Travis used the moment to kick Seth's feet from under neither him. As soon as Seth hit the ground he was on top of him. He quickly rolled him over and pinned his arms behind his back. "Seth I need you to fight it and tell me how the hell to remove this bug without killing you," he growled as he looked up to see if the commotion brought on more problems than he could deal with. He knew that this moment that Seth was free wouldn't last for long, so he wanted to get the best upper hand as possible. "Tell me man, for your girls sake fight him, and find the answer. The prick wanna be soldier has to know the answer," he said as he used the spear itself to help hold him down when it was needed. It took a bit before he realized that Seth wasn't going to be able to tell him.
"Sorry man," he said as he reached down and gripped the back of the bug tightly. He held his breath in more of hope that it wouldn't cause any damage. With one quick jerk he pulled the bug off of his back, and threw it clear across the room. Taking his hand gun he aimed it at the bug and the fired killing it. Standing back he held his gun trained on Seth hoping that he didn't screw anything up.
-----------------------------------
Art didn't know how long she had been out, but when she opened her eyes again she screamed out. Her chest was already hurting mostly from her heart pulling over time. She was sweating still from her bit of struggle earlier, but it was also getting hot. The concrete casket wasn't letting any heat out that her body was putting out. So the more heat her body put out the hotter it was getting in the casket, and the stuffer it was getting. Art couldn't hold it anymore and she started crying heavily as she started hitting the top of the casket again. She wanted out and she wanted the nightmares that haunted her in tight places to end.
She continued to cry until she started chocking and gasping slightly. Her hand drifted to her chest as she started wheezing. Knowing the more she struggled the more air she used up, and there wasn't much to begin with. She gasped heavily as she laid back and struggled to breath. Tears streaming down her face, as her hair soaked threw with her sweat. For once her mind drifting past the enclosed space to Seth sitting in the throne room. She couldn't remember everything, but bits and pieces and the remembrance of them making a comment of using a bug on Seth. An just before she passed out fear coursed threw her body as she realized she had lost the man she loved dearly.

"ARG!" Seth yelled out. He started screming in pain holding his back as deep purple blood came out of the puncture wounds. His head was hurting like half of it had just been ripped out of his scull. "SON OF A B*TCH! F*CK F*CK F*CK!" His eyes started tearing up as he curled up in the corner, his shirt becoming soaked in blood. As Travis began patching his back up he slowly gained his sences back seeing through the pain. With his vision back he soon discovered they were in some sort of dungeon.
"Where are we? How the h*ll did we get here? What happened? Is Art all right?" It was then that he remembered the screaming and some of the memories the comander had. "They buried her. Down here." He said struggling to stand up. He then looked around and saw what appeared to be a stone sewer grate in the floor. He held his ears again hearing the squeal. "I know what's going on now." He then pointed at the grate. "Sound. They are controlled using a high frequency sound wave. It would appear the main source is somewhere down below. He then looked at Travis.
"But first things first. You still have the tracker right? We have to find Art. If they buried her alive she doesn't have long. That is if sher hasn't gone into shock already. Shes scared of small spaces." He then saw that Travis was the only one with weapons now. "Give me a gun and lets go."

"Claustrophobic?" Travis questioned as he looked at Seth. "That's not good," he said as he handed Seth his gun. He pulled out the tracker and held it up to the light. "Good thing is she's not that far from us, down this corridor just a ways," he said as he lead Seth out of the cells. He carefully made his way down the hall keeping his back to the wall and watching out for any traps that may have been in their path. Granted getting to her wouldn't be the hard part, it would be getting her out of this place, and getting themselves out alive as well.
He stopped at the end of the hall, and looked into a rather large open room. Around the room was several mounds of dirt, but only a couple of them looked fresh. An only two of them had shovels by them. He looked back at Seth, and then back into the room. Stepping out into the open he was waiting for someone to attack, but there was nothing. "Okay, it's clear for now, but we need to figure out which of these two mounds your girls buried under," he said as walked up to one of the two with the shovel sticking out of it. He pulled the shovel out of the ground, and watched as several scarabs climbed out of the whole, and back in. "Not this one. It's a bugs mound," he said and pointed to the other mound. "That one," he said as he moved over to the mound and started digging.

