Just as Ander predicted the the troops ahead came to a stop, and fanned out a bit. Dedric stepped up to get a look. They stood on the top of a short ridge and below them laid a small village carved our of the forest. Several huts made up the outter ring but a few reinforced buildings stood in the middle contrasting the ones around them, and looking very out of place.
[red]"We can safely assume Forester will be in one of the buildings. The huts are possibly used as shelter for the soldiers. Question now is, how do we go about this? Any ideas Commander?"[/red]
As they planned he signaled the troops to take cover and stay out of view. Dedric then began double checking his weapons making sure everything was clean, loaded, and that his ammo was easily accessible. It had been a while since he was in combat, and honestly he was starting to feel a bit excited.

Calhoun took his canteen and took a deep drink from it before he spoke.
"First, how about we make for certain that this is our target..." he replied. "No need to make ourselves known to nothing more than a bunch of locals, trying to etch out a living, waste our ammo killing them, only to allow our enemies, who may be in the next village know that we are coming a knocking."
He took a pair of binoculars from one of the troopers and looked and scanned the village before him. It seemed to him to be just a bunch of men and women, doing normal, everyday villager stuff...if such activities existed.
"Not seeing anything overtly suspicious..." Calhoun said dryly, still looking through the scope.

Dedric watched the small village beginning to think that Calhoun was right. Until a woman was thrown out of a hut. Then stepping out the door she was tossed out came a man in a red bandana holding an AK-47, he was obviously angry, yelling at her as she lay on the ground in tears. Other armed men came buzzing out of the buildings like moths to a flame. A young man pushed his way through the crowd, and and punched the man who was yelling, obviously in the defense of the woman. It didn't end well after that for the young one, he was snatched up by two more armed men, and they held him until the man in red recovered from the punch. He proceeded to pull a blade from his belt and brutally inserted it into the younger man's upper abdomen, he then repeated this until the boy was dead. They dropped the lifeless body to the ground and the mob began to laugh and wonder deeper into the village causing issues for all the villagers. The beaten woman was left in the street holding the body of the boy sobbing profusely.
[red]"Looks like this is our place afterall Commander."[/red] Dedric drew a circle in the air with his fist, the brush where the final wave troopers hid rustled just slightly. He then pointed his hand at the village, the troopers responded seconds later and began approaching under as much cover as possible. [red]"Wir bewegen."[/red] Let's Move, he said in german.
Silently the troops began moving down the hillside until they came just to the outskirts of the village large rusted, empty fuel barrels blocked them from sight of anyone within. The troops awaited their next order. Dedric spoke with a whisper. [red]"Anyone with a weapon gets put down. Push to the center complex. Watch each other's backs. Go."[/red] The final wave troopers spun out from around the cans and moved into the village. The beaten woman saw them coming and started to scream until one of the troopers shushed her, her yell caught in her throat now. This happened with a few other villagers but they caught on quickly and stayed quiet. The troopers snaked in and out of huts eliminating any militants not paying attention. Once in a few layers the troopers began engaging small groups of soldiers, expertly putting them down one by one. However now the gunfire drew the attention of other armed men around the village.
Dedric saw this as his and the Commander's oppurtunity to move in. The german drew his long barrel pistol and strolled into the village his long trench billowing around his legs. A lone combatant charged him from around a building and was about to raise a rifle when he almost ran his race into the leveled barrel of the Captain's pistol. Brain matter splattered the nearby hut as Dedric continued into the village.

Calhoun moved along with Dedric, as the German easily stopped an incoming soldier. Calhoun had his side arm raised, a .45 Beretta semiautomatic. As the two moved towards the village, they were caught off guard by another of the combatants, one who had decided to lay flat against one of the many trees until they had moved right beside him. The man reached out, grabbing Calhoun and took him down to the forest floor. Blade in hand, the soldier attempted to stab Calhoun in the throat. **************************************************
Ander chuckled, watching on from the safety of the Broken Union. The soldiers moved with style and grace in the village, killing the enemy soldiers in the area....soon they will come to the base camp of his enemy. **************************************************
Calhoun struggled on the ground with the man, keeping the blade from his throat with his left hand as his right drew his KABAR from it's sheath. In a fluid motion, Calhoun drove the large blade into the throat of the soldier. A spray of blood hit Calhoun in the face as he threw the man off of him.
"See if we have anymore waiting in the bull rushes." he said briskly, as he got back to his feet. "Then see if we can get something out of one of the survivors."

