Dominique removed her locket from around her neck. Opening it up to reveal another hidden compartment. She had become accustom to hidden compartments the longer she stayed under her father. Instead of downloading the numbers onto a disc she wrote them down as small as she could. It would take someone with a good eye to read it, but she got what she needed. Folding the paper up she placed it in the locket and shut it. Turning the computer off she put the locket back on and moved around the desk. For the first time she was able to get a good look at her father’s office, and she noticed that he had pictures of him and he mother, but none of her. There were a couple were she would have been in, but he seemed to have taken the time to remove her from the picture. It was all dishearten, and showed that he really hated her that much. She sighed as she moved to leave the room only to notice something in the corner. An armor holding an elegant bow, but she recognized that bow. The priest had given it to her mother when she was younger. She could remember the arrow heads being interchanagble with various other items. One she seemed to enjoy was an explosive round, and even Richard seemed to like that one.
She shook her head as she made her way out of the office, and back toward the Seraph’s quarters. She believed it was about time grab Sin and take off. She couldn’t keep Sin here much longer there was just too much risk, and she wasn’t about ready to lose her to that mad man. She passed Shasha again in the hallway, but the look in her eyes wasn’t one of comfort. They didn’t speak, but her eyes shifted back toward the Crusaders area. Dominique didn’t like that at all, and her slow walk quickly turned into a run. An as soon as she hit the Crusaders area she seen the blood, and the further she got to the Seraphs quarters the less there was. She moved toward Sin’s room not finding her in the room. Stepping out she looked at the trail of blood that stopped at the end of the Crusader’s corridor. Some already starting to clean up the mess, but everything proving to be very bad news. She growled slightly as she moved back into the Templars corridor’s and headed straight for her father’s office.
“Dominique don’t do something stupid!” Shasha’s voice echoed from behind her. “She’s just a Crusader.”
“Just!” she barked as she glared at her. The look causing her to back off. Dominique took the dagger that Leon had given her and busted the keypad to Richard’s office. She wasn’t about to fool with codes at this time. She didn’t have time on her hand. She walked over to the armor holding the bow, and the arrows. She grabbed the mask that also hung on the arm of the suit. Gathering the items she made her way out into the hallway only to be confronted by several of the Templars that had pledged their loyalty to guarding the place. She held up the bow placing her hand on an arrow after a resounding click she brought it out and placed it against the bow. She felt the pain in her right hand as she held the bow tightly. “Out of my way.”
“Don’t do this,” the head Templar tried to reason. “This is treason. Treason is death!”
“Then kill Richard. The Templars belong to me. Inherited by my mother . . . not by Richard. Look it up!” she barked as she let the arrow go. As it hit the ground it exploded into a large green cloud. She put the mask on and walked through the smoke as each of the Templars within the area collapsed as they passed out. She stopped at the end of the hall where Shasha stepped back. “They’ll sleep for a while. Where’s Richard.”
“Chambers,” she mumbled as she looked down the hall.
Dominique nodded as she made her way to the Chambers. She didn’t bother drawing an arrow as a Templar tried to interfere. Due to the length of the bow it made it easy counter the sword, and use the bow to strike the Templar in the face. She managed to kick one of the Templars through the chamber doors stopping the silent meeting. Her grand entrance wasn’t as flashy as she wanted it to be. She was actually hopping to use one of the explosive arrows, but it worked. She walked to the center of the room removing the arrow and holding it up as she aimed at Richard. “Where’s Sin?!” she barked.
“I see you are quite capable of using your right hand after that, but I do frown upon you using a bow. I did train you for close quarter combat,” he spoke as if his life wasn’t being treated by a weapon. None of the other council members spoke or moved from their spot. “Though I do see you broke into my office. How shameful of a Templar.”
“Where’s Sin?!” she barked again drawing back on the bow.
Richard shook his head. “Now now,” he waved his hand as a Red armored Crusader entered from the corner. “That wouldn’t be wise.” He turned to the Crusader. “Disarm her, but don’t kill her.”
The crusader charged forward, but Dominique didn’t hesitate. She let the arrow go striking the crusader in the chest causing him to crumple to the ground. She reached another arrow and quickly fired it at Richard, but barely missing him as it busted through the soft back of the chair and into the wall behind him. The arrows were made just like the sword she had given to Sin, and even though she knew it was from the Priest in the first place this confirmed it. She readied another arrow aiming it at Richard. “AGAIN!” she ordered. “Quite the bulls***ing. I’m done with your lies and your constant harassment and abuse of me. I will not allow you to take it out on Sin!”
“That arrow,” Richard growled as he looked at the fallen Crusader. One strike and he was down. No Templar arrow had the ability to pierce Crusaders armor. “Damn him,” he growled as he looked at Dominique. “She’s in lab 4, but you don’t know where it’s at or how to get past the combination.”
“Watch me.” She ran toward the Council members causing them to scatter, but she paid them no mind as she moved behind the curtains to their hidden room. She went straight for the drapery revealing a hidden door. She heard Richard call her name, but she completely ignored him. Moving down the stairs and into a hallway that she expected to find resistance, but there was none. She could feel her hand starting to bleed through the bandage the tighter she gripped the bow, but she tried to pay it no mind. As she reached the door she paused for a moment at the combination. It was a bio lock. Cursing slightly before she seen the vent above she quickly stripped her armor off. With a little bit of difficulty and the fact it was hard to get a grip with a bloody hand she made it into the vent. With the bow and the arrow holder in front she tightly squeezed through the small vent.
At least for the first time she was glade for her thin and small boned nature. With some fore effort she was able to break the vent loose and drop down into the lab. When she hit the ground she came up swinging taking out a doctor as he tried to stop her. She then caught sight of one man she didn’t like, and it infuriated her more that he was even in here with Sin. Firing the arrow it caught him in the shoulder and stuck into the wall. “How does that feel Doc.? If you show a little kindness to people you would be treated as well beck.” She flung the bow over her shoulder and moved to Sin. She tried patting her on the check. “Sin wake up,” she pleaded as she tried to work the restraints loose on her hands. “Come on wake up,” she pleaded as she found the restraints nearly impossible to break.
“Okay I am surprised,” Richard spoke from the control room as he looked in. “But give it up she is going to become my perfect Crusader just like the others.” It was then that she also noticed Lust and Pride. She could feel a bit of a stabbing pain in her heart as she seen Pride strapped to the bed as well. “It’s over daughter. Maybe after this . . . after Sin is fully under my control I will decide to give her back to you. Only then when I know she won’t have any influence on you.” The side door to the room opened as several Red Crusaders entered. “I guess I’m going to have to teach you a lesson again for raising a weapon at me . . . again.” He barked angrily.
Before Dominique could move to any of her daggers she was already being tackled to the ground by the Crusaders. She was dragged to her feet struggling to break free, but she was only merely human when it came to their strengths. She was forced into the control room where she was forced to her knees in front of Richard. He wasted know time in striking her hard across the face drawing blood to her lip. “You have betrayed me for the last time.” His second hit caused her to cry out. “No father should have to deal with the betrayal of a child.” His third strike caused her to spit out a mouth full of blood as she fought back tears. “Don’t cry on me now. I thought you were this strong child who could take on the world . . . take on me.” He barked. His forth strike wasn’t a slap or a back hand, but a straight out punch to the side of the head. She cried out as the Crusaders let her go where she hit the ground nearly curling up as she tried her best to fight back her tears. “Watch!” he ordered as the Crusaders once more forced her to a standing position. Though they more had to hold her up. “Soon it will be over, and I will have my perfect weapons.”

As one of the dumb slug weapons removed the arrow pinning him to the wall, the Doctor stumbled over to a large cabinet, the blood pouring from his wound before he found the pain killers. His hands shaking as he injected himself, the numbing beginning soon after as he applied a blood clotting injection as well to slow the bleeding before wrapping the wound up one handed. "Dumb b*tch...", shaking his head weakly before returning his attention towards the administration of the catalyst that would unlock the virus full potential but also keeping the three sedated weapons firmly under their control. The first subject, the male was going smoothly from the monitors that were aligned, he did not see any issues and was quite pleased with that result as he himself felt the male one was probably the ideal candidate for the advanced crusader program...though his eyes strayed to the red haired female. He had always felt something was off about that one, his eyes widening at the results-she would not be entirely under their control like the two units they lost back in that facility, it was an acceptable issue that would be resolved the more they perfected the process of course.
Finally his eyes went towards the golden haired one, and for the first time in his life within the organization he felt a pit of fear, "It can't be...no f**king way, yet....", stumbling over to the comatose woman with the golden hair, he made sure everything was hooked up yet as his eyes went to the monitor. "Virus protocol aborted, vSigma-Sin has been applied...what the f**k is vSigma-Sin, that isn't the current version, who the f**k...", yet despite the anger he tried to instill in his words, even he couldn't help to hear the tremble of fear, and it was something he couldn't blame on the drugs as he stepped back from the comatose woman. Someone had already...no the virus was still inactive...it wasn't activating because someone changed the coding with another version...their version was useless now.
Turning towards one of the red armored crusaders Richard had left, "Crusader eliminate this woman at once...", his eyes widening as an appendage speared the female crusader before she could even moved, her body crumpling to the ground as the Doctor twisted his head, eventually his head fell to the ground as his eyes filled with surprise.
"Tsk...tsk...that would have been quite preemptive of you doctor eliminating such a creature...no...no one is ever allowed to eliminate such a divine creature...", with a faint smile, Lust slid off the side of the bed, her red hair shining as she felt the surging of power that now coursed through her body. It was quite..physically pleasurable as she reclined enjoying the tingling feeling that swept through out her entire body. Yet, as her tail slid along the bed, she would have to get use to that new appendage of course, as her eyes drifted over towards the bodies and the growing pools of blood she found it would be quite an asset to have.
"Now, yets see how Pride is doing first before checking on my lovely Sin...", sliding off the bed, her tail moving lazily in the air, she would have to figure out why it was scaly since she would have preferred it being furry, but oh well she thought to herself as she drifted over to Pride. "I see loyal Pride is going through this quite well...I believe..and of course as always...he has taken to it quite well...oh my...", her last words a squeak as Pride opened his eyes, the brown eyes he once boasted now green with feline like pupils as he stared up towards Lust before sitting straight up, giving a slight grunt at seeing the bodies, "Apparently...I am the only one that seems to be still within their control sister...", there was no sadness, only a statement of fact as he slid off the bed, eyeing Lust's new scaly tail before making his way to Sin's bed.
"Apparently...Sin is the only one still truly free...", his eyes glancing towards Lust's, "Though you do have a bit more leeway than myself...", falling silent before he started unhooking Sin, he still was ordered to bring at least Sin to Richard for demostration of his new weapons infront of his daughter, "I take it you won't be joining us Lust.", once more it was a statement than a question.
Sliding up beside Pride, her tail twitching, "I do loath that old man...and though eventually I will have to take his orders I am free to decide upon how long before I must...and of course I must have my fun first.", with a playful laugh Lust leaned over Sin before letting her lips grace her forward before straightening up, "Due give Dominique my regards...", with that Lust left the room, careful to avoid the pools of blood.
Holding Sin tenderly, Pride stared at her before shaking his head, "I feel, I will not enjoy the coming storm...", with that he left the room with its bodies.

Dominique struggled against her binds as Richard had removed the Crusaders for another task to come. She sat bound to one of the Council member’s chairs and she found it rather funny at how comfortable the chair was giving the situation. Her mouth was still bleeding from the hits and her head still throbbed, and she growled at the fact that Richard sat beside her. She tested her hands against the arm and the ropes that bound them to the chair. Rolling her eyes at the fact she couldn’t manipulate her hands enough to get her hidden daggers out without cutting herself. It would have to be a last resort because as it stood her right hand was bleeding again and she wondered if she had ripped it open again. She looked at where her armor now sat with the bow and arrow holder leading against it along with the dagger that Leon had given her. Richard stood up as the door to the hidden room in the back opened up revealing Pride carrying Sin into the room. At that time the front of the room opened up as several Red Armored Crusaders entered into the room. Dominique tried to shift to see what was going on, but her eyes grew wide at the site of Pride.
His eyes caught her by surprise and even sent chills down her spine. An yet she could also see the same Pride she had met. The loyal individual to Richard, but the one who knew the truth behind everything. An like before he gently carried Sin as if she meant something to him, and from the way he looked at her she knew she did. She just wished that Pride was as free as Sin could be, but even know she wondered if Sin would ever be free again. She fought back tears through her own pain as she watched Pride lay Sin down in the center of the room. She wanted to so badly go running toward Sin and try to wake her up. She knew that whatever Richard had done to her she would try her best to free her again even if it cost her life. Sin was an Angel and didn’t deserve to be treated as a monster. Struggling against the restraints she felt Richard’s hand on her shoulder.
“Calm down my dear. I just want to show you the loyalty our Crusader will have. No more will you have to worry about having to punish her or anyone having to punish her. No more will you have to worry about anyone manipulating you. She will be your guard like a true Crusader.”
