The second floor is a storage area for medicines and a break area for Doctors and Nurses. On the south side is the Nurse's station and the north, Doctors. Near the center on the left and right are two different break areas along with male and female locker rooms/shower units. This place has been destroyed and ransacked so many times that there's almost no fabric left on the curtains- just to give an idea what went down. Medicines are completely gone and most clothes and other utensils are broken and destroyed. Trash is littered about (which contains any number of broken items from the hospital). Two corpses of Nurses are lying on the couch in the Doctor's lounge and, ironically, a corpse of a Doctor is found beneath the 60-inch flat screen TV in the Nurse's lounge.

((Andreya and Louis enter))
Andreya didn't move, or even attempt to wake up. That was if she possible could. To her she felt nothing, she wasn't here nor there, and her mind was as black as the voids in space. The only movement to her body was that the car had made. Other than that she was still, almost like she was sleeping, yet the look of pain riddled her face as she laid against the car door. As Louis turned the corner Andreya's head swayed slightly with the movement. Then suddenly out of no where she started shaking, and badly at that. Her body started seizing just as he pulled up to the front of the hospital.
Louis had to pull her out and lay her flat on the ground as her body continued to shake. White foam forced itself up her throat as she started to chock. Her hands drawing up slightly as he body continued to convulse, and after a good five long minutes she finally laid still. She moaned slightly as if she tried to wake up, but her eyes never opened up. Once Louis was satisfied that Andreya was safe to move for the time being, he picked her up along with her backpack, and carried her into the hospital. There was no power, and the hospital felt just as cold as it did outside.
The stairs to the second level were long and trying as he opened the door. To his surprise the second level was destroyed, walls practically torn apart, and paper and junk lined the floor. Blood stained the walls, and the only sign of life was long since gone. As Louis stood there looking around the room, Andreya started to chock and cough as her body started to shake again. Another set of seizures, but after a bit it didn't seem like it was going to end. Andreya cried out as she started gasping heavily as her body continued to flail about in his arms.

Louis turned, staring at a large ground of infected swarming the hallway outside of the room. With a forceful kick, he booted the closest zombie away from the entrance, then slammed the door shut. Pushing a heavy desk infront of the door, he knew it would give him enough time to at least make sure Andreya was alright. Once he was sure the door was block, Louis slid over to her position, and then began to press down on her stomach. After a few pumps, he quickly turned her head over, holding her neck steady as he began to vomit more. He still wasnt quite sure what was happening, but his method seemed to be working better then anything else he could think of, or professional medical treatment.
Louis then remembered back in the Pharmacy, seeing those empty pill cases. Then it clicked in to his mind, Andreya had overdosed on the medication. With his arms, he held her down tightly against the floor, as she stopped vomiting to contenue the convulsions. His mind was working in three different ways. One being glad she wasnt infect, two trying to get the drug out of her system, and three being to make sure that none of the things outside got inside the room. Inside, he was worrying that he couldnt do anything, he didnt know anything about overdosing. It only seemed natural to try and get the drug out of her body. Louis went back to pressing her stomach, inducing her to vomit more, and then she went back to the convulsions as breathing now stopped. Holding Andreya firmly down, Louis screamed out. "Come on, come on. come on!! Breath god dammit!!"

Andreya's body stopped convulsing as she just laid there. Soon enough the beating at the door grew worse, as the wood splintered, and the glass shattered. The undead stood trying to get in, and providing more trouble than anything else. Soon enough a screamed echoed threw the room. Andreya's eyes shot open as she started shaking violently. She started gagging and chocking as she laid there. Forcing herself to roll over, she vomited several times before she started throwing up blood. After a few minutes of throwing up she started gasping heavily.
She laid herself down, more like her arms gave out. Laying down her body continued to tremble as she laid there staring out at the wall. She didn't move besides the occasional shaking her body went threw, and the small cries that escaped her lips. The moans of the undead could be heard from the door, but as they shifted they pinned themselves in the door. Andreya more or less just laid sprawled out on the floor face down as her body shook and she cried between her heavy gasps. Her eyes seeming distant as she just laid there.

