"I doubt you had a file on everyone in the BSAA north american branch." said rebecca, looking at her with predatory eyes. "Im Rebecca Coleman, people around here have come to call me 'Wolf', and 'Mother Wolf' because of my Mutation due to exposure to the T-Virus." Rebecca's Wolfish grin emerged with Reapers widening eyes, "that's right, I'm what you would call a super-human. Im also like you 'Stray', I was once a member of the USS, second in command of the 'Wolf Dragoons' until Umbrella betrayed us in alaska."
"Okay Wolf, enough teasing the new girl." Joanna said, glaring at her occasional partner. people might call her foolish but she felt protective of artemis, despite only having known her for a day or so. having each others backs in a firefight usually made people create strong bonds, though the strength of her feelings was stronger than what would normally be felt at this stage. Joanna couldn't fathom why.
"now that introductions have been made, lets discuss the tactical limitations that will hamper us in terms of armament and equipment that we will be unable to bring on this op." Joanna turned to Artemis, "since this facility is underwater, we need to know how thick and strong the walls are. we're up against a monster but we cant be killing ourselves by making the facility implode while we're fighting him."

Artemis looked at Wolf. She was a bit taken back that an organization such as the BSAA would even have Super Human’s working for them, but then again this was a time for strange things. She sighed a bit as she pulled the pad closer to her. “To be honest imploding the lab would probably be harder than you think,” she said as she scrolled through the contents on the pad. “Each section and each lab is separated by a bulk head. If one lab is to leak or flood the lab is automatically sealed off. The only way to unseal the lab is by a combination of codes. It then follows as soon as those doors open the doors to the hallway seal. Then your required another set of codes to open then. It the same think all the way through the building. There is a set of two hundred and thirty two codes throughout the labs. An no I do not know them all, but I think the security lab has all the codes.”
She sat the pad on the table and slid it across the table. “Cronus Island does not exist on any map.” She reached over to the map that was located on the pad and enlarged a section in the Artic. “It’s going to be a cold trip,” she pointed out. “The island will never show up on any map, and it is an artificial island created to hide Hades the lab that is under it. When Umbrella created the lab the island was created to house the staff and their families.” She bit her lip for a moment before she sighed a bit. “Everyone on the island believed that when someone left the lab or quit they were escorted off the island. In truth they were killed in order to keep the island a secret. Only a select few know the true location of the island.”

"we cant do anything for the dead," joanna said, "all we can do is take down Kyle. and since we dont have to worry much about imploding the complex or families on the island, we dont have to worry about collateral damage." she looked at artemis, "you can swap out that UMP for a short barreled ACR with AK rounds. since it'll mostly be close quarters the bigger rounds will do much more damage." she smiled at her, "and you can take whatever you want from the armoury, we'll take what we need and a lot more for this mission."
Rebecca grimaced, "no kidding, the enemy is expecting us, the battlefield is completely under their control and they can isolate us where ever they want until we get to the security lab. And even when we get there, Kyle can still decide to initiate the self destruct systems and run."
"Then we better get started on prepping." Joanna declared, standing up and moving towards the door. just at the door she turned around and grinned mischievously, "So you coming or what?" Rebecca shook her head and grinned, "what kind of question is that for the likes of us Joanna? Of course!" Rebecca turned towards Artemis, "Come on Stray, time for you to earn your place in our Pack."

Artemis looked up as Joanna headed for the door with Rebecca following behind. She smiled at the comment Rebecca made and nodded in return. Standing up she quickly followed after them. “I like being called a stray more than a traitor.” She followed them down the hall and toward the armory. She was already going through a list of weapons she was going to need. Any throwing knives if they carried them, the ACR that Joanna had mentioned, reload ammo for her secondary weapon, and new armor. She knew she was most defiantly going to need knew armor at the moment she felt about 50 pounds lighter and lost.
Inside the armory she was quite amazed at how large it was and not to mention the load out that ran around the walls. As the others went about to pick up their equipment she went exploring the wall of weapons. She made sure to pick up the ACR with AK rounds along with rounds for her backup weapon. The knives she was looking for was found in an enclosed cabinet she picked up an M-9 and two daggers that she could hide in her sleeves. She fitted the daggers in her sleeves as she made her way to the armor picking out what she needed. “I think we should have a sub on standby. It will be easier to take out with the diving suits if anything goes wrong . . . .” she paused for a moment as she adjusted her armor. “There is something that everyone needs to know. Hades was created in order to test on the plant life and sea life. So we’ll have to also be prepared for the unknown, and not accept that we may know what might be down there.”

