By the time Louis had gottem back down, he looking insde the cart, and saw that the leeches had hatched. All that remained was the gel liek substance that covered the seats and windows, and still locking the door into place. Louis ventured into the previous car once again, looking around at the stained carpet. How that thing was able to just desintigrate away puzzled him, it meant that they could get into anywhere. Through a keyhole, even, it seemed to shapeshift like water.
After pondering the thought, Louis heard the sound of metal grate on the next car. As he walked slowely into the room, the door which had been covered by that stuff, as now open, and Emily was standing in the doorway. He looked at her, walking through the sickly coated car toward the doorway. "Emily, its great having someone your size around... Lets get g-" Suddonly, Louis' words were cut off as he jerked to the side. The trains wheels shifted, dropped from the breaking position. Gripping the wall, he moved into the next car with Emily, peering out the window to try and see what was going on from the outside.
Then the train started to move slowely, bumping once again as it shifted gears. Moving through the cars, Louis jumped onto a seat, trying to get a look at the front of the train, but it was just out of his veiw. Indirectly, he spoke loudly. "Whos controlling the train?!" Reaching for the door, he was annoyed when it wouldnt open. Plus, these were sliding doors, its not like he could shoot anything to force it open. Louis kept his stance wide, as the train began to pick up speed. However, it was going a bit slower then it normally would carrying passengers. Regardless, someone was driving this thing, and they had to find out who.
Looking at the door to the next car, Louis kicked the lower panel in anger. It was bar locked with a key, they had to find it if they wanted to get passed. Looking face through open car door, he knew that crossing over would be a bit of a risk, now that the train was moving. This was was a travil train, but judging by the lockwork on the frame, it was over-latched. But they couldnt unhook the cars yet, there was something that needed to be done first. "We have to check the bodys in the past cars. One of them must have the key for this door on them, and theres bound to be more aswell..."
Different employees would have different keys on them, depending on which section they worked in. This door was most likely locked because the rest of the cars are for train workers only, its the only thing that made sense. One of his "Jobs" took him on a train, "Working" in these back sections, and he knew they must be nearly halfway through the entire train by now. But whoever started this mustve been on the other side already, Emily and Louis would probably meet up with them sometime or another.

Emily gritted her teeth together, sharply as she felt the rumbling turbulance of the train. Someone was screwing around with them or if they were lucky, maybe someone was just helping their escape further...
"Louis, I'm gonna check the first cart. You check the second. I'll set off a round if I find something or if something happens. Same to you, got it?"
With that, Emily wandered off to the first cart.

