This is where the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance members group up when there is a new mission request posted for completion. The place can get crammed sometimes due to the abundance of B.S.A.A. members but find your seat accordingly. Your squad leader will be here soon so sit tight and wait.

Maggie entered the Briefing Room and took a seat at the end of the row halfway down the walkway that led to the platform. The room it self was set up in a semi-circle, auditorium style with the elevate stage at the center. Long white boards ran the length of the wall behind it and multiple projectors were aimed at each one. Each chair had a fold out desk that one could right on and a place to plug in PDA's, IPAD's and other mobile devices.
Already there were more than a handful of people in the room, but it was by no means fulls. From the looks of it, this was going to be a small scale operation, usually involving one or to helos. This was made even more evident with Jai entered the room and took a seat beside Maggie, followed immediately by two more pilots. Maggie recognized them at Marks and Thomason. They were another helo pair.
"Looks like we get some company on this run", Maggie said to Jai as he sat down. Jai looked back at her and smiled. He opened his mouth to speak, but the lights dimmed slightly and an officer in a BSAA uniform stepped up to the podium. Anyone who had been in the military could tell that he was a lifer... a career military man.
"I am Colonel Armstrong, and I will be briefing you on your missions today. Once it is over, I will take any questions. From there, the teams have the rest of the day to go over the information in your packets and it is to be carried out at 0600 hours tomorrow and I expect you back by 1800 hours that same day."
Maggie leaned forward, smiling a bit. She liked the officers who just got down to business. Armstrong obviously didn't feel the need to name all his engagements and awards. He was a soldier that just needed to get the job done.

Richard sat at the small chair with built in desk, looking over his packet of information. He was quiet, his brow scrunched in concentration as he tried to make sense of the words. Reading English was still a bit dodgy for him. He could barely speak it, for f**ks sake. He looked at the woman next to him and reached over, gently tapping her shoulder to get her attention.
“Excuse me, uh… I am having trouble uh… Reading papers.” He said in a low voice. Sure, the Colonel would say most of the information, but the packet would most likely contain finer details that he wouldn’t cover. They had handed them out for a reason, after all.
Taking a sit from the can of soda at the side of his seat, he set the can back down on the floor and sighed as he looked at the information. He could puncture a human beings throat with a finger, he could snap a man’s back and neck like they were sticks, but he couldn’t read a simple stack of papers… Which brought him to another thought. The BSAA contained operatives from all over the world. Russia was the biggest country in the world. Why the hell hadn’t they bothered to print any up in Russian so he could read them? Motherf**kers…

Maggie looked up from her packet and over at the man whispering to her. He had a Russian accent and while he spoke English very well, it was evident that it wasn't his first language.
She picked up her cellphone, which happened to be a Droid and used the scan function to scan the information off the papers and into her phone. Then she downloaded and app that would translate from English to Russian. Once it had done that, she handed the phone over to the man.
"There you go... but I want that phone back... and if you want to put your number in there, make sure you let me know your name."
She gave him a little smile and a wink and then turned back to the briefing that Colonel Armstrong was giving.
"A Chinook lost power and had to set down in Mississippi. It is near a little town called Florence. There happens to be an airfield 50 miles to the east of the town and that was their last known destination. We have lost contact with the crew, but we don't know why. The undead are out there in numbers, but it is possible that the locals also had something do to with it. Right before going down, the pilot reported that they were being shot at."
Armstrong looked around.
"The helo isn't important, but the cargo is. There are 4 crates that need to make it back here. Plan A is for Marks and Thomason to take a squad of BSAA Operatives along with Sanders and Sinn to the helo. If you can get the helo repaired and fly it out, great. The Blackhawk will fly cover."
"Plan B is that if you can't get the helo in the air, you load up the crates in the blackhawk and then scuttle the Chinook and book it back here."
"While this seems like a dew run meant for newbies, we've already lost an experienced crew. Load up, arm heavy and be ready for anything. You may have undead, inbred hillbillies, or tyrants. If the inbred hillbillies get ahold of you, you'll probably wish for the undead."
That brought a wave of laughter from the group. Maggie turned to the Russian. "They'll probably say you have a pretty mouth, until you talk. Then they will string you up like a pig. Don't worry, I'll make sure none of them rape you."
Armstrong coughed again, drawing the attention back to him.
"Squad commanders will have more intel for you and you leave tomorrow morning at 0600 hours. I expect the mission to be completed by 1800 hours the next day. That gives you 36 hours to get back here. Any questions?"

