The park is, or rather was, a beautiful place full of monuments, flowerbeds, and decorative walkways. There's a huge monument in the middle of a man stepping up on a pedestal with a pistol in hand and an American flag in the other. This is a monument to those who died within the original outbreak of 1998. Although by now the park is swarming with zombies and countless other infected animals. It's safe to pass as long as a survivor can outrun whatever may be stumbling or sprinting around the area. It's a pretty good sized park, but it's mostly turned into a desolate wasteland now.

Louis sped the car along the street, heading north to the park. There was quite a lot of damage and such done to the road, so driving wasnt as easy as he thought. Gliding over the bumps, he nailed an infected that stepped out infront of him. The car turned right, just grazing the side of a building before smashing into the City Park gate. Before impact, Louis placed his arm across the passenger seat, holding Andreya firmly in place and escape from harm. However, as a result of his actions, his head slammed into the driver side window. Falling chest first into the wheel, it made a honk for a good five seconds, before he came to and moved himself back against the seat. Blood dripped down into his left eye, as he saw a dim red through his vision.
"Damn... Are you... Ok, Andreya?" Breathing heavily, and holding his throbbing head, Louis pushed open Andreyas door, and then he got out of the drivers door himself. Ignoring his head, he reached in the smashed backseat window, and then hauled the duffle bag over his shoulder. It strapped on tightly, making it hands free, but signifigantly heavier. Looking across the car toward Andreya, she looked fine, or at least unharmed by the wreck. Louis on the other hand, wiped blood from his face, but it quickly rushed back down his cheek at a fast rate. Pacing ahead of the street, he kicked open the loose gate door, and then enetered the City Park. He knew from expirence that this was no place for screwing around in, they had to make for open ground if they wanted a chance to make it through alive.
While still holding his head with his left hand, Louis used his other hand to aim the .45 forward. His vision was still dimmed red, but it was passable, and he coulds still hit a target if he had to. It wasnt that he was ignoring Andreya, but he did press onward without stopping to chat. Seeing small group of undead blocking the east gate, Louis pointed the gun in there direction, and then pulled the trigger. Two of the shots took town one of them, but the other two shots missed completely. His aim was really off, thanks to the red dimmed vision. Flicking on his LED light, he finally took down the rest of them with several shots. But when he took his hand off his head to reload the gun, he felt more blood gush down onto his shirt now.
Louis gritted his teeth in pain, and quickly pressed onward. Moving across a stone walkway, he felt his head give a jolt of pain. Quickly holstering his gun, he leg go, leaning against the railing of the walkway. "Were... Nearly there. Just... A little... More this way..." His head was stinging in pain, but he stopped for nothing, he had to move on. The duffle bag on his back was weighing him down from moving much, but they needed everything inside it. Finally reaching the end of the walkway, Louis could see the open area just over the gate, but then suddonly he collapsed back onto the handrail. Checking his watch, he peered at the digital display. "Ten minuits... Nearly there! Just gotta go a little further..."

Amidst the crowd of living dead aimlessly walking around Louis, oblivious to a meal that was waiting to happen, a lone individual zombie went towards him. This was a peculiar one as Louis saw. It's clothes was torn apart and ragged like the other infected, but this one was different. Its skin was blood red, and unlike the others, had unusually long sharp red claws for nails. With a loud hungry groan, the Crimson Head shambled towards Louis in the hopes of nourishing itself with fresh human flesh.[/i][/color]

Andreya knelt down toward Louis, putting her own hand against his head. He was bleeding pretty badly, but he kept moving almost like he was on the clock. She remembered him saying something about the clearing, and looking up she could see it not to far from them. She bit her lip as she looked around trying to think of what to do, and that's when she shaw it. A walker, but not like any other. It looked as if it was practically covered in blood, or rather it's skin had just melted away exposing it's muscle tissue. Andreya reached for her back pack, and pulled out the gun that Louis had given her before. Taking careful aim with trembling hands she fired off three rounds, but missed completely.
She cried out as the creatures turned from Louis and lunged at her. Andreya think as quickly as she could scurried out of the way just as the walker struck the railing. She ran around him, as her hand shuffled threw her bag, pulling out one of the vials she had created a while back. Shaking it up until she felt it growing hot in her hand, she threw it in the face of the crimson head. And just like the walker at the University it's face started melting away, but unlike it this one continued to move. Andreya threw her book bag on her back, and took the duffel bag from Louis. She grunted slightly as she realized how heavy it actually was.
Andreya moved Louis back just a bit, as she turned, and fired off the last three remaining rounds of her gun. The walker finally collapsing to the ground, but still seemed like it had a fight left in him. Andreya couldn't pay that any mind, if it caught back up to them then they would have to deal with it when the time came, but Louis was on a schedule, and she needed to make sure he made it. Helping him she dragged him toward the clearing, praying hard that nothing would get in their way. It was a long walk, and a hard struggle for Andreya especially since she wasn't build or had the strength for this. Still they finally reached the clearing. "L- Louis?" she asked lightly as she looked at him. "A- are you g- going to be okay?"