“They aren’t true Crusaders. You manipulate them, twist them, and turn them,” she barked as she looked at Pride. “I can see it in Pride’s eyes. What have you done to him? What have you done to them?”
“I made them better . . . I made them true Crusaders . . . pure Crusaders.”
“You haven’t done anything, but manipulated them,” she cried as she felt his hand grip her shoulder tighter. “You’re trying to play God.” She cried out as he struck her across the face once more. He turned to face her and she couldn’t help but grin. “God will see that you fall. You are no holy man.”
“Enough!” Richard gripped her jaw tightly and slammed her head against the back of the seat. He tightened his hand on her jaw causing her to start crying. “Now that sounds better. The little whimpering brat I had to bring up in this world.” He shook his head as he took a cloth piece and tied it around her mouth to gag her. “Keep crying for daddy. I miss those days when you whimpered.” He turned around and sat back down in his seat. “Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way. Why don’t we wake her and find out exactly what she is capable of doing.”

Pride remained where he stood, his eyes impassive as he watched the Head Templar's actions against Sin's Templar, though he would have stopped it if he could he also knew that he could not deny what has been done to him, more the pity he thought as he watched as several red armored crusaders attempted to rouse Sin. Pride despite himself couldn't help feel a touch of curiousity, a strange feeling for him of course it could have been the effects of the catalyst he was given that had released some of his pent up emotions, and again the irony of that idea was now that he was truly within their grasp as he watched Sin stir...his hand gripping his sword.
Sin please wake up, come on wake up.., Sin desperately wanted to obey Dominique, and yet she couldn't wake up as she was left within darkness. All around her was darkness, and yet she could hear...the sounds of a struggle, Dominique's voice and that of her father and Sin felt fear for Dominique as she was unable to come to her side. Then Dominique's voice faded, and for at time silence then the mumbling of the oath breaker, an order to eliminate a woman...was he talking about her, and again Sin felt a sudden urge to do something. Yet, she couldn't and it made her feel worse, like something was trying to break out, it was suffocating her as she struggled to wake up fear for Dominique growing every second as she heard Lust, that voice she had never heard Lust speak like that and it made that feeling grow stronger...and in time she lost herself in the fear...mixed with a need to be by Dominique's side...and then Sin felt no more.
Richard looked on with some annoyance, Waking up one of these weapons should take so long...and..., annoyance flaring upon his face when he caught sight of that damnable wooden cross, mocking him...always mocking him that man that cross represented, and with a twisted smile Richard thought happily of what was happening as his eyes drifted from Sin to Dominique, in the end he would be able to mock that man. If that damnable weapon...I will be damned if that piece of garbage is a defective subject considering..., though as he refocused his attention towards Sin he was quite pleased to see that the prodding of the red armored crusaders had succeeded.
"As you can see "Daughter", this crusader shall be the ideal friend for you and whats more you have chosen her just for you.", Richard was feeling quite pleased, as the blue eyes of the Crusader opened, free of those pesky shadows. With a faint smile he nodded towards one of the Red Armored ones to hand Sin's sword back to her, "Now Sin0048D042, what is your prime directive...", with a smug smile, knowing that all crusader's prime objective would to follow any order given to him, it would be quite an enjoyment when he ordered this particular one to become Dominique's friend...oh yes, it would make the past few days worth it to see Dominique's crestfallen look.
A moment passed before that almost musical voice spoke, and though Richard didn't much like the notes of the voice he found it pleasant to listen anyhow, of course his face grew stormy when he heard, "Lady Templar Dominique Lawerence, I am her weapon and shield as my oath has dictated me to be thusly.", of course after awhile he thought it was still an order he would give, perhaps it was only a fluke as he turned to look towards Dominique, and her look was satisfying at least. Yet, as his eyes turned to refocus upon Sin he found that damnable cross hanging around her neck, well since she now listens to me, "Sin0048D042 I order you to destroy that piece of wood now.", smiling and yet it collapsed when Sin returned, "No, it was given by Simon....", with a growl he stalked up towards Sin his hand snagging the cross and pulling, the chain not breaking but with a crack the wood shattered, "When I give an order you damn well follow them..", as he reached back and threw, the cross sailing in the air before falling into the fire that he still had burning within the fireplace.
The sudden clash of steel upon steel made him twist around, Pride's massive sword, a crack sprouting from where Sin's sword was pushing against it, What is going on..., as events spiraled out of his control.
With one push, Sin shattered Pride's massive weapon, the action surprising Pride though he was able to use the remains of his weapon to push Sin's weapon of kilter, so the swing that would have severed Richard's neck from his head instead went wide as Pride pushed Richard behind him. Head Templar must be eliminated...corrupt, unclean..., Sin's thoughts as Pride kicked out, the blow catching her in her stomach as she bent forward before being sent flying across the room. Yet despite the impact she landed on her feet, her hand still gripping her sword as the assembled red armored crusaders began their attack, Pride guarding the head Templar with his broken weapon, though it was still quite dangerous in his hands.
Lifting her head, her eyes glowing a brilliant blue, only blue as she moved beyond the ability of her foes to react as her blade slashes once, the arm of one falling away, another slash and the head of another came rolling off. Her body dodging the thrust of one before the hilt of her blade came crashing into that crusader's face, bone shattering and blood spurting into the air as the crusader collapsed. Moving forward quickly she reached out wrapping her free hand around the windpipe of that crusader, and in seconds a loud snap echoed throughout the room as the body went limp before she tossed it one handed into two others, the trio going sprawling. With her attack path cleared Sin moved once more against Pride, attacking with a fury of slashes and lunges, Pride blocking with his ruined weapon, shards of his blade falling with each impact, twisting left and to the right to avoid her lunges.
Pride had never seen this Sin before, her attacks and patterns were different as he blocked an overhanded slice that would have cut through his armor with the stump of his massive blade. The impact causing a tremble to shake Pride's body, of course he didn't see Sin's next attack as he felt her foot connect to his gut sending him sprawling backwards. The changes to his body having weakening him that he was out of breath as Sin moved on to Richard.
His eyes wide, this couldn't be happening as he watched his last defender fall to this...to this...Richard had no words to describe what he felt as he drew his sword, blocking the attack just barely and yet the force of the blow nearly caused him to loose the grip on his sword as Sin pushed him onto the defensive. Now he wasn't no mean swordsman, most of the crusaders were actually trained in his style since he believed he was the ideal example. Yet, now he found he was being pushed back, his blade barely keeping itself between the blade of this monster severing some part of him as he was pushed back wards. Unlike Pride, Richard was blocking in such a way that most of Sin's force was bleeding out as her blade slid down his own blade, and yet even doing that Richard felt the impacts of the blade to the depths of his bones. Though he might have stood up against her and probably bested her in his youth, age had weakened him as he felt back even more.
Of course, as their blades met one more time Richard leaned his head forward, the spit hitting Sin in one of her glowing blue eyes, a feature Richard would have to discuss with the doctor when they did the autopsy as the action made Sin fall to one knee. With a triumphant smile, though he would have preferred a slave, he would at least get some enjoyment as Dominique watched him behead her precious crusader lover. It came as a surprise when Sin's hand shot out, her grip catching his wrist before he felt the bones break as Sin regained her feet. Increasing the pressure of her grip, the pain causing Richard to drop his weapon as Sin let go before grabbing a hold of his neck. This couldn't be happening, he was in control...and yet as his eyes looked deeply into those glowing blue eyes he realized what true control was, No hatred....no malice...just duty...pure...duty....she is...a...perfect...weapon..., feeling the lack of air just before he felt the cold steel slide into his body, but by then he felt nothing but an urge to have this weapon, he didn't even feel the blade drawn from his body or being dropped to the ground like garbage, as he lost consciousness.
Standing over the feebly breathing man, Sin turned away from the man before making her way towards Dominique, her sword dripping the blood of those she slain as she stood before Dominique, her glowing blue eyes focusing upon her, "Your command Lady Templar.", that musical voice, as she knelt before the still strapped in Dominique.

Dominique struggled against her binds as she watched the Red Crusaders trying their best to wake up Sin, but she wasn’t waking up. She prayed hard that Richard hadn’t done something to harm her friend to the point she couldn’t help in some way. But the moment that Sin did wake up she could feel her heart sink as she looked into those bright blue eyes. This wasn’t her Sin . . . the Sin that she was fighting so hard to free. As she fought back her tears as she watched the sword being handed back to Sin she couldn’t help but feel despair as she had failed Sin. She had failed her promise to herself never to let her father get his hands on her and hurt her. Dominique hung her head in defeat for the first time since she had come across Sin. So many times she had failed her friend, and the last moment was the worse. Sin was no longer a creature of free will and emotions like she was before, regardless of how much she struggled with herself. She felt her hair stand on the back of her neck when Richard asked Sin her purpose.
The answer that was given shocked her to the point she looked up at Sin. It wasn’t the oath that the Crusaders were taught to recite. It was another oath . . . a promise that showed that her Sin was still in her. The fact that she denied an order from Richard to get rid of the cross made her smile despite the pain in her jaw or the gag. Though as Richard approached her she struggled against her bindings even more. She knew what he was going after, and she was helpless to stop him this time. She watched as he pulled the cross from Sin finding that the chain remained in place, and threw it into the fire. Dominique wasn’t expecting what happened next. The pure strength behind Sin’s attack as it connected with Pride’s sword, and then the shattering of the blade. She knew the sword was built to cut through Crusaders’ armor when it was held in the right hand, but she never thought it would go through a sword let alone Pride’s sword.
Sin continued her relentless assault after being pushed back once. Where she noticed the fatigue in Pride from whatever was done to them Sin wasn’t showing it. She struggled more against her binding this time trying to maneuver her hidden dagger on her right wrist. With the position of her hands she knew she would cut it again, but instead of hurting a new hand she figured she would just stick with her bad hand. She stopped when she heard the shuffling of feet as the Council Members quickly left the chamber for their own safety. She sighed and shook her head as she looked up at Sin. She fought differently than before. She had more strength and precision in her weapon as she attacked. She knew Sin was weak with a sword, but she couldn’t tell now. It seemed that Sin and the sword worked as if they were one. It was a feeling of pride and yet overwhelming fear as she watched her attack Pride again. But this time he was taken down in almost a single move. Then she went after Richard. She knew she had attacked Richard before, but doubted that it would have been anywhere near this level.
Then with a low blow by Richard she found Sin on her knees. She struggled with the blade again trying to get it to where she could free her hand. She couldn’t let Richard take Sin away from her. She wasn’t going to let him hurt Sin, but she wasn’t moving fast enough. She found herself crying as she struggled against the rope, but as she looked up in fear that she would watch the end of her friend. She in fact seen the opposite as Sin gained the upper hand and quickly ran her blade through Richard. She felt her heart stop at the site in front of her. She knew she opposed her father, and her own attacks were out to kill as he had taught her. But the fact as she watched his body crumple to the floor mixed her feelings with satification and pain. She knew what he had done to her, and better yet what he had done to the others. An yet he was still her father and the man who raised her.
She looked at Sin as she knelt down in front of her and asked her for her orders. Maybe it was the fact she was still bound and gagged, but she couldn’t help but laugh. Something she needed considering her troubled mind as she looked at her father. She happened to look up at the Chamber doors as one of them opened. Shasha standing at the door paled faced as she looked over the scene in front of her. She looked at Pride who didn’t seem to notice her. Dominique caught Shasha’s attention as she tried to enter the room. She quickly shook her head and motioned for her to back out of the room. As the door shut she went back to working on the blade feeling it cut across her palm as she shifted it toward the rope. With a quick work of the rope she moved to free her other hand and legs. Removing the gag she looked at Sin with surprise as she remained kneeling as she waited for her order.
“We’re leaving,” she said as she moved over to her armor. Though she left it forgotten as she gathered up her weapons she looked down at Pride. “I’m sorry,” she said lightly before she walked over to Richard and knelt down beside him. “I’m sorry father,” she said lightly as she placed her hand on his shoulder. “I’m so sorry.”
“Y- you . . . . will . . . . suffer for this,” Richard managed to choke out. The fact that he was still breathing had shocked her, but that he was able to talk even more. “I . . . will not . . . let him . . . win.”
Dominique tilted her head slightly at his last stamen but couldn’t wait as she heard the knock on the doors. She ran to Sin and grabbed her hand. “We move now,” she said as she pushed open the door. She turned to look at Shasha standing at the door. “He’s done something to Sin,” she said as she looked back at her.
“I care less about her . . . look at you,” she said with a bit of worry. “Serga will flip out if he sees you li . . .”
“Stop,” Dominique said with a bit of pain. She looked back at Sin and then back to Shasha. “Can he help her?”
“Probably not soon enough. Find Leon. He’ll know what to do. Now go before the security and medical team gets here. I just called them.”