The simple barricade finally shook, and then collapsed with the sound of broken wood and glass filling the air throughout and around the room. The onslaught of infected had peirced the makeshift wall, and were now crawling, stumbling, and diving full force through the wreckage and into the lounge area. They all neared closer and closer to acheiving a fresh meal, somehow knowing deep inside their minds that the prey was completely helpless and wouldnt cause any form of resisit to them. They all surrounded the room, pinning the humans against the far wall, moving closer and closer with every step and stumble they took, hungerly craving the flesh and blood of the living... [Enter Logan Byrne, Age 38]
The sound of clanking metal dimmed through the horde of undead, and the second following, a single gunshot was fired into the room and toward the object, as an explosive force sent the whole of the zombies scattering to the sides. Many didnt appear to be moving, while the rest of the stranglers now roamed toward the new threat. A series of loud blasts sent vibrations though the air, hearing the impact they made on the standing zombies. After the room was all cleared of anymore infected, the unclear settlement of a small bomb still loom through the air. Not thirty seconds later, after the air was clear, the sound of shells being reloaded into a shotgun one by one was present. Logan stood in the center of the room, and after pumping his shotgun, spoke out in an uncannily calm but stern voice. "Its best we get out of here. More will surely come... Take missy, and get your ass down the hall..."
Louis only looked with a surprised expression before the man left the room, saying no more to him. With confedence that Andreya would be able to at least be somewheres safe, he picked her and the backpack up, and then walked out of the room. Checking the hallway, it seemed to be pretty clear of any infect, but even more messy now from the wave that marched by. Louis seen an open doorway, and assuming it was the place the man was talking about, he stepped inside. Upon entering, a large steel shutter came down behind him, as the man slammed it into the floor with a boom of metal. Louis lay Andreya ontop of a single bed, resting her head on the pillow, but keeping an empty can nearby.
"Arent you gonna thank me?" Before another word was spoken from Louis, Logan interupted. "Haha, im just pulling your leg, old man... She dont like too well. She not-..." He pulled out a 9mm pistol from his side, aiming it directly at Andreyas head from a few feet away. But Louis raised his hand, slowely but forefully pushing the gun to the side. "No! Shes not infected!" Just then, Andreya rolled over to face off the bed, and then vomited blood into the bucket one last time before finally going unconsious. Louis grabbed the half empty bottle of water from her backpack, washing her mouth and throat clean of any blood that might stop breathing. Finally, Louis turn up to the man, and then spoke. "Shes not like them... Shes just-..."
A loud screeching echoed through the parking lot below the Hospital, and Logan ran toward the window. Smashing it out with his shotgun, he waved his arms at the car parked in the center. Gathering a few of his things into a duffle bag, he hauled it over his shoulder, and then climbed into the ledge outside of the window. Peering below his feet, he saw that theres wasnt much distance between himself and the ground. Turning his head, he turned to face Louis before jumping off. "Well, if love to stay and chat, but I got a ride to catch... In the future, friend!" [Logan Byrne now leaving]
Louis watched as the man leaped from the window, as he ran over to look outside. He was running through the parking lot, and then finally, he jumped into the back seat of the red convertable as it sped out of sight. Before thinking any further, Louis rushed back over to Andreya, and then knelt down beside the bed, holding her hand. She was definitly breathing clearly now, but still unconcious, which was better then vomiting or convulsing. He looked around the room, seeing that this man had built himself a litte safehouse from the place. A bed, a bathroom, lots of non expiring food, a variety of ammunition, water fountain jugs, and even a small power generator recharging through the backup lights around the hospital. But none of this stuff would be any good if Andreya never made it through ok. All Louis could do was sit back, and wait for her to wake up.