Louis nodded to Emily, and then followed her as far as the second car, dangerously leaping across the open gap as the tracks moved under them. Once she moved back into the first car, the door swung closed as the train took a bit of a turn. This created a big slam, and put Louis on his toes. He began to search the bodys for anything that might be on them, it would make sense that the passengers wouldnt have anything useful on them, but the difference in appearence was pretty much eaten away. Seeing an employee sitting in a seat with his back arched, Louis moved toward him, but the train shifted once again. This knocked the body forward, and he saw a silverish rusty key fall to the floor. He grumbled to himself. "Sone of a..."
Getting onto his hands and knees, Louis looked under the seat ahead of him, but was forced to move onto his chest to reach the key. Moving his arm forward, he slipped his finger around the ring, and then pulled it into his hand. At the same time, he could feel footsteps to the side of him, as he quickly pulled himself out. "I managed to find a key... Theres no name on it, but if we try th-" Seeing an infected reach for him, Louis backed away quietly, and gripped the key in his fist. Lunging his arm and body toward the undead, he heard its neck snap upon impact, and it fell to the floor.
Louis quickly moved to the newest car, and drove the key into the hole. But it wouldnt turn, not because of the rust, but because it was the wrong key. "Dammit..." He spoke to himself. He sat down in one of the seats, and began to chip away at the rust on the tag with his knife, to see if he could make out a name. But the letters had faded away from age. Shaking his head, Louis placed it back into his front pocket, and then waited for Emily to return...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fifteen Minuts Earlier
Upon entering the train, Richard eased himself into the drivers control seat. His old bones were getting tired from the hike down the tracks, but now he hoped this train would actually run. Switching the emergency controles on, he flicked the many switched, until finally the train unlocked the breaks. Then it began to start up, his face grew into a smile for himself. But, the speed of the train didnt increase, and there was a red flashing warning on the terminal. Maximum Weight Exceded Something was weighing the train down, he had to find out what it was if they wanted to get anywhere.
Emily walked into the first cart, upon entering the door slammed shut. Spinning around, she grabbed ahold of the handle and tried pushing it open, but to no avail. She sighed and turned back around, looking over the corpses. Some of them seemed to have been missing...
Examining her surroundings she had also took notice that the door was wide open and wasn't going to close anytime soon. She grinned a little at the possibility of the zombies idiotically shuffling out towards the door in hopes of finding food. After a few small laughs, she went over the corpses in hopes of finding an employee with some keys.
It was hard to tell since their clothing was damned near gone, ripped into shreds. Suddenly she heard a large thud on the top of a cart. It wasn't hers, but possibly the one Louis was in. She ran towards the door and pressed her ear against it.
Up above the second cart roof, sharp indentions suddenly appeared through the roof. Louis stumbled back a little, looking up cautiously, gun ready. Then there were the sounds of shuffling and clicking from above before finally a little bit away from where Louis was now positioned, claws ripped through the ceiling as if it were nothing. A medium sized hole was created and the monster's ugly face was shown slightly.
From what could be made out, it's eyes were either overlapped or nonexistent beneath an exposed, slimy, pink and bloody brain. It's large mouth almost grimacing with big, jagged, sharp teeth that parted slightly to release it's long, piercing tongue.
Sniffing out it's prey, it made an eerie gasp, drool slipping through it's mouth and dropping in through the hole.
Back in the first cart, Emily could make out the noises, familiar with that monster she had encountered before she had met the others. Louis was no match for it alone and neither was she, but...
"Life for a life," she grumbled, lifting up her handgun and setting off four rounds. The monster was about to crawl through until it heard loud shots, stunning it and causing it's tongue to scrunch up. After the ringing stopped, it screeched and crawled away from the second cart, in hopes of catching whatever made those noises.
"Louis! Can you open the door from your side?! It's jammed! Ugh!"
Louis heard and saw the claw marks dig into second car roof, and attempt to skore a hole through to his position. In a matter of seconds, the creature ripped through, and stucks its head down through the hole, waving its tongue back and fourth. Louis moved back out of the way, he wasnt able to get a clear shot until it moved down onto the floor. But before he could wait, there was a succession of gunshots coming from Emilys car, and the creatures moved back up onto the roof. In the moment, he could hear her yelling through the door, but could barely make her out of the noise. However, the door seemed to be jammed, and he had forced to get it open quickly.
"Back up!" Louis yelled as he kicked in the upper panel. Only these coaches them easily removed, for emergency exit into this car. By now, he could hear the creature above him, and moving toward the adjacent room. Giving another kick, the panel broke free, as he pushed it to the floor. Jumping onto the seat beside him, Louis hung one arm from the railings near the top, and then held out his land over the broken panel gap. "Youll have to climb through, I got you if you move forward!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Richard aimed his handgun forward through the outside grid circuit front, moving his sights around the corner of the car to make sure he had the upper hand on anything that might pop out. Along the railing, he heard a number of gunshots, 45s were fired further down the rain. Moving to the end of the car past the railing, he undid the bar lock and opened the door, which lead him into the storage car. Moving around, he made sure there wasnt anything inside before resting himself up against a shelf. "So, looking like im not the only one on this train..."

Emily pushed herself through the opened panel, reaching her hand out towards Louis. That loud screech stabbbed at her ears, forcing her to look back over her shoulder. That thing had found the open door now. It pulled itself in, slashing at everything in it's path. It hadn't noticed her yet. She looked back out at Louis, reaching farther towards him.
She wouldn't be able to reach him at this rate. She groaned and pulled back in, grabbing the rifle and taking aim. She pointed the barrel at it's exposed brain, pulling the trigger and sending a slug through it's brain. It hissed loudly, clawing around and trying to get to her. She tried letting off another round, but it only jammed into it's chest. This stunned it again, so she ran over and tackled it through the opened door.
"Okay, bought some time..." she said, running back to the panel and reached out again. As she did, the claws ofthe monster reached back in, pulling itself back into the cart, blood gushing out the wounds it had. "f**k."
Finally she grasped his hand, feelingherself get pulled through the panel and onto the other side of the cart. She sat there, trying to catch a breat before looking down at what latched the two carts together. She grinned through her panting and unattatched the first cart from the second cart, speeding away from the isolated car that inhabited the inside out freak.
She pressed her head and back up against the cart door, looking up at Louis. "Took you long enough," she joked.