Dominique nodded as she dragged Sin down the hall toward the Seraph’s area. This time she was after Sin’s armor. They were going to leave this place, and she knew with what was going to follow Sin would need her armor. As she entered into the area she looked at Sin before looking down the hall. “Go put on your armor.” She watched as Sin made her way to her room. In that time she found a piece of cloth and wrapped her right hand once more. She opened the door that lead back outside of the area and stood guard knowing well enough that the security team would be sent on a search and destroy mission with the two of them. She still couldn’t help but shutter at the fact that Richard could possibly die. The man she should have loved, but also the man who should have loved in in return.
She shook that thought aside as she seen several Templars making their way toward them. Shasha unfortunately in the lead probably put there to test her loyalty. So she would make it easy on her, and this first wave of individuals. Reading the arrow she fired it short of Shasha’s foot the arrow exploding as a green mist filed the air. The group within its vicinity quickly passing out, but as her eyes drifted along the mist she was nearly caught off guard from a Templar attacking from her right. She used the bow to block the attack before swinging it against his head. Not only hitting him in the head, but causing him to hit his head against the wall. She didn’t wait to see if he had been knocked out as she brought her bow back to strike another Templar in the stomach. As he doubled over she struck him in the head knocking him out. She dared a glance back to the Seraph’s area hoping that Sin was almost done putting her armor on.
Looking up she could see a group of Red Crusaders making their way down a hallway weapons drawn. She felt herself stiffen at the thought that it had gone that far, but with Richard out of the picture there was nothing holding anyone back. Her risk had always been mild with the only threat of bodily harm. Richard had always seen that her life was never truly at risk, but with him down and probably gone because of the wound. The rest of the Council and Templars didn’t have to hold back their attacks, and this meant to her that treason actually meant death. She swallowed the thought as she readied another arrow firing it just above the crusaders. It exploded, but unlike the sleeping gas this was an actual explosion that rocked the facility. The roof above the Crusaders caving in blocking the attack and any future attacks from that corridor. This had bought her just a little bit of time.
“Sin hurry up,” she called back to the room.

With her orders given, Sin moved with Dominique her hand never straying from her sword till they arrived at the Seraph area. Those glowing blue eyes peering straight ahead and as Dominique gave her order to attain her armor Sin nodded before opening the door and sliding in, her eyes sweeping the room before falling upon her armor still resting upon the stand, the black metal gleaming in the light that now lit the room. Without hesitating Sin put on the chest plate, forgoing the shoulder protectors but taking the forearm protectors and slim gauntlets, though as she straightened from lacing the shin guards her eyes fell upon a jar of licorice and for a moment the weapon that was Sin remained still, the glow from her eyes flickering as she moved forward. She wasn't ordered to, yet Sin reached forward deftly opening the jar one handed before pulling out a piece of black candy, and in moments as she popped the candy into her mouth a faint smile curved her lips before reaching towards a bag, closing the lid before dropping the jar into the bag. With one final look Sin turned and left the room.
Despite her earlier dismissal of following the order, Lust felt eventually compelled towards the council chambers-luckily she arrived moments after Dominique and Sin left or she might of been forced to harm those two, though she was planning on harming Dominique in a way but a far more pleasurable method as she strode through the double doors. For the first time in her life, Lust had a surprise look as her eyes took in the crumpled bodies of the inferior crusaders, and giving the living Richard a dismissive look before turning her gaze towards Pride, a slight look of worry replacing the contempt she aimed towards Richard. With just a few steps she was by Pride's side, her tail swinging lazily upon the ground as she looked him over, a smile creeping along her lips upon realizing he was still awake just out of breath-a condition she never saw Pride in before.
"Tsk, tsk..Pride did our sweet little Dominique do all this just to rescue a doll...of course a quite a special doll, I wouldn't expect a simple human capable of knocking you on your ass so easily.", smiling playfully as she helped Pride up to his feet, though he was gaining strength in leaps and bounds as he lifted up the remenants of his shattered blade before tossing it from him, "It wasn't the Lady Templar but Sin who left me in such a state.", as the two spoke the other members of the council appeared, several going over to Richard before yelling for a medic as Pride looked down upon the floor and his gaze fell upon Richard's dropped weapon, though it did not equal the size of his original after hefting he found he quite like the feel of it before turning towards Lust.
"We must secure Sin and Dominique, since our orders of capturing Sin has not be changed that is our objective now.", with that Pride secured his new blade before heading out of the room, not caring of the commotion behind him, he only cared about completing his objective.
With a faint smile, her eyes looking towards the mass of people surrounding Richard before following Pride, her tail swinging along in the air.
Moving from the door to her room, Sin walked up towards Dominique, her hand upon the hilt of her blade as she knelt at her side, "Your orders Lady Templar.", though if Dominique looked closely, and listened carefully a faint return of the musical voice that she fell in love with was beginning to return, it was weak but it was there, and the glow from her eyes seemed dimmer. Yet, before Dominique could answer a sudden crash echoed throughout the corridor, the rubble of the cave in Dominique causes started to smoke, the dust filling that end of the corridor. Before the smoke cleared a beastly form emerged, a being that easily would have towered over Pride, its head nearly brushing the high ceilings of the corridor. Within its hand was clutched Dominique's father sword, "Sin, we shall capture you.", despite the form, the familiar thunder of Pride's voice issued from the beast's mouth as he moved within an instant, his sword a blur as it rang against Sin's hastily drawn sword, yet the impact and momentum sent Sin flying through the air down the corridor with Pride vanishing after her.
Yet, before Dominique could react and come to the aid of Sin, she felt something strong and scaly wrap around her waist, it pulling before twisting her around as from the smoke of the rubble stepped Lust's form, the appendage holding Dominique attached to Lust as she drew her twin daggers, a smile trailing her lips as she noticed something upon Dominique, "I was wondering where ever that dagger vanished too...now I know, mmmm...while Pride plays with Sin it appears we get to become quite personal with each other...oh yes...quite personal...", with a flick of her tail she sent Dominique spinning, the bow falling from her hands as Lust seemed to vanish before appearing before Dominique, her daggers gleaming in the light.
Sailing through the air, Sin stabbed her sword out, the point slicing into the wall, breaking her momentum till she stopped before drawing her blade from the wall, yet bringing up the blade as she caught Pride's overhanded sweep that slammed Sin against the wall. Gritting her teeth she jumped backwards as Pride drew back his blade, his feline like eyes matching his new beastly face as Sin held up her blade, even with herself as she was, Pride knew that he was stronger than her as they started trading blows, his hammering upon Sin's defenses till they broke. With a lunge he grabbed Sin by her chest plate before twisting and tossing her bodily through the air the way they came.
Lust meanwhile had been toying with Dominique, using her tail's length to keep her bow out of reach by sending it sliding along the floor, her daggers flashing in the air, pressing Dominique backwards, putting stress upon Dominique's side with her wounded hand. Each time Dominique would defend with that hand, Lust could see the pain, the winces. Yet, even though Lust had the advantage she suddenly retreated, jumping to the side as she pressed herself against the wall.
Dominique would realize what was happening, as Sin's armored bulk crashed into her sending the two tumbling the ground. Pride walking up beside Lust as the two prepared to finish their mission, yet from the dust of the rubble appeared a silver flash, Lust's face filling with surprise as a creature launched itself at her, blades where its arms should be, with a grin Sloth launched into a fury of slashes and lunges, her arms now weapons as she pushed Lust back who was using both her daggers and her tail to block the rush of attacks. Yet as Pride registered the new assailant, Wrath strode into view, his war hammer ready as he launched himself at Pride, yet missing as Pride dodged before bringing his weapon down upon Wrath's exposed back, sparks flying before the blade bounced back, it was then from the light of the hall that everyone could see that Wrath was now covered in hardened gray scales as he swung his war hammer again.
Yet before Sin could join the attack, her dimly glowing blue eyes flaring for a moment seeing these creatures, she felt a prick upon her neck as her body collapsed. "f**k heaven, f**k hell...if I knew what would have gone down...f**k it...", holstering the gun that he used to shoot Sin with, Leon rushed towards Dominique who was picking herself up off the ground, his eyes watching the progress of the battle between the four crusaders, "Templar b*tch...get your ass and Sin's out of here...oh yeah, I brought some of Serga's guys to help you with Sin...but god damn...", unslinging his assault rifle, Leon got up and dashed after the battling crusaders, yet though they were no longer seen Dominique could hear the crashes, the yelling and the tremors echoing from down the hall.
From the cloud of dust from the rubble, two red armored crusaders appeared, upon their breast plates was a crimson feather as the stooped and picked up Sin, a third one appearing before walking towards Dominique, "Serga requests you follow us.", with that the three started moving away, Sin's passed out body held up by two of them, and Domnique knowing there was no other choice had to follow.

Dominique felt her heart skip a beat when she seen the feline creature burst through the rubble. The voice evident that it was Pride, and now his body resembled the feline eyes that he had back in the chambers. Though as the tail wrapped around her she was taken by surprise, and even more so when she seen it was Lust. She wasn’t human anymore, or at least part of her wasn’t. The tail that wrapped around her waist held her tightly. The reptilian tail though an obvious transformation from the altercations to her virus was more evident than Pride’s, but she couldn’t help but marvel how they took on a form more akin to their personality. Pride; so strong, fierce, and calculating with a brilliant eye and brain just like the feline eyes he carried, and Lust; more seductive, venomous, and quick to attack just like the serpent. Though if this was just a form an altercation to the virus she feared what their true form would look like or their strength. She looked at Sin not really seeing any of the altercations to her body. She remained to be the perfect Angel she had found in the woods not too long ago. The only difference was the eyes they were far brighter than before, but more set with what she knew she had to do. More set to the Crusader who should follow orders without question, than the Sin who followed her instincts and questioned who she truly was.
She couldn’t help Sin if she couldn’t help herself, but as she used the dagger to defend herself she found that Lust was remaining on her right side. That had left her with no choice but to use her right hand, and the pain that coursed through her arm as she blocked the attacks. She knew Lust was playing with her. What Crusader wouldn’t play with her considering that no human stood a chance, but she knew she could if she could only get to her bow. Though it seemed that Lust noticed that as well as she kept pushing her away from the weapon. The remaining Templars in the area quickly vacated trying to see shelter over the fight between Sin and Pride. Though as Lust jumped out of the way she wasn’t expecting the forceful hit that toppled her to the ground. She gasped slightly as she felt the dagger slip from her hand. She cursed as she looked at Sin before reaching for one of her throwing knives knowing that they would probably be more of an annoyance to the two. The flash of silver caught her eyes before she actually seen the slender form of Sloth, but it didn’t look like her. Though her form seemed strong and fast a good form for Sloth, but from what she could remember Sloth was more of a distance fighter.
She couldn’t help but watch as Sloth took Lust off into another hall her bladed arm cutting through the wall like it was butter. Her attention quickly changed to Wrath at the sound of metal grinding. Both Sloth and Wrath seemed to control this transformation, and she couldn’t help but wonder if Richard had done this to them or someone else. She couldn’t remember seeing any known defects in them, but she could have met them after the altercation. She looked up at Sin as she was about to go help Sloth, but quickly collapsed to the ground. She looked up in worry as Leon approached holstering a weapon. She looked at Sin with confusion, but before she could speak Leon was already talking. A crashing sound brought her attention back toward a wall as Pride and Wrath tumbled through it. Part of the ceiling started to cave in as Wrath pushed Pride back, but their attack was separated as Sloth stepped in between them to attack Lust. An when she was past they attacked again. Their fighting moving down a hall and out of sight, but the damage to the area was more than evident.
She looked up at the Red Crusaders that approached, and if it wasn’t for the feathers she would only suspect the worse. As they gathered up Sin she gathered up her dagger and bow, and stopped for a moment to pick up the bag that Sin had brought out with her. For once she agreed with Leon, at the current moment Sin nor her could even stand up against Lust or Pride or anyone who wanted to attack from the facility. She ran after them again wondering if it was in a Crusader’s genes to walk faster than a human could run. Still she managed to keep up on occasion glancing back down the hall toward one of the bunkers. From their they made their way above ground where a group of Red armor Crusaders were waiting for them, but at the head stood Serga. For once she felt a weight lifted off her shoulders as he helped her up. She looked around before looking back at the barracks. She couldn’t help but worry about Leon and his team, and the thought of what would happen to them if they were caught.
“They’ll be fine. Leon will pull them out before they are capture,” Serga said as he turned back to the Crusaders. “Let’s make it back to the camp. We’ll wait there for them.” He turned to look at Dominique before smiling lightly. “He’s really done a number on you this time.” He reached out to touch the side of her face, but the flinch caused him to drop his hand. “Sorry.”
Dominique glared at him before looking away. “I’m only here because of Sin. For some reason Leon seems you can help her.”
