Emily held her gun steady in her hands, shrugging her shoulders a bit. Grinning a little she nodded ahead. "On second thought, you go right ahead. I'll cover the back end, that way if anything tries to eat us, you'll go first," she joked.
It was probably inappropriate to kid around like that, but if she didn't, she'd probably lose her mind in this whole ordeal. That being said, Emily pressed on, falling back behind Louis asthey entered the train.
Upon reaching the inside, they had noticed a few more bodies lying around sparingly. Oddly, they hadn't reanimated, but it seemslike decompostion had beaten them at their own game. Carefully stepping over the bodies, she heard a groan.
Shespun around and aimed the barrel of her gun at whatever caused the sound. Fortunately, there wasn't anything in sight. The mono-esque groan sounded once more, reveling itself to be one of the corpses lying on the ground. It's body was so decayed, it's limbs and arms were practically non-existent. It's ribs had been exposed along with it's eye sockets.
""That smell...ugh...Oh God..." she murmured, wrinkling her nose. Frowning, she looked among the other corpses to see a few ofthem were still alive, though they were practically immobile.

Louis wouldve laughed loudly at the joke, but it would give away their position. Besides, the silence was epic, nothing but their footsteps. This meant if anything tried to get the best of them, they would hear it. Emily covered her mouth after hearing the groan, as Louis turned to see the infected on the ground. They were all nearly starving to death, good for them they didnt have an strength to be a threat.
But after they moved past the first car center, they were getting so weak that even the moaning could barely be heard well. Then suddonly, Louis felt a jerk on his leg, instinctivly kicking and pushing one of the infected back against the wall from the ground. He aimed his .45 back around the train interior, the ones here may be unable to score a meal, but there would definitly be others further in. And being inside a narrow passage wasnt the ideal place to be.

Emily kept up with Louis, looking around at the corpses lying on the ground. Sighing, she curb stomped one, crushing it's soft head. The smell only got worse. Coughing and gagging into one hand, she pinched her nose closed and stomped on another head. "Better safe than sorry," she mumbled.
As they walked along, she had noticed something that was being held inside of one of the unmoving corpse's hand. She knelt down by it and pried it from it's hands, seeing it was a black box.
As she opened it,she hadn't noticed the body twitch. Inside the box was a diamond ring. It must've been for a special girl. Too bad for him she was prolly just as dead as he was.
Emily sighed and closed the box. As she did, the body rose from behind her, grasping onto her shoulders and stretching it's mouth open wide. "Gah!" she shouted, elbowing it inthe stomach. That didn't do too much seeing as how it was still trying to bite her.
Another body from beneath the seats pulled itself into view, grabbing ahold of her leg and trying to gnaw on her foot. Luckily she had bulky boots on, otherwise it'dprolly have chewed through.
"f**k! Get off!" she yelled again, slamming her left hand into it's neck from over her shoulder and shoving it back. She then used her other foot to squash the other's head in.

Louis was about to open up the door to the next car, but then turned and noticed Emily holding the box. He grinned, seeing the ring, but was a bit sad at the same time. In that same moment, he noticed the undead behind her. Before he could say anything, another one reached out below. Emily easily killed the lower one, and then pushed back the one that was behind her. As soon as she left contact, Louis aimed through the sights of his .45 and shot it in the chest. He wouldnt went for the head, but with little time to react, the center of mass was the easiest to hit.
The .45 round hit it hard, knocking it back a few steps, and tripping it to the ground with the momentum from the push. Taking this opportunity, Louis turned around, and pulled across the siding door to the next car. "Come on!" He held the door open for Emily, and then quickly shut it as soon as she was through. Turning around, he held the gun with both hands, looking around the car.

"Damn, that was reckless of me.." she said, brushing some chunks of skin off of her shoulders. Her then wandered over to Louis as she gave him another nod. "Thanks," she told him, walking ahead, making sure nothing suprised her this time...
As they investigated the cart, Emily's mind wandered again. She was starting to wonder if Rick and Julie were alright. She was wondering ifthey had been in any trouble her and Louis had seen so far. That's when she remembered Rey. Looking over at Louis she coughed.
"So, why doesn't that kid, Rey, like you? Sorry to seem nosey, but I'm quite curious. Since you, you know, underwent that man's orders to protect his friend."

