"...Its either that or we take the streets around it. Please, that 'coming up from the graves' stuff is so... Full of it..." Katie laughed, but was reassured by science. The zombies couldnt possibly come up from the ground. But then again, out of everything she had seen in this city, it wouldnt be as far fetched as she would think. Katie and Jake both moved away from the inn, and past the streets, heading toward the cemetary gates. "Well just have to move quickly..."

Jonathan walked through the doors to the Apple Inn with the same confident, slow stride that he had become acustomed to. The interior of the Inn was better than he had expected considering no fire damage was visable - it had been rebuilt by the looks of things, and according to the map on the wall, it was a maze of corridors and rooms. Jonathan sighed and rolled his eyes, "Brilliant! Just bloody brilliant! D*** things in this city are all made to drive a man mad."
Jonathan reared his fist back and smashed the glass to the cover of the map and pulled it out. It would serve him well for reference as he was searching the rooms for the lead that he required. He popped his knuckles before smirking and starting down one corridor beginning his search.

The Group Arrives
The group entered the area with out any communication from Ahote, But as the reached the street out side the famous, Apple Inn.Ahote stopped, Closing his eyes, Concentrating his sense's. There was nothing hostel in the area as of now, and the herd of ghouls that were fast approaching on them were left in the dust. he reopened his eyes and dropped to one knee. Checking the clip in his .45 and the head on his tomahawk. He looked at the girl. and then back to the man, Noticing he forgot to introduce him self.
"I'm...sorry, Names..Ahote Ch-...Just Ahote Excuse me, I...Dont talk alot."He grunted, Slowly as if it was painful to speak."How much ammo do you guys have left...Be smart to check." Ass he Was kneeling he rolled his pants leg up so he could check his ankle, it was swelling he was going need to get a professinal to look at it if he didn't stop walking on it soon. "Dam, One of you...Two don't happen to be a Doc 'er nothin would ya?" Ahote said, Rich with a Deep Unusual accent "And, The Hospital here, Aint That Hospitable anymore...."

Once the three had entered the Apple Inn, their sprint had began to slow into a jog, until ultimately they'd stopped in the middle of the reception room where they figured it was safer. The newcomer had now introduced himself to Jesse and her as 'Ahote'. A very big and intimidating man. Kind of reminded her of her dad, which was slightly positive and slightly negative since he was, you know, dead.
When he checked on his ankle, he'd recommended they'd check their ammo supply, then asked if one of them were a doctor. Clarissa had went through her bag's side pockets to see she had atleast one clip and then checked her weapon, so she'd clicked the release button, a magazine dropping out into her palm. Taking a look and popping it back in, she'd had more than half of her magazine. So Clarissa would make do for now.
"Sorry, he's a writer and I'm 16. Can't really help much, but I do know that you need another splint, lots of gauze to keep your ankle straight and probably some painkillers and rest. Lucky for you, I have some medicine!" she told him, digging into her backpack.
Eventually she just turned it upside down and dumped everything out. Two water bottles, four cans of soup, a ratty old composition book, a pen, a pencil and then a medium sized box. She'd opened the box and shuffled through it's contents to find some gauze and the bottle of meds.
Jesse, do you need any medical attention? I took firstaid! Er, was a C student, but hey, atleast I know some stuff!" she added, giving Ahote the gauze and two aspirin. She even went as far as handing Jesse some water. Normally she wouldn't share any of her find with anyone, but they did help her out alot so she kinda owed it them. Besides, her dad would want it that way.

Nodding his head to the other man, Ahote, Jesse was a little thrilled to be having him around. He seemed like the kind of guy that he would only write about in his books, the largely built, tough as nails soldier in this zombie apocalypse. But of course, this was real life, and it was more of a thankful godsend that they met up with him. Jesse was never in a group of three before, always either on his own or with one other person for a couple of hours. His revolver was out of ammo, but he took the time while they were escaping to fill it back up. It was inconvienent to only fire six rounds before a slow and painful reload was needed, but it was better then nothing. "I have a handful of these 38's in my pocket, and six in the gun, so not much. But no, im fine, Clarissa. Gonna go scout ahead, you two stay in here and get him fixed up." Without waiting for a response, Jesse took off into the hallway, in search of any danger inside of the Inn.