Serga shrugged as he started following the Crusaders. “I only know what I’ve been told, but I do know someone who can help the both of you.” He looked back at Dominique and smiled. “I see you’ve obtained your mothers bow.” When Dominique held it tightly to her he smiled. “It was given to your mother to give to you when you were ready. Just like the sword was given to you to give to your guardian. All things come to a close in this circle.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“You’ll find out.”
Dominique grabbed Serga by the shoulder and shoved him into the tree using the bow to press against his chest. “Stop with the bulls***. I’m tired of being manipulated and lead around like a dog on a leash. I want answers!”
Serga held his hand up to stop the Crusaders from attacking Dominique. “I can’t answer those questions. I was not told the answer to those questions.”
“Then what do you know? What have you learned all of these years . . . why have you betrayed me,” she cried. “Why did you leave me.”
Serga sighed a bit as he reached out to touch her face once more, but the moment was quickly lost as a shot echoed through the woods. Dominique and Serga parted, but him ending up on the ground grabbing his shoulder. “Damn. Templars they must have followed us,” he said as he climbed to his feet. “Keep moving. Get Sin out of here.” He drew his sword as he stood beside Dominique. “The ones that are sent out are the hard core dedicated, and know the truth. Do not hesitate to kill them.”
Dominique grinned as she readied her bow. As the first wave attacked she let the arrow go. As it struck a tree it exploded digging up roots and everyone in the vicinity. Her next several arrows were normal heads as she didn’t want to waste what she did have. When they grew close enough Serga sprang into action quickly showing off his experience with a sword. His moves more than she had seen before, and nothing that Richard had ever taught her before. When they broke past him she used the bow to strike a few before pulling her own gun from the side and firing with her left hand. When the clip ran dry she switched to her right gun and continued to fire. The group quickly thinned out were they either retreated or laid dying or dead on the ground. She stood over one of the fallen Templars glaring at the thought that they could willing follow Richard despite knowing the truth.
“Some see his way as the true way,” Serga said as he pulled Dominique in the direction of the camp. “As soon as the others get here we need to leave. There is no staying here too long,” he said as he brought her to the camp. He looked back before he motioned to two of the Crusaders. As a group of them tended to Sin he had one look at Dominique’s hand, and another tend to his shoulder.

Sin dreamt, and within her dreams she was once more back in Simon's room-though in the future it would become hers, but now it was Simon's room again and Sin was content as she watched him read from one of those books with the funny symbols she couldn't understand. The story was about Samson the strong, and it was at the start of his rise when he was unbeatable his strength given by God. Sin always enjoyed this story for she always thought Samson was the ideal character for a Crusader to follow, their strength made them unbeatable, but when they became prideful of that strength they would soon lose that strength that made them so strong. Though it was also because she enjoyed the attention Simon showed him, from how his light brown eyes would sparkle every time he looked up from the book, the way he would show his teeth seeing her looking up with such an intense expression before resuming.
"Yet, as Samson became boastful of his strength, not realizing his greatest strength was not in himself but in what his oath represented to the one who gave him that strength...and so he lost that great strength of his and he fell into ridicule.", this is where Sin would ask a question, but the memory twisted, Dominique now standing before her, "I want you in your own time to start calling me Dominique instead of Lady Templar....Crusaders are humans too, they are greater than Templars for they would give themselves to defend us....Sin you are a fallen angel trying to find her way...", the child, no she was an adult again didn't know what to say, her room fading in and out, going from when she first met Dominique in the woods, the night by the river, being given the cross.
Sin turned and ran, not knowing why she felt like she had to run but it was something she had to do as she fled her room that wasn't her room, down a hallway that wasn't a hall way as images played upon the walls. The moment she separated from her team, knowing it was the chance so they could all live, looking up at Leon and Lust, their faces twisted as Lust let go, the water that leaked from their eyes. Now it was an image of the cabin in the woods, Dominique helping her lie down, so much care in those eyes...and then it the night at the river, Dominique's head cradled in her lap. The longer she ran, the more the images came, and the more she wanted to run further till eventually she stopped to look upon one image, she standing before the Head Templar.
From behind her she heard a foot step, but yet she couldn't turn her eyes as she bared a blade against the Head Templar, nor did a voice, one so longed for spoke, "Why did Samson lose his strength Sin, was it because he told someone his hair was the link to his great strength...or...", Simon waited patiently for Sin to answer as she gazed at the image as it repeated itself.
Her voice soft, and yet because it was within her dream it seemed to echo from all over, "He didn't lose it because of that...no it was the importance, a promise....an oath that he should keep...he broke that oath and he lost that strength.", falling silent, she seemed so strong when she was defending Dominique.
"Very good Sin, now when he was ridiculed and chained...a miserable wretch...why did God return his strength to him....", Simon's voice was patient, Simon was always patient with her and waited for her to answer instead of striking her like the instructors did when she was late in answering, and for a time she was silent as she thought, the scene changing when her cross was burnt.
She didn't like that image, it felt...wrong somehow, and through the wrongness she found her answer, one she couldn't quite find when Simon was with her, though he never frowned or was angry, no he always gave her a piece of black licorice and told her that in time she would come to the answer on her own, "Because...because in humility he realized his greatest power was his oath, that his oath....was his strength. And god gave him the power to free himself and fight once more his oath restored...his strength restore...a promise kept...", tearing her gaze from the images, her eyes filled with tears as she saw Simon standing before her, his red robes, and his wooden cross that she lost.
Her voice, its music tinged with lost and forgiveness, Sin ran up to Simon her arms wrapping around him as she collapsed, unable to stop the water that leaked from her eyes, "Fa-tther...I-I failed my oath...I failed so much...for-give me...father...", falling to her kneels, Sin wept as Simon wrapped his arms around her, like he did when she was a child but then she never cried as he stroked her hair.
"Ssshh...Sssshhh...dear child, you haven't broken your oath...not at all...", as Sin wept, Simon held her within her dream, and eventually the scene faded.
The sounds of battle, the clashing of steel brought Sin to wakefulness, her blue eyes once more their clear blue, the glow having left them as she stared up at the faces of the impassive red armor crusaders who were tending to her. She was lost, her only conscious memory was being attacked by Pride and Lust, and then darkness came upon her mind. "Dominique...", her voice faint, and yet those who tended her did not answer, but eventually her gaze fell upon Dominique, and relief filled her blue eyes.

Dominique glared at Serga as he sat in front of her. Throughout the years he had grown up, and the young boy that swore to protect her so many years ago wasn’t the same one sitting in front of her now. An after a moment she had felt herself blushing. Even her thoughts from the past to now have changed in the way she seemed to view him. She shook her head and turned away. Looking at Sin as she lay sleeping. Her Angel had been tainted by her father, and she failed to stop him. She looked away from Sin allowing her eyes to glance over Serga before going to the ground. She had noticed that he caught her look and she could feel his eyes on her as she tried her best to ignore him. She felt the Crusader working on her hand finish wrapping it. She looked up before pulling her hand to her and ran her fingers along the bandage. She found herself trying her best to avoid looking at Sin or Serga, and she couldn’t understand Serga. She hated him so much for what he had done to her in the past, and yet she couldn’t help but feel herself blushing at this moment. She shook her head before resting her head in her hand.
“You can’t save everyone,” Serga spoke. He stood up to kneel in front of her. “You are strong, but Richard has more control . . . more power. What happened couldn’t have been stopped.” He reached to touch her leg in a comforting manner, but remembered the shiver he felt when he touched her face. He pulled his hand back and stood up. “You have grown up quite a lot over the years.”
Dominique glared at Serga again before turning to look at Sin. “Not her,” she said lightly. “I asked for Sin, determined to keep her as my friend and partner. I made told her I wouldn’t let anyone punish her, and I failed at that.” She looked away and shook her head. “I couldn’t do anything to stop her from being hurt many times, from suffering from whatever Richard had done to her, and then her cross . . . . I couldn’t save it again . . . it . . . it was her link to her father. I failed in saving the one thing that she held dear to her.” She covered her eyes as her elbow rested on her knee. “What Templar allows their friend to suffer so . . .”
Serga went to speak, but Dominique held up her hand when she heard her name. She heard her name, and not ‘Lady Templar.’ She looked at Serga as he nodded his head before walking away. She stood up and walked over to where Sin laid. Smiled lightly as she pulled up a chair to sit down in. She enjoyed the feeling of those clear blue eyes looking at her with so much life and yet confusion. They weren’t the eyes back at the facility the bright blue eyes that seemed set without emotion, but to follow regardless of whether they were her orders or not. As she looked at Sin she couldn’t help but think that this was her Sin . . . the Sin she had asked to be her Crusader in front of the Council, and to be her friend in the infirmary. The individual that she had asked to help make her stronger in her beliefs as a Templar, and to help clear her path as she tried to be stronger.
Though as she thought about it the more she realized that she didn’t deserve her name being spoken by such and Angelic creature, and the more that she thought about herself she knew that she didn’t deserve such a holy creature by her side. She turned around in the chair and focused on the ground as she rested her hands on her legs. Looking at her right hand she flexed her fingers feeling the pain radiate up her arm. A pain that wasn’t anywhere near what she had allowed to happen to Sin. At this moment with Sin’s eyes watching her she wanted to run and hide. She wanted to hide from her failures as a friend to Sin, as a failure as a daughter to her father, and as a failure as a Templar. She looked up at Serga as he talked to several of the Crusaders, and never bothered with a glance back at the two. Her eyes going back to the ground as she wondered about the letter he wrote in the past and how much merit it held. Did she really let him down, drive him crazy, bug and harass him to the point that he left on his own.
Dominique felt a radiating heat coming from her right hand that as it moved up her arm became a stabbing pain. She blinked a couple of times before she realized that she had her right hand balled up into a fist so tight that it had started bleeding once more. As she opened her hand back up she could see the blood soaking the bandage, and yet though the pain she couldn’t help but think about how little this was to what Sin had been through. She had taken her away from her family even if she would be able to lead she would have been able to still be with them. Her father wouldn’t have been trying to take his anger out on her, and hurt her badly. Then only to attempt to punish her by destroying something of great importance to her, and granted she was able to save her cross then. Though it wouldn’t help when he would take Sin to only destroy the cross, and she was to slow to even attempt to save it. If she wouldn’t have waited to cut her ropes she might have been able to save her cross. An then she couldn’t help but worry about what Richard had done to her in that lab. She had seen Pride and Lust and it scared her to think that Sin could actually turn into a monster. A perfect creature like Sin didn’t deserve to have her body deformed by such a form.
“Sin,” she said lightly finding that it was just a struggle to get her name out. She continued to look at the ground knowing that she had no right to even look at her right now. “I- I am so sorry,” she said struggling to come up with the right words to say. “I am so sorry I have made you suffer.” She paused as she thought through her next words. “I have failed as a Templar . . . and as a friend to you. Because of my failures I have brought you down with me. I have caused you to question your oath, and I have pulled you away from your own family.” She closed her eyes and hung her head as she rubbed the back of her neck with her left hand. “I have caused you to suffer both physically and mentally, and you have lost something of great value to you.”
Dominique went to say something again, but before she could even get anything out Serga jerked her to her feet. He looked at Sin for a moment. “I apologize, but I must speak with your Templar for a moment. Please feel free to ask any of the Crusaders here for anything. I don’t know how long it has been since you’ve eaten, but you may want to start there.” With that he dragged Dominique off into the woods and out of ear shot of the camp. “What the hell are you doing?” he barked as he let her go. “Are you really going to do this again? Okay your life sucked, but right now Sin need you more than you need to be pouring out your pity party.” He threw up his hands as he walked away from her. “Why don’t you grow up for once and accept what happens to you and deal with it? Why do you always have to make people feel sorry for you?” Dominique didn’t say there but just stood there staring at the floor. “Dominique!” he shouted. When she didn’t answer he walked over and grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. “Stop this. This isn’t the past when we were ten. This is now, the present, and were grown adults and it’s about damn time you started to act it.”
When she didn’t answer he shoved her away and started walking back to the camp. He paused as he looked back at her and paused. “That letter was a lie, but the more I deal with you know the more I’m beginning to realize that it was the truth.” He shook his head as he turned to walk back to the camp, but paused as a throwing knife stuck into the tree just in front of him. He turned to see Dominique glaring at him with her dagger out. “What?”
“What do you mean . . . it was a lie? What lie? What was so important in the past that you lied to me over a letter,” she barked. She stood there dagger in hand as she fought back her own tears. Serga couldn’t help but prove a more valid point in her failures, and one was in herself. But at the moment she wanted something else . . . . she wanted the truth. She stared at Serga as he stood in front of her his little army of Red Crusaders and Sin back at the camp so she had nothing to worry about. Still as she had threatened him and even had a weapon drawn on him he just stood there. She didn’t know if that made her mad or hurt her that he wouldn’t explain more about his statement. She couldn’t take it anymore. Rushed forward swinging, and he easily moved out of the attack. When he stood behind her she swung back only to have her dagger meet metal.