Dedric walked along with Calhoun as they searched bodies for a surviving person. The village was beginning to smell of death and a few fires had started in random spots. They drew closer to their team of troopers and it seemed that things had quieted down for the moment. Dedric started checking huts and was mainly finding weak feeble looking villagers.
He stepped in a final hut and found a young boy setting in a corner. He looked scared, his eyes the size of half dollar coins. But it was obvious the german was of no concern to him when those large eyes snapped from him to a sagging spot in the floor. Dedric snatched at the reed woven flooring and ripped it up to reveal a soldier hiding in a small hole. Before the man had time to react Dedric pistol whipped him over the head to disorient him and cut back on any resistance he may have put up.
Emerging now from the hut the Captain brought with him his newly found prey. He then tossed him onto the dirt of the jungle floor. [red]"I believe my American friend here has some words he'd like to share with you."[/red] Spoke with a deep intimidating german voice. Dedric then stepped out of the way to allow the Commander to do his thing.

Calhoun looked at the cowering mass before him. The man was not worthy of being a soldier, the gear, the weapons he wielded, all seemed to be designed for intimidation purposes.
"Now...." Calhoun said, as he took a knee to the ground next to the man. "tell me if you will, who are you men, who do you represent, and why are you in this village?"
The man spoke rapidly in one of the local dialects. Calhoun shook his head, as he brought his knife up to the man's throat.
"English! Do you speak English!" he snarled.
The man, who was now whimpering before the angered American, shook his head sullenly.
"Translator? Dedric? Troopers?" he asked, turning to the men. The Final Wave Troopers, grinning wildly, shook their heads slowly, affirming what Calhoun already believed, these men did not speak any form of the local languages.

Dedric looked down the bridge of his nose at the pathetic excuse for a warrior from behind his raised collar. It nearly made him sick, this is not the way a soldier acts. When Calhoun addressed him to see if he could translate he waited for the troopers to respond first. Their slightly psychotic side showed through just a bit from behind their almost hiena-like grins.
[red]"Not here. I guess the poor bastard is out of luck. Kill him he is useless to us."[/red] His last comment was both truthful if the guy didn't speak english, and a prod to hopefully push the man into their playing field.
The man on his knees trembled and started making a noise. "Oh-kay! Oh-kay! I speak! I cannot tell you anything though. He will kill me." The words came out quick and heavily laden with foreign tongue that accented every syllable.
[red]"Oh it does speak."[/red] Said Dedric raising his eyebrows and looking at Calhoun pretending to be surprised. It was a classic technique, the German actually thought it comical that the bluff still worked around the world.

"Alright..." Calhoun said, as he gripped the man's hand and removed his combat knife. "Then the fingers first."
"What?" the man asked, dazed.
"Well, if you do not tell me what I want to know, I will start cutting off appendages...starting with your pinkie finger..." he said softly, as he quickly sliced off the small finger on the man's right hand. The man howled in pain as Calhoun continued to strongly grip his hand. *******************************************
"Ah...some fire in the man at last." Ander grinned, watching on from the airship's control room. "I nearly thought him a ghost, going through the motions, pretending to be alive in this world gone soft." ******************************************
"Now...who do you work for." Calhoun said calmly.
The man screamed hysterically, reaching with his free hand towards one of the Final Wave Troopers for mercy. The soldier grinned on, with his sick, twisted smile, as he drew his knife and started to drive it into the man's hand.
"Deadric! Restrain the troops, please!" Calhoun barked quickly, as he brought the blade back up to the man's hand.
"Who....do...you....work...for?" he asked again, bringing the blade up to the ring finger.
"Oh god." the man muttered. "Ohgodohgodohgodohgod....some old guy....he hired us to act as guards...."
"And?"
"He...he is working at a small base up ahead....about two clicks..." the man continued.
"And what is waiting for us there?"
"Please..."
Calhoun sliced the ring finger off cleanly, causing fresh screams to erupt from the man.
"I...I don't know!" he screamed. "We only patrol the outskirts! Oh GOD! The base is creepy....all sorts of screams!"
"Really? Well..." Calhoun said as he placed the knife back into it's sheath. "IF that is all you know..." he reached for his side arm.