Joanna grinned, "Excellent, I've been trying to find a good test for my new grenades!" She moved to a section of wall labeled 'Experimental' and picked up several grenade bundles. she showed one to Artemis, it had a spherical body 1.5 times as large as a standard frag grenade and was silver in color and had a red stripe running around it. "this is a white phosphorus incendiary grenade, it works the same as a white phosphorus mortar but with a 6 second time delay. its got a small radius due to the amount of phosphorus in the grenade but if you want to burn something out of the way and dont have to worry about collateral, its your best friend. we'll have to use gas masks when using it in very close proximity but that's a small thing compared to what it can do." she thought for a second, "besides, if the plants been modified with umbrella virus's its entirely possible that the entire complex is filled with toxic spores or such."

Artemis tilted her head for a second in thought before she walked to another wall and picked up a gas mask. "Good point. I didn't even think of that." She twirled the mask on her finger by a strap as she still walked around the room glancing at the weapons and items in it. She grinned slightly at the Remington 700 sitting all pretty on its stand and almost begging to be picked up. She stopped spinning her mask and ran her hand along the barrel, down the body, and along the stock. A few modifications and it would make the perfect rifle, but for now she would have to wait. "Since meeting you," she said as she looked at Joanna. "I think I've barely touched a sniper rifle, and that's my specialty," she pointed out. She looked at the grenade that Joanna was putting up. "Talk about over kill, but you know perfect way to wipe out an entire plant species in one room." She looked up at Wolf as she continued around the room picking out the weapons she needed for the mission. When the group was ready they headed outside the armory. Artemis wanted to make sure she stayed with Joanna for the fact that she was still knew and still a murder to those around her. As they rounded a corner Susan and Alexander were standing in the hallway talking to each other. She looked up for a moment and folded her arms.
"I can't believe they let you carry weapons in this place, or the fact that you’re not sitting in some prison," she growled.
Artemis couldn't help but laugh at her statement. "Well good to see you too sis. An how are you?"
"Where are you off too?" she asked ignoring her question.
"To deal with Kyle so you can at least be free of him."
"Like you deal with my parents?" She uncrossed her arms and grabbed Alexander's hand and stormed off down another hallway.
Artemis shook her head and sighed. "I can't tell which she's more made about. The first or second set of parents I've killed," she mumbled under her breath. She shook her head again and looked up. Though now that she thought about it this was just as much as a revenge trip as it was to save her sister. Kyle had killed her father and she wanted revenge. No doubt that Susan felt the same way with her, but didn't have the means to achieve it. She let a sad smile cross her lips before hiding it. "So you two need anything else before we leave?" she asked looking at both of them.

Rebecca turned towards the exit, "Im gonna go see Ashley, see you two back at the briefing room." and left.
Joanna turned to Artemis, "Why dont we go to the firing range, you can get a bit of practice in with that ACR before we go." She grinned mischiviously, "Besides, we can also have a little competition. Im sure you havent let off some steam in quite a while and we still have over an hour."

Artemis grinned as she looked at Joanna. She nodded slightly as she followed her down the hall toward the armory. "That sounds good to me. Been a while since I've been able to let lose." As they entered into the range she was a bit surprised at the size of it considering the size of the building. She removed the ACR and sat it down at one of the stalls along with several rounds. Working the controls she allowed the target to slide down the range to the 50 yard line. She loaded the thirty rounds into the clip and looked over to Joanna as she brought over the ear plugs. "Thank you," she said as she held up the gun and looked down the range. "I know it's to close, but I want to set the sites before moving it back," she pointed out. She grinned at Joanna. "Don't worry I'm not going to show up anyone here. Besides," she said as she turned to face the target at the end of the range. "I'll tell you a secret. I suck with basic weapons. I've always been better with snipper rifles." She brought the butt of the weapon against her shoulder and placed her cheek against the stock in order to look down the sights. She fired one round finding that the round moved to the left of it's intended target. Reaching down she picked up a small phillips and adjusted the site a bit. She fired again finding that it was still off. "In fact," she continued after adjusting the site again. "If anyone ever looked any rifle I've ever fired they usually have modified sites to them. I've always prefer to stay to the shadows, but since I've met you I'd have you've pushed me to do a lot of things I'm not use to." She fired again and grinned slightly. "I have to say I'm enjoying the change of pace quite a bit." She nodded with satisfaction that the round went where she was aiming at. She set the weapon to semi automatic and pulled the trigger eating up the target at the end of the range. She smiled as she lowered the weapon.