Seth instantly swiped one of the shovels. Before digging he looked at the other pile with worry. "We have to hurry before those things wake up." Not wasting any time Seth began digging frantically stabbing the spade into the dirt and sending it flying over his shoulder violently. "ART! ART WE'RE HERE. STAY WITH ME!" It wasn't long before he began sweating from all the work. Seth himself was in shape but in no way strong. He never subjected himself to much physical labor. Seth was almost a half a foot down when the skin on his hands began breaking causing them to begin bleeding slightly sending waves of pain with each movement he made.
"ART, TALK TO ME!" He yelled out not realising he may be giving away their position. Just as the muscles in his arms began burning he felt the shovel hit something hard. Feverishly he began pushing the dirt aside with the shovel revealing a flat pannle of wood. "Got ya." He said with relief. Not wanting to injur Art, he readied the shovel before striking the corner three times after which a small section of the top splintered. Seeing the small opening, he wedged in the spadeof the shovel and using leverage managed to open it slightly as the wood whined. Tossing the shovel aside he jumped over the grave and grabbed hold of the lid and began pulling on it. After several cracks the top section broke open. Seth instantly looked in. "Art?"

Travis looked at Seth almost in aww as he prectically dug the whole himself. He didn't even have the shovel in hand until he was half way threw. Threw all of Seth's screaming he was becoming worried, not for the fact that their position could have been given away, but rather for the fact that Art had yet to reply to him. As Seth pulled the wood away he was finally able to see the unconcious being inside. Art looked as pale as a ghost, and her lips held a faint blueish tent to them. Instantly they became worried.
Kneeling down he felt Art's neck, and the chill that followed his touch. For it being so hot she was cold to the touch which wasn't good. She was sweating, and her dress pratically soaked threw. There were blood stains on parts of her dress, and from further inspection it was from where her hands beat at the wood. "She's already in shock. High level at that, but I do have a faint pulse and she is breathing how ever weakly," he explained. It was then that he helped pull Art out of the grave and lay her on the ground. She didn't move or show any signs of waking soon. "I'll keep watch," he said as he pulled his weapon to him, and stood by the door.

Seth pulled Art close as he began to clean all of the dirt and sand off of her. Lifting her head he began tapping her on the cheek. "C-mon babe, wake up." He said not caring that Travis' could hear everything was saying. Although his canteen was basically empty, he unscrewed it and held it up to her lips letting the last bit splash into her mouth. Art didn't wake up but she stirred in responce. Seth instantly stood up. "I need more water." He proclaimed looking around. Heading to the edge of the rooms platform there was a staircase leading down. At the bottom there was a small pool of water that had collected from a stalagmight up above. Seth nodded to himself. "Keep this position. I'm going to go wake Jay, then we finish this job once and for all." Practically running down the stairs not taking his own saftely to mind he made his way down to the lower level. Once on the ground floor Seth could hear something up above. He wasn't sure what it was but he needed to wake up Art and fast. Heading over to the pool of water he stepped in and walked out into the middle where it became waiste deep. He gentally lowered her down so that she was floating atop the current. He smiled when she stirred a bit more. Reaching over he cuped some of the water in his hands, then placed his fingers over her lips and let the water flow in. "I'm sorry about this Art. This is the last time I swear. From now on I'll follow your lead I promise. My adventuring days will end here I swear.

Art stirred in Seth's arms. She could feel the cool touch of the water against her skin. The savory cool feeling as the water alone slid down her throat with Seth's help. His voice sounding like music to her hears. Absently she reached up and gripped his shirt pulling herself closer to him. The feel of his arms around her was something she had never expected to feel again. Slowly she opened her eyes looking up at Seth with tears of her own. She held him as tightly as her body would let her, and rested her head against his chest. Art practically drew up into his arms as he held her against him.
She closed her eyes and she just rested in his arms. She didn't want to go anywhere or be anywhere else. All she wanted to do was savor what she had feared that she lost. "P- please," she spoke horsely and nearly at a whisper. Her throat hurt, her head hurt, and so did her entire body. It was from what she put it threw when they had first buried her. "Please . . . please stay with me," she nearly cried as she nearly curled up into a ball in his arms.

