"Oh no! That guy out there has no idea what's going on. I have to warn him!" Rolena ran to the window, making sure that there were no zombies nearby. "Get inside! It's not safe out there... Never mind that last part! As long as you don't **** anyone off, you'll be safe in here! Those things are transforming!" Rolena took aim again, and took of the head of another zombie. 2 more were lit up by the flaming arrow, and the first living fire zombie started to flare up all over. It started to melt, and it also started to fall apart.
'Good, the fire is working. I can probably find something in here to light them up...' "Hey, can you spill some oil? I'm pretty sure some cars have oil in them still!"

Matthews was genuinely surprised at the ingenuity of the girl... He'd never tried fire before, then again, it wasn't often that he had anything flamable, or anything to start a fire...
'I gotta remember that trick...'
Rushing out into the street, he quickly made a beat to the nearest car, checked the back...
'Damn, no oil...'
He went for the trunk next, bashed the lock with the butt of the M870, and checked, he was in luck, there were two containers full in the back of the trunk. Taking these out, he opened them up and poured the oil in a nice thick trail in front of the store. Ushering the new guy in, Matthews closed the door, turned to Rolena and gestured at the oil...
"Would you do the honors?"

"Sure, no problem." Rolena didn't want to waste any more arrows for she already lost 2. She quickly made a paper airplane, and lit it. She threw it just far enough to hit the edge of the oil, which sparked up like a firecracker. "That should do the trick. Now it would be nice if you gave me that key." Rolena rolled around and picked up 6 lighters and 20 breath spray canisters. She also picked up some tape. She taped together a lighter and a canister to make a mini-flamethrower. She tested it, and it worked-about 3-foot range. "Good, that should work."

Inside, July knew she had taken the key though her eyes and body hid the fact that she did indeed have the key. There was no way she was prepared to return the key. She never returned any item she'd stolen unless she was caught stealing from the higher ups in the gang.
"I don't have your key." July once again denied.
She looked at the other people and how they were working with fire. She wasn't entirely impressed. In fact, she thought it was really stupid. A person didn't have to be a genius or know a lot about science to know that oil and fire combined could equal chaos, especially if nobody knew how to put the fire out when the flames got out of hand. She saw the chaos happen in all the years she lived with thugs.
Slowly, she began to walk away from the group of people, making her way towards the back door to be away from the flames in case something happened.

Alex grabbed the arm of one of the undead, thrusting it downward into the car, forcing its claw to wedge into the metal. He then took the moment to see Matthews come out, and Alex also managed to get a glimpse of their plan. With a bit of shock, Alex hurled himself over the car, leaving the zombie alone to pry itself from the trunk, and he began dashing towards the Pharmacy. “No! No no, not good!” He reached one of the windows, avoiding some of the fire that had been directed at a staggering zombie, “Love the contraption, but let’s not turn this lot into the blazes! Fire burns, fire grows, fire spreads! Man, lose control of the thing, and there goes this lovely building here!” He then cracked the window with his weapon, finally clearing away glass and climbing in.
“Feel free to continue using your little device there, just… Keep a tad away from the rest of us, that thing could backfire any moment, and I’d rather not have my face burnt off. Okay?” Alex said to Rolena, brushing glass off himself, checking his weapon for any dents or problems. His black pants were slightly scorched on the left side, but the fire had not breached the fabric. “Now, thinking on your terms, we have any kind of catalyst for the flames that might be located in this building? I suggest tossing any oil around the entrances would be a lot safer than just setting fire to every vehicle out there. But then again, nothing’s really safe anyhow,” he continued, locking his weapon onto its strap.

Turning to look at Alex, Matthews stated, "Why do you think I only spread it around the entrance?"
'It's life or death here, there's gonna be risks involved... But he's right, I should probably find something to make sure it doesn't get out of control...'
Looking around, Matthews spotted a fire extinguisher toward the back of the store. He walked to it, broke the glass containing it, and pulled it from the wall. Keeping it in one hand he then looked around, and spotted a soda machine nearby. Using the fire extinguisher like a bludgeon, he bashed open the the machine, took a can of Dr. Pepper from inside, and grunted to the others, "Drinks anyone?"

Rolena rolled over to July. "Hey, if you're not gonna give it back, then fine. You and I both know that you stole it. But can you please check this lock for me, since you're obviously not just going to give it back? I promise that I will stay a good distance away." As she waited for July's response, she grabbed a Root Beer from the machine. "Hey, whats-your-face, I can handle my weapons, and even if you do catch on fire, that's what the fire extinguisher is for."

July stared at Rolena and said, "Fine, but I'm getting half of what's inside." The smaller girl still didn't fully trust Rolena, but she did ask nice enough and July felt a little bit of sympathy for the stupid thing with fire she helped with.
July walked to the safe and took out her lockpick rather than use her key. After a minute of fiddling with the lock, it opened, but she left the door closed. She would open the safe as soon as she got something to drink.
Instead, she walked to the machine and looked at the labels for the drinks. She couldn't make out any of the words on the labels, but she recognized a few. Hmmm...I don't like the stuff in the brown-ish can...I hate the stuff in the red can...I don't feel like drinking the stuff in the green can...I guess I'll take the stuff in the blue can. July reached in and took out a blue can of soda. With ease, she opened the can and began drinking.