Andreya shifted on the bed. Moaning slightly as she did, it was a good couple of hours before she ever showed any signs of trying to wake up. She mumbled slightly under her breath, before coughing out painfully. It was another thirty or so minutes before she slowly opened her eyes. She looked lazily around the room, before her eyes fell on Louis beside her bed. She quickly looked away, and toward the broken window. She felt so ashamed when she looked at him. Her she was majoring in chemistry and she just overdosed on medication. Taking to much counteracted and proved nearly fatal for her.
She closed her eyes tightly as she rolled to her side, panting slightly heavily as she put her hand up to cover her mouth. It was in attempt to cover the urge to vomit, as well as her want to cry. She held her eyes closed tightly as tears streamed down her cheeks. She pulled her knees up to her chest even though it hurt her stomach to do so. She didn't care, all she cared about was what Louis thought about her now. To easily overdose on little medication. She felt ashamed of herself, and what had happened.

Louis stood up shortly after noticing that Andreya had moved on the bed, and then put his hands on her back. Rubbing it gently, he hoped it would sooth some pain, it was the most he could do at this moment. They say that time heals all wounds, and that was partially correct. He was quite confedent all she needed was sleep, if not that, then just to lay and relax in the bed. Searching underneith, he found a flannel blanet, which was surprisingly very warm. Shaking it flat, he casted it over Andreya, making sure it was covering her whole body. Louis smiled, and then stood up straight, looking down at her and speaking quietly and calmly. "Its alright, Kiddo... Your safe now, dont worry about anything cept staying warm and comfourtable..."
Louis enjoyed making Andreya feel better, there was just something about it that made him feel better. He honestly had no reason no to help her, but anybody else would be put last on his mind. He was mainly the one who would rather stay in the shadows, just watching people make mistakes, and not ever coming out unless it was for his job. But something was different with this girl, it made him that much willing to stick close, to protect her. This safe room would be the best place to aid her back to health, and there was no way those infected could get past the steel shutter on the enrtance. Walking around the room, he scanned the shelves for whatever was left over from the other man.
He had seemed to be here for quite a long time, but has it even been that long since the outbreak even started? But he never thought of it again, just happy with what he had left both of them. Louis took off his coat, and then layed it ontop of a table near the wall. Instantly turning to his arm, he flexed the bullet wound, and then unwrapped the ripped cloth. It seemed it was healing very well, but still struck pain whenever he moved it. Picking up a small aid kit from the table, Louis opened it up, slowely going to work on his arm. Hydrogen Peroxyde, Antiseptic Cotton, and a fine wrap of Gause was all it needed, and it made a good seal in place of the dirty cloth. Sitting in the chair, he zipped the kit back up, and then layed back against the wall. Louis hoped Andreya would be alright, it bothered him to see her in pain.

Andreya shifted on the bed as she pulled the blanket over her head. She bit her lip as she tried her best to hid under the blanket. She felt so ashamed that she couldn't look at Louis. Even hiding under the blanket it didn't help, she could still fill his presence in the room. After the couple of day's she had been with him, and all he had done to save her life. She made nearly a fatal mistake. Coughing slightly as she could still feel the flu like symptoms with her. The pain in her stomach worse than anything she had felt before, and then to make it worse her throat was burning.
She couldn't hold it in anymore. She buried her face into her pillow as she started to cry. Her hands gripping the blanket tightly as she continued to cry into the pillow. She coughed heavily as she gasped in between. Choking slightly as she sat up in the bed. She leaned over to the trash can and threw up several times. Each time nothing but blood had come up. Since she hadn't eaten anything, all that was left to vomit was what had been eating away and the blood that settled in her stomach. She panted heavily as she covered herself up again, as she continued to cry into the pillow until she had cried herself dry, and she just laid there panting heavily as she looked at the blanket that covered her head.