"SETH!!" Travis called out. Looking at him he saw a switch near the door as he kept holding onto Art. "Shut the door. They won't be able to get in." Nodding, Travis went over to the switch and pulled it. After the switch was pulled the stone door began lowered down as the room shuttered slightly. One the door was shut he looked up at Travis. Travis nodded as he went out of sight and began cleaning his weapons. Seth looked down at Art who was clinging to him. "I would never let anything happen to you you know that right." It was then that he realised that she was shivering. Breaking for a moment he removed his duster trench coat and draped it over her. As he did so He felt the ring on her left hand and looked down at it. "You know, I think it's time...for me to give this whole thing up. I'm not invincable, I need to realize that." Seth began tracing the ring with his finger. "After this, I'm getting out of the game for good. I didn't tell you this, I wanted to wait but I pulled some favors and we have a new home waiting for us next to the NADAS arctic labs only a few hours from your parents." He then held up Art's left hand. "I figure, it might be time to settle down, they're offering me a weapons research position at the lab. No travel required." He then held her hand with both of his and looked into her eyes. "I was thinking. Seeing as you have this nice ring now. Maybe you might want to wear it a little longer. You know...for me? Maybe I could find one to wear too and..." Seth started becoming nervous and fidgety. "And...we could get you a nice white dress. We could get some friends and family together for a little ceremony?" He then looked at her with hope and nervousness. "What do you think? Would that be okay?"

Art tilted her head slightly as she looked at Seth. Even though she was exhausted, and though she found it odd from as little as she had done. She still managed to smile. Looking at the ring that was on her finger and then to Seth she smiled even brighter. "Are you preposing to me?" she asked with a bit of curisity in her voice. Seeing his face turning red she laughed slightly. "I accept," she said lightly as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the lips. She smiled tiredly as she parted from him. Looking into his eyes she ran her hand down his cheek gently. "I don't expect you to give up what you love to do, and I never wanted you to give it up for me. I would follow you to the ends of the earth if you allowed me, but I would love to take on your last name," she said with a weak smile.
Closing her eyes she rested against him. Her body and her mind exhausted, most of it from being where she spent her time screaming. Even though she had passed out several times, and been out for a while she still felt drained. "I just want to be held by you, and not forgotten. Its so hard to pretend that it doesn't bother me, but when you are on your missions I feel as though I don't fit in anywhere," she said as tears streamed down her cheeks. "It's so hard to act strong when I'm scared to death, and just want to be held by you. I thought you wouldn't have come for me . . . I'm sorry . . . I was. . . I was just expecting you to finish your mission first . . . thank you for coming," she cried threw her tears. With a few more sobs she had drifted to sleep in his arms.
Travis stood from around the corner when he no longer heard Art talking. He looked down at Seth as he sat on the steps holding her to him. "I hate to interupt, but what do we do now?" he asked as he looked around the room. "We go out that door we'll be swarmed, and none of us can take down an army," he explained as he continued to look around the room. His eyes falling on the far side of the room. "But . . . we could always blow out a section of the roof creating an escape route. With them all occupied on this door that should give us enough time to be able to make some head way that way were not stuck in a corner," he explained as he looked back down at Seth. "Your call. You have more to lose here than I do," he said with a nod towards Art.

Seth picked up the sleeping Art into his arms and came out of the water. "We're going to finish this. Theres no way they'll let us leave. nor will we with the opposition but I now know there weakness." He then walked over to the side wall where there was what appeared to be a vent. "In an ant colony, the queen tells the workers what to do using smell. The entire time I've been here my ears have been ringing. When I linked with the anchient soldier I realised that there is a queen controlling the slaved citizens. It is down there, controlling them using hypersonic sounds." He then kicked in the vent and rested Art against the wall.
"We'll go down and set some charges. Once the queen is out of the picture all of the citizens should return to normal. Art should be safe here, the entire room is closed off. Once we destroy the queen we will shoot our way out. She should be awake by then." Raching into his side pouch he pulled ou a zip line and attached it to a nearby rock. After testing it he began lowering hiself down the shaft.
Once he had lowered himself down several stories, he reached the bottom where he was closed in by another stone vent. It was old so it didn't take much effort to bust it down and duck under it. Once out he was in awe of what he saw. The entire room was a decrotive shrine. In the middle laid a large mound which appeared to be a large larva. All around it's body were holes emmiting noises. Although it didn't seem to have any way to defend itself it was surrounded by large eggs. He turned to Travis.
"I'm no good with bombs. Give me your rifle and I'll keep you covered. Take the pistol back in case you get cornered." He then looked around the room. "I'm not sure whether you should work quickly or quietly and slow. I'll leave it up to your judgment."