“You were never good at close quarter combat, but you are better than this,” she said as he pushed the attack away causing her to stumble back. Dominique didn’t say anything, but charged forward again. An again her attack was easily blocked. “Your anger will be your undoing.” An again he pushed her back with ease.
She hit a tree and stood for a moment. “You betrayed me!” she barked. Rushing forward she swung down, and again he easily blocked. This time it was different. She continued forward running her blade along his. She could remember the first time she had met Pride, and this same attack he had performed on Sin ran through her head though she didn’t have a sword but a dagger. Serga had to shift feeling the blade scrape along his own armor. “You promised!” she cried. “You were my freedom from that man. An yet you left me alone when I needed you the most!” She could feel the hot tears running down her check. She didn’t care as they pushed away from each other. She rushed forward and again their blades met. “I had to turn to that man for comfort, but there was none!” she screamed. He pushed her back causing her to stumble back.
Dominique just stood there staring at the ground. The dagger hung limply in her hand. “I never got to morn her,” she spoke softly. “Father would never let me not even after it happened. The night I found your letter he stood there with open arms. An for a moment I thought I had a father. When I went to him he struck me and called me a spoiled brat.” Her right hand gripped the hilt tighter, causing blood to run down the hit, and glared at him. “I never even got to see that Priest again. My life became hell!” she barked. Rushing forward she swung hard enough that he nearly dropped his sword countering her attack.
He didn’t stop there. Pushing her back he grabbed her free hand and wrapped it behind her back. As she struggled he forced her to drop the dagger. He then wrapped his arm across her neck pulling her closer. “I made a promise to protect you at all cost,” he spoke lightly. “I never broke that promise.” When she went to argue he tightened his grip causing her to cry out. “That promise was put to a test that night. I had seen something that put your life in jeopardy. Your father told me that if I was to ever tell you he would kill you.” He let her go and walked away. “So I did as he asked I wrote the note and transferred.”
“An what did you see?” she growled rubbing her shoulder. “What secret was my father so adamantly trying to hide?”
“No. You cannot control your anger now. What makes me think you can control it then?” He picked up both weapons tossing Dominique hers. “Domi. I never stopped protecting you. Staying under you father’s command I could do nothing so I left.” He smiled lightly. “I’ve always been there if you needed me. Several times I wanted to confront you about this, but your actions were always the same. Except this time I believed I could get through to you.” He looked toward the woods and smiled. “Sin has a way of opening people’s eyes without them realizing it.”
Dominique looked down at the dagger in her left hand and the blood that trailed down the hilt from when she had it in her right hand. She dropped the weapon before hitting the ground. “I’m not strong,” she found herself crying. “I was never strong . . . I am so tired of all this.”
Serga shrugged his shoulders. “Seems that you still need to grow up,” he said his gentle words becoming hard once more. “This isn’t over, and the moment you defied your father to take Sin was the moment your little world changed. Wake up little girl. You’re in the real world now.” He sheathed his sword before turning to look in the direction of the camp. “I made a promise to protect you, and that I will do. But right now I’m regretting it.” With that he made his way back to the camp. He stopped and looked at Sin for a moment. “You may want to give her some time alone.” At that he walked away from her.
Dominique looked in the direction of the camp, but she didn’t want to return. She felt lost, heartbroken, and alone. She crawled over to a tree putting her back against it, and drawing her knees to her chest. She didn’t care how much her hand hurt as she wrapped her arms around her knees at the moment she welcomed the pain, and wished there was more physical pain to hide the mental pain. Burring her head into her knees she found herself sobbing hard as she wished to have her mother back, or to even see that Priest kind smile. She wanted the comfort that a parent should provide to their child when they were hurt, but she never received it after her mother passed. She could remember long nights in her room crying herself to sleep, and then if it was to get out to Richard he would always punish her saying he would give her something to cry about. An he did in many ways. She felt so tired both mentally and physically, but she couldn’t rest. She had failed in all aspects toward being a good friend and protecting her friend from being hurt, at least maybe she could find Sin’s father. Then maybe she could hide from the world after that.

Sin was left confused, as she sat with her back against a tree, a simple protein bar held in one hand as she without thinking took a bite out of it as her eyes trailed towards Dominique and the man vanished into the woods. Chewing the bite, her mouth working and yet not tasting the bar at all, Sin thought back over Dominique's words, the word family confusing her the most, what was a family like, was it like what the Seraph was to her. With her free hand she reached up to touch the wooden cross, only remembering she no longer had it anymore, her fingers resting upon nothing but air as she let the bar drop forgotten upon the ground. That's right...that man..that man took away Simon's cross..., with painful recollection, Sin's mind once more recreated the scene, her words of serving only Dominique, the mask of anger that fell upon the man as she reached to tear her cross from her, it sailing through the air before vanishing within the fire that consumed it, and the pain...the sudden almost blade like pain that stabbed through her very being. Folding her arms across her chest, her eyes tightly shut as she felt moisture leaking from her eyes, though losing the cross hurt what came next, it was blank...and yet she felt a cold pit within her stomach, clawing at her and she refused to remember what happened next, only knowing her mind wanted to shield her from what occurred, something so terrible that her mind hid the memory from her.
Unable to hold it back, her body shook as she let out a soft sob as she held her head between her hands, Sin didn't know what was happening, what was right...did did something happen to her, yet the answers remained beyond her grasp. Every time she reached out her body would tremble, her mind felt like it would shatter if she dared remember those images. Drawing her legs up, curling into a ball as much as she could within her armor, Sin desperately wanted Simon to tell her what was right, she wanted Dominique to be with her right now and not knowing how she should ask-afraid that it would be another mark against her being a Crusader. Not knowing why Dominique was so silent when she came to Sin, not knowing why she said those words...not seeing how much Sin needed her right now, to straighten out her world. To make that cold pit within her stomach vanish...to call her an angel.
Sobbing silently, the red armored crusaders passing her took notice as several stopped simply to look upon the black armored figure, the silent trembling shoulders. Sin was oblivious to the gathering she was causing of the normally machine like red armored crusaders as they watched her. Dominique would be able to keep her world straight, she would tell she was a good crusader as she always did, and would banish away these strange feelings, these feelings of being lost, bewilderment and confusion. Strange Sin never thought it was because Dominique entered her life that everything started, she only knew she wanted to bask in Dominique's light, she was like Simon but warmer and closer...she gave...
With a start Sin gazed up, her blue eyes shining with the wetness of her tears, her blond hair encircling her face as a realization dawned upon her, that she felt stronger when Dominique was near. And from a dim memory of a dream, she felt Dominique could give her strength...that everything that was occurring was because she had become prideful of being a crusader. Yet, it didn't feel quite right, with a sigh, still unaware of the crowd that had gathered around her Sin tilted her head back to stare up at the night's sky. She just didn't quite understand, but she knew she would stand by Dominique's side, and hope that the answer would reveal itself with Dominique's light.
That was how Leon found her, his eyes gazing slightly towards the wet cheeks, the clear blue eyes looking up at the night sky before shaking his head, motioning for Wrath to come with him as he head towards Serga who had returned from his talk with Dominique. Yet, as they moved Leon walked with a pronounced limp, blood soaking through his pants leg. Wrath was holding one of his arms stiffly, his war hammer, the blade cracked in the middle upon his back...and though he was impassive, one could see the tightening of his jaw, the slight pallor to his skin that he was in pain as the two approached Serga. The later noticing their appearance, his eyes brows lifting at only see the two of them, though Leon stalled his question with a hand, "Sloth caught sight of Dominique in the woods...she looked pretty...well I don't really have to take a guess do I...", a smirk forming on his lips, though Serga didn't rise to the bait before approaching the two, though he was disconcerted to see a few of his crusaders doing nothing but staring at Sin silently before motioning for Leon to join him, Wrath having walked away to be attended to by one of the red armorer crusaders.
Stopping slightly out of the clearing they were using as a base, Serga spoke quickly, "How did your escape go and how powerful are Pride and Lust.", his voice matter of fact, and almost as if in after thought, "And what is the status of Richard from your report that my sister gave you before we separated that he was wounded severely by Sin.". his face revealing nothing of his thoughts as he waited for Leon to speak.
Leon on the other hand, knew damn well he wasn't going to say anything on command as he limped towards a tree, gritting his teeth against the pain before settling himself against the wooden trunk, "Our escape went dandy, mother f**king dandy...the best part we got out alive..and relatively in one f**king piece.", hucking back before spitting out spit and blood before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, "Pride and Lust are simply demons, Sloth and Wrath had them on the rope for a bit...but f**kers...they are f**king quick learners and it took everything Sloth and Wrath could do to slow those two down enough for us to make our escape.", shaking his head, though thought better of it when he winced in pain before leaning his head back against the tree, "It makes me scared s*** less to see what Sin would be capable of...honestly it does...but your principal, he hundred percent sure that..", Leon falling silent as Serga lifted his hand.
"My principal didn't deem that information necessary, only instilling a great faith in Sin herself...those were their words not mine, but as you can see the chemical he gave us does knock her out of a certain condition.", his face still keeping his poker face, though there was a slight edge to his voice when he asked again, "And Richard..."
Leon his eyes looking towards Sin who still had a group of red armored crusaders watching her as she looked up at the night sky, "f**ker is a hard one to kill, being run through and all...and he still kicking...heard the f**k giving orders before we bailed over the speakers.", his eyes shadowed somewhat as he considered what he heard, but in the end he decided to tell Serga, "He wants both Dominique badly...of course, he wants Dominique harmed badly before being brought to him...but Sin...he's ordered Sin brought to him unharmed and in one piece.", for a moment a crack appeared in Serga's face before hiding it.
"My principal will need to be informed immediately...", with that Serga walked away, though signaling for one of his team to attend to Leon's wounds, so he didn't hear Leon's last remark, "...and who is this Simon guy that Richard kept yelling about that he wouldn't let him win again...", wincing as the crusader started working on his leg.
As Dominique sat by herself within the woods, she didn't realize she had gained company as Sloth silently sat down beside her, even with her head wounded, red blood shining darkly in the light of the moon Sloth still seemed relaxed as she sat back. Despite her armor being cracked in places and red marks could be seen upon her skin Sloth sat back as if she was relaxing in some quaint little forest as she looked up towards the night's sky.
She waited till Dominique composed herself before speaking, her voice though despite her apparent nonchalance was tight from the pain, "You know, we are monsters...Wrath, Lust, Pride, myself....and even Sin. Not because we are...but what they did to us to make us better weapons, you could consider it part of our growing up type of idea.", with a small laugh, though her breath hitched a bit before she continued, "You know...I read up about puberty...funny thing is none of us went through it...well not what you are use too. The virus they injected us with, well lets say our puberty was how our bodies adapted to it, you could say it grew with us...making us what we are...now I don't know a lot of what was suppose to happen, even Leon was only told so much...but we are different than those monsters out in the world, we feel...we think and we can fall in love.", smiling softly as her eyes drift towards the direction of the campsite before returning to looking up at the night sky.
Reaching out, Sloth gave Dominique's shoulder a tiny squeeze, "I should say Sin is a monster like the rest of us...she's different, and you think that old bastard changed or hurt her...he didn't. I don't even think he knows what Sin is...but she isn't a monster. And I am starting to think she just might be an angel...you know she is sweet always has been which is strange for us...", with a grimance, Sloth levered herself back to her feet before staring down to look towards Dominique, "I think...Sin desperately needs someone in her life...she's strong...but I think she is very fragile...and I don't think any of us crusaders can keep that fragile part of her safe and whole.", with a smile towards Dominique, Sloth started to limp away towards the camp.

Dominique looked up when Sloth squeezed her shoulder. She didn’t know that she was even here until she started speaking, and then she refused to even raise her head. Though she watched as she made her way toward the camp. Even after such a fight and in the pain she was in she still managed to come talk to her. But the truth was she in a way was hopping that Sin would make her way through those woods to see her, and when she didn’t come she could only find herself fighting back her tears. She had truly let Sin down and she had suffered for her failures. She was about to retreat back into her shell when she heard a twig snap in the woods. She shifted to grab her dagger only to stop when she seen Shasha exit out of the woods. She smiled at Dominique before walking over and leaning against the tree she was sitting at. She dropped a bottle of water into her hands before opening her own and taking a drink. Dominique stared at the water for a moment but pushed it away even though she knew she could down the bottle the second the cool liquid touched her lips.
“I’m not really here,” she said as she capped the lid and tossed the bottle. “I’ve got some of the teams searching to the north in the direction that Leon and his team went. Though like a good leader I informed them I would scout out of the south just in case they could have doubled back . . . well I guess they did.” She laughed a bit as she reached down and patted her on the head. “I guess you two talked.”
“Sorta.”
“Blades are still talking. Just in a way you can get your frustrations and anger out better. The only problem is one has to have the cool head.”
“He did.”
