"You havent...", Sherry spoke. It impacted her, that she was more sick in the head then either of them wouldve even thought. She was a very head-on girl, always doing things with profession, but when it came to her boundaries she would usually pass over onto the other side. It was like she turns into a whole new person. She looks and plays the innocent rookie agent, but when it comes down to work, she acted like a psychotic bi*ch. Now she learned that it impacted the people close to her, which then clued her in that she was getting very close to Kevin. This was her first mission where she was working with one single person, and follow the partners code.
This whole time since shes entered Boulder City, Sherry had been thinking about how messed up she was. She wasnt in the zone when sub-conscience was acting like a partner, her mind was thinking things through in her head. However, Sherry was snapped back into reality when Kevin asked about the target they were after, John Chinook. "Well, he was working for the Vegas Security for awhile. But in all honestly, I think hes ex-black ops or something like it. Ive seen that man go through some rough times, especially after the Vegas Quarentine Massacre. Hes as as hard as them came, but always kept a karmatic balance, and never spoke much at all. Yeah, after the VQM, he took off within a week. Never said anything to anybody, not even me, his partner. Well, as far as a partner as you could get with him..."
Sherry felt safe in the house enough to take off her bag, laying it in the corner of the room they were in. Maybe this was a good spot to set up camp, discuss the mission with her partner. As she explained the man Chinook with Kevin, she thought more about him herself. "Hes a soldier, and spent his whole life doing this, being only young when the outbreak started. He was a partner to me, a damn good one. The only other real partner I got along with, besides you." Grinned at the last few words she spoke.

Kevin listen in about Mr.Chinook First words out of her mouth was ex-black ops. Kevin kept one thing in mind: This man could be very difficult to detain, unless it goes smooth. He sure hope it did. She also mention the VQM. Vegas Quarantine Massacre. It was the biggest talk of the town, it was the most gruesome tragedy since world trade attacks. After she was done, and grinned at him, Kevin couldn't help but grin back. "Sounds like he was very harden soldier." His grin faded as he thought what next to ask. Still remembering the survivors back at the dam, the concern was if he was going to them a hard time. "If we do make contact, how do we proceed in detaining him?" He asked.

The whole time, Sherry had sat down on the futon that rested against the wall in the room, and was going through her bag. She only took two shots from her primary, which was the FNP-45 handgun, so its magazine was still full in her eyes. Inside the small bag was another six magazines, along with the box of ammunition for her Python. The magnum was holstered in behind her shirt, under the leather jacket, out of sight out of mind. She wouldnt need to use it for awhile, she was saving it for a special occasion.
Other then the ammunition, there had a few bottles of water, and one of the noodle cups for emergencies. She would have them later tonight, before going to sleep, if she did sleep at all. After hearing what Kevin asked about how they were going to detain John, Sherry looked at him, and spoke out. "Detain him? Thats no why im, were, looking for him. Were going to recruit him..." As the sentence seemed to change the flow of karma in the room, Sherry zipped up her bag, and then lay her head against the pillow on the futon. "Hed be one hell of an asset to the BSAA. Field knowledge, previous experience, and hes been in the First Recon Sniper Division in the Vegas Security. 'The last thing you never see'. We find him, check on Vegas, and then bring him back with us. Thats the mission."

You damn idiot. Detain? Really? He cursed himself in his mind for choosing the wrong words. Its been a long day for the both of them, or so it seems. "Apologies. I'm use to hearing the words 'Detain' too much." he took went threw his bag again to take out a water bottle. It was warm, but it was better then nothing. Also in his bag was a snipers favorite meal. Beef jerky. it was an MRE kind. It been in his bag for almost two years. the standard expiration was seven years. He hadn't been the one to eat on missions nor sniper watch, but it was about time to try, he took it out as well. He opened his bottled water and took a few sips out of it. he closed his bag up then lay down, resting his back on the arm rest. "You think he'll join?" Kevin sure did hope so. A guy like that, he respected, but hopes were sometimes short. Hope sure does work in strange ways. he thought. he let it passed over then looked over at Sherry.