Travis looked around the room as he took the gun back, and handed Seth his rifle. "I'll move quickly," he said as he headed over to the one of the pillers in the room. "Even though that room is secure, they still probably have access to 20th centery products," he explained as he started setting up on of the bombs. When he finished with the first one he moved to the second one. Setting the c-4 against the piller in four different places, and then placing an electronic device into it as well. Once he finished there he continued to move on from piller to piller, and once he finished with the pillers he started setting up the charges in various parts of the room as well. He was going to make sure that this creature couldn't crawl out of the whole or even survive it in the end.
--------------------------------------
Art jarred awake as a nightmare had managed to creep into her head. She looked around tiredly only to realize that Seth wasn't there, and instantly fear had over taken her. That was until she seen the zip line and the shaft that had been open. The room shook violently as dust and several stalagmight fell from the ceiling. She looked around for the cause only to see what looked like a cement door spider and crack. Art quickly stepped away from the wall as there was another explosion that shook the room again. This time the door busted out ward and rock slid down the stairs.
She quickly looked around for a place to run, and the only other place she could go was down the rope. Art ran to the shaft, and just before she could even grab the rope she was pulled of her feet. She started kicking and screaming, hitting the guard who had grabbed her, but even now her body was tired and exhausted and not up to par. He dropped her on the ground, and before Art even had the chance to turn and fight she felt the butt end of a rifle against the side of her head. She hit the ground hard as she gripped her head. Though instead of killing her one of the guards picked her up off the ground, wrapping his arm around her, and readied his weapon at the shaft as the others in the room.
------------------------------------
From down below the ceiling shook with both explosions, almost giving Travis a heart attack from believing that he had set off his own charges. He looked around the room before a scream echoed threw the shaft they had come from. "That's not good. We can limit the numbers if we can get up there long enough for me to set off the charge, and not be shot in the process," he explained as he looked at Seth. "What's the plan?"

"D@mn...sometimes I wonder if I'm the one who attracts trouble or if it's her." Going up to the zipline he attached two auto-climbers and through one of the cabels to Travis. "When you can't do something right, do something stupid." He said attaching his belt to the atuo-climber. "The way I figure it, only the slave units and the golemns know how to use current day technology. And since they're the ones who are after us, and since we're about to blow up the queen the slaves will return to normal once we blow that thing up taking care of MOST of whats waiting for us." He then grabbed the detonator and put the sand shield goggles over his eyes.
"As for the rest I figure we'll blind them with the sand that follows us up the shaft when the bombs go.." After checking to see if he was secue he readied his rifle and grabbed the detonator. "That's if the shaft doesnt cave in and crush us first." Before Travis could even object, Seht hit the button on the auto climber and they both began gliding up the shaft. Once halfway up he looked down. "Close your eyes bud!" He then pressed down on the detonators plunger. The entire foundatioon shook smacking them against the walls of the shaft and causing pieces to fall down. Almost immediately a giant wave of sand shot out from under them as Seth held his breath.
The two shot out of the shaft just as the sand came out to catch all the guards by supprise. Only seven were standing now with about fifteen laying on the ground holding thier heads in confusion. One was laying over Art. He didn't know what that meant but it did mean she was safe from gun fire. Since all innocents were down on the ground and he could barely see Seth opened fire at standing level not really even aiming but blanketing the area with bullets. When the gun went dry only two were left standing. One with a sword and the other had a spear. Suddenly the room shook again. The place was falling apart.