“He always does,” she laughed. “Even when I got jealous at how much time he spent with you. We were twins, and he always wanted to be by your side.” She shrugged her shoulders. “But we grow up and get over it, and maybe it was to build up to this point. Serga and I have never been closer.” She looked down at Dominique. “An now it’s your turn to get your bond back.” She turned to walk away. “Richard is still alive and kicking. How for that old basterd I don’t know, but you do need to watch your back.” She looked at Dominique and smiled. “I’ll try to keep them off your tracks for now. Tell Serga I can only give him a day before another scouting party comes this way. It’s protocol, and for his informant I have to follow rules.”
Dominique nodded as she watched Shasha walk away. She stood up opening the water and taking a sip. She quickly pulled it away at the taste. Though it would be good to wet her throat she always despised the taste of bottled water. It never tasted like fresh faucet or spring water. She couldn’t be picky out here, and Shasha was generous to give it to her. She downed half the bottle quickly before shivering at the taste. She could never understand how something like this could have a taste to it, but they always did and with each different brand the taste was always a bit different. She made her way back to the camp seeing Leon and Wrath both okay and being looked at, and then Sloth right next to Leon made her smile. They weren’t monsters regardless of what forms they took. She looked at Sin and the Crusaders surrounding her. Moving toward her she staggered slightly feeling her head swim for a moment before the feeling went away.
Shaking her head she made her way over to Sin and showing away the curious Crusaders. She smiled lightly as she watched her friend lost in thought. “I’m going to apologize again,” she told Sin causing her to look at her. Sloth was right about one thing, and Sin was strong and able to handle herself. But those moments those hidden moments that she could see when she looked into her eyes needed protecting. An that couldn’t be done by a sword. She couldn’t wallow in her own self-pity when she knew that Sin had been through more than she could ever think about. She hit her knees beside Sin and leaned forward wrapping her arms around her. She could feel Sin tense up slightly as she did. “I’m sorry for my rambling earlier. I had lost my way for just a moment.” She leaned back on her heals and smiled at Sin. “But I have found my way, and a promise I have to keep to a certain Angel.”
She gasped slightly feeling the strange pain forming in her chest. Even without feeling for a pulse she could feel her heart beating fast. She pushed it off as the events of the day finally wearing off as she looked at Sin before sitting against the tree she was sitting at. “I think the battle field has been drawn,” she said as she looked up at the night sky. She flinched for a second as a sharp pain coursed through her body. “Two demons have risen from the ashes of what my . . . my father had done . . .” she paused to catch her breath finding that something wasn’t right, but she wanted to tell Sin something as well. “An then the good Lord has shown me what kind of Angel you are.” She smiled weakly at Sin. “You’re my Angel of Righteousness. You fight for what’s right even though you question what is right and wrong.” Dominique shook her head as she could feel her heart pounding and with each word she spoke the harder it got to breath. “Sorry,” she said using the tree to help her up.
But that was as far as she had gotten. She grabbed her chest as she cried out, and used the tree to support her as best as she could. “M- my chest . . .” she managed said breathlessly. With the burning sensation in her chest it was also becoming hard to breath. She tried to move but her body refused, and through her tingling fingers she felt the half full bottle of water tumble from her hands. Dominique’s head swam as her body grew hot. She struggled against the spinning world and tried to reach for Sin, but she couldn’t feel her body anymore. An before she knew it she was on the ground gasping for air that wouldn’t come in enough quantities. Dominique struggled to stay conscious knowing that she had to help Sin. She had a promises to keep, and for some reason she wanted to see how strong her Angel was. But she couldn’t move, and her heart screamed in pain as her lungs burned from the lack of oxygen. She felt tears streaming down her cheeks, and it was from the fear that she wouldn’t be able to see Sin again. An as the darkness took hold of her fear ran rampant through her mind.
Serga shoved several of his Crusaders out of his way before he moved back into the area surrounding Sin and Dominique. He cursed slightly as he ran up and knelt beside her. “What happened?” he asked as he rolled Dominique over and checked her breath. “s*** . . . she’s barely breathing if I can call it that.” He looked around the group before finding the lead Crusader that was the medic. “Take her and try to stabilize her. Keep her alive if we have to we’ll leave earlier than expected. I need to know if we can help her in this field.” He cursed again before standing up as the Crusader took Dominique and moved back to one of the tents. “Search the surrounding areas, and tell me if there was any unwanted company. I want to know what has happened,” he ordered to the remainder of the crusaders in the camp. With that they made their way out into the woods. “For an half dead old man he works pretty fast, but who could get this close to her and so fast at that?” He looked up at Leon. “Was your team followed?”

Sin felt, she did not yet know how to describe the feelings, the urges as she felt Dominique wrap her arms around her, and though for a moment she tensed-accustomed to the action, her body in time relaxed as she listened to Dominique. The words and though she would be hard pressed to know why, slowly very slowly gave her tumbled world its anchor, a warmth flooding her as Dominique called her an angel again. Yet, even though those feelings held paramount within her mind, Sin wasn't blind to what was happening to Dominique, each word was a struggle, each gasp an icy stab of a pick upon Sin's world. Time seemed to slow as Dominique fell back clutching her chest, Sin's hand reaching out as her friend fell to the ground, and Sin froze as time sped up as her blue eyes shattered. Ice forming within her as she watched the man Serga run up, scattering the crusaders who had surrounded them, and for the first time she saw Leon and the rest, wounds and bandages covering them and yet soon they left her mind as she focused back onto Dominique. Sin grew deaf to the words of those around her, the only voice she heard echoing throughout her mind was Dominique', “But I have found my way, and a promise I have to keep to a certain Angel.”, Dominique was going to keep her promise, her promise to Sin a failed crusader and yet...she was worthy of such an oath from such a light that Dominique had brought into her life.
As Sin fell into her mind, she dimly heard Serga demanding from Leon if his team was followed, and though she didn't actively focused upon it somehow those two voices started to become louder, as if unconsciously wanted to know who did this to Dominique; already her hand clutched the hilt of her sword as she listened, and yet at the same time her eyes still shattered only looked upon the pain filled face of Dominique.
Leon's eyes grew hard as he looked down towards Dominique, as Sloth walked up next to him, tentatively placing her hand upon his shoulder, "f**k, I have no clue...I thought we gave them the slip, and just don't f**king know.", spitting, despite the anger in his words, Sloth heard the pain in that voice she had grown so accustomed to hearing, that caused her heart to beat, that secret tone when Leon felt responsible for something happening. With a sigh, so soft that no one heard it but Wrath who looked up, one eye brow lifting before returning his attention back towards his war hammer, a finger tracing the jagged edge where the blade once was.
Clearing her throat, though Sloth was want to say what she thought, this was something she did not quite understand, it was something that people with siblings would know better and so she was unsure, but she liked Dominique and she wanted Leon not to blame himself anymore, "I hung back during our escape...worried that Lust would at least have been able to track us when I noticed something....unexpected.", frowning as she looked towards Serga, and for a brief moment her eyes opened to reveal startling amerhyst eyes, "I saw...you, yet it wasn't you...it was strange, it was you yet female form of you. The you who wasn't you was given something...during our escape...something I could not quite see.", falling silent, Sloth was troubled as she once more let her eyes return to their half closed position.
For a moment no one spoke till Leon, his eyes widening, "f**k...your sister...", yet everyone suddenly stilled when they heard the breaking of a twig, and from the darkness approached greed, as always fully armored and helmeted as they entered the clearing.
Yet before Serga could issue an order Leon held up his hand, forestalling the action, in explanation as he looked side long to Greed approaching, "Don't worry...no f**king clue what this one's goals are but it tends to seem to play both sides...thought for awhile it was one of yours but...well f**k, its to damn confusing to be one of yours.", approaching Leon, Greed handed him a small electronic device before turning around and departing.
"What did that he, she ....it give you Leon.", Serga's eyes going towards the small rectangular device as Leon pressed a button, a small screen lightening up, "I'll be damned...", though before Greed left it lifted its head seeing Dominique before moving over to start working upon her, assisting the medical crusader already there.
Looking up to Serga, Leon's face a paler shade, "We are f**ked...we gotta get the hell out of...", stopping in mid sentence as Leon snapped his head towards Sloth's outburst.
"Where is Sin!", her normal tone of voice devolving into a shout, yet within the clearing there was no sign of Sin.
You’re my Angel of Righteousness..., while the others searched for her, Sin was moving through the woods, Dominique's other words coming to her when she saw what was displayed and for the first time in awhile she felt her path was straight and true as she gripped her sword tightly in one gauntlet as she slid through the forest, her black armor turning her into a moving shadow almost that didn't catch the light of the moon; the only hint of something there was the faintly glowing blues eyes.
Man he hated hunts like this one, God only knew what monster was lurking out there with the world as it was, but god damn what ever the hell happened back at base that mobilized the Templar's hunting force out this night. The male Templar, his uniform though retaining the cross was camo colored as he walked through the woods, making his circuit around the camp as the rest waited for their leader to return from her mission before attacking. Unlike the majority of Templar's within the base, these ones were equipped to take down crusaders, their weapons top military grade and with special rounds just in case the said crusaders. More over they were better trained than their fellows, hell the Head Templar trained most of them, and though some hated his guts he had their loyalty as the ten person unit waited within the darkened woods.
As he turned to repeat his patrol, the Templar felt a strange burning sensation along his neck, of course what he saw surprised him even more as he saw a headless corpse carrying the same weapon he was carrying before his head fell a few feet away from his crumpling body. Without giving the body a second glance, Sin had already deemed all other Templar unclean and must be purged, only Dominique could stop her now, and Sin was going to right the wrong that was done upon Dominique.
Having taken a longer route, just in case of something happening Shasha finally arrived at her unit's camp. Yet when she entered the clearing, finding it strange that none of the two patrolling guards had hailed her as she neared, her eyes widened as she saw within the clearing the scattered bodies...most missing several limbs and the majority of what use to be men and women were missing their heads. Fear gripping her heart, her eyes moved towards the center of the camp, and standing there was a blood drenched angel of death, her blond hair shining coldly in the light of the moon, a blade shining darkly with blood and two glowing blues eyes.

Serga stood shocked that Shasha would even do this to Dominique. When he asked her to help watch over her inside the facility she happily agreed, and didn’t think that she would do anything. He knew that Shasha had a problem with Dominique when they were younger, but that seemed to pass when they transferred from the mansion to the other facility. He looked down at Dominique as Greed and his medic tried their best to stabilize her. He looked back at Leon. “If Sin took off then she is back in that form. Dominique will be the only one able to stop her. Another shot this soon could hurt her, and I can’t risk that. My principle wouldn’t be very happy with that risk.” He looked at the ground before tightening his fist, and the thought of punching a nearby tree had crossed his mind but unfortunately he would have to walk to one in order to do that. “We need to . . . “ he trailed off when he heard Dominique’s voice
“W-where’s Sin,” she gasped heavily.
“You should not move,” the crusader spoke. “The poison is still in your body, and moving can undo what has been done.”
“Where is Sin,” she asked again before she tried to roll over on her side. A soft hand on her shoulder stopped her as she looked up at Sloth. “Where is Sin?” she asked again before Sloth helped her to her feet.
“I do not know where she has gone, but she may be going after his sister,” she said pointing to Serga.
“Domi,” Serga said finding it hard to say her name. He wanted to go to her, but stopped when she flinched from the pain. He sighed an hung his head. “Did Shasha confront you before you came back to the camp.”
Dominique looked at Serga before looking away. “She was. She said she was a scout since she sent her team north after Leon. She had come to warn us about another scout . . . .”
“Not what I meant!” he shouted. He watched her flinch at his tone, but shook it off. “Did Shasha just try to kill you.”
Dominique shook her head. “All . . . all she did was give me a bottle of water.” She struggled to stand up even with Sloth’s help. “I- I have to find Sin,” she said shaking her head. She pushed away from Sloth but hit the ground again.
“You cannot keep moving like that,” the Crusader said as he walked over to Dominique. “We have stabilized the poison until we get back to the facility.”
She shook off the Crusader as she tried to stand up, but the soft hands she was expecting was replaced by strong muscular hands. She looked up at Serga as he helped her stand up, and wrapped his arm around her back. He looked at the Crusader that was trying to help. “Let me have the pouch. An then I want you to evacuate the camp back toward the Principle’s facility.” The Crusader nodded before walking off to gather the others. He looked back at Leon as he held onto Dominique tightly. “I’m going to need your help with this.” He led Dominique over to pick up her bow allowing her to use it as a crutch. “We need to move and fast.”
Dominique looked around the woods finding the path that Sin had entered the woods. She looked at Serga and nodded her head letting him know that she was ready. He led her out into the woods taking care to keep in mind that she was stumbling over her own feet. The only thing they could do was head north of their own camp back toward the barracks entrance. The camp couldn’t be too far from that considering that there wasn’t too much of a time laps. Dominique staggered over a stump before slipping from Serga’s grip, but somehow he had managed to catch her before she hit the ground. With one swift move he picked her up off her feet before continuing on through the woods.