Trenton watched eagerly from behind his scope. While protection of the facility was his original objective the collection of the 'bug' had taken priorty over everything. 'Facility is compromised, we'll have to be picked up in the jungle' Trenton thought to himself, 'But first...' Trenton set his sights for the captured militiamens abdomen.
"Second team, continue with the mission. Third team head to the second extraction point and secure it. First team on me, we're going to disrupt this new force, by the interior some time." Trenton wispered through his microphone. As the two teams set off to their objectives the rain started to fall.
"Now, let's take care of the narc." Trenton said and he opened fire, his team joining in with their own silenced rifles. When his clip ran dry Trenton threw it in a high arc away from himself. 'Perfect' he though to himself as the native fell onto what was left of his back. "Stall the OPFOR" Trenton shouted as he switched to his PDW. His men circling the base in loosely planned routes...

"What!" Calhoun shouted, as the man died suddenly at his feet. More gunfire, this time not from the Final Wave Troopers. The soldiers immediately began to take cover around him, readying their weapons once again. That was one plus to these soldiers, they knew how to think in combat situations, they had that instinct. Everything else...
The Final Wave Troopers began to open fire towards where the shots had come from. He shook his head as they ripped up the forest before them with a hail of gunfire.
"Hold fire!" Calhoun ordered the men. "Hold your fire!"
The Final Wave Soldiers stopped shooting as they turned and looked at Calhoun.
"Keep in cover, move up." he hissed to them, as he followed suit with the orders he had just given.

Trenton smiled to himself. "They've backed off the main buildings, begin locking them down." he wispered through his microphone. "And doctor, whatever you have that they want, I suggest either destroying or releasing. Those reinforced doors won't hold for long, and I'm not going to compromise my mission by fighting all of those men." Trenton watched the men dart in and out of cover, always watching the forest and always waiting to add their own flash to any they might see in the dark jungle.
The rain had started to pour, it's thick white sheets making it a little hard to stand. The men had been trained well enough but hiding in the bushes while the rain and wind made it almost impossible to stand was a feat to be admired even amongst enemies. "If spotted open fire, all others hold til my command." Trenton said, no longer wispering. The rain saw to it that even shouts would be difficult to hear, thankfully the earbuds and throat microphones cut the background noise out.
Trenton switched his microphone to "Outside Frequency" and started his message. "You are trespassing on private property. And as such, you are no longer free to leave. Please throw down your weapons and step away from them. You have thirty seconds to comply." Trentons voice echoed throughout the facilty grounds.

Ander chuckled as he listened into the radio broadcasts coming in through the monitors. As he did so, he picked up his receiver and began to speak to the soldiers under his command.
"Prime your guns and whet your blades, my fury now will be dealt in spades!" he shouted into the radio. ***********************************************************************
Calhoun listened to the broadcast coming from the facility and shook his head. Trespassing on a dead company's land? Preposterous. Then Ander's call came through the line, igniting the Final Wave Troopers into a frenzy.
"We'll strike them fast, before night fades and bring them down, we, the cursed brigade!" they answered in unison. These fanatically loyal soldiers prepped themselves as Calhoun took point in front of his troops. *************************************************************
Ander began to laugh and chortle as the soldiers moved into position around the door to the facility. He clenched the leather of his seat as he watched on in utter joy.
"Revenge, my friend...." he chuckled. "May you remember the day, the day that changed our lives forever!"
As Ander looked on with utter glee, the General AI studied the movements of the soldiers in the field, compounding the data for the use with the Final Wave Tyrants. The more battles the human soldiers fought in, all in the name of this mad man's revenge, the more data that it could collect to better the Final Wave Project's real soldiers. ******************************************************************
"Good sir," Calhoun replied to the man inside of the base. "I regret to inform you that we have no intention of surrender....your commander is our prize, your boss' blood will be shed tonight."

