Dominique wasn't given much of a chance to answer Sin before she left the room. She sighed a bit but knew well enough it wold be best to let her do what she needed to in order to fully recover. She couldn't help but think of the mission knowing well enough it would be very dangerous. If three Black Armored Crusaders failed to make their way out of this area then what did they think a single Black Armored Crusader and a Templar could do. Though her mind drifted back to what her father said. A Crusader's job was to protect the Templar even at the cost of their own life. Her hands gripped the edge of the chair now realizing why it was this mission the two of them were being sent on.
"Damn it," she barked before slamming her fist into the chair. She stood up and stormed out of the room. Her father was trying to get rid of Sin from the get go. He just wouldn't let her have anything that she wanted. Sin was the first person since she lost Serga as a friend that she even wanted to be friends with. After Serga had betrayed her when she needed him the most she kept to herself wanting to hide from others, and not wanting to be hurt by anyone else again. Though as she grew older she sought friendship, but no one in the order ever seemed to be the right person. An then there came Sin. In those woods her determination, her strength, and her angelic beauty. It all seemed to draw her in.
"Dominique," the words were light and she almost didn't hear them in her thought process. "My dear child what troubles you?" She turned to find her father standing behind her. Not a look of concern on his face.
"I know what you're doing, and it wont work," she growled before turning to walk away from him.
"I allow you to have your freedom, but it seems to be taking away your loyalty. You're being misguided and drawn down a dark path." He called after her.
Dominique stopped but didn't turn to face him. "Then what would you have me do, father?"
"Tread lightly my daughter. If you go to far down this dark path I will be forced to bring you back, and you may not like the way I have to do it."
Dominique didn't say a thing but continued on down the hallway before she found Sin. She smiled lightly as she made her way up to her. "I do hope you are up for another mission. The Counsel wants to send us to the area you and your team first infiltrated. Apparently they were gaining Intel, and three of your team members didn't make it out. The Counsel wants us to retrieve the Intel, and bring the other three Black Armored Crusaders out if possible." She hesitated for a moment before looking up at Sin. "Only when you are ready."

As Dominique relayed the information of the mission, Sin found herself thinking of who she didn't see within the area as she strode up to stand beside Dominique her lips pursed in thought-an action she had seen female Templars do and never realizing that she had copied them herself as she lowered her head thinking. Moving over to one of the information terminals that were scattered throughout the compound, the fingers of one hand tapping upon the touch screen using the icons till she found the general crest of the Seraph squad before tapping it twice that brought up a list. Her face paling a bit when she saw her name had the words transferred beneath it before letting her eyes look down the list of crusaders, nodding her head absently seeing Pride, Lust, Greed and Gluttony listed as within the base and Envy having been posted as a guard at one of the tunnels that led towards the city. Yet, when her eyes trailed down she saw the three names that were still active on a mission and she found it strange now that one of them was sent on such a mission.
With a flick of a finger she sent the screen back to its default screen before turning to face Dominique, her voice now that she was fully rested had a stronger tune, and the melody nearly heard floating within her words, ""Lady Templar I am prepared to undertake the mission, though I have some reservations.", frowning again as her eyes strayed to the small terminal even though the information was no longer displayed before returning her gaze towards Dominique, "I was never informed of a secondary mission involving the base mission I was led and believe it was acted upon by one of the Crusaders who have more of a voice within the Templars concerning mission objectives. From the roster I gained that they remained within the base after our initial mission was accomplished.", with a nod of her head, her golden hair dancing along her shoulders before continuing, "I am prepared to undertake the mission, though I would advise us to head towards the outpost from the base in order to gather supplies for the mission in case the team requires aid when we approach their last known location.", though as she spoke a shadow covered her as Pride stepped up behind her before bowing his head slightly as he cleared his throat.
"Sin I can give you some clarification of what occurred during your absent.", nodding his head towards Dominique for her to also listen, though his eyes studied her carefully as he continued, "After eliminating the majority of hostiles we entered the base as planned and headed towards the communication center to forward our progress and success to home base. Though we eliminated the bulk of the unclean we came under attack during our initial assessment of ascertaining what occurred within the base that led to its infection. While under attack we received word from command to continue our progress into the base to the lower levels though we were hard pressed to retain our position, we were forced to split up with Leon, Sloth and Wrath staying behind while the rest of our forces drawing the bulk of the enemy with us out of the base.", upon reaching the outpost we set about rearming ourselves when we received word to pull back to wait further instructions. I was surprised instead of sending our team back out they are instead sending you two the base to retrieve the team and the intel.", falling silent he motioned for Sin to join him a bit further away.