Matthews turned to Rolena "For in case the flames get out of hand and we need a way out... Doesn't matter how tough you are, fire burns anyone..."
Finishing his statement, and his soda, he dropped the can and crushed it beneath his foot with a resounding crunch.
"Nice job by the way, don't think I've seen anyone toting a bow around in this s*** before... Let alone a bow with flaming arrows..." He stopped to take another Dr. Pepper from the machine, took a drink, and started again...
"Alright if were gonna be here a while, might as well stock up..." Turning back to the machine he picked out a half-dozen more cans of Dr. Pepper, two cans of coke, three cans of pepsi, and a sprite... Then stepping away from the machine he started browsing the shelves for medical supplies. Neosporin, disinfectant, guaze, whatever he could find. Two minutes later he had put together a medical pack that easily fit inside his bag.
Looking around, Matthews wandered back to the reason he came here in the first place, 'Alright, where's this frickin safe room?'. Having no luck in finding it yet, he wandered back to the others. The others were wandering about the store looking for something, Rolena and Alex toward the front, July was toward the back lloking at something, he couldn't tell what. As Matthews gaze shifted to July he froze for a moment, hanging from the ceiling above her was one of the spear-tongued devils from before, and it was about to strike.
Matthews dropped the extinguisher, took his knife in his left hand, sprinted across the room drawing the attention of everyone else except July and the beast, both were too concentrated on what they were doing. Matthews reached out with his right hand, grabbed the beasts tongue and yanked it down from the ceiling. Using his knife he nailed its tongue to the floor keeping it from escaping, then he drew his .45 and put two bullets into its exposed brain. When it stopped struggling, he pulled his knife back, put a third bullet in it to be safe, and then went back over to the machine, took one more soda, (a pepsi this time) and drained it, before picking up the fire extinguisher again and continued looking for the safe room.

(Before the long-tongue struck) "Thanks, but I don't think that that's the type of loot you're looking for. It looks more like some sort of secret lab, probably has something to do with the outbreak. The umbrella-like symbol inside looks kinda familiar."
Rolena went inside and searched around, as the others scavenged the outside. She found a pill container that said "Anti-Virus" on it. She heard that there were anti-virus pills for those who were infected, and quickly shoved for containers in her purse. 'If I'm infected, I don't want to take any chances.'
She found some document folders, and flipped through, not understanding much, except for that umbrella was behind the outbreak. As she continued to search, she heard a bang. She ran out into the main area, and found that Matthews had shot a strange creature near July. She saw that he had been cut in the hand by it, most likely from the tongue. "Umm, dude, your hand is bleeding." She figured that he could handle it, and a pack of bandages, bandage wrap, and anti-bacterial medi-spray.

“Nice show, nice show. Doesn’t get much better than that though, how many more of those things are crawling around this joint?” Alex said, walking over the monster and kicking the carcass with his right foot. He cringed slightly as the flesh dissolved slightly and fell inwards into the structure, “Can’t say this thing wasn’t best off dead…” He sighed, remaining silent for a second before finally becoming aware of his surroundings. When Rolena had exited the room, Alex quickly took notice and slipped inside, not exactly with stealth. Though, still swift enough to avoid disturbing the others.
“Man, someone’d fetch a penny for this, any of it! Hell, I could spend hours packing up the values!” he exclaimed, snagging one of the documents off a counter to the left of the door. He lifted himself onto the table, leaning against the wall and flipping through the pages sprayed with text and diagrams. Sure, most of the information was probably already common knowledge to the world, but not everyone knew that. The papers, models, and demos probably still had some worth to the right people. Still, the reality was, most of it was too bulky to carry out of the lab. He’d have to make a note to return later, that is, trusting most of the lab stayed in tact.

Wrapping his new wound Matthews stepped into the lab with the others, looking around Matthews noted nothing that struck him as important. Files, notes, beakers, and bottles, but nothing that would relate to surviving.
Hearing Alex talking about money at a time like this somewhat annoyed him, "There are a lot more important things than money right now... Like survivng..."
Then, turning to the other two, "You two find anything useful?"

Rolena thought of the antivirus capsules, and wondered if they would attack her for them. "Umm, I found some Anti-Virus pills in that room back there. There may be more, and I'd rather try them than go zombie. There are probably more containers." I'll help try to find some. She looked in a cupboard, and found a shelf full of pill capsules. She found some with the word Anti-Virus on them, and put them up top, about 7 of them. "Okay, there you go."

July said nothing when the creature was attacked above her. She didn't even know that something was above her. Even if she did know, there wouldn't have been enough time to react so she pretended that she had no clue what was going on above her head.
After chugging down the drink, she simply tossed the can off to the side and headed into the door she just opened with her lockpick. She took a quick look at what was inside. Nothing caught her interest. Nothing in there was giving any clues to what she was sent to Raccoon City for and nothing looked like the items inside could be sold for good money.
Even the boxes of the "Anti-virus", whatever it was, didn't impress July. Even if she managed to take some home with her and sell it at a nearby pawn shop, it wouldn't be worth anything good.
"Useless..." July muttered. She turned to Rolena and said confidentally, "You can have all of this crap."

Taking a few containers of the anti-virus, Matthews popped a single one of the pills, swallowed, and then recapped the pills and put them away.
Turning to Rolena he gave her a quick nod and a monotone "Thanks..."
Walking back out into the main room, Matthews took note of the state of the room. The fires out front were still burning and keeping pontential enemies at bay, the other doors in the room still looked sturdy enough that they could be barricaded, but zombies weren't what was bugging him right now.
'I thought that first licker got in through the doors and just stayed there, but that second one had slipped in without notice...' Looking up Matthews realized that the ceiling wasn't as strong as he thought, and was in fact missing a few tiles in some places. 'Did they come in through the roof?'
Moving back to the secret room they had found, Matthews looked up and was pleased to see a sturdy metal roof covered the back room.
Moving once again to the front room, Matthews grabbed a loose shelf amd moved it so that it was blocking one of the other doors leading out of the store. Afterwards, moving another shelf to block the door that lead out to the burning inferno they had started. Having finished, he went back to the others, stating only, "We should be pretty well barricaded in now, just watch the ceiling..."