Trentons laugh echoed through the facility. "The good doctor you say? Not some trivial piece of information, or some new viral weaponry?" he said still laughing slightly. "I'd hand him over myself, trusting you would leave at that but, and I'm sorry to say this, my hands and the hands of the men inside that facilty, are tied in this matter." Trenton wasn't sure what to make of this new development. His orders, and the orders of all the men there, were to defend the information and property of Umbrella Inc. as far as personel went, everyone was expendable.
Trenton switched his radio back to his team frequency. "Team 2, I want a status report on that fruit. Team 3, report back in once you've reached out evac site. Team 1, we're going to take the rear entrance. I'm not suited for this jungle terrain and this jungle weather at the same time." Trenton said as he began walking north of the facility.
The rear entrance wasn't far, but it was easily defensible. Being nothing more than a long concrete hallway with nothing but the occasional pallet or forklift for cover made it a deathtrap for anyone entering or leaving under fire, but it was the primary evacuation route should anything happen in the facility. 'I wonder why they'd do that?' Trenton thought to himself with a smile. 'Oh yes, the virus protocol; in case of a viral leak, all personel are to load into the hallway and be shot down by security forces, who will wait for the automatic self destruct to kick in.' Why shoot the scientist but leave the soldiers? The idea was that the soldiers wouldn't be smart enough to override the locks and escape and as such they were told they would be evacuated and treated but the scientist themselves would be too exposed to be saved. Another way Tricell/Umbrella cleaned up it messes.

"Then you leave us no choice." Calhoun replied, as he motioned to one of the Final Wave Troopers. The soldier acknowledged and moved closer.
"Take aim with your RPG." he ordered. "Your target is the door....blast it open."
"Shock and awe," the soldier chuckled, as he readied the Soviet era launcher. The smiling lunatic aimed the launcher at the large, metal doors of the facility before them. The rocket swirled forward, slamming into the door, denting it badly.
"Again." Calhoun ordered.
"Only two shots left." the soldier remarked, as he loaded and prepared to fire once again. The second shot fired, hitting the door once again, con-caving the door even more.
"Again!" **************************************************************************
"I am so proud...." Ander said, watching the assault. "Pass or fail for these me...I am enjoying this ever so much! The fire, the blood shed, the unquestioning hate....I love it all so much." He took a moment to look at the facility that was currently being blasted it. It was small, unnoticeable from the air, but that was how these people operated, wasn't it, Doctor? **************************************************************************
The Final Wave soldiers all giggled and chuckled and awaited for the doors to be blown apart as their comrade readied his launcher for his final volley.

Trenton has his first team had already gotten inside and regrouped with the main security detail when the first rocket hit. 'Bastards don't have much patience.' he thought to himself. "I want someone in that hallway with a shaped charge. They want the door open, then they're gonna find it's a pull, not a push." Trenton ordered, "I want two fireteams up there, I want that hallway bottled off and everyone evacuated to the lower levels, A third team needs to set up shop at the rear entrance. Shoot anything that tries to get through the back bay doors, ours or not. All others assist in the evactuation and start bottling the stairs and elevator entrances. My team, change to second frequency, continue the mission and if you don't hear back from me by the time you reach the evac point, leave." By the time Trenton had finished shouting orders the second rocket had struck the doors.
The explosives 'expert' Umbrella had hired was little more than a teenager who'd experimented a bit in high school. He was certainly skilled, but not very experienced, so it came as no suprise that he had to do the wiring at gunpoint from his own guys. "Set up six pounds and shape it outward. Do it and you get to go downstairs." the soldier assured him. The explosive itself was simple, C4 with a remote detonator shaped to blow the outer doors outward. If the doors were in good shape, they'd need a second and third bomb to blow the hinges first, but the rocket had caused so much damage the the buckling had done most of the work for him. They charge was just about set when the second rocket exploded. Making everyone jump. "We're good, get downstairs." The team leader ordered as he stepped behind cover. "Fire!" He shouted as he detonated the explosives, stepped out from behind his cover and joined his men in the rain of bullets flying outside...