"I got a feeling he wont have much choice once he realizes weve come all this way to see him..." The evening had been quiet, seems Sherry and Kevin were still small time partners in this, and hadnt much to really talk about yet. War stories could be passed back and forth easily, and thats what the two did. Where they were stationed before the outbreak, after the outbreak, how they survived. Neither of them went into much detail, but they both got a feel for the kind of experience theyve had during the time. However, Sherry was growing a little worried that Kevin would figure out she wasnt exactly the soldier she claimed to be, least now how one should be brought up.
____01:25____
As the darkness completed the sky, Sherry could feel herself start to drift off, still against the wall. She wasnt really sure if Kevin was still awake or not, whether he took lead on the night shift or not, whether anybody was watching the house. If he was staying up, she would have to give him a little more credit for them no even needing to flip a coin or something. But the truth was, Sherry had been finished, being up for nearly her third day in a row now. Opening her eyes slightly enough just to see Kevin sitting in a chair and facing the window, not sure if he was sleeping or not, she closed her eyes and let herself fall asleep.
But not even a second later, there was a loud gunshot outside, and Sherry leaped onto the floor with her handgun drawn toward the window along with Kevin. It was only small enough for one person to look out of, so she needed a report from her partner before jumping to any conclusions. "Kevin, do you have visual?"

Kevin wanted to ask her about her accent. Most people like Kevin and his brothers had the Raccoon city accent, like other had accents from New york and Los Angleas. Most people didn't like talk about it, not even what had happen with there family there, loved ones...children. Kevin lost about 3% of family and friends. He almost wish that someone would talk about with him, since he really couldn't get over it but over the years he accepted the fact.
___01:25 AM___ The room filled with darkness... Sherry had gone to sleep. she really did need it. Kevin on the other hand watched the window. Right before she had gone to sleep, he had taken out his M110 and attached the night vision optics infront of the scope. he left it right infront of the couch along with that body hammer he picked up. He really didn't expect anything to happen that was when the gunshots came out he stood up and looked around. It most definently woke Sherry since she asked him if he had visusal.
He slid off the Optic attachment since he didn't tighten the screw on it and put it up to his eye. He couldn't see anything, but he saw a shadow from across the house. "I got a showdow from the building across from were we're at." he lowered his the scope but looked back into it again to see if he could catch a glims. He saw another shadow. "I can't see jack sh*t, but there is shadows, so someone must be over in that house." he looked back over at Sherry. "If it's a suvivor, then we have to check it out. only thing is, they're not walking over to the window for me to tell."

With that, Sherry moved to the front entrance door of the house with her handgun lifted up, waiting for Kevin to get ready when she opened up. Nodding, she swung open the door, and instantly have Kevin aim his rifle outside just in case. Following behind him, Sherry lowered her pistol, but kept it out and ready to fire if needed. She really didnt wanna to find anything she needed to shoot, as it would draw all of the attention toward the street they were on, and only make matters worse. They two stood in front of the house Kevin saw the shadows at, and decided to split up, without making any verbal contact with eachother.
The house was pretty big for the outskirts of Boulder City, so they would certainly know if anybody went inside or not based on windows and doors. But as Sherry neared the side of the house, she aimed the flashlight from her .45 at a brutal corpse laying on the ground. It was one of the survivors from before. However, its neck looked like it had been been cut, not bitten or ripped, it was a clean cut. Reaching down to grab the pump shotgun the man was carrying, Sherry holstered her pistol and took the large 12 gauge instead. Finding another three shells in his pocket, she took them too. If firing a gun was nesicary, this would come in handy.
Sherry neared the back of the house, but didnt yet see Kevin. Then suddenly, she heard a noise back on the street, footsteps dragging on the road. Aiming the shotgun behind her, Sherry jogged toward the street, and looked at a walker standing still, peering into her eyes. Raring up the shotgun to fire, she was about to pull the trigger, but three gunshots ripped through its torso and head. They were suppressed, somebody other than Kevin was watching her. Aiming the shotgun around the neighborhood, Sherry ran to the house, pressing her back against it to maintain a position. Knocking the shotgun three times in a quick two three pattern, it was a signal to Kevin without blurting out loudly.