Richard raised an eyebrow as he watched the woman busy herself with her phone for a moment. A few minutes later, she handed it to him and he looked at the screen. It was the page, he could tell by the layout. But, it was in Russian. Wow…
“Where can I get?” He asked, turning back to her as he took a look through the paper. He easily read the whole packet of information in a few minutes, listening to the man presenting information at the same time. The humans they would be going against, they had to have some heavy firepower to shoot down a Chinook. Some shotguns and hunting rifles wouldn’t be good enough to take it down. Had they come across a supply of ground to air missiles? Maybe… It wasn’t uncommon for bad guys to get their hands on things like that in this day and age. The care that should be taken with such things wasn’t exactly getting done anymore…
He couldn't help but smirk at her jokes, lowly doubting he'd need her help in such a situation. If they tried to take him alive, they'd sure be in for a surprise. He wasn't the biggest guy in the room, but he was willing to bet he could beat any of them in a fist fight.
“What is in crates?” Richard said aloud when the Colonel asked if anyone had any questions. He wasn’t seeing anything about that in the packet. So it was either secret, or it was something sensitive that they didn’t want committed to paper or computer.

Colonel Armstrong looked over at Richard.
"That is a need to know priority and for this mission, that is not important. What is important is that you get them back here secure and in tact. There are three crates... all of them the size of a coffin. That is the primary objective. Bringing the people who did this to justice is a secondary target but not at the risk of losing the first objective. Do I make myself clear on that matter?"
The Colonel emphasized the last point and made it clear by looking each of the members there in the eye, holding their gaze before moving on.
Maggie had already done her calculations... and they didn't add up.
"Colonel, sir, if we are successful in recovering the crates, the Blackhawk won't be able to hold both teams and the crates. What happens to the rest of us?"
Maggie would do the job, but she wasn't looking forward to being left behind while three crates of took their place.
The Colonel shrugged a bit. "We are expecting that the Chinook is operational. In that case, the Blackhawk will just be an escort. If however, unlikely, the Chinook can't fly, then let us know immediately and we will have an Osprey standing by to lift you out. The Blackhawk will then remain onsite to support you until that point."
Maggie didn't like it but there was no use arguing with a superior officer. Armstrong continued.
"So Marks and Thomason, you and Tango Squad will fly the Helo with Maggie and Jai and Richard's group going to land and securing the crates."
Armstrong motioned to the two crews. "Dismissed." Not waiting, the Colonel turned and exited the auditorium. Marks and Thomason looked over at Maggie and Jai.
"We'll see you at the flight line tomorrow." They nodded to the crew and left. Maggie turned to the Russian.
"So it looks like we are working together. I'm Maggie."

“Da, it look so.” He said, holding out his hand for a shake. “Richard.” He said, withdrawing his hand when the shake was done. He started out of the briefing room, heading toward the armory. He’d like to check out his weapons and check them over, give them a cleaning and anything else that needed to be done. He, like many of the BSAA STARS members, maintained his own weapons. Like US Special Forces members being able to choose their own sidearm and weapon modifications. After that, he didn’t have much planned. Maybe go home and watch a movie? Fold the pile of clothes that was growing on top of his dresser? Probably for the former, probably not for the latter.
But for now, he was enjoying the budding conversation with the pilot. She had a sense of humor, that was for sure. It seemed a lot of people here were serious at all moments of the day. Who could actually do that? Who could go their whole day without a laugh? He sure couldn’t, and he had received training to avoid such things in his day.
“You go to armory or helicopter field?” He asked her. He figured a lot of them were going to do the same thing, get their s*** together right now and then enjoy some quiet time before they had to head out. Or go and enjoy a drink at the local bar. Either one was likely to happen, probably both.