Louis and Emily both moved through the car, these didnt seem to be any infected on this one. He knew that he couldnt make any stupid excuses, there was a time and place for everything. He placed both of his hands behind his head, and stretched his shoulders, still facing away from her. "Well... Its not that she doesnt like me, she just doesnt trust me. Its complicated, good kid, but she can see through me... Lets leave it at that..."
Louis thought about it, she had every reason not to trust him. He didnt have many friends, and the ones that were always ended up leaving in the end. He was used to it, in a time like this, you dont go looking for friends. Turning back to Emily, Louis dropped his arms to his from, hold the gun loosely. "...And he wasnt ordering me to do it, I owe him a favor. Rey is... Joeys daughter, he just wanted me to make sure she was safe. Thats all..."
Opening up his coat, Louis dug around his wallet pocket, searching for something hes been meaning to have another look at. He looked up, still feeling around. "I wanna give you something..." Finally grabbing onto the item in the coat, he zippered the pocket back up. Pulling out a photograph of a girl not much older then Rey, he stared at it for a second, and then passed it over to Emily. "Shes been looking for this girl ever since the outbreak started... If you ever find her, Im sure Rey would be more then greatful..."
Sure, Louis was answering questions, but he just kept opening up more of them. There was more then one reason he was tagging along with this group, and by now he was sure Emily was the right choice. He still had his own agenda to work out, and he couldnt afford to miss that flight. But if its one thing Louis had learnt over time, its that things always worked out in the end. He expected more questions now from Emily, but time was cut short when he heard the banging on the previous car door. "We should keep moving... You lead, I got your back..."

Emily walked ahead of Louis, looking down at the photo. "Who is she? I can't just match a photo to a face. I need a name atleast," Emily told him, putting the photo away and reaching for the next cart door.
Upon entering she had noticed a slimy, filmy, substance attatched to the walls, stretching from the floor to the ceiling. There were a few bodies meshed into it aswell. Looking toher right, astounded, she onticed large, larva-like eggs hanging infront of their way out of the train.
"What the hell...?"

Louis walked forward, but something else caught his eye. "Look out!" He pulled Emily back, and closed the door, hearing a pelt onto the steel shutter over the window. He didnt know what those things were, but they were ready to attack them. It wasnt anything hed seen before, even since the last outbreak. But then, he noticed the slimy substince making its way under the door panels. Louis and Emily both back away from the door quickly, aiming their guns at the clear, water like gel. But there was something else in it, creatures of some kind. They sort of resembled...
"Are those Leeches?!" Before there was a response, the door was pounded on, and bent in the center. Whatever was on the other side was breaking though effortlessly. Then suddonly, the door split off, hitting the ground with a thud as a human like creature emerged from the liquid. Thinking quickly, Louis pulled out his knife, and ran towards it, swinging at its shoulder. With a good swipe, he had cut its arm off, but it was too simple. Bringing the knife back up, he sliced up the creatures face, then finished the combo with a stab in the back. Its arm lifted from the ground, and knocked Louis into the next car.

Emily watched Louis' failed tactics and suddenly realized that their weapons were practically useless. Looking around, she noticed some planks of wood that were attatched to the wall with bus regulations stuck to it. Maybe a melee weapon would work better...
She reach over and started pulling on one of the loose boards, until finally tearing it off. The leech-like man started trudging after her, lashing it's arm out and knocking her back.
Emily flew backwards, smacking her back against the back end of the train, sticking her to the sticky goo. The board was lying on the ground infront of her now. Squirming around, Emily tried freeing herself but failed miserably. The leech monster sttatched his arm around her body, leeches easing off it's body and wiggling themselves over her. The woman's eyes widened a little as she held her breath so she could keep her mouth shut tight.
She could feel a tingly, slimy feeling crawling all over her.
f**k f**k f**k f**k f**k!

Louis momentum, along with the whip of the creatures arm, he was rolled into the other car. But recovering almost instantly, he jumped up, and ran back into the car. Seeing the leechman corner Emily, and all the watery like leeches nearly cover he, Louis had to act fast. It was obvious that he would go down by shooting it, the knife wouldve done something, but he just re-grew its arm in a flash. Then, seeing a fire extinguished on the wall to his right, he had an idea.
Ripping it off the wall, Louis launched it into the air as far as he could throw it, and knocked the leechman in the head. The fire extinguisher was sucked into its body, with just a little but sticking out. Louis aimed his .45 forward, and then fired of two rounds into the canister with quick succession. As the car burst out in a white spray, Louis covered his face, and ran forward, tackling the leechman to the ground. The watery substance covering started to freeze over, forming a thin, breakable crust. The leechman wasnt able to shift into liquid because of the freeze compund in the extinguisher. Holding it down, Louis shouted. "Get out of here!"

Emily coughed as she felt the leeches seize to move. She glared a little and shifted around. "Yeah, sure, Louis. I'll just break away from the glue-like crap on the wall. Gimme a sec," she grumbled sarcastically as she pulled herself forward. She grunted a little as she continued pulling until finally she ripped away from her hoodie, falling on her knees with a loud thud.
"Ah! Dammit..." she groaned, standing to her feet and running back toward Louis. Again, the rifle was latched onto the wall now with her torn hoodie this time. Grumbling she picked up the fallen board and began bashing the thing from behind, sending bits and pieces of the leech man crumbling down.