Louis rested himself against the railing, his vision now almost completely blinded by what was happening. Gunshots surrounded him, but so did the sound of a monster. He wanted to reach back inside his coat, and open fire with his own gun, but the pain held him back. But just as fast at it began, he felt himself being carried along, out of the danger he assumed. Wiping some blood from his eye, he saw the new creature, ironically bloody red as his vision, creating a dark crimson figure. But when they were in the clearing, and the creature didnt approach them. Louis had dropped down beside a tree, leaning back, tyring to get his bearings down. Putting more pressure onto the gash in his head, he breathed heavily.
However, through the corner of his eye, he saw the creature approaching them once again. This time, running at an alarming rate of speed. Its claws were ready to tear through Andreya, her body wouldnt stand a chance. Louis pulled out his .45 and fired several rounds away from her, and toward the creature. After his clip was empty, he dropped his arm, holding his head in pain again. The creature fell down, finally, and he put the gun away, exchanging magazines for the last time. Louis looked up at Andreya with the redly dimmed eyes, and smiled assuringly. "Ill be... Just fine. Its just my damn head... Think you could help patch em up, kiddo?" Louis' head was in rough shape, it was one injury he hadnt taken before, and would certainly leave no scars for other to admire.

Andreya nodded weakly as she looked up at Louis, and then looked back at the fallen walker. She sighed with a bit of relief and regret on how hard Louis was taking a hit to the head. Though granted he was taking it a lot better than she would have. She set her backpack down on the ground, and opened it up making a mental note on having to rearrange things for better quicker access. Pushing the food and drinks aside, she pulled out the medical kit along with some lose medical supplies. Opening it up she took a quick survey of what she had. Putting on a pair of gloves she reached up to place pressure on his wound, and then added gauze to the pressure. She continued to pack it until the bleeding had slowed down. Andreya pulled the bloody gauze away, and pulled out a wet sterile dressing, wiping the blood from his head, and then pulled out the butterfly stitching.
Taping the wound closed as best as she could, she then put another set of gauze over it to control any more bleeding. Taking a rolled Klein she wrapped his head up tightly, and then took an ace bandage and went around it once more. Once she had secured it she made sure that it wouldn't slide off his head. Not to mention the pressure from he bandage would hopefully provide a bit of comfort. She took another clean wet dressing, and wiped the rest of the blood from his face. Once she was one she pushed all the bloody bandages to he side, and removed her gloves. She then packed everything up and pulled out her headache medication. Breaking the pill in half she handed it to Louis, with a full pill of her iron supplement. "T- take those," she said lightly as she looked up at him. Her eyes gazing over him to make sure there wasn't anything else wrong. She handed him a bottle of water along with it. She sat down beside him, and sighed heavily. "A- are you going t- to be okay?" she asked again still worried about him.

Louis sat back and closed his eyes, lowering all motion and breathing to a minimus as Andreya went to work on his head. Within a good four or five minuits, he felt the wound more comfourtably, and then quickly downed the pills with water. After finishing up the whole bottle, he dropped it at his side, and then breathed heavily. It wasnt very cold, but it was wet, and thats all that matters. He smiled at Andreya, and then nodded, as he did. "I feel a lot better after that... Heh, thanks Kiddo." Louis heared the faint sound of pattering in the air from a far distance away. He jumped up, and then stared into the falling sun, trying to catch a glance at the chopper. He could see it coming, safety was finally here for the both of them.
Louis heard the chopper coming closer and closer, and soon, it was hovering a few hundred feet above there head. The look on his face, he knew that extraction would come, it was just a matter of waiting long enough, or rather surving long enough to see it. But suddonly, the chopper hung far left, as its blades were bent out of shape from hitting the side of a building. As it plummeted to the ground, a loud explosion followed not long after. "Nooooooooooooo!" Something must have happened to the pilot, they wouldnt have just did that for no reason. Someone on the inside mustve did it, and Louis was ready to get to the bottem of it. "Hand me the bag, and lets go! Whoevers behind this is still in the park!..."