“Stop,” she said as she looked down at the ground. Serga let her down allowing her to stagger towards a set of trees. He ran her hand along the trunk before looking past it. With the support of her bow she moved past the tree to a bush where a body was laying the head not even a few feet away. The armor worried her greatly as she looked over the body. She looked up at Serga as he stepped up beside her. “This isn’t good. One alone isn’t a problem, but a group could be a real problem.” She looked back at Leon and the others. “Even to a Black armored Crusader. I’m sure you’ve remembered training alongside these Templars.”
“Except this one doesn’t look like he even got a chance to fight,” Serga said baffled at the fact that the weapon was still in its sheath. He looked off into the woods at the obvious bent bushes. “Let’s go the camps not far.” He looked at Leon. “You might want to hang back and observe the surrounds,” he looked back to Dominique but she was gone. “Oh come on, what is it with these two!” He removed one of the syringes and handed it to Leon. “In case you get to her before I do. If that’s the case get her back to the Principle.” With that he took off into the woods.
Dominique felt the pressure on her chest again as she staggered through the woods. It was getting harder to breath, but she pushed that thought aside. She pushed the pain away as she used the bow to support her weight. She didn’t know what state Sin was in, and if she was back in that other form. If she was she didn’t know how she was going to bring her out of it, but she knew she had to try. She knew why Shasha did what she did, her own statement told her but at the time she didn’t catch it. She clutched her chest tightly as she continued to force herself through the woods following the trail that Sin had left. She laughed at the fact that it was actually hard to follow the trail considering the armor that she wore. She heard the sound of clashing metal that caused her to look up, a cry echoing through the woods forcing her to run. She hit a tree, but used it to push her in the direction of the sound.
The closer she came to the clearing she seen Shasha run past a tree as sword cut through a tree. Dominique couldn’t help but admire at how much strength Sin had in this form, but it worried her too that this form wasn’t anywhere near what Lust and Pride were at. She shook the thought as she seen Shasha hit the ground. Pushing from the tree she had to stop Sin from killing Shasha. She wasn’t a friend like Sin was, but she was one of the only decent people in the facility. An regardless of whether this was of her own choice of someone else’s she had to know. If it was because of Dominique when they were children then she would have to find a way to fix it or make it up to her. She gasped heavily as she stifled a cry that coursed through her chest. She moved into the clearing almost shocked at the bodies that surrounded it, and the armor that each Templar wore. She looked at Sin as she was about to make her final strike.
“Sin, Stand down!” she ordered glade that her voice was able to even hold the authority in it, but after that she hit her knee leaning against the bow. She looked at Shasha as Sin stepped back from her. “Sh- Shasha why?”
She jumped to her feet an looked at Dominique before taking off into the woods. Dominique shook her head before using the bow to help her to her feet. Staggering she moved toward Sin stopping in front of her. She didn’t like those eyes that looked at her as if they demanded an order. She hated giving orders to Sin. She wanted her friend to be able to stand on her own and make her own choices when it come to her life. She dropped the bow and reached out to Sin gripping her chest armor and more or less used it to help her stand up. She smiled weakly as she leaned up against Sin feeling the cool armor against her hot skin. She closed her eyes as she leaned against her. Her body burned and her heart pounded as she stood there wishing that Sin would come back to her.
“I- I don’t like this form of you,” she said lightly. “It almost seems like . . . like my father has hurt you more than I realized.” She could feel her legs shaking as she struggled to stand. “You are stronger like this, but . . . but you can’t make your own decisions like this.” She let go of her armor before she collapsed to the ground. Panting heavily she felt the tears in her eyes as she tried to push herself up. She wanted to help Sin, but she didn’t know how she could do it. Not like this. “Sin,” she said weakly. “Sin, please stay with me.” She clutched her side tightly as she tried her best to keep from crying.
--------------------------------------- Serga moved around the camp when he seen Shasha take off into the woods. As much as he wanted to help Dominique he wanted answers from his sister. She had betrayed him, and that hurt him more than Dominique hating him all these years. As she moved through the woods he tackled her to the ground, and before she could even turn her sword on him. He struck her hard against the head knocking her out. Standing up he staggered back to a tree to lean against it as he looked down at her. Betrayal seemed to run around him in many ways and it was getting harder to deal with.

Greed remained upon the sidelines of the clearing, Leon and his team having made their way painfully after Dominique and the rest in time to see Dominique collapse. The medical crusader running forward towards Dominique's side, the flash of glass, Sin looking down upon Dominique, her face a mixture of horror and fear as her faintly glowing blue eyes dimmed for a moment. Yet, Greed remained still, their head twisted to the side as if listening to something only they could hear, and perhaps they were before falling further back into the woods, yet not too far away. The show was about to start...and they were getting into position to watch it all unfold...
Sin remained frozen, her blue eyes their surface shattered as Dominique's words reverebated throughout her mind, the image of Dominique falling to the ground in pain and reaching forward with one trembling hand asking for Sin to remain by her side. Reaching out her own hand, her mind verging upon collapsing, the path she found herself upon, the one she thought would lead her to the light had become broken, twisted as she reached out towards Dominique's trembling form. From the woods a single loud crack and the forest itself fell silent, and among the cooling bodies of the Templar's Sin had slain everyone's eyes seemed glued towards a darken area of the forest that was darker than the rest. From the darkness emerged a figure clad in a flowing night colored hood and cloak, a slim figure could be barely seen beneath the billowing cloak as they strode into the clearing.
From the other direction, Serga dragging Shasha behind him eyed the new figure, when Shasha screamed in pure terror her eyes widening in fear as she looked upon the cloaked figure, Serga's mind worked quickly as his eyes switched to his sister, and the fear that seemed to bubble from her, an almost animalistic fear, without thinking twice he gathered his voice to give his team to attack, he never got a chance to issue that order.
The figure leaned their head back as if taking a deep breath, and perhaps they were before throwing their head forward, a nearly inaudible sound could be heard as it swept through the clearing, the red armored crusaders falling to their knees as if hit by something, clutching at their heads. Even Serga was knocked to one knee as he fought to keep himself from throwing out, yet even so distressed Serga's mind realized that what ever that person was they had just attacked with a subsonic attack that could disrurpt a person's balance within their brain. Even now the only people standing were the three black armored crusaders, Leon heaving his guts out near a tree and even Sloth and Wrath looked pale and drawn as they leaned against a tree...the only one not effected was Sin who still stared down towards Dominique who had mercifully passed out, spared the attack.
We got to get out of here...who ever this is...I just don't know..., his sister rolling upon the ground screaming, blood pouring from her ears from the attack, and even he felt wetness upon the side of his head, and with barely enough breath, "Everyone....pull back...", Wrath and Sloth hearing the cry, and despite their own weakness from the attack, Wrath running to pick up Dominique while Sloth helped Leon to his unsteady feet before moving swiftly to get what red armored form back up as they started running from the clearing, Serga looking towards Sin, his thoughts mixed before yelling towards her, "Sin hold that person off...its after Dominique!", cursing himself for his lie as he bent to place one of his sister's arms around his neck before pulling her after the rest.
They are after Dominique..., it was a thought, but one Sin clung to, like a drowning person clinging to anything that would keep them afloat, even if it was something that would in the end harm them. She would protect Dominique, she would choose this for herself, she would...she would as she lifted her gaze towards the hooded figure who had not moved an inch after their initial attack, not even to pursue the fleeing figures. Gripping her sword tightly, her blue eyes flaring a radiant blue Sin fell into a fighting stance, she would defend Dominique...she must.
Yet, her foe did not move, it was...as if they were waiting for some unseen signal as Sin watched them, the blade of her sword shining brightly in the moon light, only marred by the darkness of the still wet blood. Sin would make the first move as she dashed forward, not realizing she was drawing upon the virus that increased her already considerable natural abilities even further as she crossed the distance separating the two of them almost within a blink of an eye, her blade flashing a silver snake into a sweep aimed for the hooded figures neck. The blade completing its swing, and yet Sin had missed the figure vanishing from her sight as she lost her balance, all her power put into that one swing causing her to stumble before catching herself in time to twirl around, her sword driving forward to the midsection of the hooded person who had appeared behind them.
The point only piercing air, the figure having seemingly moved seconds faster than the speed of Sin's attack, blue eyes opening wide in surprise as she sailed past the hooded figure before stumbling to a stop as she stood straight up before turning to face her foe. Sin was bewildered by the speed of her adversary, and the knowledge that as of yet the mysterious person had yet to attack, each time simply avoiding Sin's attacks. Though she was crusader trained, and conditioned Sin felt a cold pit in her stomach as the figure finally made a move, an arm moving to vanish beneath the cloak to draw forth a long sword, its metal gleaming almost as if the person held a blade made from the light of the moon.
The clash of steel upon steel as Sin fell back, the attack so sudden that she barely reacted in time, the blade of her sword catching her foe and yet the edge of the blade was a bare centimeter from her eyes, so close that she could see the fine grim line of her foe's mouth. As suddenly her foe vanished, Sin rolling forward as she felt the passage of a keen blade, the sound of the air being cut behind her as she stumbled to the ground, yet she was moving again as she rolled to the left as the blade pierced the ground where her head was only moments before. Attempting to gain her feet, feeling the impact of a foot in her mid section as she felt herself flying through the air till she collided with a tree, her breath exploding from her mouth. Falling forward as she fell to one knee as the blade missed removing her head from her neck, a sound of large snap causing her to snap her head to look behind her, the tree she had hit tilting towards her as she rolled to the right moments before the tree came crashing down upon where she had fell.
Trying to catch her breath, her lungs aching for air as she once again rolled away, though not fast enough the edge of the blade cutting through her armor as if it was nothing to slice her skin upon her right side. Rolling into a crouch, one arm wrapped around the side that had been cut, red blood staining the black of her armor as she lifted her sword, grunting in effort as her foe's blade crashed upon the flat of her blade. Straining to halt the pressure of her foe's attack, sweat dripping from her forehead as the pain of her wounded side started to burn, and the knowledge that she was going to fail, gave her that ounce of strength to throw up her foe's sword before making a feeble slash, her blade slicing through the hem of the figure's cloak revealing a shapely leg as her foe jumped back.
With an effort, feeling like she had fight several hours instead of barely five minutes, Sin gained her feet again but now she lacked the strength to lift her sword any higher than mid way as her blue eyes, the glow fading from them eyed the silent figure.
Almost as suddenly as they attacked, the figure sheathed their sword before turning away from Sin, their cloak flapping in the air. Before Sin could make a coherent thought, or take advantage of her foe's turned back she felt a prick upon her neck, and Sin left the waking world and returned to the world of dreams as her exhausted body fell onto the ground.
Greed watched the cloak figure leave, the visor of their helm glowing with a faintly golden aura before returning to the blackness. Holstering the weapon that had shot the dart to subdue Sin, though Greed found the fight...informative, Sin's death was not yet be required of their mission. For now her death would wait as they went over towards the still form of Sin before stooping down, placing her sword back into her sheath before lifting Sin into its arms. Standing up, Greed thought back towards the one blow Sin had managed to land, and found it was worth keeping her alive just to see what data could be gathered from advancing her state even further as they turned to head after the rest.

Dominique lay on the ground clutching her side. She wanted so much to hear Sin’s voice at this moment. She could understand that she would probably have difficulty understanding what she was talking about, but the more she thought about it the more found herself confused. With the lack of air she was finding that her thoughts were muddled and it was hard to focus on one thing at a time. All she wanted was for Sin to hold her like she did when she took her from her father’s office. Through blurry eyes she looked down at her wrapped hand the moment that started all of this. She finally gave into the pain as she lay on the ground not aware of what was going on. Her lungs burned as they starved for oxygen, and her heart beat so hard and fast she could feel it in her throat. She would have laughed at the thought of her life ending like this, but her thoughts were so jumbled all she could do was just focus on the blurring world. An with each second the blurring world became darkness as she passed out.
With the arrival of the new mysterious figure that Serga no doubt that Shasha knew things just went from bad to worse. He regretted lying to Sin about Dominique’s danger, but the more he thought about it the more he didn’t know how much of a lie it was. Still as he looked at the others Sin was the only one even capable of dealing with whoever that was. He pulled the group to a halt back at their former camp knowing well enough that they couldn’t stay too long. They had to keep moving, but he also had to allow everyone to gather themselves again an hope that Sin survived to catch back up to them. He looked at Shasha as she tried to jerk away from him, but instead he shoved her into the arms of a Red Crusader before walking over to Wrath as he laid Dominique down on the ground. He knelt down over her as he felt for a pulse it was weak and growing weaker, but what he feared she wasn’t breathing.
“s***,” he growled as he tilted her head back as he tried to breath air into her lungs, but he could feel the resistance. He looked up at his medic as he walked up. “Her airway has swollen shut.” As the medic kneeled beside Dominique to help Serga stood up and turned to Shasha. “What did you give her?” Shasha shook her head and almost shrank back into the Crusader holding her. Serga walked over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders. “What have you done?!” he barked.