Ahote looked at the girl, as she handed him the meds and the new role of gauze, he looked her over, she was young. To young he wondered who she'd manage to live so long already.Ahote sighed as he Stood up, putting the role of gauze in his dumb pouch and swallowed the aspirin. "I have better medication in my pack, Hell I have a field medic kit, Its made for a surgeon's hand not mine though...plus I don't wanna disapprove of her kindness, it's a rare trait now-a-days." Ahote stated in his mind.
Ahote Watched The Girl Pick her Stuff up off the ground, Noticing The four soup cans, and chuckled."Here, Let me return some kindness..."Ahote Unzipped his dump pouch, feeling the familiar packaging of his Calorie pack's It was heavily vitamin laced, And the size of a Large Rice crispy Treat, The package it self was a bright silver, He also removed his canteen of purified water, half full from his use earlier.
"That one bar is enough for one day, Try it out... And here is some water since you Gave some of yours to Jesse..So you guys want to Get out of the city right?... I could help, But.." Ahote Motioned to his leg" I'm a little busted up Might slow ya down, Jesse Be careful, Ghouls are tricky, check your corners first."Ahote Looked threw the door way of apple Inn, Down the road, The pack of ghouls that had been herding them self down the road were continuing down the road. were coming into vision again"Great.... Clar..Be a dear, Help me find something to block this entrance. I'd Rather not deal with those at the moment."

Clarissa nodded a little and waved a bit at Jesse. "Yeah, becareful, never know what the hell's roamin' around this place," she incquired after Ahote. Jesse had given them a reassuring smile before wandering off to scout ahead, leaving the other two survivors on their own with much barricading to do.
When Ahote taken Clarissa's help and returned some of his own, she looked down at the packet and squeezed it a bit. She'd never heard of it before, but hey, it was food. Plus she hadn't eaten all day or yesterday, could be in handy in a minute.
Upon hearing Ahote ask her for some help with the barricading, she immediately did as she was told, moving over to one of the benches in room. There were two benches, five comfortable, yet ripped up, chairs, two broken doors and some potted plants. The reception desk was one of thise island desks, attatched to the floor, so it was useless.
Grabbing the bench, she started pushing it toward the doors while Ahote went for the other bench. Clarissa took the time to start up conversation. "How'd you hurt your leg anyway? If you don't mind my asking, that is," she said, pushing the up against the doors and going for one f the broken doors next.
((Sorry, I was sick...still am, but I won't be absent anymore. D= ))

Coming out of the room was almost too difficult, she looked so peaceful sleeping on the couch. Breaking the gaze from the smile in her sleep was nearly impossible, but then I remembered the bloodstains on her boots from coming in the door earlier that night. I left the room to see the tracks leading into the bathroom, they would no doubt leave an orange, rusty color on the tiles for years to come. What the woman had been doing prior to this encounter was something that would have to wait. My mind was like a two sided coin all the time, half wanted the girl to leave immediately, but the other half wanted her to stay, curious as to what went on.
As I passed by the kitchen, I noticed the car door was still open, easily seen from the bright light that emitted on the rear view mirror. It had been raining heavily that night, and out of respect for the woman, I left the house to close her door. It was the least I could do at this time, save her from getting rainwater on the leather seats of the newly bought Nissan SkyLine. However, something unthinkable happened as I closed the door, it was caught on something. Bending down to peek inside, I saw the body of a police officer, the hand sticking out. As if I wasnt already spooked, a posse of spotlights came running from the woods, other police officers, threatening to fire if I didnt cooperate with them. This was turning into one hell of a night.
~ Jesse put down the manuscript on a table, almost frustrated with it. You know how when your reading a good book, but then the power goes out, and you dont get to finished the page you were on? It was exactly that feeling, only Jesse was the writer of the book, and the missing pages turned the broken story into even more of a mystery novel then it was even intended to be. But suddenly, there was a loud banging coming from the window to the right, and he rose up his Revolver and flashlight. Seeing one of the infected pressing his mouth against the glass, almost as if he was trying to bite his way through, Jesse could see the lifeless reflection in his eyes from the flashlight. It wasnt getting through anytime soon, but just to be save, he slid over a bookshelf in front of the window to make sure it wasnt going to.

Clarissa Made her way over to the one of the benches and tired to push it, The bench offsetting her push, Ahote chucked as he made his way over to her, And Helped her Push it to door way, And a few minutes later they had a semi decent barricade, Just as the infected had reached within thirty Feet of the door. "Saving, Another survivor Like I did with you guys, Not Like I was much help....Well..Hopefully That works for a barricade, Wouldn't want those ghouls breathing down our necks.Ahote Said awkwardly, seeming as if he wanted to change subjects fast"Jesse...You All right man?"
Ahote Said as A loud shifting was herd in Jessee's Direction Ahote immediately Snapped his gun up into the shadows, readying him self for the worst. "Clarissa..Get behind me.."