Andreya stared in aw at the fire ball, and was quickly snapped to when Louis told her that they had to move. She looked up at him and nodded slight. She handed him the duffel bag, and put her own back pack on her back. "W- who would d- do this?" she asked as she looked up at him, and quickly followed after him. She was worried about him, mostly because of his head wound. At one moment he was down, and now he seemed like he wasn't even hurt at all. It worried her a lot to see him moving like this, he should be resting, but even she knew that it was impossible at the moment. When we get to a safe place, she told herself as she looked at him running.
She happened to look to her left, a pond that was once home to the alligators. An yet there laid out among the broken fence was the bodies of it's inhabitants. Andreya sighed as she realized that nothing human nor animal was safe anymore. Though she happened to see something bubbling under the water, and then realizing what was happening. She ran forward pushing Louis out of the way as a hunter jumped from the water. Andreya screamed out as the hunter landed on top of her, it's claws cutting her across the face. She screamed out again as she brought her hands up to block its next attack, feeling it's teeth sinking into her right arm.

Louis rallied two rounds upon the creature, knocking it off of Andreya. He darted forward faster then the creature could even stand up back on its two legs, and gave it an upward blow to the chest with his boot, sending it backwards into a tree. Its feet never left the ground, but its momentum hit hard as it slammed against the hard surface, then fell back to the ground. Louis stood infront of Andreya, giving away his left arm to bring her to her feet, while still aiming at the creature with his right. After she was safely standing, he aimed the .45 with both hands, and took several pot shots at the fiend as it rose up. Hitting it twice in the upper torso, one shot severed its neck, causing it to scream out in agony as blood sprayed from the wound.
Louis was in action of walking up to the beast, and putting a bullet in its head, but he knew it was dying and wouldnt put up another fight. They just jogged onward toward the wreck, as he grabbed Andreya by the hand. He led them both toward flames, standing from a safe distance away. Louis backed Andreya away from the heat exposure, but as he did, something ran out from the fiery wreckage toward him. Pushing Andreya to the side, he then felt the corpse jump onto him, singeing his arms from the flames. "Gah! Sh-!" Gritting his teeth in pain, Louis kicked back the body, then watched it blacken on the ground until all movement stopped completely. A single tear streamed down his face, as he holstered his .45 and then knelt down onto the ground, flexing his burnt arms.
After biting his lip, Louis stood up, and ran over to check on Andreya. The attack didnt seem to harm her any, it was the hunter that got to her. He was convinced that all the first aid kits had been used up already, making this recovery signifigantly more painful and explosed. But on top of all that, his head was pounding from the quick movments and action. But he pressed on, taking Andreya by the hand, and then jogging away from another attack. He didnt care why the chopper crashed, it didnt matter, only that it would be a long time before control find out he was still in the city alive. After getting away from the wreck, the pond, they were finally out in the open. Stopping for a breather near a stone fixture, Louis flexed his arms once again, and then looked at Andreyas wound. "So... How bad is it, Doc?" He asked somewhat sarcastically.

Andreya looked up at Louis as she looked around. She bit her lip as she brought her own hand up against her face. The remembrance of the claw coming down across her face still fresh in her mind, and the stabbing pain of the teeth sinking into her arm. She shuddered at the thought before she shook her head. She used the sleeve of the pharmacy jacket to wipe the blood from her face. Still she pushed the thought away as she looked up at Louis. "T- thank you," she said lightly as she removed her backpack with her left hand trying not to use her right as much. She sighed a bit as she pulled out the last roll kline and a sterile water. Walking over to him she took his arms in hand and looked them over.
"T- third and s- second degree burns," she said lightly as she pored the water over his arms, and then slowly began to wrap his arms. "T- they will be okay. We j- just have to keep c- changing the dressing every once in a while. At l- least twice a d- day," she explained as she looked around her back pack and sighed. "I w- would give you the s- second half of the h- headache pill, but I d- don't know how it w- would react to you. I don't know if you w- want to be tired or not," she explained as she looked up at him. She smiled weakly before looking away. She sighed a bit as she looked around the opening.

