Mind now fully in control, but vision too blurry to even see what was going on, Arc lay on his back, grasping for the bottle that fell from his hand. He knew that inside was the only thing he took to supress his changing, even if it was temporary. Why hasnt Amelia put any into his mouth by now? His ears had been deafened by everything happening inside of his head, but through the dull echo, he could hear Amelia yelling to him. Through the nearly shut eyes, Arc could match her lips with the tone of yelling, asking him what he took. But even he didnt know what to tell her, because he didnt know what was in there, only that its whats been keeping him alive. "Theyre... All gone?" He spoke out in a raspy tone, still grasping for the nonexistant bottle in his pocket.
It was than that through his slow heart beating, everything was going slow, as if time was coming to a stop. It was than Arc put things together in his hand, and knew exactly what was in the pills. Its what they were looking for all along. They were all gone now, and only one other thing he knew would stop him from turning and killing both of the women now. His vision was still too blurry to see, and he could barely even hear himself talk, but Arc spoke out in the raspy voice. "Shoot me..." Reaching up to Amelias side, he brushed his hand against her holster, and placed his hand on her gun. But she removed his hand, knowing that she wouldnt do it, or let him do it. "...In the arm... Adrenalin will... Kick in... Its me... Im in... Control now..."

Amelia thought for a moment, then frantically began digging through her bag. She pulled out an empty syringe and a small clear bottle with a white label and red cap full of clear liquid. She jammed the needle through the cap and filled the syringe. "This is epinephrine, it will speed up your h-" she cut herself off. "Damnit, I just gave you a sedative, this will blow out your heart." She continued digging through her bag, then stopped and thought for a moment. "Arc, those pills, were they small and round?" she asked him. He nodded, and she continued, "What color were they? This is important, be accurate. Pink, green, tan, blue, lavender, teal, white, yellow-" she stopped speaking when Arc nodded at yellow. "Yellow? They were yellow?" He nodded again. Amelia quickly reached into her bag and pulled out a small bottle, popped the lid off, and poured a few pills into her hand. "I'm pretty sure you were taking blood thinners, which would have regulated the thickness of your blood and stopped it from turning sludge-like when you cooled off from the rage episodes." She shoved the pills into his mouth and waited for results.

Laying back, keeping his eyes closed shut to concentrate on Amelias speaking to him, Arc nodded at each of the questions where it was appropriate. All this time, he had been taking different things that he thought might do the trick, all of which he assumed to to painkillers of some kind. But a blood thinner? That was something he wasnt expecting, though with how she explained it, it made perfect sense now. If the blood inside of his body was infected, than a blood thinner would reduce the effects, this preventing him from losing control. Being nearly forcefed them, Arc swallowed the pills, and then used what moisture he had as it his disposal to get them down, that, as horrible as it sounded, being blood that had not yet dried.
At this time, Arc wanted to open his eyes, and see the color again when it wasnt a hue of red. The pills werent taking effect yet, but he wasnt to move on his own, to control himself. Using his strength, he backpeddled away from Amelia, and then used the bedframe to stand up, or at least turn around and fall onto the bed. Raising back up quickly, he turned to face Amelia, and than opened his eyes. The redness was gone, and his vision had been much better now. He didnt know how to thank her for what she done, but it was just lucky that she was around. Before getting the chance to thank his new friend, the bloody mess behind Amelia came intro view. "...What happened to her...?"

Amelia was surprised Arc didn't remember, then hesitated for a moment before answering. She decided to spare Arc the truth.
"One of... the infected from the main room wasn't quite dead... I guess. It stumbled in here while Katy and I went to scope out the area. I'm sorry. It must have caught her off guard. Katy is... pretty upset."

A crack of thunder boomed out, and it shook the room for a second. Arc looked at Amelia, then back at Jessica dead on the floor, and than back at Amelia. "Im sorry for getting you into this, both of you. Jessica too. I shouldve done this alone, then none of this wouldve happened." But at the same time, if Arc did go alone, Amelia would be there to treat him as far as hed come. It was a constant war between being all alone and keeping everybody safe from himself, or risk the lives of the people around him and depending on them to be there for him when he changes.
Tasting the blood in his mouth and in his throat, Arc knew something was up, but he just wasnt thinking about it too hard. Not like it made a difference anymore, whats done was done. Looking at Amelia, seeing as Katy wasnt in the mood for coming back into the room, Arc spoke out. "Why do you even bother with me? Why not just leave me alone, why try helping me when it only puts you at risk? I never understood that with anybody who was ever around me. Anna from back at the checkpoint included. No matter how much I change, for the worse, people still try and help me. I dont know if I can be helped anymore..." It would take more than a good doctor to fix him, but Arc still planned on seeing that trip to the Tricell lab through. It was the only thing left to have faith on.

