guns'a'blazin and headed to the sports center, he didn't really need any food this second, and the zombies were to slow to catch him so he was okay for the moment.
He found shinguard's next to a pile of soccer balls and strapped them on the back of his thighs knowing this is his most vulnerable spot, if a zombie could somehow make it towards his upper body it would be a quick death considering Dereal benches about 415. He sees as a couple come threw the lanes from every direction trying to attack, he throws a soccer ball at one and begins to open fire on the other 5 attacking. Of the 8 shots fired (4 from each gun) 6 land taking out the zombies right there, but more are compelled to follow because of the noise. He dashes through the lanes again heading to the food section which looks like a battleground, dead bodies EVERYWHERE along with a team of zombies! He empties his rounds into the zombies and puts up his guns drawing his sword. He stabs one zombie in the eye, impaling it and having the sword stick out the skull. With the same sword still in the head he stabs another zombie in the head, but as he turns to repel an attack from another zombie, the sword breaks inside the heads, leaving him to fall and throw the combat knife in his boot into the face of the zombie attacking. He then pulls out the broken sword and sheaths it tying it closed with the shirt of a dead human. While the other zombies fall on the piles of dead, Dereal retrieves his knife and grabs his tire iron and swings off at the zombies in his path.
He finds the food he needed... RAMEN! He grabs the food and stuffs it in his bag, quickly grabbing about 10 packs. He dodges another wave of zombies and finds a pack of water bottles that he grabs (loaded with about 20 water bottles). He dashes to the exit but finds the zombies crowding the checkout lanes. So he begins to throw the bottles of water at the zombies in aisle three and grabs a plastic bag, putting about 5 bottles of water into the bag, jumping on the checkout counter and hoping over about two zombies. As he leaves his sees a car parked in front he hadn't noticed, but had been there a while (dried blood covered it). He took the shirt that tied his katana to the sheath and put it into the gas tank, he then pushed the car into the entrance and lit the shirt on fire while lighting a cigarette in his pocket. He cooling dashed away from the car as it exploded caving in the first entrance, and smoked saying only... "Thats why I shop at Wal-Mart..."
[Kaiah and Katie enter the Shopright Super Center]
As Kaiah and Katie pulled up to the parkinglot of the store, they had sat inside the car momentarily, Katie pulling her head back against the seat, lettig out a frustrated sigh. Kaiah had been leaning forward, arms on the dashboard as she frowned. Her brother couldn't be dead. He just couldn't be...
"I hope Jake's alright..." she murmured. "We shouldn't have left him, didn't matter what he said, we should have stayed there..."
By the time Amanda and Jake reached the parking lot, they saw the empty car, and realized the others mustve went inside. There was a number of infected at the large set of doors, trying to break in. But they had no luck, and just turned to stumble toward Amanda and Jake. As Jake took out most of them, Amanda walked right up to another, and pulled the trigger at close range between the eyes on the last one, making sure not to miss.
Katie heard the gunshots from inside, and ran to the doorway. Seeing that the infected were gone, she yelled to Kaiah that Jake and Amanda were alright. "Hey, come on, theyre here!" Opening up the doors for Jake and Amanda to enter, Katie watched the girl push a corpse aside, and then enter the building before Jake. Locking the door back up, Kate looked at Jake, and questioned. "I knew youd be alright..."
Jake smiled and nodded, patting Katie on the shoulder before putting his weapon away. As soon as he did, he was practically tackled with a hug from his little sister. "Jake! You're not dead!" she proclaimed. Jake chuckled and patted her head.
"Jeez, I don't fail that bad," he joked. Kaiah laughed and smiled up at her only surviving family before letting go and slapping the back of his shoulder. "I should've had more confidence in ya, bro. I've got to hand it to you, you're pretty reliable."
Jake scratched his chin thoughtfully, laughing as he did so. He glanced back at Katie and Amanda. "Alright, let's get something to eat and we'll work out some shift so each of us can get some sleep," he told them. Katie had been looking Amanda over to ensure she was alright while Kaiah had been making her way elsewhere in the store after the three women agreed with Jake's plan.
Jake watched the women disappear into the store to find food while he took the moment alone to sit back, leaning his body against a wall, holding onto his head. He had a throbbing headache that felt like a hammer being pounded on his skull. It had to have been the stress.
After a moment, he pulled a cigarette out of his jacket pocket, reaching into his pocket further to find a lighter. He lit the cigarette and took in a long drag, sighing and massaging the bridge of his nose.
He felt something warm and wet slip from his nostrils. He puffed out some smoke, pulling the cigarette out of his mouth and using his other hand to wipe whatever it was off. Upon examining his fingers, it had been blood.
"Ugh, f**kin' migraine..." he groaned, tilting his head back.
I've been so preoccupied with the girls that I've almost completely forgot about my problem... he thought to himself.
Amanda was the first one to go off on her own, taking out the magazine from her handgun and counting the bullets. Fifteen rounds, thats all she had remaining. She knew this shopping center wouldn't sell ammunition anywhere, and if it did, it would probably be all gone. She had to find something else she could use as a weapon, putting the magazine in her left pocket, and the handgun in her side pocket. Amanda had to keep it for emergency use only, an emergency being something that couldn't be taken down with anything less then a gun.
~~~
Katie climbed a set of stairs to the second floor of the shopper center, the food court was right around the bend. The main power was still on, but the stores around were all darkened out, and the only way you'd know whats inside is by reading the sign above its entrance way. She could see a few infected roaming around, but it didn't make her very nervous, as they were shuffling very slowly and didn't show any signs they were interested in her.