His eyes upon Dominique for a bit, though his eyes held a sense of respect and gratitude before lowering his bulk so he could speak with Sin privately, "Sloth I would assume be still alive she was one of the strongest members despite her inability to beat any of us, Wrath is one of our youngest member and loses himself to much in righteous zeal to hold himself together and Leon...he still and unknown though I respect his ardor when in combat he is through not a full Crusader born to this world of ours.", straightening he gave Sin a nod, and despite her no longer being his leader and she now lesser of rank than himself Pride still gave her his respect as a commander before passing by her, though when he passed by Dominique, his voice nearly startling her at how low it could as he whispered in passing, "Beware, the lower levels where only the counsel treads when you reach that pass young Templar", with that his giant formed vanished around a corner, the last thing they saw was his massive sword.
Standing still Sin pondered over the information Pride relayed and felt that though the tactic was sound, she would have kept the unit together instead of dividing its strength like Lust had done before shaking her head, her hair dancing along her shoulders as she turned to face Dominique, "I follow your orders Lady Templar, to embark upon this mission to retrieve my fellow crusaders and the intel the counsel wished.", once more bowing before Dominique and staying bowed as she waited for Dominique's answer.

Dominique listened to what Pride had to say before he pulled Sin further away. She couldn't help but wonder just how many undead were left. Sin had nearly died getting rid of quite a bit, and then they pulled a good group out no doubt killing them as they went. She could only fathom just how much trouble they were getting ready to walk into. She looked up at Pride caught her by surprise when he spoke to her. The thought of the Counsel running the lower floors got her thinking. Looking back at Sin she wondered if the Counsel members kept information on Crusaders and their care takers. If they did then this mission may have also been a blessing in disguise. She looked up as Pride walked away the bulk of his sword finally disappearing around the corner.
When Sin was ready they made their way to the outpost. The long walk taking a shorter time due to both of them being in much better health than the last time. Once at the outpost they were able to gather food, water, and various other supplies that they may need depending on how long this mission was going to be. If they ended up getting pinned down she didn't know how long they were going to be stuck there so it was better to be prepared. Once a bag was packed she quickly snatched it up before Sin even had the chance to take it in hand. With her armor it only made since for Dominique to carry it since it would provide less of a hindrance.
Once outside of the outpost she waited until they were a good distance away. She didn't want to say anything to Sin about the chambers while they were alone in crowded area's it was easy to mask their conversation, but in enclosed spaces with just the two of them their voices would echo everything they said. An the more she grew up the more she became paranoid of her father and the way he did things. Looking around she let out a sigh before turning to Sin. "Pride had mentioned something about the lower area's belonging to the Counsel. I want to check that area out before we leave if it is at all possible. I'm hoping that there may be something their on your father and what happened to him."
Dominique paused as they reached the river that Sin had fallen in not to long ago. The single river that almost too her life but also saved it. Looking around she found stones that lead across. Quickly making her way across she looked back at Sin. "I figured we could start here. At least it will give me an idea of where this information may be. If not I can always visit father's office and do a bit of snooping around. I just want to be sure before I even attempt to do something like that." She paused as she turned away from Sin her hand drifting to her cheek as she thought about the slap earlier. She let out a sigh and tried to push everything away except for what was happening now and on this mission.

For the most part Sin was content to let Dominique lead, though it was only a few hours ago she herself led her squad through these same woods towards the same objective she found it strangely pleasant following instead of leading. Though she did try to make a move to take up the pack of supplies Dominique had already snatched the bag up before Sin could reach out to take it herself, and though she felt slightly off from it Sin decided Dominique knew what she was doing as Sin listened. Already her mind was on the possibility of finding information about Simon, though it was tinged slightly that she might not have earned the right to such information she couldn't help feeling for a lack of a better term excited as she went through the woods-though despite her mind being on other things Sin had already unsheathed her new sword, its naked blade glinting in the faint light of the new sun that was just barely peeking over the horizon as they went along the river.
Reaching the river though brought Sin to a halt, and for a moment her heart skipped a beat as she remembered her plunge before shaking her head, as she too used the stones to ford the river-of course she went a bit more slowly due to her armor before jumping onto the bank where Dominique was waiting. As Dominique spoke, Sin felt slightly alarmed that she would go that far in finding the information and for a moment Sin didn't quite know what to make of it or how she should react, instead nodding as she watched Dominique touch her cheek before they started moving through the woods. The gesture in itself was nothing but it was the look Dominique had on her face that drew Sin's attention, and as she walked a few feet behind Dominique Sin allowed her to mind to toy around with that gesture as she kept her sword loosely in her right hand as her left rested upon her Vector.