Louis pulled Emily through the doorway, and then dropped back down onto the floor. But the time he had his gun ready to shoot the creature when it got through, Emily had unltached the train car, send the large peice of abandoned metal crashing into the monster. Louis breathed heavily after this, and lowered his gun, watching the mess unfold onto the tracks that moved away from. It was long gone now, but there was still a problem they had to solve. The key that he found wasnt for the right door, thats why they moved back to the cars in the first place. He ginned at Emilys joke, and then responded with a bit of arrogance to her little joke. "Heh, so I take it you dont have the key..."
Louis didnt wait for a response. He went into a serious face, then turned back and moved into the next car to see if he could get past the door some other way. Emily couldnt be blamed, it was a quick decision, but they still had no key for the door. This meant he would have to find another way through it. Checking out the frame of the door, it wouldnt be possible to kick the panel in like he did before, this door was secured for a reason because it lead toward the front. Moving back onto the roof would be way too risky, no, more like impossible. It was hard to manuver while the train was still, and what would happen if they hit a bump? He leaned against the door, thinking of a solution.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Richard sifted through the shelves, scouting the back for anything he could get his hands on that would be useful. But it wasnt like there was any ammunition or weapons on the train, and everything would belong to a passenger. The most he would be able to find is medical supplise, and even then, wether they were useful or not was the question. After coming to this conclusion, Richard moved for the door, and then opened it up with the same bar lock as the previous door. The next car seemed to be the gear cabin, this is where they could slow down the train in an emergency. Richard aimed his gun around, but the place was clear, as he moved for the next door.
Emily walked behind Louis and shook her head a little. "I checked the bodies. They didn't have anything on them. So it wasn't in that cart, obviously,"she explained. As she walked ahead, she could hear some noises from the cart ahead of them. Lifting up her .45, she nodded towards Louis and then the door.
"Somethings on the otherside of this door...If we're lucky it'll bust the door open for us," she said, pushing away from it and standing back. If she hadn't lost her crowbar, she'd have already been using it as a key to every locked door she came across.
As they stood around, contemplating what to do, she had started to think about how the others were doing. As much as she hated ot admit it, she was worried. To the point where her stomach felt sick.
"I wonder if Rick is alright..."
Richard made his was through the gear cabin, looking around at all of the levers around. There was also a bathroom, or so it looked like. But he knew there wouldnt be anything useful inside of it. He moved to the next cart door, and undid the bar lock, making a loud noise inside the car. Placing his hand on the door, he opened it up, pushed through into the next room with his sidearm drawn forward.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just then the door had opened up, as both Emily and Louis aimed the guns toward the open doorway. In clear sight was the last thing he expected to see, an older looking man, alive and didnt appear to be wounded in any way. Quickly moving his gun down, Louis spoke out in a stern voice. "So your the one who started the train... We have to stop it, now!"
Richard lowered his gun and answered back, looking at the man who had passed by him, and the female holding a rifle on his back. Examining it closer, he was astonished at what he seen, but kept it to himself for the time being. "Vet. Richard Doucette... Why do we need to stop the train?"

Emily stepped up a little. "Because we're going the opposite direction of where our allies are headed. That and there's a possibility of a crash if the tracks aren't set correctly," she explained, walking forward to follow Louis into the next cart. She stopped when she heard the man's last name.
"Wait a moment. You said your last name was Doucette? I know a man named Joey Doucette, sorta, I've only known him for a few minutes before he rushed us and his daughter out of his home. You related to him, by chance?"

Richard listened to the womans explaination for wanted to stop the train, and it was as good as any. If these two had friends in the area, even he himself would want this train stopped. But what she said afterwards made him think hard. His eyes grew wider, but as he was about to respond to the woman, the train shifted, and he was sent holding onto the wall...
Louis jammed on the breaks using both right and left levers in the car, and not long after he had applied them, the train came to a complete stop. As he heard Emily and the man Richard talking, Louis rushed back in the room. "So you mean... Your Joeys father?! Thats... Thats..."
"Thats my rifle, missy..." Richard exclaimed, point to the womans backside. It was obvious that these two knew his son Joey, the other man being particular when he spoke. But the thing that caught his attention was thr fact that there was a little girl involved in all of this. "Joeys... Daughter, you say? My my, time sure had passed..."
Louis listened to the both of them talk, what are the odds a reunion like this would take place at now? But he saw this as an opportunity. This was the father of a proud son, and the grandfather of a daughter that needed taken care of. Louis couldnt babysit any longer, there was still business that needed to be taken care of. However, he would had until an approprite time to make up his mind. When everyone was together. "Now that we got the train stopped, he should get back onto the tracks. It shouldnt be too long before the others find us..."

