The Emergency room takes up the entire fourth floor. There are six elevators here to get patients to the top as fast as possible, but none are in service due to a lack of power. It's just a big room with two hallways on each side with a door leading to each on all four sides of the room. The main room is divided up into eight separate patient rooms and, due to the outbreak, this room has been sectioned off even further to help contain the virus. There are metal shutters all around the room, turning this floor almost into a maze. Seeing as there would be no way to get inside without some ingenuity, the medicines and items inside have remained untouched within the patients rooms.

Though the florescent lights in the room were long dull and flickering, Marcus blinked as he pushed the curtains aside, the luminescence burning his eyes. After a moment his vision cleared, and he could take better stock of the room. He gasped in horror. Bodies lie all over the room, still as statues, slumped in grotesque positions, lying where they had died. Blood covered the floors and walls, staining them a deep brown, the color of rust. Assailed by the sudden iron-like scent of dried blood, Marcus cringed, covering his nose with an arm. Casting about, he located a container on a nearby table and crossed the room to it. Inside it contained surgical masks no doubt left here by the doctors. Gingerly he removed one from the box and after a moment of confusion he managed to get it over his mouth and nose. It blocked the smell somewhat and at last he could think straight. Wherever he was, he had knew that he had to get out. That same unexplainable feeling of malice, of foreboding that he had felt before was overcoming him, stifling the very air he was breathing. His heart pounded in chest and his breathing was loud and deep as he tried to calm himself. "I've got to get out of here for sure." he began, in a small, quiet voice, "But just where am I? Obviously a hospital but....where?" Despite his confusion, the fact remained that he had to get out of here as soon as possible. To calm himself, he opened his file, reading silently as he walked to the room door. "Louisiana huh? Wait....meningitis? I had....meningitis?" Disturbed by this news, he closed the file, fumbling for a moment as he shifted to the folder to an arm to jiggle open the handle of his door. If this is a hospital, maybe there's a....directory or something outside. The main room that he now found himself in was no less macabre than the room he had found himself in moments ago. Even more bodies littered the floor, and blood absolutely covered most of the hallway's occupants and objects. Here though the lights were out, and while some light came through the window of his room, illuminating the gristly scene somewhat, it was hard to see clearly for any substantial distance from him. This unsettled Marcus. He had to see, especially to navigate out of here quickly. At his feet lay the body of a security officer, a bullet hole standing out in the center of his forehead. He had no gun, but a flashlight lay near his body and Marcus bent down, looking all around him to make sure it was safe to do so. He picked it up, smacking it into his hands a few times and jiggling the switch before it finally came on, illuminating more gristly images before him. Grimacing with the pure ugliness of it all he clipped the flashlight onto the front of his gown so it would illuminate the area in front of him primarily. There was no directory as he had hoped, but instead he saw metal shutters, blocking off his path in several different areas like a maze. To his left there was an open corridor unblocked by a metal shutter. Only one way to go I guess. He pulled his found scalpel from his pocket just in case and began to make his way down the makeshift hall, eyes and ears wide open thanks to the feeling of panic he now felt rising even more sharply through his chest. "What happened here?" he whispered to himself.

Allister kicked open the stairwell door to the fourth floor emergency room. He looked back down the stairs, to see if his companions were there. They had not reached the top of the stairs yet. He stepped into the hall without them.
Looking around, Allister took in his surroundings. He was in a long hallway, that stretched the entire length of the building. There were several doors along the center wall. Allister walked to one. He opened it and was greeted with a large metal shutter. Allister proceeded to the next one. He was met with the same predicament.
"Damnit what's with these shutters? I need supplies."
Allister looked back to the stairwell door, waiting for his companions, to see if they would have any ideas.