"I guess I don't really know why I'm still here. Maybe I just know a person in need when I see them. If there's a cure, we'll find it, I promise," Amelia told him. "I'm gonna go talk to Katy, go lay down."
Amelia stood up and walked out of the room. Katy was sitting on the last step of the staircase at the far side of the room. Amelia walked up and set down next to her. She whispered, "Arc didn't remember doing it. I told him a zombie killed Jessica. No use in making him feel worse." Katy sighed and leaned against the railing.
"It's our fault..." Katy told Amelia.
"No, it's not. It's not Arc's either. Debating who's fault it is isn't going to get us anywhere," Amelia told her, sternly.
"I know, I know... damnit, poor girl."
"We'll burry her-- it's the least we can do. Come on, we should sleep here tonight. We can take turns watching Arc, making sure nothing like that happens again."
The two girls stood up and walked back to the saferoom.

Accepting that some people are helpful, even when they dont need to be, Arc did as he was told, and lay down on the bed. In all of his time spent in Raccoon City during all of this, he never once came across a doctor, a sane doctor anyways, one who knows what they were talking about. Amelia had no idea of his condition. How it happened, why its changing him, how to cure it, everything was a blank. But she always acted as if she knew what she was up against, and thats what Arc liked. He was ninety nine percent sure that this was the doctor he had been searching for, the one that would be able to save him.
Listening to Amelia and Katy talking in the hallway for a little bit, Arc lay on the bed. He couldnt make out what hey were saying, but it was obvious that Katy seemed a little worried. Not for his own well being, but for the survival of her and Amelia. The feeling in his stomach though, he couldnt shake it, it didnt feel right. As the girls came back into the room, Arc held himself over the bed, staring at the floor. "I... Ca-" Just as he tried to speak, a sickening sound filled the room, and Arc had vomit blood onto the floor. Along with the liter of blood, there had been bits of flesh, and thats when he figured it out.
Vomiting several more times, Arc didnt feel sick anymore, he felt better. A human stomach wasnt meant to eat any of what he did, and just thinking about it made him start to fear himself, even if it was just a little. This was the first time he had lost complete control, to the point where he didnt even remember his own actions. Wiping the blood from his mouth, Arc lay back on the bed, closing his eyes and wheezing slightly. "Those pills you gave me... They work... But you didnt have to lie to me..." Thinking about Jessica now, it made him feel worse, but there was nothing he could do about it now. "...Do we have anything to drink? Anything at all?" Arcs throat had been dry from the blood. It was a horrible taste that would no doubt stick with him. It was one thing to smell the dead, but another to taste them...

"I didn't want you to have to dwell on... this," Amelia began. "You're telling me you wouldn't have rather not known?"
She reached into her satchel and pulled out a small, plastic 12-ounce bottle of water.
"Anyway, I have bottled water," she told Arc, extendeding her arm out to him, holding the bottle. "Well, I have instant coffee, too, but... unless we can find a place to heat up the water... or if you'd want to drink it cold... those are the only options. Take your pick."

[Hal, Allison, and Louis are now at St. Michael's Clocktower]
They approached the entrance of the clocktower. A military humvee-style jeep was backed up to the doors, which were shut tightly. Allison felt along the hood of the vehicle, it was hot.
"It's still warm, whoever is inside arrived recently."
Lightning struck across the sky and thunder boomed. The wind was picking up and the rain slowly turned to a mixture of hail, which pounded against every object in its path, furiously. It began to get somewhat difficult to retain balance. Allison pushed the door inward as hard as she could. The large, sturdy door scraped across the tiled floor and opened a few inches, before getting caught on an object and sticking in its place.
"It's barricaded," Allison told the group. She yelled through the crack of the door, "Anybody home?".

Thinking about the opportunity to get some caffine in. Arc had been addicted to it for the longest time, ever since they started using it on the soldiers. He remembered back to his days of the war, they used a combination of caffine and cocaine, for whatever it did to make them better. Maybe it was one of the reasons for the mutation to be acting the the way it was, maybe not, but it sounds pretty convincing. Grabbing the bottle of water, and beginning to take a drink of it, as soon as Arc heard the word coffee, he put his attention forward. "Yeah, ill take the coffee. Might keep my mind active, supress the growth, or something"
But at that time, there was the sound of a woman coming from the hallway outside of the saferoom. It was a survivor, calling in to see if there was anybody inside still alive. Stepping forward, Louis looked through the gap in the door, seeing that it was all blocked off unless cleared from the other side. Arc hear them trying to get inside, but it wasnt happening. Grabbing for his gun first, however, Louis kept it low, aiming it at the frame locks on the doors that were barricaded. He wasnt sure if he could shoot through or not, but he wasnt going to hesitate on finding out. "Ten seconds, and then im in there..."

"Alright," Amelia said to Arc, underhand-tossing the plastic container of instant coffee to him. Less than a second after Arc caught the coffee, the main door in the next room skid open a few inches and a woman called in. Her voice could barely be heard through the rain and thunder. "The hell..." Amelia said aloud to herself, putting her right hand on the holster of her MP9 and slowly approaching the door. Katy, who was in the main room at the time, had already noticed and was removing the barricade cautiously. Amelia made herself visible through the crack in the door and replied to the newly-found survivors. "Hold on, we'll let you in. Try anything and you're dead," she told them.
Allison put her hand infront of Louis' pistol when it became apparent that they were going to be allowed in. Responding to one of the brunette woman who spoke inside, she told them "Don't worry, we're friendly."
Once the barricade was removed and the doors were wide open, Katy and Amelia infront of Allison, Louis, and Hal. Nothing was said for several seconds.