Emily smiled kindly at the elderly man, taking the rifle from over her shoulder and handing it to him. "Here. I've no further use for it. You should have it back, Mr. Doucette." As the officer handed the man his rifle back, she looked toward Louis, face serious once again.
"You're right, we need to catch up with the others. Rick and Rey are waiting for us. Unless...you had some other plans? You seem to be in quite the rush," she said, analyzing his hurried behavior.

"Thank you..." Richard took the rifle, along with the ammunition for it from the young lady. Its been a long long time since he held onto the gun, but it seemed only like yesterday. Unfortunately, it would weigh him down, but at least it would get some use if they needed to do some long range shooting. Slinging it across his back, it wouldnt be in the way, and the only thing that held him back some was the weight. Richard turned back to the other man Louis, but he was already moving out of the train with the woman Emily.
Louis moved out of the train with Emily, waiting for Richard to follow them. He may have been an old man, but anyone who could manuver Raccoon City alone was capable of handling themselves. Plus, just looking at the assault rifle on his shoulder gave him a secured look. Moving along the tracks, they came to the end of they tunnel, and then saw the other tracks. "We should split up, you take the other tunnel, while Richard and I find the route out of the city limits..."

Emily looked over at Louis suspiciously. "Wait, I know I'm experienced and bad ass and all, but what happened to letting the ass-kicker go with the lady? Jeez, have some damn courtesy," she said, laughing a little. Though inside she was beginning to feel a little distrust in Louis at this point.
Sighing, she walked ahead, keeping her gun and flashlight up as she cautiously took a few steps into the other tunnel. There was something going on that she wasn't quite right about. Suddenly she was beginning to get the feeling that she was putting herself into a place where she didn't belong.
Sighing, she walked ahead, scanning what she could with the beam of light that emitted from the dim flashlight. That's when it started to flicker on and off until finally it was off. It must've been low on batteries...
"Great," she moaned, reaching around into her pack on her waist. She had some spare batteries but was so dark in the tunnel it was hard to locate them. Even then it'd be a little challenge changing the old baterries out,blindly.
After a short while, she had the flashlight back on, it's beam brighter than it was before. She counted her blessings that the tunnel was safe...so far. What sucked was it was f**king cold and her hoodie was still attatched to the sticky wall in the train.
"Best. Day. Ever."

Louis didnt like just taking off, but it was for the better. All he was here for was to make sure Rey was safe, and now that Richard was aware that he has a Grandaughter to look after, he could be sure Joeys promise would be fufiled. On top of that, once eveything at the house blows over, they would be able to head back to the house. A reunion Louis would have to miss, but Joey would understand he had his own agenda. Turning to Richard, he spoke, striking a conversation. "Cute kid, Rey is... Shes your grandaughter. Your aware of that, sir?"
Richard looked at Louis, Joey knew how to pick his friends. Rey, her name was? Thats who that girl Emily was gone to search for down the tunnel. They all mustve been in a group at one point, and now theyre meeting up again. But this Louis character, something didnt feel right about him. Richard was sure that if he was a friend of Joeys, he could be trusted. But there was something that didnt connect with him, he was indeed in a rush. Looking at the man, he spoke. "Mmmm...Yes. Now what about you? Will you be coming back with us?"
Louis shook his head. He hated to speed things, but leaving while he was alone would be the better idea. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the two handgun magazines, and passed them over to Richard. "Here, give these to Rey, shell need them more then me. I... I cant go with you, I have something I have to do." Richard looked back down the tunnel, and then took the magazines from Louis. There was always a reason, and this mans counted just as much as any other mans.
"...And just when things were getting started, right? Heh, ill be seeing your son in the future, Richard. You can guarentee that..." Louis left the area, and then climbed up the bank up to higher ground from the tracks. Rey would be fine, Joey didnt have to worry about that, and now neither did himself. But. Louis wasnt exactly proud of what he did, leaving like this. But he wasnt ashamed of it, either.
