If you’re thinking “Yeahehe, I’ll be safe down here where none of the zombies are”, then you’re wrong. Consider the event of the outbreak starting here, maybe then you’ll reconsider the horrors that linger the dark and smelly waters of Raccoon City’s sewers.

Cyril dropped down from the last few rungs of the ladder, having found his way down here from outside the Stadium. The smell was something he wasn't going to get used to, that much he could already tell. The flickering lights weren't much, but it was more than he had been expecting. He scanned the immediate area with his penlight, pistol held at the ready. Everything seemed quiet, but Cyril knew better than to believe that anywhere. He could hear the water running, and occassionally saw unrecognizable lumps appear in the murky liquid. Otherwise, there was no movement. Cyril went through his mental map of the city. The Water Treatment Plant... he hadn't tried there yet. Maybe he could find a few... surprises there. Cyril's search was far from done, and he was willing to go wherever necessary. Cyril started off in the direction of the plant.

Amy and Ari were now in the sewers they had come from the RCPD's sewer passage, they didn't know what to expect, but at least there wouldn't be mobs of zombies, Ari was more suited for being a guardian, being more battle ready for individuals/small groups of threats, rather than hundreds of hungry zombies. They would be safer here hopefully, The two didn't have a flashlight or anything sadly, Amy was practically blind in the sewers too, she couldn't see well without large amounts of light, Amy would use Ari as her guide dog, who unlike Amy had exceptional vision in the dark, and even without vision had great hearing, smell, and other ways of seeing around. There wasn't anything in the immediate area that was a threat against them, at the moment they had no map or anything, this would be a issue, but they did know where the flow of water went, this would lead them toward the water treatment plant, and thus toward the east side of Raccoon City, Amy wasn't choosing anything she was just following Ari's planned decisions, Ari would bring the two toward the Water treatment plant, hopefully they wouldn't crash into anything unexpected or dangerous. Sadly though they had gotten mixed up with the chemical plant and the water treatment, Amy wasn't able to read that well in the dark and had seen on the map nearby to the manhole Water Treatment, but instead it was the Chemical Plant which was in the east, so as they followed the water they would be going to the water treatment, but going a different direction from the Airport and east Raccoon district.

Cyril had been moving cautiously, turning at almost every sound. So far, nothing had made itself known other than a few stray rats. He was careful to avoid them, seeing as he learned that it was the rats that started this entire mess...
Well, the rats and a mad scientist. What a team...
Cyril turned the corner and stopped dead in his tracks, instantly flicking off the penlight. He had seen it, rather them, briefly in the light. Two shapes on the path that he needed to walk down. They were both living or undead, he couldn't tell. But they didn't look like anything Cyril had encountered before. He held his ground. They were slow, which was a good thing for him. Cyril kept an eye on the two dark figures as best he could all the while quietly putting the gun away and drawing out his blade.

Ari heard the sound of what seemed to be a click, along with the sheathing of a gun and the drawing of a blade, Ari's hearing, smell, and other senses were beyond those of a normal canine and could sense things such as these even when at some distance. Someone else was here, at least it wasn't a zombie, but still humans were usually more dangerous than zombies if they were hostile, Ari let out a low growl to alert Amy of this. The only noises heard now were the slow, but quiet footsteps of a human, the noise of the water, and the little pitter patter of rat feet.
"What is it Ari, something is coming our way?" She looked at Ari's stance over time Amy had learned everything about Ari, she had been with the dog almost 24/7 for a couple of years, beyond that she had her fathers entire database upon the project, from the stance she was taking and the growl it meant something else was nearby, but it was a larger threat, not just the everyday zombie, it would be possibly a human or a dangerous B.O.W. this was usually what it meant when Ari went in that position. Amy began to stand still and listen, she heard it now the stepping of feet, shoes? Was it a person, Amy couldn't be sure, if it was a person she/he would respond with maybe a hello, unless they were harmful, if it was a B.O.W. it would respond with coming toward them and attacking. Amy decided to risk it, hopefully Ari would be able to dispatch whatever if it were harmful.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Amy said in a clear and soft voice, hopefully she wouldn't be leading anything new as she did so, she hoped whatever was walking was human and non-hostile. Amy began to listen again, she had no armed weapons at the moment, the S.W.A.T. team members from the RCPD had taken her handgun, at least she had her trusty canine companion. Amy could feel secure with Ari, but if it was a man with guns Ari would be fine, but Amy wouldn't and Ari would probably risk her life to protect Amy, she hoped it wasn't a hostile human if it was Amy and Ari's lives would be endangered. It was funny, Amy was more terrified about humans attacking her rather than B.O.W.'s, she thought "I guess it's because humans in truth can be the most horrible things in existance, afterall they made all the monsters we see now, it's because of them that all these horrors existed, the human imagination thought up so many evil and horrid things, it's no wonder that h*ll had broken loose on Earth".