As Emily freed herself, Louis rolled off of the creature, and then jumped to his feet near the broken door. Emily had already started attacking the thing with something larger then his knife, and it seemed to work better. Of course, it could barely even move from the freezing agent. The train isle wasnt big enough for the both of them to attack it, but Emily seemed to be handling it well. Louis ripped the rifle away from the wall, and then took aim as far back as he could. Once he had a clear shot, he fired a round into the creatures head. "Scum..."
The impact had a large bearing on wether it would fall or not, and judging from the shot, it seemed to be working. But to surprise, it still moved without its head. After it was hit with another four swings, Louis had another shot, and fired at the things lower abdominal. It broke in two, landing on the floor and melting away. But the bottem half still walked forward. However, something different happened, it expanded largely. Emily gave it another good swinging, knocking it away from them, and then Louis shot one last round into it. The creature exploded into gel all over the train windows, aswell as on themselves.
"...Ugh... What the hell is this stuff doing?" For the most part, the liquid melted off of them, and then dissolved onto the floor. As for the number of things Louis had come across, this was on the top of his list of strange encounters. He was glad the things was dead, but passing the rifle forward to Emily, he looked into to the next car, and saw the eggs all over it. It was covering the door, and made it impassable. Unless they had something that would catch fire. On another note, their was an emergency hatch beside the window, they would be able to climb onto the roof, and probably crawl to another hatch.

Emily's eyes directed themselves over to the window hatch. Nodding, she went first. "Way ahead of you," she told Louis, unlatching it and looking around to ensure safety. It was clear. The officer stuckher head out of the window, and then grabbed the sides of the walls, stomping her foot against the sill. She pushed herself up and out the window, reaching for the ladder that rested attatched to the outside of the train.
As she climbed up, she pulled herself onto the roof and looked around, seeing some leeches had been slivering around up there. Nothing they had to worry too much about, hopefully.
"Alright Louis. It's clear, c'mon," she ordered.

Louis listened carfully through the doorway, as the infected still tried to get through. But, the sliding doors proved impossible for anything to get through with simple force. But on the other hand, the eggs in the other room were starting to creep him out. As Emily got through with little trouble, she called the clear sign for Louis. "Right..." He put his foot through the opening, and then bot arms on the top panel, using it as a grip to pull himself through. Once he was outside, he pulled himself stomach first onto the rooftop, there was only about two feet of room, so they would have to crawl across.
Staying behind Emily, he kept his attenton off to the side windows. He almost assumed they would smash open at anytime, and the leeches would get through. But his question was, was that creature earlier made from only the leeches? Or was there something else inside of it? Regardless, the both of them contenued along the rooftop. As they crawled to the end of the car, there was a gap between them and the next. "I think we should be able to get down through there, and open the door..."

Emily looked down the gap and sighed. It was small enough for only one of them to get through, so of course that meant Emily could aqueeze through. She looked back at Louis. "Then you should probably crawl back over to the other cart. I'll jump down here and unlock the two cart doors."
With that said, Emily managed, with difficulty, to turn herself completely around and drop down, holding onto the egde of the cart as she did so. Upon landing on her feet, her boot heels made a loud clacking sound, notifying an undead nearby that she was around.
The woman dusted herself off and turned around, to see the walking dead shuffling toward her. Whipping out her .45, she took quick aim and planted a bullet between it's eyes. The corpse fell back, dead. For sure.
She surveyed the cart, seeing that that was possibly the only zombie in there. There weren't any leeches or webbing. Nothing for that matter. It was completely spic and span. As odd as it was, Emily counted her blessings to see somewhere actually normal for a change.
As she pressed on, she had found the door tracing to the cart door before the egg latched one. Simply unlocking it, she went through into the next cart. Still clean, save for a few scattered newspapers and a few school bags/briefcases thrown about. The officer continued on to the door with the eggs on the other side. She unlocked it, pulled it open, to find slimy leech eggs infesting the ground. It seemed as if they'd hatched recently.
"Ugh," she groaned, stomping the heel of her boot on them. Looking about, she waited patiently for Louis' return. As she had done so, she couldn't help but wonder why the last two carts were so clean. The more she thought about it, the more she had come to realize that maybe, that one zombie had been a pedestrian whom escaped the past four infected carts, managing to lock them away and stay safe in the remaining areas.
It was sad really. The poor man still ended up infected and then was put to rest by a .45 round to the brain. "I hope Rick and Julie are alright," she mutered sadly.