Louis tried to push the bandages away as Andreya applied them, he would much rather she used them for herself rather then for him. But, she wrapped his arms up neatly, not giving him a chance to change his mind. Hes already been through a lot, and would go through much muh more if it was to see Andreya safe and alive. Every now and than, Louis noticed her looking at the cellphone, and he knew that she was explecting someone to come for her. But hes seen it many times before, nobody ever comes, he learnt that the hard way...
Louis pushed a bookshelf up against his apartment door, trying to block it from the things outside. They were scratching at the door for days and days, but soon they seemed so normal, and the sound of his empty stomach blocked them out. Over and over again, he yelled for anyone else alive in the building, calling anyone he could think of to come. Waiting around for days, he knew that nobody would come, he would have to just leave on his on. Once those things got in, it was all over for him, at least thats how he imagined it. Thats how it ran through his head, all other hope was gone. He gripped the shotgun, and closed his eyes. He wasnt staying here, nor was he going down without a fight...
Louis flexed his arms again, feeling the cool water run across every but of his burns, then the damp bandage keeping them free of any climate infection. After awhile, he got used to the pain, and was able to flex his arms well enough to fire a gun. That was one of the only things that mattered right now, being able to fire a gun. Checking his .45 for the rest of the ammo, he knew he was low. Saving the rounds for a rainy day, he put it inside the duffle bag, and switched to his primary. A secondary wasnt needed when he had another set of eyes with him, Andreya made a good field. She picked out the undead before him, he was getting old anyways.
Louis stood up, and then patted Andreya on the back twice with his right hand, holding his left on the SMG. But something crossed his mind about the creature that attacked her. It bit her arm, and scrated her face. They obviously werent too strong hits, because she was able to manuver well enough to patch him up. But then he thought of the chance she might have gotten infected, that was the last thing that they needed right now. When Louis fought the creatures, he made sure not to get hurt by them, taking any form of impact from their forceful attacks, but just making sure to avoid and contact with their slashes. But she was cut by them, and explosed to there blood, which now got him worried. "Hey... If you were attacked by them, those scratches... And that bite... Wouldnt that mean, that... Your..."

Andreya looked up at Louis with wide eyes when his sentence broke off, but then she smiled weakly as she looked back to her back pack. What did it matter anywise if she turned, it wasn't like Thorton was going to come for her. If by any chance he was already dead, and she prayed that it was quick and painless. She on the other hand knew that if she was infected she wouldn't have the same blissful death, to be honest she was terrified to die, but it wasn't like life gave her to much of a choice. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily. Life was always cruel to her, she never had a past, and it was looking as if she was never going to have a future. It hurt a lot to think about it, and she was deathly terrified of dying.
Sighing again she picked up her backpack and held it in front of her. Her mind racing on what was going to happen, and yet there was some sort of understanding there. Without the feel of being needed or wanted, and feeling of dragging Louis down the longer she stayed with him. Maybe it was for the best that her life end so soon, but she never had to like it. She never had to like being thrown to the sharks so early in life, but yet . . . yet there was that faint bit of satisfaction when she thought about it. Andreya hung her head as she zipped up her back pack, a faint smile still held on her lips. Life was always cruel to her, and never seemed to go the way she wanted. Maybe it wasn't meant for her to be a part of this world, maybe she wasn't meant to be a part of anything. She sighed again as she looked out into the darkness, her hand gripping her backpack tightly. "I d- don't know," she spoke lightly as she closed her eyes. "B- but the o- odds are great." She sighed a bit as she just sat there not moving. "D- do what ever y- you think is necessary," she spoke quietly not moving, and maybe hoping that the other side was better than what this life had to offer her. Praying that Louis would be able to move on to find his friend and they make it out safely. There was so much, but she didn't know what to do anymore . . . she never knew what to do.

