The corpse that had fallen off the web began to shift around until finally it made it's way back on it's feet. It shuffled about before sniffing Anna out. It couldn't quite find her due to the darkness of the room. So it shuffled into the hall and inevitably began to moan hungrily.
Anna's eyes snapped open, did she fall asleep?! She groaned and felt her stomach knot up. Before she knew it she was leaning over and vomitting onto the cold floor. She felt sick to her stomach. Her head was spinning and her arms was throbbing.
That's when she heard a familiar voice.
"God dammit!"
She reeled herself back and quickly glanced over at the open door. That voice! It sounded like...
"R-Richard!" she called, trying to stand to her feet. She failed and fell back onto her hands and knees. Maybe she was just hearing things...
"s***! Zombie! GET AWAY!"
Anna's heart sped up faster. She winced and began crawling towards the door. When she got to the light she reached her hand out, her face had fear plastered all over it.
"RICHARD!....HOLD.....ON! I'M...I'M COMING!"

Arc ran inside of a room, and then closed the door. It would hold for who knows how long, but he didnt need much time. As he searched the shelves, he came across a pile of herbs, Green, Red, and Blue ones. He knew that certain mixtures had different effects, it was a raw kind of medicine he had practised in South America. Grabbing a few handfuls of each, he shoved them inside of his pouch, and then buttoned it up. As he turned around, the door bursed down, and then he kicked them back. As there was an opening, Arc ran through, but was caught in between them, forcing him to fire.
Arc popped off three steady rounds, taking down the three zombies in a matter of ten seconds. But as another one came up from behind him, he felt it collapse on top of him, pressing him into the floor. The zombie clawed at his backside, but the padding protected it from scratching through to his skin. He elbowed the monster in the face, knocking it beside him as he rose to his feet. Grabbing a chair from the side of the room, Arc rushed back over, and crashed it down upon the undead mans head as he tried to get back up. Then as he picked up a peice of the chair leg, he beat its head in a few times, until it lay motionless.

Anna crawled out of the doorway and grabbed onto the archway. She pushed herself up and winced, looking ahead at the back of someone's head. His hair was messy and ear-length...he was wearing an old S.T.A.R.S. Jacket as well.
'Th-that's him' she thought. With that she held onto her stomach and limped over to him, a weak smile on her face. "Richard, thank God...I-I've searched everywhere for you and I...I'm so glad to see you again..." she told him, her cheeks reddening as she reached her hand out to touch his shoulder.
She ignored the panging aches in her body long enough to touch his shoulder, but as she did, the man spun around slowly and Anna's face twisted with mixed emotions...Shocked, disappointed,and terrified....
Standing before her wasn't Richard, it was one of those damn zombies! It's decaying cheeks were sunk in with disgusting, flaking,opened sores. It's teeth were jagged and crooked, rotting as well. It groaned and lunged at Anna, knocking her back onto the cold tiled floor.
"N-NO! Ungh! G-Get off...ah! You bastard! S-SOMEONE! H-HELP!" she screamed, keeping it's head back by holding down on it's neck. She was weakening and every now and then it'd get an inch closer. She knew if she wasn't severly injured she'd have already plastered this zombie's face in, but now there wasn't a thing she could do.
A few tears trickled down her cheeks mixing with the soot and sweat. It can't end like this! I have to find him!! I have to protect...Protect my family!

While Arc was beating the corpse, he could hear the loud call of Anna, but wasnt exactly sure what she was saying. But even just hearing the words, he knew that she was in need of help. He gave the zombie one last smash in the head, and then darted out of the room, leaving the bit of wood still embedded into the corpses skull. As he got out of the room, he saw a number of undead blocking the path, complicating things. He knew that Anna was just around the corner, but he couldnt get through them, at least not without using up ammunition. Arc looked behind him, and saw that the area was clear down the other hallway. He darted across, and then went around the other corner. There was the option of going back around, but by then it might be too late...