Travis nodded as they came out of the shaft. As Seth open fired he freely followed behind him. When all was clear it was anchient weapons against modren weapons. Travis kept his weapon trained on the last two. As the room shook more of the ceiling broke lose. One pice falling nearly ontop of Travis, and as he moved to get out of the way the one with the sword moved to intercept. He was quick to roll out of the way just as the sword came down at his feet. He climbed to his feet as the soldier with the sword turned to swing at him, though his attack quickly ending with three well placed bullets. Two to the chest and one to the head.
Art shifted slightly as the dust finally cleared. She was coughing heavily as was her head pounding. It wasn't like she really got a chance to let the first one go away, and it just kept adding to it. She rubbed her fore head as she pushed the man off of her, and climbed to her feet. Staggering slightly she looked around the room to the only man standing against three people. Though Art wouldn't have been much of a challange at the moment. Feeling the cool water against her bare feet she realized that the water to the room was rising. Which was odd, unless there was another source of water.
"Seth, I think this may have an undercurrent to an oasis or something of that sort," she called out as she looked around the room. "That means if were not careful this basment could flood pretty quickly," she explained as she continued to look around. Mostly in anticipation of what the man with the spear was planning on doing with three against one.

Seth raised his rifle to gun down the last soldier when a large stone column fell upon his target. The room continued to shake as the people who were once slaves regained consciousness and stood up confused. Seth quickly jumped up near a column and pointed at the door. "UP! GO UP AND OUT QUICKLY!" Though most could not understand there were two or three that did and quickly spread the word in the native language. As the confused hostages fled the scene Seth jumped down. Once back on the floor another rumble occured causing more rocks to fall.
"Careful or not this place is done for. We have to hurry." He then noticed that Art was barefoot and would not get far without proper footwear. Dropping the rifle he picked up two pistols and handed them to Art. "Remember Austrialia? How I tried teaching you to shoot bareback?" He then backed into Art, knelt down and wrapped his arms around her knees. Once she was secured he stood up with her riding piggy-back. "You'll have to fight for me." He then noticed as water sprang up from the large pool that was now forming. "C-mon Travis, you know what they say about the last one out." Saying that he made a dash for the exit making sure Art was prepared to move.
Once outside the exit he found himself in a long hallway leading to the grande staircase which went into the temple. Pillars and statues alligned the walls which towered overhead making him nervous. Not even taking time to check on Travis he broke out into a mad dash. It wasn't long before the crunching and crumbling followed them into this room as well. He then heard a loud crack up above as one of the pillars broke in two. "Sh*t!" As it started to fall down towards them Seth picked up his pace. Just as he felt his body reaching its limits he heard segmented columns from the pillar fall down behind his heels.

Art kept the pistols up ready to fire upon what ever danger would come their way, but the only danger was that off the falling building. She could hear Seth's heavy breathing knowing that with him carrying her it was taking more out of him than needed to be. Yet he seemed insistent on doing so, and for the fact if she was running in her bare feet. She kept hold of Seth tightly as he continued to run, not to mention she was in fear of their lives. That was all four of their lives. During that bit down below she had recalled something the king has said, a simple phrase that when she thought about it. She was pregnant, and when she thought about it she was almost terrified of what Seth would think. Not only that, she was scared for their lives.
She looked back just as the pillar separated them from Travis. He stopped for a moment and looked at them, before taking off in another direction. "Seth we lost your friend?" she said before looking around. The area started to seem more stable. She looked around as she raised the pistols again. She could see several guards at the exit, almost like they were waiting for them. Art just happened to look up as another pillar broke on top of them. There wasn't much time for them to move, so she did the only thing she could think of. She pushed Seth forward, and she jumped back wards as the pillar came down between them.
Art looked up and looked around at the guards that started to close in. "Seth, move," she shouted as she ran to the safety of what was left of the pillar. Until he was able to move out of the way she had to keep him covered. With the pistols he had given her she continued to fire upon the approaching guards. Many of which fell, but others continued to still come. It was almost like they were making way for something. "Seth . . . was the king controlled by a bug too?" she asked as she looked back to him.