Louis put his hand on his SMG, it was an instinct that he wouldve liked to just avoid. Knowing that Andreya turning was evevitable, but still, something stopped him. He dropped the SMG to his side, and then put his hand over his eyes. Not because his head was throbbing with pain, because he couldnt believe that he could let this happen to her. The fact that he hadnt seen it coming, all of those nightmares her had in the past nights, they werent about him. They were about Andreya, and thats why he protected her, it was something he did subconciously now. But it was too late for that, hed already failed to do his job, to make sure she was unharmed. That chopper was the way out of here, and all hope was gone.
Louis made a fist with both hands, one of them tighter then the other. With a quick shot, he jetted a punch, sending it towards the tree behind him. Taking his anger out on the solid object, he punched again, and then again. Until his knuckles were bleeding, he stopped, and then rested his head against it. Was there even a purpose to keep going? He had already read the end of the book, he could just guess what the final sentance read. But he couldnt just give up, there would be as much point as if he just waited for her to change. She was still alive, and still by his side, the same person he knew all along. Until the moment comes, he would still fight, and never back down. He grabbed turned around, trying to hold back a tears, and then spoke out in a stern voice.
"No, im not leaving you yet... I would never do that..." Louis' phone beeped several times, as he reached in his pokcet and took it out. Opening it up without looking at the display, he held it with both hands, and snapped it in two. He didnt want any job right now, there were more important matters to attend to. Even if he could call another chopper, he would have to leave Andreya behind, and thats one thing he wouldnt do. Louis walked down the park, expecting her to follow him, he knew she was. But he stopped, and turned around to face her, hoping he would turn around to the same face. "Where do we go from here? Its not my choice... Its something you have to decide for yourself. Dont worry about my plans, they arent important. Where do YOU want to go? Ill take you anywhere you want..."

Andreya looked at Louis as he turned back toward her. She smiled weakly glade that he was staying with her, and yet disappointed at the same time. She knew if she turned she was putting him at a great risk, and yet she also knew that she wouldn't put up much of a fight. She couldn't do that to begin with. She sighed a bit as she closed her eyes, before looking up at the full moon. The cold chilling wind whipping around them as they stood for a moment in silence. She thinking about what she wanted to do. Run away, be free of all this pain, and all this suffering, and yet she knew that she had made a promise. Not to mention in the end it didn't matter, if she was infected she wouldn't be able to leave this city let alone alive. So the hope of freedom, and the hope of seeing Thorton again was thrown out the window.
"Please be safe, Thorton," she whispered under her breath as she looked up at the full moon. Even if she wasn't safe anymore, even if her life was down to a timer, all she could do was pray that Thorton was safe, and that Louis would be safe in the end. She closed her eyes again, taking in a deep breath before slowly letting it out. She turned to look at Louis with a weak smile. "I have a promise to keep," she spoke lightly and for the first time without a stutter. For the first time in a long time she had found someone she was comfortable with, someone who was just like Thorton. She nodded her head before looking around the park.
"Life has so much to offer, but I have never been able to experience it to it's fullest," she said lightly as she looked up at the moon. "School was the first taste of freedom I ever had, and for a good four years I have had the life I wanted. Granted It took me forever to catch up to those in my grade, but in the end I enjoyed it. It was a pain and struggle that I chose for myself, not anyone else. I just have one regret," she spoke lightly as she looked back to Louis. "I just regret not meeting a friend like you sooner." She smiled lightly as she walked up to him, and put her left hand on his shoulder.
She nodded slightly before she pointed to the other end of the park. "If I can chose what we are to do next," she said as she looked up at him. "I remember making a promise a couple of days back. I my not know how long I have left, but I will help you find your friend as long as I can." She smiled as she looked around the park. "That is all I want to do . . . that is all I wanted to do. You have helped me so much I am grateful for. Finding your friend is all I can do now."

At this moment, Louis didnt want to find Joey. There would be no way to find him, he could be in Japan for all he knew. He had no more contact with HQ, no briefing, not even mission security. Whatever Joey had done certainly wasnt a part of his personal vendetta, and Louis couldnt care less if he lived or died. Being in the city made him realise it wasnt about work anymore, it was about survival more then anything. "I have no way to find him... All of my hunches were failures, and now I have no contacts. But what about you? Surely you must have someone left..." Louis had never asked until now, it was something that, if it was important, wouldve been adressed earlier. There was still hope for something, they couldnt just wait here to die.
Louis reached inside his pocket, and pulled out the small map of Raccoon City & Arklay Forest. Browsing it over a few times, he hoped to find somewhere they could escape to, make another safe house away from danger. This park wasnt exactly the best place to stop and chat, and the longer they stayed here, the more chances they have of being attacked again. Folding the map up, and handing it to Andreya, Louis nodded as he normally did. This was her last hours of Raccoon City, and he would love to see something good come out of it, something besides just waiting to die. It was never his cup of tea, Louis always wanted to do something about the situation. "There has to be something, someone, somewhere... Think, Kiddo... Think..."