Despite her apparent ease in walking, Sin was alert of their surroundings as her eyes when not looking towards Dominique was roving from the river to the tree line as she fell to musing, Dominique looked pained...and it was only after mentioning about breaking into her father's..., for a moment Sin stopped walking before she started up again, her eyes misting slightly as she realized that Dominique worked with her father, She must have earned the right to have her mentor so near..., and without realizing she let out a soft sigh, before shaking her head as she sped up her pace slightly so she didn't fall far behind Dominique as they started ascending.
As the terrain passed, Sin started for a moment with a jolt of realization that they were walking up the same cliff face that she fell from. As the realization sank in she tightened her grip on her sword as she moved to walk beside of Dominique, her eyes now focused on the woods to their side as they made their way, "Lady Templar, best be ready this is the area where I was separated from my squad...though I am confident of my squad's ability to clear the area I would advise we move with caution now till we reach the base's entrance.", a soft melody floating within the whispered words as Sin unsnapped the strap that held her Vector in place.

Dominique stopped when Sin talked about the woods. She looked toward the direction of the cliff then to the woods. She would have expected the Black Armored Crusaders to take out the rest of the undead before entering, but considering what they had run into below there must have been more somewhere in the woods. Drawing her sword she held it at the ready. The trip through the woods hopefully wouldn’t be a long one. Considering the day before she was currently sick of dealing with the woods and everything that seemed to be crawling in them. She shook her head as they slowly started making their way into the woods.
The woods seemed darker than normal even with it being daylight out. She had to keep her ears open and her eyes peeled knowing well enough her eyes would fail her in this darkness. A snapping twig here a shuffling of leaves there indicated that there was movement in the woods. But the movements seemed faster than the undead and the sounds like a large group. Stopping she looked around the woods cursing for a moment knowing that she would be fighting with limited site. She turned to look Sin. She feared that it was a large group of undead moving toward them at a fast speed, but her fear was replaced with another as the howl echoed through the woods.
“Damn, dogs,” she growled as she took the backpack off and set it to the side. At least she could fight better without it on. “Stay on your feet.” An statement was made with all seriousness. If you were end up on the ground there would almost be no likeliness of ever getting back up alive. The growl came from behind at the pack of dogs attacked at once. Four to what she could count, and quickly dogging one as it dove straight toward her. She managed to shift and catch one in the side before it ran into the woods. Another charged toward her but she managed to keep its teeth at pay with her sword. As the virus infected creature tried to push her back she stood her ground. Her hand drifting for one of her guns but stopped.
If she was use her weapon it would no doubt attract more unwanted attention, and they didn’t need to tire themselves out more than they needed to. Pushing forward she looked up as the one dog she had injured before came charging forward. Thinking quickly she let go let up on her weight and shifted to the side. In turn the dog continued moving forward colliding with the other one. Flipping her sword she dashed forward as the two animals were making their way to their feet. Driving her blade into the neck of one before cutting up to sever the spine and nervous system. As she pulled the sword from one the other one attacked to find a similar fate as the last one. The blade of her sword cutting through his neck severing its head from its body. Panting slightly she stepped back looking toward Sin and how she faired with the creatures.

For the past few moments, Sin became aware of how silent the woods had become just before Dominique yelled about dogs, as the beasts came charging from out of the woods. Yet, even as the beasts charged Sin had her sword ready as the first two came rushing at her, in the back of her mind almost as if in after thought she heard the voice of the instructor from when she was younger. Infected canines, though swift and lethal are some of the fragile B.o.w.s, while as their speed and strength has increased and a certain of degree endurance compared to uninfected dogs they lose some of the intelligence. In most cases they lose any previous training and devolve into a near feral state, in some cases lesser than that for in example they display a pack behavior they do not coordinate instead relying on a frenzy of attacks to bring down prey. As the words echoed faintly in her mind both dogs leaped in the air, their howls echoing each other as Sin, a third one running towards her side as she dropped into a crouch as the two dogs flew over her head, one dogs' paws touched her armored back which was soon followed by a squeal and a thud as one of them hit a tree.
Still in a crouch she rolled to the side to avoid the third dog who tried to tackle her, jumping up from her roll her sword still in hand she brought the blade two handed down upon the dog before it could turn around to attack her again, the close confines of the trees preventing it from running any further as her sword sliced through its midsection before she spun around to bring the blade to bear as one of the other dogs had recovered, the blade slicing through into the hinge of its jaw. Still wielding the sword two handed she drove her strength as she pushed the blade through the hinge of the jaw before slicing through the neck as the top half of the dog's head flew away.