Kevin heard the knocks and took his position near the door. Sherry had her back against the wall. He looked at her for awhile then try to get a look up further to the street. he left his M110 inside the house. If he was right: she saw a sniper shoot a walker or at her. He took his optic scope and looked around. He checked fields, yards, and houses. He spotted the shooter, reloading another round, spotted on the side of the block they were on over looking the house a little bit and mostly the street. The weapon was silence. she was lucky that there was a bush, other wise it would have been easy pickings for that other guy. as he kept his eyes on that spot, he motioned his hand forward counting them with his fingers, he only shown full sets of four fingers in a row, clenching a fist and revealing as he did so. He also flatten his hand then raised it up one, meaning second floor. He took his eye off the scope and raised one finger. Sixteen houses up. second floor. One Tango (for Sherry's case, it met target)
He was concerned with her safety as well as his own. He needed to see who they were really facing off, besides the fact it was a man with a suppressed weapon. and walking out wasn't an option. wish I had some smoke grenades. he told himself. But what if he had thermal optics?. Enough was enough, they had no choice but sneaking to the back way. that's if, the guy wasn't that smart.
He had his plan formed up already it was about time she knew about it. first thing first, get her in solid cover. He reached for his rifle he left on the floor then walked over by the edge of the front door, gently grabbed Sherry's arm and pulled her back in silently and with no movement and placing her behind Kevin so she wasn't shot throw the bushes. This was usually a mind work, he let his brain do the talking in situations like this one. once she was in cover, he put the optic scope back in his sniper rifle and secured the attachment piece on and looked at sherry again, Motioned for back door, and the four sets of fingers again, mimicking a person tip toeing with his fingers. He raised his thumb up with a look of questioning on his face.

Sherry really had no choice but to follow Kevins lead, as her handgun, nor shotgun, was able to get a shot that far to save her life. In this situation, it might be the only thing to save her life, and her partners. But she left it up to Kevin as he was the one with the rifle to do damage at that range, more if they could get closer, make a kill. As she moved through the back of the house, and kept herself invisible to the shooter. Then worse came, and a few more infected had been making their was down the street, nearing the house. This was a deadly situation, especially for them, as they now had tow dangers to worry about at the same time.
Peeking out back at the spot where the shoot was, there wasnt any fire coming out toward them, not a single shot. Either this was an experience sniper waiting for a perfect shot, or he was on the move. From this side of the house, Sherry could speak out without giving away her position. "Hes on the move, we should just get out of her, stalemate." But then suddenly, Sherry heard another few rounds of fire coming from the other side of the house, closer to them, but still silenced. Peering out onto the street, the four zombies that were moving toward them were now laying on the ground motionless. With her eyes getting a little wider, Sherry pointed to make sure Kevin was seeing this, but he was still trying to get visual on the shooter.
Keeping perfectly still on the side of the house she was on, Sherry wasnt content on staying there, but again, she had no choice in the matter. It wasnt until a few minutes later that the both of them deemed the eastern side of the street clear, the shooter was gone, mustve ran off. For all they knew, he couldnt just been somebody like them, just trying to get through Boulder City in one piece. Thats when Sherrys radio went off in her hear, and from the looks of it, Kevins too. "Got some blood above your cheek, right below those blue eyes of yours."
Hearing those words made Sherry uncomfortably leap on a diagonal into the cover of a garage shed not five feet away from her. Somehow, the shooter was able to access the BSAA radio, communicate with them on the private frequency she was sure hadnt be active by any other members in the last month. Looking at Kevin, Sherry moved her hand straight, telling him to move, as the shooters sights were on her for the moment. Another shot was fired, coming from the neighbors yard on the other side of the fence, maybe two or three fences down to be honest. But the shot wasnt aimed for Sherry nor Kevin, it hit another walker that had been roaming the street. "Looks like thats the last of them... Should be safe now."

Kevin was starting to notice now, they were shooting walkers. Communitcations access wasn't even possible on BSAA channels. then it hit him about the other night when they had just got in the house, Sherry had said john might be ex black op. It raced through his head. He wasn't sure if he should take action, since the snipers had just taken out those walkers. He looked over at sherry, mouthing the words silently with no sound. "Now what?" Kevin didn't want to jump the gun on friendlies, unless he had to. He pationently waited, keeping his patiance calm and cool.