Cyril's stanced loosened. He was taken aback by the sound of the voice. Not so much that it was a voice, but moreso by how young it sounded. There came a grown with the voice that made him uneasy, but Cyril reached into his pocket and pulled out his lighter. Illuminating himself rather than them may be a better option to at least show he wasn't infected. With a few clicks, the green lighter let loose a small flame. Cyril adjusted it to be as big as possible (which really wasn't so big), sending off a faint orange glow that flickered shadows over his face.
"Hello?" he called back, keeping his grip on the blade. He was so sure that it was smart to make his presence known, but the other had done so first. So far he'd managed to find a human in the past few places he'd been; maybe this one wouldn't be quite as arrogant as the last...

Someone's voice responded! Well it wasn't a B.O.W. or Zombie, but it was a human, from the sound of it a young man? He had revealed himself with the flicker of what seemed like a low flame or such, to reveal himself meant he was showing where he was, possibly to show he wasn't hostile, Amy wondered though why a man would be in the sewers... well she couldn't exactly say anything, why would a little girl be in the sewers, he was probably going through the sewers for the same reason, avoiding mobs of zombies. Amy soon enough kept walking using Ari to guide her toward the person, Ari could at the moment pin point his location through sound and scent along with excellent night vision, she could see everything and thus could see the knife within his grasp. Ari soon enough once the two were around 20 feet away from him began to growl and bark and took the stance of when there was a threat or weapon in the vicinity. Amy noticed this and reacted with similar results.
"My dog says you have a dangerous weapon within your grip, why are you approaching us with armament?" Amy said in a semi-hostile way, but keeping her voice calm as she said so. Ari would attack if he tried anything funny, Ari could see everything as clear as if in a bright room, there was a handgun within a holster as well, Ari wasn't going to let anyone harm Amy, she had been half awake before and had held back, but if he even dared as to aim a weapon at them or such, Ari would eliminate the threat. Amy watched the man's vague sillouette in the darkness, she was basically blind in the dark due to her albinism type, but she could see a vague sillouette, the man seemed young and not too muscular or fat, she couldn't be sure, but he looked like a civilian, there weren't any big guns or such that a swat member or soldier would have.
"Who are you?" Amy asked curiously, she began to leave her offensive stance and began to pet Ari to inform her to not be too edgy, "Don't try anything funny or you'll regret it, I advise you to place your weapon down or in your bag or something." Amy said in a commanding, but soft way, she was informing that they weren't going to harm him, and that removing his weapon was more just to have the meeting less aggresive and more polite. Afterall talking to someone while holding a weapon wasn't the best way to meet someone new.

Taking orders from a kid wasn't something most would do, but considering that growl that sounded like a dog of some sort would be enough to change most minds; Cyril wasn't one to search for trouble. Cyril twirled his blade into the backhanded position before putting it into his back pocket (where a hole was already made from the blade being there so much in the first place).
"I'm armed because, if you haven't noticed, the world isn't exactly safe... Same reason you're with your dog, I take it? The name's Cyril Lefevre," he called out, letting the flame of his lighter die out with a click. "And you?"

A man hole cover opens and Zanza begins to make his way down one of the ladders. When Zanza reached the bottom of the ladder he pulled out his shotgun knowing that the enclosed spaces of the sewer tunnels wouldn't give him enough room to use his sword or bow very well. He cocked the lever putting a shell in the chamber he began to head down the tunnel back towards where he had stashed his few meager supplies but he heard voices coming from the tunnel down the same way.
"Should I approach them", Zanza was talking hardly above a whisper. He knew he didn't have much of a choice that way was the same way all of his supplies were stashed. Zanza sighed and began to head down the tunnel, at least from the lack of gunfire he could assume these people were friendly. Zanza kept his shotgun pointed towards the ground but kept both hands on it just to prevent any unwelcome "surprises".