Anna's legs went numb and her grip began to loosen.
It was getting harder to stay conscious now. This wasn't the first time Anna had been so helpless.
A young redheaded woman wrestled with one of those undead mutts. It had apparnetly sniffed out the other officer's wound and followed after them as Richard had gone off to look for any kind of first aid kit in City Hall. The young woman, a young Anna, felt the dog's claws dig into her abdoman and thighs, piercing through her. "AHHH!!" she screamed, feeling her skin tear. She couldn't take it anymore and finally she managed to grab it's snout tightly and snap the dog's neck.
It's body went limp, leaving it's lean, furless, bloody body ontop of Anna. Her uniform was covered in it's blood. Anna panted and pushed the dog's corpse off of herself and managed to get up. She winced and held onto herself before quickly throwing off the messy uniform top. She was afraid of being infected by it's blood...Luckily underneath her uniform shirt was a white tank top, though now it had rips and tears at the stomach. Her own blood staining. She gripped onto herself and crawled up the steps, entering City Hall now. She made it half way in before collapsing at the entrance.
"ANNA!" called Richard and Mark's voice. She groaned and slipped into an unconscious state. "..."
This was almost the exact same predicament...except Richard had saved her life that time...Fourteen years ago. Anna struggled with the zombie before finally her arms were beginning to lose their strength. It was only a matter of time before she would pass out and probably die if Arc didn't find a serum or blue herb...
"Help me...someone...." she drew up enough strength to scream again. "SOMEONE HELP ME!!!"
[Okay no one step in! I'm expecting someone to bring his lazy ass in and take over....]

[Richard Holden has entered the second floor]
Richard Holden braced the door leading to the main hall with a desk nearby. He figured if anyone alive wanted to get through the door, they could open it a little and unjam the desk. On the other hand, if a zombie tried to open it, they'd be outta luck. Of course this is if what he was planning worked; his original plan didn't work to well.
All he was doing here was trying to get some equipment and small arms. Maybe find a leftover gun, some handcuffs, ammo, anything. Richard figured he'd have the upper hand searching through here, being as he'd been in the place before, but the remodeled nature of the place put a damper on his plans. Now that he'd avoided some of the undead that attacked when he had arrived, it was about time he left.
"SOMEONE HELP ME!!!"
"God dammit!" Richard grabbed his shotgun off the ground and ran out of the small room into a hallway. Somehow in his flight from the monstrosities chasing him, he had made it upstairs. The voice screaming was nearby, just around the corner...
A zombie was atop some poor survivor. He couldn't risk hitting them with a shot from the shotgun, plus it was distracted so...
SMACK! Richard smacked the bastard off of the woman with his shotgun. It rolled over, moaned, and tried to get up. Mr. Holden introduced it's face to the butt of boomstick. With a nasty crack against the hard floor, the gray matter and blood from inside the brain seeped out.
Richard looked up and down the hall to make sure nothing was getting the jump on him while he was busy. In the clear, nothing coming.
"Alright, we're doing good, come on, get up," Richard said, helping the woman up.

Anna let out a gasp, clutching her stomach again and pushing herself into a sitting position. She kicked herself back and against the wall, using her other hand to hold her head.
With that she leaned over and began vomitting again. "Urgh..." She wiped her chin and before she could say anything else, she felt her chest heave and she threw up again.
After she was sure she was through, she looked over at the corpse then back at the man. "Oh great....a-another hallucination...Or I'm d..dead..."