July followed Allister closely to the hospital similar to how she would follow a person she was about to take something from, but at the moment, he seemed to have nothing of interest to her. At least now she knew what a "hospital" was. Back in Collins and her second home, she went by hospitals sometimes, but was never told what they were called.
When she first started walking around the fourth floor of the building, she knew that it was really starting to bug her. However, she knew that this would be some sort of a challenge for her, one that would require her cleverness. Shudders were almost no big deal to her. A few times when she worked, she came across buildings that were closed off by shudders. There wasn't much that needed to be done to get inside those ones. All she needed was either one of two things: her lockpick or a vent she could fit into.
Without saying anything, July took out her lockpick and began feeling around for a place to use it. If she was lucky enough to unlock the thing from the outside, Allister could open it up for her from the outside. She found nothing that could help her with that so that meant that she would need to unlock it from the inside.
Normally, she wouldn't have trusted Allister or anyone else in the group for that matter until she knew that they wouldn't do anything to her or severely damage her work. This time, however, was somewhat of an exception. He needed the supplies and if anything in there was of good use to her, it was free for the taking. All she needed was a way to get inside.
She looked up and spotted what she needed to get in. Above and slightly to the left of the door was an air vent. It was a little too high for her to reach up there, but if the man was willing to work with her, she would be able to reach the vent and get the door open quickly. "Uh..." she paused for a moment. The two never introduced themselves so she did not know his name. "You. Lift me to that vent. I'll open the door from the other side." July pointed up to the vent after giving the order to Allister.

Allister looked to where the small girl was pointing. In the ceiling, there was a vent, large enough for the girl to fit through, but too small for him. Allister raised one of the corner's of his mouth in thought. He didn't approve of sending a child into unknown circumstances unprotected. He ran his right hand through his hair, which he so often did when confronted with a decision.
"The girl has made it this far in this apocalyptic world so she must be able to take care of herself." Allister thought guiltily. He really did need supplies and at the moment he could see no other option. Allister turned to the girl.
"Well, I can't say I'm too fond of the idea of sending you off by yourself, but if you feel you can handle it, I'll help. By the way, I never caught your name. I'm Allister." Allister smiled warmly to the girl and then knelt down beneath the spot where the vent was. He linked his fingers to form a place for her to step, and glanced back up to the vent, still unable to believe he was allowing this.

"July." July introduced herself without smiling back or holding out her hand for him to shake it. She noticed that though he was acting friendly towards her, he was unsure if he should really go with sending her into the air vent.
"I can take care of myself. I don't need you to worry about me." It was the truth. The only thing that could hurt her inside the vents was if one of those monsters with the huge tongues was in there with her. Even then, it would be difficult for her to die. She stepped onto his hands, knowing that her light weight would not be a problem for him and waited for him to lift her up to the vent so she could climb inside. She was still too far out of reach from the vent.
When he finally lifted her up, (whether he thought she was too heavy, she didn't care) July opened up the vent with no help of her lockpick surprisingly. Three of the screws were missing already so all she needed to do was move it to the side and climb inside. She spent more time than desired inside of the vent. It wasn't due to the fact that it took her a while to find her way because it really didn't. The problem was that the vent cover leading to the other room was locked up and the girl had to maneuver in order to kick the vent open. Not an easy task, but at least the job was done.
The next room she found herself in was relatively clean compared to most other rooms she had been in around the city. Things were quiet, almost too quiet for her taste. If somebody needed to be quiet, it would have to be her so that she could take things without others noticing.
July looked back up at the vent as soon as her feet hit the ground. It was still too high up for her to climb back out of. Her only options of leaving this room would be to break one of the windows and climb down four feet or do what she promised and open the door herself. The latter seemed to be more logical and she somehow felt sorry for Allister, so she chose that one.
Around the door, she found computers, none of which were working. Even if they did work, she would have to ignore them. Computers weren't part of her job or her life so she would have to stick to doing things the manual way: picking one of the locks on the doors.
Completing this task was somewhat more difficult to do than opening the shutters in the malls and other places after they closed. Those ones had flimsy locks that were easier to open. The hospital seemed to be more prepared to protect against anything that could be of a threat. However, there were still locks on their that could be picked and picked they were.
It took some work and switching between picks, but she managed to get the job done within five minutes, not exactly a record for her, but better than she was when she first starting stealing. With the job finally done, she tried to open the shudders. This posed to be another problem. She was neither strong or tall enough to open the door by herself. Now, it was time for her to call for help.
"Hey, help me lift this thing!" she shouted to the other side.