"My name is best classified" Amy said in a rush of word, but kept it calm, sort of like that of a trained secretary. Soon enough though Ari began to bark, she could sense someone else was in the area, someone had jumped down and Ari could smell them, and hear them as if they were right next to her. Ari had no problem scenting anyone, she knew right where the man was, she listened intently and could hear the sound of a cocked shotgun, he was armed and could pose a threat to the unarmed girl named Amy. Ari her canine guardian would stop the armed man if he attempted any harm upon the girl.
Amy soon enough listened to Ari's bark, someone else was here. "What's wrong girl?" Amy said in a calm, but concerned voice someone else had come, Maybe Amy should ask who had come in case it was another non-hostile person? "Hello, anyone there?" Amy said in a clear, calm voice. The young teen soon enough felt as if she would never get a moment of rest.

Great, just what we need. Seems like someone else is down here. Maybe...
Cyril pulled out his pistol and aimed it the way he came from, penlight on once more barely being able to scan the dark passage. He kept still, trying to listen over that dog's barking. Rats, water, dog... He thought he had heard what sounded like a shotgun pumped, but it didn't seem to register until now. People were crazy these days, that much Cyril knew. But if this had been the person he was looking for, this may just have been his lucky day. Cyril smirked inwardly at the thought, but kept focused; really, it could be anyone.
Cyril waited, and didn't hear anything. He backed up towards the girl and her dog, assuming that if the dog was going to attack him, it would have done so by now. If not he was probably screwed. Cyril kept his gun trained in front of him.

Zanza heard the dog barking and stopped in his tracks. Zanza began to pull the gun up to fire but stopped when he heard the voice of a young girl. She was asking who he was Zanza was about to answer when a small light came on in the passageway ahead of him. Zanza could see the glint of metal and assumed it was a gun. Either they were trying to trick him or they were just as suspicious as he was. Zanza pressed his body as close to the wall as he could finding a small crevice in the wall and sliding into it.
"Yes there is someone here. If you intend no harm then you can expect the same from me", Zanza was speaking quite loudly as to be heard but trying not to sound intimidating at the same time. It didn't seem to be working though Zanza's voice sounded angry even to himself. Zanza crouched down with his shotgun at the ready just in case this turned out not to be some young girl.

"Talk is cheap nowadays," Cyril called out, not moving from his position. "Show yourself." Cyril, with that said, allowed his gun to drop to the ground with a loud clatter. In the same instant, he withdrew his blade and crouched slightly. Whether he was going to attack or dodge should this guy come around the corner, Cyril didn't know. But he hoped his reflexes were as good as he thought.
That's not him. Not his voice... It's going to take forever to find him...
Cyril blocked the thoughts; this wasn't quite the time. He looked over his shoulder briefly at the girl and finally caught sight of her dog. She looked well-protected with the dog, but he wasn't sure how well it would hold up to gunfire. If she could just get a running start should things get ugly.
But will they get ugly, Lefevre? Not everything is like that time.
Cyril winced slightly, wishing now that these thoughts would wait until the immediate threat was over. He forced them out of his head, re-focusing on the hallway.

Zanza heard the something clatter to the ground he assumed it was the gun. Could it be a setup or was this meant to show that they meant no harm. Zanza was unsure, but if hostilities were to be initiated he wasn't going to be the one to do it. Zanza placed the shotgun on the ground and slid it to where he had seen the light before.
"I'm coming out", Zanza came out from the crevice where he had been hiding he kept his hand on the hilt of his sword ready to draw and defend himself at a moment's notice. He kept his bow on his back for he knew it would not be of much use in close quarters.
"Show yourselves", Zanza could only see about a meter in front of him which would be just enough room to draw and defend if that is what it came down to. Zanza was hoping that these people weren't hostile cause he didn't feel the need to shed any human blood today.

Cyril hated these cat and mouse games... Time and time again it had happened. Most recently in the Stadium, though he was actually assaulted there. Cyril also knew that they were going to stay at this stand-still until one of them was brave enough to step into the line of sight of the other, or something else decided to interfere. Just like at the Stadium.
Crows... But considering what could be down here, crows suddenly don't seem so bad...
Cyril looked back at the girl. If this was gonna get bad, he was at least going to give her a chance to get out. He took a short breath, and held his large hunting knife at the ready. Without saying anything, Cyril stepped around the corner directly in the line of sight of whoever it was.