Arc heard a sputter of violent coming from around the corner, was he too late? He started to hear a male voice, but the sounds of the zombies droned it out completely. He focused attention on the undead infront of him, as they slowely made their was closer and closer, backing himself into a locked door wouldnt be the smartest thing to do. Arc turned and ran toward the exit door to the stairs, but to his disadvantage, it was locked. Fiddling with the doorknob, he started kicking on it, and then turned back to see the infected coming closer toward him.
Arc pulled up his SMG, and started to open fire on the crowd, aiming high for the best he could. There was simply too many of them to take his time and go precision, they would close in on him quicker then he could think. The evident sound of 9mm rounds being fired off filled the air, though they made a descrete noise from the silencer attachment. After a long burst like he shot, the suppressor would start to wear off, and the noise would be a high pitch scramble. After his magazine ran out, Arc dropped his SMG to hang at his side, and then ran forward with his knife. Two of them remained wounded, he used the opportunity to his advantage, jumping on top of the first one he saw and repeating the bladed into his face.
Then whipping around, Arc purposely fell back onto the floor, and use his legs to hoist the remaining zombies into the air, and slammed him into the wall. Then leaping onto his knees, drove the knife into its spine, twisting it up and down until all motion stopped. Breathing heavily, Arc got to his feet, and wiped the blood off of his knife using the sleeve of his vest, and then sheathed it back to his side. Exchanging the clip in his SMG for his last full one, he brought out his sidearm, and aimed it around the corner. He was a man with Anna, but something seemed to be different. Perhaps it couldve just been him jumping to conclusions, but was that man the person she was looking for?

Richard touched the back of his hand against her head. "You're messed up pretty bad," he brushed some of the hair out of her face. "Anna? God damn, not again," Richard muttered as he stood up. He reached into one of the pouches on his belt and pulled out a half empty water bottle.
Richard knelt down next to her again and put his shotgun down. He opened the cap and put the bottle to her mouth. "Come on, drink up. You'll be wasting away like everyone else if you don't."
Richard capped the bottle and put it away. He then put the shotgun in Anna's lap and put her arms around it. "Just hold onto that for a sec..." Richard told her as he picked her up.
"Got a nice place for you to park yourself while I go find you some help," Richard told her as he carried her to the room he just barricaded. He wanted to check out what was happening nearby, but no one seemed to be screaming, so it could wait.
Once he got Anna into the room, he set her down on the bench he moved in front of the door. She could tell man from zombie right? Shouldn't be a problem.
"Now you just wait here, everything's gonna be alright," he told Anna as he took the shotgun from her hands. Richard took his handgun out from his inside jacket pocket and gave it to her.
"Hold on for just a bit, alright?" With that, he turned to leave.

Anna kept her eye on the man, not sure what to say or how to react. She wanted to yell out, "Richard! You're alive!" but she didn't have too much strength left in her, nor did she want to attract any unwanted attention. Of course she also didn't want to just let him out of her sights again. She raised her hand up, reaching towards Richard.
"R-Richard...It's...it's good to have you....back...." she said loud enough for him to hear. She managed a small smile before letting her arm go limp.

Arc lowered his handgun, seeing the man leave the room. From the loud voices inside, he could tell it was Richard, Anna mentioned his name. As the man entered the hallway, Arc walked over to him, and spoke out. He didnt know exactly what to say, but any friend of Annas would be a friend of his. "...Shes been poisoned... Ill fill you in on the details later, here take these..." Arc reached into his pouch, and pulled out a mixture of Green, Red, and Blue herbs. He knew that just the blue would fight the poinson, but the mix of all three would be good for her health, and speed up the process. He handed over to Richard, and then spoke out again. "...Give em to Anna... You play the hero..."
Arc knew what he been through just to get his hands on the medicine for Anna, but no matter what happened, just getting her back to normal would be a greater accomplishment. He aimed his handgun around the corner, making sure no more of those undead would come undetected. He knew the door on the other side was locked, so if any of them got through, he would be the first to hear it.

Richard took the herb mixture and turned back towards the room. "Figured as much," Richard said as he walked back into the room he put Anna in. "Sorry I couldn't leave ya alone for a little bit longer," Richard told her as he started treating her. "One of your friends found you some herbs, so you'll be alright. Guess you'll be stuck with me again."
He finished up and turned 'round to look at the man. "So how about those details?"

Anna looked down at her arm, rubbing at her infected cut. Oddly she could move around a little more, got the feeling back in her legs and her nausea was disipating. Looking back up at Richard she handed him his handgun back.
"You say that...like it's...a bad thing...when it's not..." she told him. She started coughing up some yellowish green liquid. Probablysome of the poison.
"Thanks Arc. And thanks for saving my neck back there with the zombie and the water..." she muttered, her eyes switching between Arc and Richard.
"But..." she began, looking down at her lap. "Where the hell have you been the past fourteen years?"