Drawing her weapon from the mess of a body, the one she had cut in two still scrabbling with its front paws towards as she looked around for the one that had run into the tree, barely catching movement to her side as the dog lunged at her from the side. Unable to use her sword fast enough, and wishing she had her mace Sin caught the attack on her forearm, the dog's teeth grinding against the metal as it latched on trying to drag her to the ground. Keeping her grip on her sword she reached forward with her free arm to grab the beast by its neck, and using the arm the beast had in its jaw as a lever she applied pressure till she heard a whine before a loud snap as the body went limp. Giving her arm a brief look, the metal scratched and pitted from the power of the dog's jaw before looking up to see another hound charging her, barely only avoiding its attack as she side stepped it while swinging her blade, the blade cutting through one of its hind legs before it collapsed onto the ground, a second later her blade puncturing its skull.
Without a backward glance she removed her sword before letting the blade fly towards the one half dog still trying to drag itself towards her, the blade slicing through the neck as the head rolled away as she took stock of the situation, her eyes tracking Dominique's progress, that was when a dog attacked her back, its weight knocking her to the ground. Reacting instinctively which probably saved her, she brought her forearm up as she twisted to fall onto her side as the dog latched its teeth, as her other hand reached for her sword...yet feeling the pressure as the dog's jaws started to crush the metal as it shook its head preventing her from reaching her sword. Placing one foot up against the dog, her leg muscles bunching as she flung the slavering animal off her as its teeth caused sparks to fly from the metal of her armor, her other hand grabbing the hilt of her sword before stabbing, the point of the blade entering the beast's mouth before bursting from the back of its head, yet she continued pushing till the teeth hit the hilt of her sword before collapsing to her knees.

As soon as Dominique seen Sin collapse to one knee she was running to her side. She had only one worry running through her head and that was that she had pulled Sin out into the battle field to early. She had endured a lot, and then turned around and had to endure even more when she got back to the base. When she reached Sin she let out a sigh of relief when she seen that she was okay. She smiled lightly as Sin climbed to her feet, and her eyes doing a quick glance over to make sure she wasn't hurt.
"You had me worried there for a moment. Are you going to be okay to move?" With Sin's nod she turned to look at the pack of dead dogs. "They must have been drawn out into the woods after your fight earlier," she pointed out as she walked back to the bag. Picking it up she slung it over her shoulder before looking back at Sin as she made her way up to her. Dominique had to take into consideration that Sin wasn't at the top of her game even with the rest and medical attention.
As they moved through the woods once more she couldn't help but think back to her father. He was eager to send them on this mission, and probably in hopes that Sin wouldn't make it back. It infuriated her even more knowing that he would do that just because he despised her standing up against him. For so many years she had remained quite, but being with Sin for that first time she knew what she wanted. She had to fight for what she wanted, and know she knew she was going to have to continue to fight for what she wanted. She looked up at Sin. A friendship with a unique Crusader, and not just a partnership.
She had been so lonely since Serga left so long ago. Hiding from the world and secluding herself from making other friends. Though it didn't help when her father tried to pick the friends he wanted her to have. An then the good Lord put Sin in her path, and she knew it was a sign. A sign for her to change and grow stronger. A sign for her to make changes regardless of weather her father liked it or not. That scared little girl that obeyed her father's every word would have to change. An as she looked at Sin she knew she was going to be the first one. If she could ever get her to stop calling her 'Lady Templar.'
Shaking her head she didn't realize that they had made their way out of the woods and were now next to the facility. The main entrance standing wide open for the world to enter and exit. Approaching cautiously they made their way into the darkened corridors, but further up the hall a faint flickering light could be seen. "Well at least there is light to the facility," she spoke quietly as they made their way down the hall. The blood covered walls, and bodies or body parts thrown everyone. "How is this possible? There were to many Crusaders here to even let this happen. I could understand Templars falling like this, but not Crusaders."

Sin seconded that thought as they wandered further into the base, the light flickering a faulty guide at best. Though Sin was still a bit off from the attacks from the dogs, her ability to use a sword was what hampered her the most, not wanting to think she wasn't yet at her full strength and yet her body still ached from last night's ordeals. Instead she let her mind dwell on the carnage, disturbed by how many were dead and also by something that was off about the torn body parts and corpses that in some cases were piled along hall ways. As they drew neared to the light's source, Sin thought back to the moment they opened the base when her squad was at her back, the sudden flood of armor clad unclean that literally exploded forth when the doors were opened-a flood of unclean which nearly drowned her squad and herself. Frowning faintly, her eyes looking at one particular body that had been cleaved literally in half at the midsection, the echoes of their foot steps the only sounds for the moment in the entire facility Sin realized what was bothering her so much about the bodies.