Joanna smiled, "its always good to change every once in a while, whether that be method or equipment, that way your more or less prepared for whatever comes your way." moving to the booth next to artemis, she pushed a few buttons and loaded her pistol, and shot the first target through the head, just as it started to rush her. She had gone to the anti-BOW range, it had multiple rails on the floor and cealing on which realistic looking targets popped up and rushed her, and she had to take them down before they crossed the line 2 feet in front of her. there were several target types, zombies, cerberus's, Hunters, lickers, etc, each one had an internal health meter to know when you actually 'killed' them, using pressure pads and electronics with high speed cameras mounted to the walls on the booths firing range side. a couple of minutes and a few magazines later, the red light signalling the end of all the targets lit up. turning around, a cheer rang out, during the session a bit of a crowd had formed up. she grinned at Artemis, who looked stunned, "What do you say, wanna have a bit of a competition? mind you that these guys will make bets on the outcome," she turned to them, "right guys?!" a collective 'Yeah!' rang out, and she turned back to Artemis, grinning, "Well?"

Artemis turned and looked at the range. The practice would do her good, but she also didn’t want to show off in front of so many people. Then again if she would refuses everyone would think that she thought she was better than them. If she did play and she won against Joanna then everyone would hate her even more. She sighed a bit as she tried to think of a way around all of this. It was a losing situation either way she looked at it. “Very well,” she said lightly as she looked over at Joanna. “Just don’t show me up too bad. I have to save some of my dignity,” she pointed out with a slight smile. She waited until Joanna set up the cores. While she did that she reloaded her weapon as she casually glanced back. She hated being around so many people it made her feel uncomfortable. Even when she was with Umbrella she never really been around anyone. She was always a loner, but it seemed that the longer she was with Joanna the harder it was becoming to stay alone.
She looked up as Joanna finished setting out the course. 20 targets witch would also account for a clip change in the middle of the whole thing. It seemed fairly routine course which was set on time or the targets reaching the shooter. Counting the targets she was probably looking at 30 seconds or less a target give or take the few harder targets in the back. She could make up that time with the easier targets throughout it. So she was looking at around 9 to 10 minutes for the best time so she was going to aim for a little bit over that time. Not enough to be bad at it, but enough that she knew Joanna could beat her at. She readied her weapon as the time started her first target was a walker easily dealt with and a killing shot was a head shot.
The first three were easily taken down within 5 seconds of each other. She knew this was going to be harder than expected. It was a natural instinct to her to aim for the kill shots that would only take one to three rounds depending on the target. She had to force herself to think before she shot and focused on her target. More rounds mean more time that the clock had to tick away. The clip change was quick to witch gave her some time on the clock again she was inwardly beating herself. She watched from the corner of her eye at the clock as she tried to spread out her shots, but in the end she didn’t go over the 10 minutes like she wanted, but was close. 9.38 minutes. She knew she could have done better, and that made it a little easier knowing that Joanna could still beat her time.
She sat her weapon down on the counter and turned to Joanna. “Alright. Let’s see what you got.”

Joanna looked at Artemis for a second, then shook her head. "I know what you did, and why you did it. Its impressive that you held yourself back that much, those instincts are killer huh." she moved to the booth next to Artemis, and pressed the button between their respective booths, signaling that there was a competition to the computers, all it needed to make the targets rush them was another press. she turned to Artemis, "I want to see you at your peak, compete against you at your finest." she turned to the crowd behind them, she recognized the faces as members of Paladin squad. "You guys don't care if she beats me, do yah?" the squad grinned, the second in command, Jonah, spoke. "If she beats you we'll be extremely impressed," he turned to Artemis, grinning, "even the S.T.A.R.S members have trouble even coming close. we're actually keen to see how good you are." seeing her shocked face, his grin widened, "Joanna saved our butts lots of times. if she says your good, that's good enough for me." He elbowed the guy next to him, "besides, this guy just bet 20 buck on yah, so at least give him a reason not to regret that bet."