After Andreya had threw up once again, Louis was right there with a bottle of water, helping her wash the blood out from her mouth. At several time, he had thought she was dying, just growing ever so closer to falling asleep and not waking back up. But regardless of her weakness, he would never abandon hope for her. Coming all this way, just to have it all end, would make the previous days all pointless. By now, he could hear the zombies outside of the room, scraping at the steel shutter. However, there wasnt as much as before, and even if there was, they wouldnt be able to break through the barricade. He took inventory of everything insde the room, getting a basic amount of time they had left to survive in the safe room before leaving.
They would be able to last a good month at the most, and Louis would stay here with Andreya that long, if thats what it takes. But then, he looked up after hearing a dull moan coming from the wall. He saw an air vent, and the echo of the undead squeezed through the ducts from another room. Louis know he would be able to fit inside, and explore other rooms on the second floor using the air ducts. With a vault from the table, he climbed up inside, then poked his head across and down below to the floor of the next room. The zombies had been all gathering outside, leaving this toom pretty sparce. Crawling back over, Louis jumped back inside the room, and turned to face Andreya. "Hey... If theres anything you need me to get for you... Lemme know..."

Andreya lowered the blanket down from her head. She looked up at him as tears continued to stream down her cheeks. She sniffed lightly as she closed her eyes and rested her head on the pillow. "I- I'm s- so sorry," she chocked on her tears. She just laid there in silence for a moment taking in the silence, before she finally opened her eyes again and looked up at Louis. She sat up slowly, before lunging forward and wrapping her arms around him as she started to cry. "I'm s- sorry . . . I'm so s- sorry," she cried as she chocked one her tears.
She buried her head into his chest as she held onto him tightly. She felt ashamed of herself, and embarrassed around Louis. All she wanted to do was know if he hated her for what happened. Because she wasn't careful of her medication it caused the to fall behind in his search for his friend. She had been letting him down from the first time they had met. Andreya held onto Louis tightly as she continued to cry into his shirt. Her body burned as well as her stomach, but all she wanted to do was to hold onto him.

At first glance, Louis was almost certain that Andreya had turned into one of them, as she lunged toward him. But once he felt the tears, he knew something was really bothering her. She was appologising, repeating the words few times over and over again, and he didnt know exactly why. But he had a certain idea that it was because he was going out of his way to take care of her. He felt her tears wetting his shirt, something was definitly bothering her, because no girl would go this far if everyone was alright. In his own mind, Louis knew everything was fine, because they were safe. Nothing else mattered to him, Andreyas saftey came first before anything. And then he thought that maybe this was a sign that he needed to stop searching...
Joey was important to him, but more important then Andreya? She had been there for him through the outbreak, just as much as he was for her. He would more then likely be still all alone to this point if it wasnt for the friend he had made. Alone was what he was used to, but like he thought when meeting Andreya, there was always something about her being with him that made sense. When she started to cry, Louis put his arms around her, and then patted her back gently in return. "Hey now... Its ok, everything is fine... Whats wrong, Kiddo?" Louis rubbed Andreyas arm with his hand, assuring that she wasnt in too much pain, tryng to confourt her the best that he could.

Andreya held onto Louis tightly as her crying slowly started to calm down. She closed her eyes as she rested her head against his chest. She coughed slightly as she just laid there relaxing in his arms as her mind raced over what to tell him. She couldn't understand how he didn't know what was going on. She overdosed on drugs, and she couldn't understand how he didn't know it. She finally let go of him as sat up in the bed. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and wrapped her arms around him. "B- back . . . back at t- the pha- pharmacy. I c- couldn't sleep. So I t- took some s- sleep medication . . . b- but it must have b- been to much." She bit her lip as she buried her face into her knees.
"I- I over d- dosed on my m- medication," she cried as she chocked on her tears. She gripped her knees tightly as she rubbed her face against her knees. "I- I'm so sorry . . . i'm so s- sorry," she repeated as she started coughing heavily. "T- that has n- never happened before." She cried out as she hugged her knees tightly. Regret for everything that she had done running threw her head. She was slowing him down, and bringing him down with her the longer she had kept him from his search for his friend.