When Allison put her hand in front of Louis' gun, he had been a little shocked that she didnt keep hee had a big thing about trusting survivors, regardless of who they were. Even poindexter behind him couldnt be trusted, but the only reason Louis didnt make a big deal about it was because Hal couldnt do anything to hurt him anyways. Putting his gun back into his holster, Louis just looked at the two females, back and forth. The silence in the clock tower had been followed with some cracks of thunder, and the door closing back over as Hal did so with out anybody really asking him to do so. Louis was about to speak, say something about how they were the second and third pretty lady he met in the last few days, but the pilot spoke out in a stuttering voice. "We uh, um, seen the lights, and then the scream. We kn-knew that someb-b-b-body was in here, and wanted to come check it out for ourselves. Im with the BSAA, im here to help."
Louis had been holding a laughter as the guy spoke, what a joke he was. There was nothing he could do to help anybody, shy of saving their ass from a rooftop, which he remembered and kept his grin to himself. Stepping forward, and seeing the infected corpses littered around the area, he nodded his head and then spoke out again. "...Looks like some people just cant handle Vegas... Which one of your lovely ladies screamed?"

Amelia was happy to see another BSAA agent, it was always reassuring to have more of them around-- even if this one didn't exactly look like he could hold his own very well. She extended her arm for a handshake. "Captain Amelia Robbins, STARS," she told him Hal, identifying herself. "Recent BSAA recruit, as well."
Katy was still upset, but managed to put on a half-genuine smile. "Katy Stevens," she began, also extending her hand to Hal and speaking to the group. "Nobody in particular," she shrugged.
Allison interrupted, "Alright, enough with the introductions." Hal mentioned the scream promptly afterward.
Amelia sighed and glanced over to Jessica's body, which could be seen in the next room. "Damn," Allison said. "What happened to the other half of her?" she asked, coldly, poking at the fact that the body was clearly missing a few chunks.
Amelia sighed again, "One of the infected got to her and we didn't make it downstairs in time. The lights you saw were probably us on the tower balconies."
Katy ran her hand through her hair and began walking calmly in the other direction, toward the saferoom and Jessica's body.

Following Allisons lead, Louis stood and looked at the body too. It didnt look like any real infected, something much bigger done this, but it wasnt really an appropriate time to bring it up. He mightve been an a**hole, and a good one at that, but clearly one of the ladies had been upset about it, still out in the hallway. Not long after that, however, there was another door slam coming from across the hallway. Instantly whipping around to aim his gun, another man came in, wearing nothing but a pair of cargo pants and large boots. He was soaked, but judging by the reactions of the others around, he had been with the group.
Before Louis could even say anything about him, the geeky man, Hal spoke out in a tone without even studdering. "Griff! Its you!" Hal moved over quickly, checking over his arm for some reason, probably making sure he wasnt attacked or something. "Lost my radio some time ago, been meaning to try and contact you somehow, but guess it just slipped my mind..." The whole time he talked, Arc had felt sick to his stomach. The reason he was out there in the first place was to wash off the blood, but also try not to throw up from his meal not long ago. Hal Looked him up and down, and than back at the two he was with, not quite sure if they knew about his condition. Allison and Louis were oblivious, he knew that much, so it was best he kept to himself about it for now, and not ask. "Well, its good to see you again... HQ gave up on the search, im sure you knew about that."
Louis wasnt exactly sure what was going on, but leaving the scene, he put his gun away and then looking around the clock tower a bit. There wasnt any sounds of infected, and the doors were definitely strong enough to hold out from any infected, if there had been any out there in the first place. It would be good to have some downtime, maybe even catch some sleep or something, at least for the night. Allison mustve felt the same, she looked tired, and so did the others here. Looking over at his partner, Louis spoke out in a simple tone. "So, what now?"

Allison thought for a moment. "No idea," she told Louis, still confused about the convenience of running into Hal's friend. "This place looks fairly secure... it might be nice to get some rest," she commented, glancing over in the direction Katy walked off to, who was now sitting on the saferoom bed, reloading her shotgun.
"You two know eachother?" Amelia asked Arc, gesturing to Hal.

With the first instinct being to tell Amelia that Halbred was just real good pilot, and that hes not a friend of his. But the truth of the matter was what it was. However, Arc knew that he was the only friend that Hal knew, so he could admit that they knew eachother well enough to be friends. "Surely maybe youve gotten some word on a BSAA Agent going missing somewhere in Raccoon City. Well, thats me..."
Pulling out his knife, Arc wiped off the stained blood with the carpet under them. This was the only thing he was worth doing here in the clock tower, they were obviously going to be waiting until tomorrow to get to the chopper. That is unless Hal mind the group use their chopper, but the question will come up later. "Yeah, we go way back... Hes been covering for me back at HQ."