To make sure Sin examined the next few bodies, her frown deepening as something became noticeable after looking upon the body of a female unclean, the remains of a Templar uniform nearly torn from the corprse and the bite marks that covered the woman's body, to the red armored crusader whose head was completely smashed, and how marked up the armor was as if they never maintained their armor in a long time. Looking up Sin let Dominique get a head of her for a few seconds as she went towards a door, her blood soaked sword held loosely in her hand as she opened a door to a room that connected to the corridor-the room was if she remembered the lay out was a simple guard room and in most cases would have been used as a final stand near the entry doors, by most cases it would have both Templar's and Crusaders and yet when she looked in there was no Crusaders at at all within the small room but the torn apart bodies of Templars. Turning away from the room, Sin increased her strides to catch up to Dominique her eyes already seeing the pattern and what had bothered her.
Despite her attempt to keep her voice soft, the silent corridor only seemed to make her voice, its melody containing a bit of a tremble from the knowledge she had gained, "Lady Templar, all the Crusader's shows signs of being eliminated by my team but none of the Templar's seem to have been eliminated by my team rather they seem to have been attacked by another "force"....", unable to speak what she realized, it shook her world to much as her eyes fell upon the body of a red armored young woman, her head long gone, removed by a sharp blade perhaps though what drew her was the gauntlets of the woman were covered in gore. None of the Templars became unclean...why are the only unclean Crusaders..., her mind twisting up inside her as they finally reached the source of a the blinking light, a working video monitor playing a video recording of the little guard room she explored, the people standing behind the desk or what barricade they could make before the door crashed open .
The scene repeating itself over and over as the Crusaders tore apart of the Templars, the sound thankfully muted but deep within Sin's heart her soul rent out a cry as her eyes watched the monitor.

Dominique couldn't help but cringe at the site before her. Death and gore always surrounded a Templar regardless of how much they kept their hands clean. But the site before her seemed different. The feel was different. Their looks on their faces was different. They were caught by surprise of the unknown . . . unexpected. The Crusaders were what was different. She looked up as Sin caught back up to her before they continued on down the hall. Her words echoing in the hall. Knowing well enough what she was wanting to say, but not wanting to finish.
An then there was the video that confirmed both of their fears. She looked back down the hall before turning the screen off. Her head swimming with the thought of having to go up against a undead Crusader. Granted their movements were slower than her's, but their strength would still be great. Then there was the fact that only the Crusaders were infected, but it didn't make since she didn't think a Crusader could become infected. An even if they could only the Crusaders were infected not a single Templar was.
"The Templars got their asses handed to them," she said a bit shocked that she spoke what was on her mind. She sighed a bit before shaking her head. "This is bad . . . very bad. There is something here that could affect only the Crusaders, and I'm worried about that. If there is more here . . ." she paused and looked at Sin ". . . I don't know how much help I'll be if not a hindrance. I do not have the skill set or the strength to go up against a Crusader on my own."
Stepping around the room she looked toward the hall that lead to the lower levels. "I'm now starting to feel so under dressed for this," she mumbled under her breath before leading the way down the hall. Drawing her sword she knew well enough that she didn't stand a change against a Crusader on her own, but it didn't mean she couldn't help hinder them until Sin could deal with it. Though that worried her a bit as she looked back at Sin. These were her family more or less. Individuals created to be able to take the virus and not be effected. That was why they were the front line in the undead war.
Now though this changed things. There was a way to infect those who were the strongest force within this fight. She looked back at Sin knowing well enough, but playing that she didn't hear it the tremble in her voice. She was human as they came, but for some reason that made her worry how she would really react coming across the other Crusaders. An then there was her team members in the lower levels. What would happen if they were infected, or what would she do if Sin got infected. "Sin," she said lightly as she looked back at her again. "Promise me one thing, regardless of what happens down here or what has happened. You will think of your health first. I mean as for what ever infected the Crusaders. I don't want to lose you."

Sin simply nodded her face impassive, and yet once her eyes would show a fight sparkle of a light was now clouded, now those eyes only looked out into the world that brief light, flare of soul now laid shuttered within the world that it thrived in, that sustained had taken a blow. Within Sin saw that scene repeat endlessly, those who swore to protect, butchering the ones they should have protected, each hit every scream was a blow thundering against her very self. She wanted Simon, to answer these questions to tell her everything was okay, that there was some reason that video showed such a scene, anything so the blows upon her soul would cease. Yet, Simon did not appear, and Sin crawled deeper within herself as she walked through the blood stained corridors, her eyes looking upon the bodies of the Templars unable to look up those of the Crusaders.