[Chinook enters]
"I got one of them too, quite the coincidence we happen to be on the same frequencies, though. When I heard the chatter over the radio from Hoover Dam, I decided to follow you guys. Was a little mixed up, seeing as your not dressed as BSAA agents..." Standing in plain view now, his rifle slung on his back, Chinook spoke out to the pair. He was looking at the male, who had his gun trained on him the whole time, not taking any chances. But what he eyes the most was the red head. Somehow, she was familliar. Definitly not her hair though, but the face, and the jacket to be honest with himself. "...I apologize for catching you two off guard, was just passing by. Just pretend you never saw me."
Sherry wouldve had her gun raised, but the man had his on his back. As he spoke, something clicked in, the voice, she remembered who it belonged to. Looking over at Kevin, Sherry knew that maybe he thought back to the photo she showed him back in her apartment, this was the same guy. Before the man left the area, Sherry spoke out to him, standing in his way and accepting a glare. "John Chinook, First Recon Vegas Security Sniper. At least until you went missing. Ive been looking for you, the both of us have. Please, dont leave." But Chinook continued to glare at the girl, and spoke out in a rough, low tone. "I go by many name, but Chinook. Thats the more popular one to hear. Anyone who knows that name obviously knows me, but I dont know you." Chinook shot a look over at Kevin, who had his gun down by not holstered.

Kevin swallowed dryness. he stood up and put and took his hand off his rifle.. "I'm like you, people who know me just know me." He placed his hand down, not on the gun. "Kevin Nuttinfield, was a member of BMR in the Marine branch." Knowing that it was John Chinook, he knew he wasn't a threat hence he took out the walkers out. "I'm BSAA just like Sherry. I'm a friend, John."

"Sherry... VS Paramore, right? Well isnt this one jolly Christmas. Now what did you need me for? If you bothered coming all this was based on a hunch id actually here here, must be pretty important for a girl like you to be chasing a guy like me. Had some unfinished business or something?" Chinook watched Sherry with cold eyes. Something wasnt right here. Nobody in the world needed him, thats why he never bothered even showing his face to anyone for anything.
"Your the only real family I have left..." Chinook heard Sherry respond, shocked at the words. But still, he kept on the same face. "I dont know what your problem is, but you and I are NOT family. The only thing we share is field experience, nothing else, nothing more."

Kevin looked back at Sherry, he could tell with the words John had said they weren't family. He had knew most people who he considered family who weren't family. "then why hide from her?" he spoked out. "The way I see it, if she hadn't care about looking for you, then we wouldn't be here. I also think that if was her problem that she came out here looking for you, then if must be mine as well." Kevin knew what he was talking about. If he hadn't came with her. If he hadn't agree to be partners, it would be most like problematic. She wouldn't even live still be alive if it wasn't for him. The way John sounded, if was more like he didn't care about what happen anyone.
"If you were following us, there has to be some sort of trust for Sherry, seeing how you managed to take out some pussballs out here. If you really don't see her as a family, then why follow us? why follow her?" He hoped this helped her out for the most part, but most importantly he had hope John knew what he was talking about. In the end, he'll probably end up in the same situation someday.

After hearing the tone that Chinook spoke in, Sherry was ready to just come out and say it. She was trying not to bring it up, because she knew exactly how the man felt about the topic, but at this point it would be for the better. "Nearly everybody lost them all, they have no more family. So the people that are closer to you, those are the only family you have. Maria, your wife, I was friends with her. Close friends. That makes us more then just partners whether you like it or not. When she was lost during the Vegas Ma-"
But thats when Chinook spoke out, cutting Sherry off completely. "You have no right to be talking about Maria, you dont know the truth. Id like to get my hands on the bast*rd who was on gate shift when it happened too, but thats not how I lost her. You may believe she was a victim there, I believe that she escaped before we opened fired." Before either of them could finish the argument which was about to get even worse, there was a moan coming from behind the house. Sherry pulled out her gun, and aimed at the small crowd of infected sloshing toward them. "Ill take them out silently, get yourselves inside that house across the street!"