Arc heard Richard speak, then he walked into the room, and looked down at Anna as she spoke. It was good to see that she was looking better then before, at least she was able to keep a steady sentence going. He spoke under his breath, mainly to himself, but it was quite possible that Richard could hear him. "...Details... How bout Anna fills you in..." Arc walked off to the side of the room, and then leaned himself against the wall. It felt good to take a little break, what with all the action he had just been through, standing still for longer then ten seconds was a good enough reward for him. Arc didnt want to put in on the conversation, so he just stuck back and watched the two of them talk. He pulled out a thick notebook from his pouch, and then opened it up to the last thing written inside...

Page 29: Im Coming Back March 23rd, 2012, Arklay Mountains, 8:34, Night Hovering over the city, I see the same carnage and destruction as I did years before. It seems as if nothing has changed, nothing at all. But I wouldnt be getting off inside the city, it was too dangerous, and I wouldnt know where to go off the start. I request the chopper let me down in Arklay, because it was close, but not too close I was in immediate danger. I notice a medium sized cabin along the rocky cliffs, and it seemed like nobody was around it for quite some time. It was probably a camping lodge of some sort, people just needing to get away. But the reality of it, the people actually needed to get away this time, it was no eggasturation. Letting me down, I hurled my duffle bag onto the grassy but near the place, and then finally make haste myself. I knew the pilot by this time, he worked for my former boss. Every sunday evening, itll make a round though this exact location. If I ever need to get out of here, he was happy to be of service.
Page 30: Safe In The Mountains March 24th, 2012, Arklay Mountains, 12:20, Mid Day Making myself at home in the new safehouse, I found that this place hadnt been used in well over five years. But, it had food rations, a surprisingly moderate collection of ammo, food rations, and some survival equipment such as first aid kits and the sort. I had money, I had guns, but most of all, I had a life, and I was quite happy being alive. I wouldnt stick my neck out for this city, unless they were willing to return the favor. But finding Jess was my main concern, why else would I have come all the back here? The second outbreak made things more complicated for me, but it was nothing I couldnt handle, or hadnt handled in the past. I was quite proud to be a surviver of the last outbreak, and then a surviver of my countrys war, and im bloody well ready for this adventure.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Arc grinned to himself, and wondered if he would ever fill in the rest of the pages with his story. He felt it was important to record everything that happened in the past, but since that day, he had forgotten all about history. This was a reminded to him of how things changed, for the better and for the worse. The highlighted words in the second page he looked at, "sunday evening", this was the key to his survival. Getting out of Raccoon City was always a problem, but the thing was, he came here knowing he would need to get out eventually. Thinking back to the chopper pilot, Arc wondered if he would still keep his word, even after the hell hes been through.
((Joe enters))
The start of Joe's entry had been slow, he was still near the entrance and did not hear Anna scream when the zombie attacked her. He did, however, run straight to the second floor when he saw a male survivor move to the second floor. Holding back a little to avoid being noticed, Joe watched as Richard rescued Anna and healed her wounds, which he presumed had been poisioned before. At least it would explain the herb mixture.
He stepped forward after hanging back during the rescue of Anna. "Well if it isnt the woman who left me for dead back in the streets. What happened to that weird guy you was following around." He glanced at Arc. "Oh look, it's the spy guy as well. It's just a big friendly reunion, really." Joe had actually got alot saner since his last encounter with Anna. But he still had a crazy edge. Hearing a groan, he spun round just in time to push a zombie back as it lunged at him. They had followed Joe, who had been following Richard. Thinking quickly, Joe shoved a nearby smashed-up cabinet so that it fell over the doorway, hitting the wall in a way that made it cover up half the door. "Sorry to break the reunion. I'll handle pinky and perky out there" He jerked a thumb at the ever-growing crowd of zombies. "You guys find a way out or something. I don't know, just don't leave me behind this time, eh?"