Louis knew she had overdosed on medication, and that is was why she was feeling so sick. But still she felt bad for he actions, and its understandable. He could only tell her it was ok, and that things were better now. The medication had wore off, and she wasnt killed, which was what she should be greatful for. Without the obsticals in life, it wouldnt be a race, and we would all just be mindless zombies roaming around the streets. Life was still full of obsticals to overcome, and the ones who were either lucky or unable to overcome those obsticals had turned into zombies roaming the street. Louis smiled, and then lifted Andreya head from her knees, trying to get a good look into her eyes. "We arent like those, you know... Were stronger. Thats why your still alive, and thats why im still by your side..."
Louis wiped the tears from Andreya eyes with his hand, and then dryed them on his shirt. Placing his hands on her soft face, he used his thumbs to pull the corners of her mouth upward, making her smile. "...And im not going anywhere. Dont worry about a thing, ill be here for you as long as you need me to be..." Louis nodded in assurance, and then removed his hands from Andreyas face, hoping the smile would come naturally. If anyone ever asked him why he does the things he does, his response for would be because it makes him feel better about himself. He always tries to cover up for all the bad things hes done, and Andreya made him realise the life he missed. "...Now, look where we are. Alive, rested, and healing. We could be out there with them, but were in here where its safe."

Andreya sniffed slightly as she looked up at Louis. She smiled weakly as she looked back around the room. She hadn't realized it until now, but they were practically staying in a built in fortress. She couldn't really remember anything past taking the pills, but as for what had happened was kind of obvious to her. She continued to sniff as she wiped the tears from her eyes. "T- thank you," she said lightly as she looked out to the busted out window. The sun was already disappearing beyond the city, and a cool breeze was blowing into the room. She reached up and grabbed his arm as she looked at him with a weak smile.
"T- thank you for staying with me. I'm s- sorry that I've caused you s- so much problems. I p- promise that I will be b- better behaved," she said lightly as she let go of his arm, and looked down at the bed. She had to remember that she promised to help Louis to find his friend, but this was a big city and his friend could be anywhere. She looked up at him a bit regretful, before looking back out the window. "D- do you know of a- any place your f- friend would go?" she asked in hopes of changing the subject.

Louis was surprised she was still determined to help him find Joey, even thought she wouldnt gain anything from it herself. But was he really searching for him all along? Or was it something else that drove him to explore the city? The reason was clear to him why he needs to find his friend, but a reason wasnt needed to be shared with anyone else. Louis thought of everywhere Joey would go, the places he would be right now, the people he might have contact with. Everything was important in finding this one man in the city of hell, dead or alive. He remembered there was a woman, always close to him, never leaving his side. A very pretty woman, seemed to have quite the connection with him. Maybe he need to find this woman, to get to Joey..
"Well, right now... I have no leads, its like finding a needle in a haystack. We could escape the city, go to his place in the Arklay Mountains. But if he isnt there, then we have some problem to deal with, now dont we?" Louis nodded. Finding Joey was his plan, but it wasnt on the top of his list at the moment. He honestly had no way of even tracking down his girl, little lone them finding him. However, Amanda and Rey were definitly two of the only contact in this city that they had, and would help find Joey if help needed. There was always his work source, but they more then likely closed down since the second outbreak. This questioned wether or not his money was still stored safely away in the bank. Although, money was definitly not on his mind right now.
Louis looked at Andreya when he heard a beeping noise coming from his coat. He reached inside of his pocket, and pulled out his cellphone. Pushing a button on the answer, he placed the phone to his ear, with a look of confusion on his face. Raising a finger to Andreya to symbolize to keep quiet for a second, he turned around to answer the call. "Hello?... How did you get this number?... No, that is-... Of course not... Absolutly... Why thank you, but it wasnt-... Hey now, I did what I could... No, dont worry about it... Yeah yeah, I know the drill, dont take me for a damn fool!... Raccoon City Park, eh?... It is? Perfect... Anyway onto the roof?... Thats fine, hows about two?... Heh, though said I was just an old man?... Fine, one it is... Johnson out."