Seeing a Pepsi machine off to the side, Katie knew the inside could be accessible for drinks. But as for food, it could have to be something non-perishable, most of the food was already gone bad. Finding a large bag on the floor, she picked it up, and jumped the counter of a coffee shop, filling it up with an assortment of chips and candy bars. Wasn't exactly the healthiest diet, but they were going to ration it, and it had enough calories to give them a good amount of energy needed.
~~~
Amanda ventured into a small appliances store, taking out a little LED light from his vest pocket, and point it around the darkness. Grabbing a pack of AAA batteries, she pocketed them, giving her flashlight another months worth of power at most. Eying a heavy duty nail gun on a rack to the side, Amanda picked it up, and grabbed a battery back to the side for it. Ripping it open, she inserted it, and then turned it on. Aiming at the wall, she pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. Obviously, there was no nails, but there was a safety guard on the end to make sure it wasn't used for the intentions she had for it. Jamming it on the end of the counter, she used her heel to break it off, and pull the trigger again.
~~~
Katie carried the bag around the counter with one arm, hearing Kaiah climb the stairs to the left. Smiling, she yelled to her, holding up the back of goodies. "Hey, check this out..." But there was no response, just footsteps. Quickly laying the bag down and drawing her .45 toward the top of the steps, Katie heard the noise stop. Looking around to her right, and then to her left, she was now beginning to worry. Their was no more undead roaming around, they all just disappeared.
~~~
The nail guns power recoiled back in Amanda's arm, she knew this was a deadly weapon, with more then enough ammo with it. Grabbing a tool belt from the back shelf, she strapped it over her waist, and then loaded it up with as much nail reloaders as it would hold. She wasn't in the mood for counting, but she guessed there was at least 200 of them all together. Inserting one off the shelf into the bottom, she locked it in, and then strapped it to her side. Exploring the back wall with her flashlight even more, she found some piping, she was looking for the thickest. Grabbing an iron pipe angle pipe from the shelf, she tested its durability with her knee, it would be perfect.
~~~
Walking toward the stairs now, Katie looked down, but found nothing walking up. With a puzzled look, she turned around to go back to the bag, but found an infected tuning the corner toward her. Backing away, she breathed a gasp of air, and then pulled the trigger twice, one round hitting it in the chest, and the second in the face. "Sh*t sh*t sh*t!" Katie whispered to herself, looking away from the large pieces of the infected head on the ground. After now seeing the other infected stumbling from the stairway, she quickly grabbed the bag, and ran back around to the other stairway.
~~~
After hearing the gunshot, Amanda swung the flashlight around to the exit of the store, holding the pipe firming in her other hand. It sounded clear, but it wasn't fired from her side of the mall. Amanda moved to the store entrance, aiming her light around. Before she could make it out of the store, she heard the footsteps of someone running by the main floor. Quickly turning her flashlight off, Amanda silently moved out of the store, and saw Katie turning the corner back to the entrance plaza. She felt obligated to go back and check on her, but was more curious to know what she was running from. Amanda pocketed her flashlight in her breast pocket, and then held the pipe firmly with both hands now, moving through the mall to where Katie came from.
"Somewhere, da doot doo doo, beyond the sea, somewhere waiting for me, da doot doo doo, my lover stands on golden sands, and watches the ships, that go sailing,"
Kaiah hummed the perky tune as she gathered some supplies from a sports store she'd come across. She was reminiscing about her husband. He uses that specific song to get Kaiah to marry him. Sure things were rocky now, but happy thoughts had kept her alive. It cheered her up.
She picked up a few energy bars and some bottles of mineral water she's come across in the back, stock room. She carefully lifted the items and placed them in a box beneath her arm. She whistled the tune, strolling casually toward the store's entrance when she heard gunshots sounding off.
The woman gasped and dropped the box, whipping her gun out and making a run toward the mainhall.
Down below, Jake had been sending shots off at some infected that had came crashing through the glass doors. He winced and tried his damned near best to nail them all in the head, but his vision was so f**ked up he was seeing double of every zombie coming for him.
A group had even made it through windows elsewhere, stumbling and falling all over one another to get upstairs. He grunted and walked abck, taking potshots until his gun clicked empty. "Useless!" he yelled, kicking some boxes over sending them toppling over the horde.
It gave him enough time to start running for the staircase to find the others. "Kaiah! Katie! Amanda!" he yelled, holding his head as he nearly slipped on some blood that splattered on the steps.
Katie arrived a the mall entrance, only to see it swarming with infected now. At the moment, Amanda had also arrived, but was already up on the second floor looking down at the scene. "Katie, up here! Theres a door to the security room we can get inside, hurry!" Amanda swung open the door, holding it with her foot while she scanned around for Jake and Kaiah. Katie ran up to the second floor, seeing Jake and Kaiah far down on the other side of mall.
"Hey you guys! Down here!" By now, the infected were already coming up the escalators and stairs, the noises getting louder and louder. Amanda yelled to Katie, telling her to get inside and shell keep the door open for the other two. Katie ran inside with the big bag of supplise, moving quickly down the hallway. By the time Kaiah and Jake got the doorway, they had a small amount of time to close the door, and lock it shut.
Jake and Kaiah had neared the doorway, the undead hot on their trail. "f**k!" Jake yelled, grabbing his sister's shoulders and shoving her harshly into the room before diving in himself, crashing into a desk inside as Amanda slammed the door shut. As the undead pounded on the steel door, Kaiah winced and rubbed her arm, glaring at Jake.
"You could have just told me to run faster you jackass!"
Jake had been rubbing his head and groaning. "Ahh, bite me....ow...s***, what the hell are we gonna do now?" he asked, standing to his feet and leaning against the desk that Amanda and Katie used to barricade the door.