Artemis looked at Joanna and sighed in defeat. It seemed that she knew her very well, and even though she was trying to help her relax it was still hard. Though she couldn’t argue with going through the course again and not hold back. She reloaded her weapon as the course reset. “No holding back then,” she said as she looked at Joanna with a smile. “I guess I can deal with that.” She turned to the course once more taking a breath and slowly letting it out. She pressed the button to start the timer and the course. She let the rounds fly picking up speed in the areas she held back. More head shots than body shots in the targets that could go down with head shots. Her reload didn’t miss a step and her rounds hit their targets without flaw. When the last target fell the time stopped at 5.45. Artemis looked at the clock and frowned a bit. “I think I slipped up somewhere,” she mumbled for a moment before turning to look back at Joanna. “There no holding back. Now you do the same.”

Joanna grinned in response, "not bad timing, even if you slipped up a bit." the crowd nodded in agreement, Jonah elbowed the guy that bet on Artemis, "I guess that bet wasn't a waste after-all." the soldier grinned. Joanna turned to the range, her weapon freshly loaded, and pressed the button. head shot after head shot followed in quick succession, bullets always going into the lethal areas for each target type. Her reloads and her firing flawless. but, when the final 'Zombie' came up, a click sounded from her pistol. "SH*T!" with the target rushing her, she quickly ejected the dud round and fired again, taking it down. the time stopping at 5.45, the sudden jam had taken a few seconds off. picking up the bullet, among the cheers of her colleagues, she instantly recognized the problem. the firing pin had indeed hit the spot for the primer, however, the primer either hadnt gone off, or it hadnt been put in during its manufacture. she went over to the Armorer, "Hey, this one passed the screening, its primer didn't fire." he looked ****ed, "Those guys aren't doing their Jobs right, Ill sort this out now!" and he left. turning around, she saw the crowd and Artemis waiting for her to say something. "Jams and dud rounds Happen in combat, there isn't any rule forbidding its appearance here. I declare this match a Draw." The Crowd went wild, they had never seen someone come This close to beating her, they didn't care if she was former Umbrella or that all of them had lost their bets. she went over to Artemis grinning, "So, are you somewhat more relaxed?"

Artemis looked at Joanna for a moment before looking back at the range. She guessed she couldn't argue with her method to help her relax because it did work. Even being surrounded by the group she did feel a bit better. "Yeah I guess I do," she said under her breath. She looked at Joanna again and smiled. Though she felt relaxed a bit more she still couldn't help but feel a bit out of place, and she knew that had nothing to do with who she was surrounded by but more as just being surrounded. Even back at Umbrella she never surrounded herself with anyone or attempted to make friends. She knew at some point in time she may be called to kill them, and many of them she had. Though here it seemed that their friendship helped them come along way. It was still hard after just a little time ago she was so use to being alone. She gathered up her weapons and reloaded everything before following Joanna out into the hallway. Their time was nearing for their departure. Joanna led Artemis to the cafeteria to grab a quick bite before leaving. As they sat at their table Artemis poked at her food for a moment. "This is all new to me," she said lightly. "Not the fact of being in unfamiliar territory, but the fact that I'm surrounded by people. With Umbrella I kept to myself." She took a bite of her potato before continuing. "The atmosphere is so different here, and I guess I feel out of place. It feels wrong being around so many people, but I know it's not . . ." she sighed a bit. "I don't really know what I know . . . if you know what I mean?" she said with a grin.

Joanna smiled, "yeah, I know what you mean." Taking a bite out of her Steak sandwitch, she noticed Rebecca coming in and waved her over. It was only then that she realized Rebecca didn't come alone. "Hey Ashley, hows training going?" she said, grinning at the 13 year old girl. she was around 5'4' and still growing, with pitch black shoulder length hair, tanned skin and beautiful purple eyes, she turned many heads over in Jacksonville whenever she went down there. She grinned in return, "great, I'm really going well with parkour, sniping and using pistols, and I recently tried using two pistols at the same time, apparently Im really good at doing that effectively." then she noticed Artemis, "whose this?" Rebecca grinned, "The new stray." Ashley looked at Artemis, looked over her, and turned to Joanna, "so is she going to be your partner then?"