Clarissa had listened out for Jesse's reply which hadn't came. Slightly anxious, she stepped forward to go see if their friend was alright when Ahote told her to get back. Normally she'd wave her hand and keep on truckin' but the sound of urgency had informed her it was for the best to do as he said.
Somewhere off in the shadows of the halls, there'd been a faint clicking noise from within. She wasn't sure what it was but it didn't sound like footsteps that of a human's. The teen reached toward her holster concealed under her first layered shirt. She could feel eyes watching her and it wasn't very comfortable.
"Jesse...?" she called.

With the windows in the room all blocked off now, Jesse felt much more safe. The east wing of this place was now all barricaded off, nothing was going to be getting in through this side at least. He just put faith in the other two to manage a barricade for the other side of the bottom floor. Spending another good ten minutes checking out the rooms, most of the doors had been locked, which indicated there were no infected inside. Even if there was, they couldnt break it down, so they were safe. As remaining rooms were completely empty of anything, even a large majority of the electronics had been taken, bedsheets, blankets, everything was gone.
Coming back into the lobby area to check back up on Clarissa and Ahote, he stepped out of the darkness to be greeted by guns, along with two on their toes survivors. "Easy, guys. Sorry for the fright, guess I shouldve spoke out sooner... I got the east wing blocked off..." But in that instant, there was a screech coming from behind Jesse, as he was flung forward across the room, rolling into a wall. Though no cuts had been present, the impact left him out of breath, and with a sharp pain in his shoulder. Standing back to his feet, Jesse yelled out to the other, seeing an open door leading to the upstairs rooms. "Come on, this way!"

Ahote took Didn't Even take a moment To Think, The situation Had registered to him, just like it had Time and time again. And He barked an order. his once quite and almost broken voice Filling with power. "Jesse Take Point, I'll Guard Our Rear, Clarissa, Give Jesse cover fire, Find a Safe Haven we can barricade our selves in. No matter what happens, don't look back."
His words Stung Like Salt on a open wound, He was in the worst shape of them all, But He Wasn't going to let that stop him as he positioned himself in front of Jesse and Clarissa, And the now growing faint clicking, turning into a Echo of a demonic scream, What ever was in the shadows, didn't want them there, or alive. Ahote lifted his tomahawk, Putting it in his free hand. Looking back to the two survivors."Go!"He shouted as he trained his vision back into the shadows.

Twobit pulls into the lot right up to the door and was out the car door and to the inn door quicker then he could have hoped. When he looked back as he opened the door he saw the two zombies close to the front hardly had time to turn around. closing the door and aiming his 1100 shotgun at the same time, he did a wide sweep of the area with his aim. seeing that it had been cleared already, he secured the door and investigated. seeing a broken glass case he realized someone had taken a map. Seeing some destroyed zombies down the hall he took the first room closed and locked the door.
the room was rather empty and the bed was still made. he layed on the bed and with his 1100 next to him with a buckshot then slug then buckshot then slug then buckshot rotation. he closed his eyes thinking of the girl he left behind in las Vegas, he had only just met her and after one day he really liked her but then he decided to leave. "s*** i decided to leave before i met her!" he muttered at almost a whisper.

waking up with the first rays of the sun, robert stood up and left the room. Noticing that the lobby was still and no trace of anyone else robert headed to the entertainment room, well anywhere there would be a bar. If he knew his father there would be signs of him in a bar. Entering the bar which was a ever beautiful lounge he noticed three bodies feasting on another.
Sending the first buckshot round into the three threw them a couple feet. Bang, a slug through ones head just as it was getting to it's feet. The other two were stubbling to get to him and made the mistake of bumping heads and at that moment robert sent another buck shot round into the forehead. Only 4 feet from the barrel of the 1100 the shot had little time to spread and blew both heads apart!
After a quick search of the bodies which had nothing of importance, Robert went to the bar to inspect the stock of segrams 7 whiskey. finding only a about 4 shots left in the bottom told him someone who had a lot of 7/7s had to have sat here.
"could be dad" said robert while searching the mess of papers and blood on the ground. Another clue as robert held up a tiny screw that is used in a old record player that his dad used to have. His father always had spare screws in his pockets for random items. "One day i will remember what its for" Robert said as he remembered his dad. "he would be happy that i remembered what this one went to." kinda feeling it odd that he remembered something from before the first infection. then he noticed something else, another twelve gauge shell. He must have been here when this first went down, thought Robert. "if i started to notice the outbreak a few days ago then he must still be here in the city."