He didn’t want to resort to violence with his sister, but she was leaving him know choice. She had hurt a friend of both of theirs, and almost didn’t seem to care about Dominique dying right in front of them. He pulled his hand back to strike her but paused when he heard the noise in the woods. He drew his sword as the rest did only to let out a breath of relief when they seen Greed step into the clearing holding Sin. He shook his head as he motioned for him to set her down beside Dominique. He turned back to Shasha who returned his glare before looking away. He shook his head as he walked back to the two females. He knelt down beside Sin to check her over. Alive was a good thing, but he was almost taken back by the damage to her armor let alone the cut through the armor that cut her skin. It wasn’t a stabbing, but an actual slice. Their armor was built to withstand slicing, and a Black Armor crusader was built to withstand more. This he knew because of Heather. She had built their armor to take a great deal of damage.
“This worries me,” he said as he touched the cut in the armor. He looked up as the medic left Dominique’s side to tend to Sin’s wound. “How is Dominique?”
“She is barely breathing,” he spoke as he worked under Sin’s armor without removing it. “I do not believe another shot will help. If she is not gotten back to our facility she will die.”
Serga inhaled sharply as he looked at Dominique before looking back at Sin. He shook his head as he stepped away from the two. He looked at Shasha who seemed to tremble under his gaze. “Were leaving everything here and just moving as is.” He had the medic to carry Dominique in order to keep a close eye on her while he had another one of his Crusaders carrying Sin. Looking at Leon he sighed a bit. “I’m praying hard that whoever that was wont attack again, but right now you three are our best bet in getting this two to our base.” He looked at Greed as he stood back. “I don’t know where you stand, but it looks like I have no choice. If you’re coming lets go.” He walked over to gather up Dominique’s bow and stopped before looking at Shasha. “You better have your story down pat as soon as we get there. Fighting a friend because your jealous I can understand, but trying to kill her . . .” he trailed off as he looked over to Dominique. “If she dies your life is no longer mine to protect.”
Shasha couldn’t help but laugh at that statement. “My life was never yours to protect. You chose her over your own flesh and blood. What makes you think I even want your help anymore?” Serga halled off and slapped her across her face causing her to laugh. “See what I mean. You let another person come between you and me.” She glared at him. “Kill me now, because I will try again if she does survive.”
Serga shook her off as he motioned for the rest of the team to follow. He looked at Leon as he passed by him. “Given your conditions if you need call for a stop. I don’t want to wear out your team considering the current dangers.” He took another look at Shasha before disappearing into the woods followed by the rest of the group.
As they moved through the forest Dominique stirred violently in the Crusader’s arms. He struggled for a moment before he was able to gain control of the situation. She seemed to settle more into a deeper unwanted slumber as her face continued to portray the pain she felt even in her sleep. Her dreams riddled with pain and torment as Richard’s voice seemed to echo through her head that she was a failure. Then she could see Sin standing there in the darkness, but even with the black armor on she seemed to radiate with light. She tried to run toward her, but the closer she got the further away Sin was until she was no longer in sight. Dominique tried to cry out for her but nothing came out. An then Richard was standing there and she felt small and the sword in her hand felt heavy. She could barely hold the large weapon in her hands. She could hear Richard screaming at her at how she was a failure, and if he had a son life would be so much better.
The Templar’s world wasn’t meant for a woman, and she was just a nuisance that would only get herself killed. Dominique tried hard to hold the weapon up like she had been shown, but it wasn’t the sword that the Priest had given her. She could remember feeling how light it was, and how strong it was a weapon like no other and it was hers. Yet Richard wouldn’t let her train with it. He threw a larger more heavier blade at her one meant for a Crusader in training not a Templar. As the sword dropped from her blistered fingers she felt the sting on her back as the whip slapped across it. ‘Again,’ he would holler, and like always she would until her back was covered in blood along with her hands. After several attempts Richard would give her sword back to her.
She was a failure in her father’s eyes, and no matter how hard she tried nothing she could ever do would be right. Her first mission, and completed it with flying colors by what the Council had said. They complemented her on her excellence and effectiveness of her mission. Yet standing in Richard’s office all he could do was say that she failed her mission, and she was a failure in life. He would nitpick about everything she did. Nothing she did was right and no matter how hard she tried to prove to him . . . to make him proud of her she always failed at it. When Sin had come into her life she thought things were turning around for her, and that maybe she was doing something right in her life now especially when the Council had agreed to let her have Sin as her partner. But it seemed like when she was finally doing something right she failed in some other aspect of life. Except this time it was so much worse than before. Her failure seemed to be leading to the ultimate punishment.
She had betrayed her father, and then watched him die before her. She had watched her Angel suffer from his hands, and had failed to protect her. She failed to protect her Sin from her father’s twisted experiments, and in turn she had been hurt severely because of her. Then at Serga’s camp she had hurt her. She didn’t’ realize it until know but the image of Sin sitting against the tree looking up at the night sky. She had been crying just before she came back. She could remember seeing the streaks of salt down her cheeks, but couldn’t understand why she didn’t notice it then. She couldn’t help but see the pain hidden within those dim blue eyes of hers a pain she knew she had caused. Dominique reached out to touch Sin, but she faded from site. She couldn’t help but notice she was crying now. She had been so absorbed over her own life that she had been so ignorant of what she was telling Sin, and in turn she had hurt her friend.
Her darkness was replaced by a bloody battlefield. An army of the elite as far as Templars went laid sprawled out in their own camp all looked as if they never had a chance to draw their own weapons. An in the center of the blood shed was her Angel her blade dripping with the blood of the dead her eyes radiating blue, and the solid look as she waited for orders. Dominique tried to run toward Sin, but pain surged through her body causing her to cry out as she hit the ground. She tried to go to her friend, but the more she moved the more pain coursed through her body. The third time she hit her knee spitting out blood as she watched her friend just standing there staring at her. An from the forest Richard strolled with that satisfying grin that he had finally won over his own daughters pain. He stopped beside Sin. The words in audible over the pounding in her head as she watched Richard give Sin an order, and she seemed to comply with it unlike before.
Sword drawn she watched in fear as Sin walked up to her. Her eyes not like before . . . not even when they were both standing in this actually camp. They held something that she couldn’t understand, but here even though that look was still there she could see pain unlike before. Pain as if maybe Sin really knew what she was doing, but struggled against it unlike the forest. She watched the sword as the metal gleamed from the rays of the moon. An as the sword came out she screamed.
“SIN!” the words echoing through the woods as Dominique struggled against the Crusader carrying her. She hit the ground coughing and gasping before spitting up blood. She laid back on the ground before realizing that Serga was leaning over her. “S- Sin,” she spoke with pleading eyes. “I- I want Sin,” she felt herself crying almost like a child. “I- I hurt her.” She grimaced in pain before she started spitting up blood.
Serga looked at her worried before looking to the medic as he climbed to his feet. “I’ve seen this before,” he said as he looked at Shasha. “A certain assassin for the Templars uses this poison to slowly kill their target.” He looked at Dominique as he pushed her hair away from her sweat covered face. “It a basic acid. Colorless and odorless mix it with enough water and the reaction is slow and mixed, but in the end . . .” he trailed off as he seen Dominique starting at him.
“W- where’s Sin?” she asked tiredly. “I- want m- my Angel.”
Serga grimaced slightly. “She’s sleeping right now. She’ll be at your side when you wake back up at the facility.” He went to pick her up but she screamed out in pain before coughing up more blood. “Damn it,” he growled as he watched helplessly as she struggled against the pain. “Shasha!” he growled as he looked at her. “Did you know about this?”
With eyes wide open an fear riddled them. “N- no . . . he said she would hurt . . . but not like this.”
“Do you even know what this does!” he screamed as he jumped to his feet. He jerked her from the Crusaders guarding her and slammed her against a tree. “We could have stopped this back at the camp . . . DID YOU KNOW!” he screamed.
“No, I didn’t. He told me that her heart would hurt, but she would suffocate,” she cried.
He glared at her before slamming his fist into the tree just barely missing her head. “Do you know the extent of this drug?” He looked back to Dominique who seemed lost in thought, but surprisingly wide awake. “It’s an acid,” he hissed as he looked back at her. “It will eat at her until it liquefies her internally. A very slow and very painful death, a death that no one should ever wish upon someone else.” He leaned up against the side tree and looked down at Dominique before looking at the ground. “Were still too far away from the facility. She wouldn’t survive the trip.” He paused for a moment before looking at Leon. “Is there any way your team is capable of making that track without us?”
Shasha looked at Dominique before looking at Serga. “Take her back then if you’re so worried about saving her from such a painful death. Lord Laurance will just put her down quicker.”
Serga’s head snapped up at Shasha’s response, but at the response itself. “That’s it,” he said eyeing Leon’s glare about Shasha’s statement. “No not that. Down. I know exactly where to take her.” He ran up to Dominique scooping her off the ground and trying his best to ignore her screams. He handed her over to his medic. “Stay close where moving fast.” With that he took off into the woods. One of the other Crusaders threw Shasha over his shoulder before he followed. “A couple of years ago Dominique got the upper hand on me and actually hurt me pretty bad. I didn’t think I would make it, and that’s when I ran into the old man.” He looked back to make sure that Leon and his team were following giving what they had been through today. He could have slapped himself for asking, and completely forgetting that they had limitations too.
He continued to run despite the fact his legs were screaming to stop. He knew he couldn’t and when he risked a glance back he noticed that Dominique was once more struggling to stay awake. He cursed slightly before he turned around and almost ran into a tree. Shaking his head he changed course leading them further away from Richard’s territory. An arrow caught him by surprise as it almost took everything he had to stop from being hit. He hit the ground as the Crusaders with him drew their swords in response to the attack. Serga shook his head as he looked up in the direction that the arrow had come from.
“That makes twice now my arrows almost taken you out,” the voice echoed through the woods. “Serga my boy what brings you to my part of the woods?” His voice seemed to echo around the group not giving them a definitive answer on his location beside where the feathers of the bow pointed.
“Stand down,” he ordered his Crusaders as he looked into the woods. “I need help Old man,” he said as he stood up. “My friend is dying, and my facility is too far away.”
“An why didn’t you just take her back to her father. I’m sure he could help. Are you sure you want to take her further toward your war.”
“It’s our war, and pleases. She was poisoned with an acid.”
“Siegfried is seems to love those poisons.” An elderly man stepped out of the woods using his bow to help him walk. He stopped by Serga as he looked at the bow he carried and then to the one he was using. “I do believe with both have the same manufacture,” he laughed as he walked past him and back into the woods. “Well boy, aren’t you going to invite your friends over for dinner.”
Serga shook his head as he motioned for the others to follow him. They were lead them to a river, and downstream a cave hidden by the brushes. Inside the cave they were lead down a hidden door, and inside was small facility that looked like it was meant for research but no longer being used for it. He escorted Greed towards one of the rooms so he could lay Sin down. Serga on the other hand had led his Crusader to the small medical lab to lay Dominique down on the bed. With the equipment on hand he was able to hook her up to the machine in order to better register her vitals all of which weren’t registering. The Crusader went to shuffling around the room as he hunted for the items to help her breath, and to bring her pulse back.
“Is he a medic?” the Old Man asked as he stepped into the room.
“Self-trained. Crusaders usually aren’t medics, but he’s the best on my team.”
He nodded as he tossed the Crusader the items he needed to help Dominique. “Then she’ll also need this,” he said as he brought out another vial that had a green tint to it. “It will stop the acid, but she will have to fight to survive now as long as it’s in her system.” He walked over drawing up the syringe as the Crusader finished stabilizing her as best as he could. He injected the serum directly into the IV line that lead into Dominique’s right arm. “Give this to her about every hour.” He handed the syringe over to the medic before grabbing Serga’s arm and leading him out of the room. “She looks like her mother,” he said as he walked out into the opening. “Take that child to one of the rooms. You can guard the door she won’t be able to escape.” With Serga’s nod the Crusader holding Shasha complied as he stepped away.
“You know for being her great Grandfather you seem well obliged to hiding in the woods and staying away from your family,” Serga said with a grin.
“Ah- how long?”
“Long enough,” he said as he followed him to a larger area with a kitchen.
“Everyone can make themselves at home. My Grandson would dare think about attacking me at the moment even with his daughter here.” He looked at Leon and his team. “An boy it seems that your little rag tag groups needs some breather. Have a seat and take a load off.” He looked around the kitchen. “I’ve got the place stocked up, and some cake around here I haven’t even . . . Ah here it is. Love me some cake, but I just haven’t been up to eating it right now,” he said as he pulled it out of the fridge and sat it on the table. “So what bring you lot out here?”
“Richard.”
“Duh.”
“You asked Old man. But it’s starting,” Serga said as he looked back down the hall. “An my principle wanted these two out of there before the war started.”
“Smart man. Dominique has a secret that could help you,” he mumbled as he stuffed his head back into the fridge.