Why did they kill them...how...Simon where are you..., already her mind had thrown away the rationality, just remembering the words of a Templar that if they ever were infected they would slay themselves in order to protect the Templars. Yet, why did these Crusaders not kill themselves to protect the Templar, with a tightening of her hand upon her sword hilt, she wasn't thinking as she drove her blade into the corpse of a Crusader, the blade piercing the man's armor. The muscles of her arm tensing as she drew the blade out before spinning and impaling another body, not aware of Dominique's look of concern or worry as she pulled her sword out to seek another corpse. Even Sin didn't know what she was doing this just knowing she had to do something, anything so the part of her part of her wouldn't grow insane as her world continued to tremble all around her.
Not even aware of how hard she was clenching her teeth that it hurt as she stabbed another body, a loud snap as her sword broke in half making her stumble to her knees as she held up her useless sword before tossing it away from her as she searched for another blade, another weapon so she could continue. Stumbling to her feet, her hair covering her face as she looked around, unable to find a weapon as only the faces of these unclean crusaders stared up at her, forcing her to back up against one of the blood splattered walls till her armored back hit the wall. Breathing heavily she for a moment fingered her Vector, the cool metal of the gun calming her, and for a moment she had a clear thought.
They failed, that is all there is to it...they failed and aren't real crusaders...they failed, I won't fail...never, I will protect Dominique...I will not fail, I will earn the right..., as her breathing calmed she stood up from the wall, her eyes straying to her broken sword before bending down to take a fallen weapon, a Templar's sword, avoiding the torn body of the Templar before sheathing her new weapon. Looking towards Dominique, her blue eyes still clouded, their bright clear blue muddied, "Forgive me Lady Templar, I will not falter again.", and for once that melody that floated upon her words was absent, the words toneless as she strode past Dominique.

Dominique couldn't help but worry even more about Sin. Her actions and moves were nothing like a Crusader or the Sin she knew. Looking back to the room with the TV monitor. She let out a heavy sigh knowing well enough that Sin had seen something that didn't bode well with her mind. She kept her distance worrying that if she tried to stop her that she wouldn't realize what she was doing considering. As she looked down at one of the Crusaders fallen form she couldn't help but wonder if someone had found a way to alter the virus, or if the virus was growing out of control. She looked up at Sin as she finally stopped.
Biting her lip she wanted to say something, but stopped herself when Sin started to move. She knew her eyes failed her when she spoke again. The musical tone she had enjoyed hearing since she had met her was gone, and the look in her eyes seemed clouded as if she was hiding within herself. She wanted to ask why, but knew well enough why. She wanted to suggest ideas of what may have happened within the facility, but she couldn't. She was forbidden as a Templar to mention anything to the Crusader about their up bringing.
As Sin turned to walk down the hall she couldn't help but curse herself. She wanted to be friends with Sin, but how could she when she kept a devastating secret. The reason why they were immune to the undead, and yet someone used it against them. She jogged slightly to catch up with Sin as they continued down the hall to a set of stairs that lead down. Carefully moving to the stairs she looked down not being able to see the bottom since the light weren't working to well. "Sin," she said lightly as she looked at her. "You have never failed or faltered. You are human, and humans make mistakes. We learn from our mistakes." She smiled lightly when she looked at her. "Our emotions control us regardless of how well we do to hide them. Our emotions is what makes us stronger. Say a prayer for your fallen friends, and keep them close to your heart. We will find out what happened, and set things right."

AS they descended the stairs, their footfalls echoing upon steps though Sin stopped as Dominique spoke, and for a moment something within her trembled before shaking her head, once again her voice lacing that sweet melody, "Lady Templar, forgive my rudeness but we are different, I am a tool for you to use to be your sword and shield. I do not ask for anything more than to fulfill my role as what is called upon me till I can no longer perform my duty and be replaced.", turning to face Dominique, her eyes clouded as she gave a brief bow, "Use me as you see fit, that is all I can ask.", straightening up Sin turned back around to continue descending the stairs, though for a brief second her eyes unclouded for just a second to let loose a tear that was quickly lost to the darkness before her eyes clouded up.
Leading the way, drawing her sword from its sheath as she rested her hand upon her vector. From what she remembered Pride telling her there should be hostiles and yet as they had gone a distance within the complex they had yet ran into any thing other than the bodies, and none at moment currently. Sin found it strange, though it also bespoke of the chances of finding the rest of the squad alive increased, and though she tried to smother the feeling that crept up sin felt a brief moment of elation as she thought of seeing the rest of the squad before hiding the feeling away as the reached the bottom of the stairs.