Jaime ran up the stairwell of the hospital, elevators were out, he stopped when he saw that the door was kicked down. He entered the room cautiously, his heart beating, blood and guts were everywhere. He looked around, lights were flickering, causing him to shudder slightly.
He shook it off, going back to focus on what he needed to do and began to search for something to use as a source of defense. He had to keep alert, had to make sure he was alert to his surroundings. He searched the room, and couldn't find anything. He swore under his breath.
He didn't know where to go, he pulled out his cell, and checked for service. He needed to call Oliver, know if he was alright.
He swore under his breath again, no bars at all. He sighed, as he headed out of the room and into the halls.
Shutters were everywhere, causing Jaime to feel like a rat in a maze. As he wandered the halls, he could hear someone in the distance. He followed the voice until he came to a shutter where someone was yelling from the other side. They yelled for help to lift the shutter.
He bent down to the shutter handles, grabbing them tightly. "Alright you ready?" He called over, and with all his strength, began lifting the shutter.

"Just lift the damn thing!" July shouted from her side of the shutter. In a few mere seconds, the shutter opened. She released her hand when the shutter continued opening far above her reach. When the shutter stopped opening, July looked at the person that helped her open it.
He was most definetely not Allister. He looked like he was some kid, a couple years older than her. The hell? This is the third kid that's given me a hand. What's wrong with the grown ups? thoughts raced through her head as she looked Jaime over and raised her head to get a better look at his face.
Jaime didn't seem like much of a threat in July's eyes. Sure he was bigger than she was, but he didn't even look prepared enough to be out in the streets during the outbreak. His troubled look conflicted with her stoic one. She refused to let her guard down in case he was hiding something to attack her inside his backpack.
Finally, she spoke but did not hold her gun to his head as she had done with the other people she had come across. "Who are you?"

Upon seeing the girl on the other side, he rose an eyebrow. She looked to be no older then 11. She looked grungy, but he had to admit, she looked better then a majority of the people in this town did right now.
Upon her question he chuckled, "Pleasant little thing aren't you." he stated. He sighed, "Sorry that was rude of me."
"My name is Jaime." He told her, he didn't bother to put his hand out to shake hers. He had a feeling she wasn't the pleasantries type. "Have you seen or came across anyone by the name of Oliver Danvers or Moira Michaels?" He asked, hope in his heart. He prayed that she may have run across either his boyfriend or his sister during her time in the city.

July's grip on her gun tightened. So far, he seemed to be the only truly friendly person she came across inside the city besides Christopher and the kid from the fire station. This still did not change her perception of him. He was looking her over at the moment and, by looking at his raised eyebrow, he was surprised and possibly annoyed by her. Oh well. Let him think what he wanted about her. Not like she really cared.
Jaime was lucky, though, that she was not short tempered like the rest of her team and that she was feeling like being nice to him. If he was around any others that were in her group back in Collins, just the tone of his voice could earn him a beating. She was just being, what was the word?...lenient.
"I ain't from here so I don't know 'em." July answered honestly. She once again looked over Jaime and asked a very important question. "You got anything to help you? A gun or somethin'?"

Allister waited nervously as July climbed through the vents. He slowly paced back and forth, wondering what would be at the other end of that vent. He heard July kicking something. It must have been a cover for the vent. He heard her drop into a room and held his breath, listening for any signs of attack. After a minute of stressful silence he heard her call to help her open something, probably one of the shutters. Relaxing, he drew his desert eagle and walked slowly through the halls, trying to find the source of her voice.
Turning the corner, Allister spotted July with another boy. He cocked his eyebrow, wondering what another kid was doing in a place like this. Allister replaced his handgun in it's holster and walked towards the two. Reaching them he stopped and smiled.
"I see you managed to open it. Sorry it took me so long to find you, this place is pretty big. Who's your friend?" Allister motioned to the boy July was with. Waiting for a response, he glanced into the room she had opened. 'Perfect' he thought. It was a large operating room. There were plenty of cabinets, hopefully filled with vital supplies he would need. Allister ran through the list in his head. He needed additional syringes, and with any luck, some liquid coolant to resupply his cooler. Smiling, he turned back to the kids.