Dominique couldn't help but feel ashamed of herself as Sin turned to continue on down the stairs. She dropped her head as she followed in silence. She was just as bad as the other Templars for using Crusaders as tools, but she didn't want to see Sin that way. It was something about her, maybe her uniqueness, or maybe something else. She wanted to treat her differently . . . she didn't see her as a tool. An she didn't think she could ever see her as a tool. She was almost like a fallen Angel lost to the world seeking her freedom and her wings. An yet here she was pulling her down, and she couldn't do anything about it. Well she could, but it would possibly consist of her losing Sin because she broke her vow as a Templar.
Dominique stood beside Sin as she opened the door to the last main level. They would have to locate the Counsel Chambers in order to get to the last two levels that only the Counsel members entered. Looking down the hall it was empty just a few bodies, but nothing more. It didn't make any since as they moved down the hall. The door was secured and there was no sign of any of the undead. Dominique stopped by another fallen Crusader and knelt down. His body badly beaten, and half his face seemed to be torn off. His armory crushed in various places. There was one thing she did notices about every single Crusader in the facility.
"There all Red armored Crusaders," she said out loud. She went to get up but stopped when she heard the noise down the hall. Looking in the direction of the sound she could hear the shuffling armor before she seen the armored Crusader stumbling down the hall dragging his sword behind him. Dominique was taken by surprise when a hand reached up grabbing her neck. She chocked feeling the crushing grip on her throat. The Crusader not as dead as she thought he was. Then the sound came from behind as three more Crusaders moved from a hallway behind them.
The Crusader climbed to his feet dragging Dominique up with him. She fought to free herself from the creature finding that she was failing miserably. Her brain seemed to click that she was still clinging onto her sword, but before she even use it she was thrown to the ground as almost an after thought as he went after Sin. Though she knew well enough that she wasn't an after thought as she had to roll out of the way of a sword coming down. The blade chipping the ground indicating that even though they moved slow their strength hadn't diminished at all. This wasn't good for her. Ducking under another swing his blade sticking into the corner of the wall.
She came up under his arm bring the blade of her sword to up toward the opening in his armor. Instead she felt the elbow of the Crusader hit her back throwing her to the ground. She growled and rolled on her side. These weren't normal undead Crusaders. They seemed to have a bit of thought . . . they weren't like the zombies. There was something else wrong. As the Crusader pulled his weapon from the wall she hand one of her guns free. "Forgive me for not fighting with honor," she said pulling the trigger. His head jerked back as he collapsed to the ground.

Sin stopped in front of the massive doors, it was thick and heavily reinforced as her eyes went from the top down to the control panel, a red light blinking indicating the door was locked from the inside rather than the outside as she reached out to touch the panel. Her fingers brushing along buttons as her eyes lit upon the damage that the door sustained, as if something was beating against it trying to get into the room beyond when she heard a sound coming, her senses noticing the slight rasp of metal dragging upon cement as the unclean crusader came into view, his red armor an insult to her and she physically staggered seeing the armor as her hand reached up to touch her own. Though her shock was replaced by a new feeling, a seething heat that burnt away the muggy feeling as she had up to now only went on autopilot. Her hand gripping her sword hilt till her hand hurt within her black gauntlet before charging, "I will not FAIL!!!", that melody that was lost returning but it was now a clarion call, yet even as she prepared to attack the approaching unclean crusader her attention was wrenched towards Dominique, in time to see her thrown to the ground as the unclean that threw her charged towards Sin.
For a moment Sin was caught, her new feeling of heat was warring with an ice cold pit in her stomach seeing Dominique struggle to her feet, the blades of several unclean aimed towards her. The one charging her neared as she brought out her Vector, though the sound of Dominique's weapon discharging was a single powerful boom Sin's was like a sudden series of small explosions within the corridor as the bullets slammed stitched indents up along the charging unclean's armor before his face vanished beneath the concentrated rounds reducing it to mess of bloody tissue as the body fell forward t slide at a stop at her feet.
Vaulting the body, holstering her Vector as she ran towards Dominique her hand reaching out to grasp the woman by the collar of her neck as her foe fell to the ground, "Forgive me...I must..", her voice soft as she used her strength to propel Dominique towards the double doors, even as Dominique was sent sliding towards the doors, Sin was already yelling, "Escape...", catching sudden movement to her at her side she brought her sword up, her blade catching the blade of the other and with a twist of her wrist the unclean crusader's blade slid down the length of her blade bleeding out its power till it struck the hilt of her own. Though the power bled out enough Sin still felt the impact up the length of her arm as she took out her Vector and again, sliding forward she brought her vector up behind the sword guard till the muzzle was jammed against the unclean crusader's jaw before unleashing a burst. Even as her foe began to fall, she placed her foot against the dead body sending it into the other two approaching enemies, sending them tumbling.