"Just some kid." July didn't bother in introduce Jaime to Allister. If Allister was really interested in learning who Jaime was and his relations with July, he would have to ask Jaime himself. She followed Allister back into the room and began rifling through the shelves for anything of good use. So far, nothing that would spark her interest. There were a few tiny knives, whatever they were called, but there wouldn't be any use for her. She came across other little items such as clothes, sponges, bottles of medicine, and a few other strange items. Nothing good for her to use. Nothing extremely valuable.
With some difficulty, she climbed on top of a nearby bed. It was only slightly more comfortable as the only beds she'd ever slept in that she could absolutely remember and just as cold. She felt some pity for anyone that would even consider laying down in one of them. At least the pillow on the bed offered a little bit of comfort.
While Allister went through the sheves and drawers, July took the time to think. She was in somewhat of a hurry to get to at least one of the two places she was ordered to go to and the rest of her "family" was anxiously waiting for her to return with information and valuable stolen goods. However, it wouldn't have been a good idea to head off on her own. She needed somebody to help take over with something that she could not do and Allister seemed extremely intelligent, enough so that he could help her before she never saw him again. Her decision was made up, she would wait for him to be finished and demand that he go with her to find information.

Allister merely smiled and shrugged at July's response. In the operating room, he began rustling through the drawers and cabinets. In one drawer he found a good number of scalpels, however the majority of them were rusted and unusable. Allister placed the good ones in a pocket on his vest and continued his search.
In one of the cabinets, Allister happened across some wrapped syringes, exactly what he needed. Being wrapped, they would undoubtedly be sterile, and for accurate tests, he needed sterile tools. A large smile spread across his face when he found something else in the cabinet that he had gone far too long without; a bottle of iodine. Allister silently cheered to himself as he thought of the many uses for iodine. After his short session of rejoice he continued his search.
Allister pocketed some gauze, medical tape, stitches, an extra pair of forceps, and an extra pair of tweezers. He had basically everything he needed, except for the coolant. Allister continued his search of the room, and found what he was looking for in a locked cabinet. Locked as it was, it's rusted hinges made it easy enough to open. Inside was a large cooler. Allister rubbed his hands together, and quietly tipped the cooler onto it's front.
"Damn, this things heavy." Allister breathed as he strained to slowly lower the cooler without making too much noise. After a bit of repositioning, Allister managed with only a few minor noises.
Looking at the back of the cooler, Allister quickly found the coolant reserve and liberated it from the appliance. Examining it, he realized he would need to jerry rig it to his input valve. After a little more scavenging, Allister selected a few valves and short lengths of piping. Hooking them together, he took out his cooler and attached the coolant supply to it. Listening hopefully, Allister released the valve and heard a hiss. Relaxing he waited a short time for his own reserves to fill sufficiently. It was a horrible method; there was no compression, only equilibrium, but still, it kept his cooler working.
Finishing, Allister packed up his cooler, and took a second to refill the clip of his rifle with spare ammunition from his bag. When the task was completed, he slung his rifle over his back, turned to July, and smiled.
"Okay, I'm all set. What now?"

July did not smile back, although she actually considered on doing so. A few years back, a member of her "family" once told her to smile more in order to get things out of people. "Little girls have the ability of Manipulation. Just smile and you will get what you want." Bri told her. It was soon said by the leader, "Manipulation? You need to work on Intimidation. Don't smile and you'll get what you want from people."
July never got to understand the difference between whatever "manipulation" and "intimidation" were, but decided to stick with whatever the leader told her and did not smile. So far, some things seemed to have been going her way although she was not around enough different people for more than a few hours. This time might be different for her and her "intimidation", whatever it meant, was going to help her get what she wanted and needed with little or no questions asked.
"I'm goin' to the cop house." she announced, naming off the first of her two destinations. She hopped off the bed and stretched her body. She was more than ready to leave the hospital. The smell was too strange for her liking and the place was too calming in her eyes. In other words, it was too boring and out of the way for where she needed to be going.
Without waiting for a conformation for where she would be going, July headed to where she needed to be going. If Allister wanted to stick around, he was free to join her, but she was getting through with being sidetracked.
(July has left the Hospital)

Allister raised a questioning eyebrow as July bluntly announced where she was going and walked out without another word. Staring questioningly after her for a moment, Allister shrugged and chuckled.
"I'll never understand kids these days." he laughed to himself. Drawing his desert eagle, Allister peered around the corner and spotted July just entering the stairwell. Smiling to himself again, Remus shook his head.
"She's got spirit, that girl." Remus said to himself before quickly hurrying after her.
*Remus has left the hospital.*