Bringing up her Vector to bear to finish the downed unclean, her eyes widen in surprise when something lashed out of the darkness before latching onto her shoulder, a cry escaping her as she felt the hand grip crushing the metal of her armor into her skin as she was bodily yanked through the air before being thrown against a wall. Through her armor took the brunt of the impact she still fell to her hands and knees as her vector skidded into the darkness but she somehow managed kept a hold of her sword. Rolling to her right as she caught a brief flash of movement, the impact and the feel of shards of granite peppering her black armor, small pieces turned into projectiles cutting into her flesh as she rolled into a crouch, her sword held out before her through she was still dizzy from the impact and lacking breath as her eyes caught the sight of a monster.
It was dressed in black armor, through it now hung of what was once a woman who now had one deformed arm and one long one which was stuck quivering within the wall. For a moment her nearly broke seeing the black armor, almost like standing before a dark pit that led into eternal darkness. Yet, when the monster pulled on its long arm the resulting sound of the wall nearly crumbling snapped her back to the fight as the arm seemed to sling shot back towards the monster in a blink of an eye. Stumbling to her feet, she barely had time to jump to the right as the limb came rocketing towards her, and almost being hit by it on its return when she stumbled to the side her balance still off from the impact off before saved her. Leaning against the wall, one arm propped against it as she held her sword loosely in one hand as she eyed the monster, how the muscles in the shoulders seemed to bulge, a memory of sparing with Lust coming to mind as she pushed off from the wall just as the monster sent its hand rocketing through the air, her blade flashing, an inhuman scream. With another scream it launched its attack again, yet Sin side stepped and dragged the edge of her blade along the length of its limb before ducking and rolling to score another long gash along its arm as it brought its limb back.
Though Sin barely dodged the body of the unclean Crusader Dominique killed, or when the monster brought the body back which slammed into Sin's back before she could recover sending her sword flying into the darkness. Yet before she even fell she fell a pressure wrap around her neck before feeling herself shoved against a wall. Her hands reaching up to try to pry the large hand from her neck, yet knowing she would lose as the pressure increased.
She was only saved when a spear burst through the monster's chest, causing to drop a gasping Sin to the ground.

Dominique was taken by surprise when Sin threw her toward the door telling her to escape. She could if she wanted to, but she couldn't either because she wasn't going to leave Sin. She climbed to her feet only stop in a kneeling position at the creature that attached her. The armor barley noticeable through the transformation, but the color was evident. The creature reminded her of something else, something that didn't happen but a day or so ago. Her eyes widening as she remembered the Bow in the woods that attacked her. That night she wanted to forget in so many ways, but remember Sin. All those creatures must have come from this facility and worked their way down.
She had to push the thought away in order to help Sin, but as soon as she was on her feet the creature roared in pain as a spear pierced it's chest. It dropped Sin turning to face the individual who had attacked it. Beyond the creature was another Black armored Crusader, but she found it strange that her eyes were closed. Even though her eyes seemed closed she stood back at a distance with two semi automatic uzi's drawn out. The Bow roared at the Crusader before moving toward her. Without hesitation she open fired on the bow forcing it to step back. Each round denting it's armor, but not piercing it.
As the creature swung at her she seemed to move in fluid motion like her body was water. She danced slightly as her body continued to doge the attacks until she had managed to pull herself away to fire upon the creature again. Aiming her weapon higher than the last time the bullets hitting their mark where the armor was the weakest or didn't have any. The creature tried to advance before collapsing to the ground. She moved to retrieve her spear from the creature, and to make sure it wasn't getting up again.
Dominique had to shake the thought away as she moved toward Sin. Finding that she was relatively fine she let out a sigh of relief. "Sin are you alright?" she asked as she knelt down by her side. "Thank you for saving me again," she said with a grin. She had noticed that Sin had lost the sword she had picked up earlier. She reached out and handed her sword to Sin, seeing the look of confusion she smiled. "It's a gift. I've had it for over 10 years. A gift from my father, built light but strong. It's made to withstand attacks from a Crusader's weapon." She paused before looking back at the woman, and the fallen creature. "Its said to have a special cut blade that if it has the proper strength to support it that it can cut through the armor of a Crusader." She looked back at Sin.
"We shouldn't stay out here," the woman finally spoke up. Her words were almost a whisper kind of like she was waking up out of a sleep. "The others are around the corner."
"Who are you, and how can you fight with your eyes closed?"
She turned to look at Dominique her eyes never opening. "My name is Sloth. An my eyes maybe closed, but I can see more than you ever could." She turned to walk down the hall she had come from earlier.
Dominique blinked for a moment before looking at Sin. "Is your entire team like this?"