Maggie watched the others leave with a grin. Marks and Thomason had to prep their bird and make sure it was in order. There was really nothing for Maggie to do except check in gear... and hit the bar.
"Armory and then bar. The last place I was stationed only had rubbing alcohol, but too many more days of that place and I would have been downing it. I just need to check my gear and pick up some spare ammo. And then I need a drink somewhere a little bit farther out than the mess hall. I was thinking about going over to Jill's. You interested?"

*George steps into the briefing room. Solely dressed in street clothing and some bling bling. He noticed he was getting funny looks from all the other members, but he didn't really care. He approaches the B-Board of the room, that being the information given to the members. Spotting on the board that they'res finally a mission available for him to participate in.*
• George • "It's about damn time... I've been bored outta my mind in here."
*George noticed that each mission had a sign-in initiative on each mission. He picks up the pen on the table next to the board, and writes his name across the dotted line underneath the mission he desires. Once complete, he took it upon himself to step to the side, and sit down at one of the nice, glass tables that were stationed in the briefing room.*

Maggie watched as another BSAA agent came in and sat down. She smiled at the situation.
"Hey dude, if you're here for the mission, the debriefing's over." She put on a fake air up suffering with a heavy sigh.
"I guess you'll just have to tag along with us to the Armory and the Bar to figure out what we are going to do."
She walked over to the new guy, waving Richard to follow her.
"Name's Maggie, this here is Richard. We're about to check our weapons and load up and then hit Jill's. You're late, so you get first round. Then we give you the sit rep."

*Hearing the breaking news, George at first turned his head away after being informed of the dismissal of the debrief. Once he glanced back, noticing that the chick with the guy have approached them with a greet. George cracked a smile, and pulled himself up off of the chair he was sitting on. Peering down at the two with his massive size.*
• George • "Maggie, and Richard, huh? Well, I'am Chambers... George Chambers."
*Spotting the hand of which was being stuck out by Richard, George gladly shakes his hand. Once the greeting was over, Maggie had turned, and began to walk. Flagging the both of them to follow. George looks over to see Richard doing so without hesitation. George shrugged, and done so as well.*

"Armory's this way. We can load up there. I have my standard weapons, but I think that we should load up at much as we can carry on the run. While I don't think that Colonel Armstrong is sending us on a suicide mission, I think he considers the crates more important than our return. The latter is my primary goal."
Maggie led them out of the Briefing Room and down to the Armory. There were actually two different amories... one for the BSAA Teams and one for the STARS Teams.

((Artemis and Joanna enter for the Jacksonville airport))
As they approached the BSAA headquarters Artemis couldn’t help but find herself getting a little nervous. Never before has she been this far into enemy territory, and under friendly measures for that matter. She sighed a bit as she stared at the building as it grew larger the closer they got. Somehow it all felt wrong to her, but she also knew that she was doing the right thing. Many times since Washington Kyle had proven that she was following the right path. Though she knew once this was all over she would have many crimes she would have to answer too. She couldn’t allow that to happen. As long as Umbrella or Tricell exited Susan would be endanger regardless of what safe area she was placed in. She knew Umbrella well enough to know that a safe area was just a challenge to break into.
She shook her head as Joanna pulled the jeep to a stop. With her help Artemis made it to the medical lab for better attention to her wound. Joanna had did an excellent job in patching it up until it could properly be tended too. With a few stiches and pain killer later Artemis was once more fully back up on her feet. Though the next thing would be sleep, but that would come in time. Susan decided to stay with Alexander as the medical team checked him over. This left Artemis to join Joanna in the briefing room which apparently they had another mission for Joanna right after returning. She looked at the girl and couldn’t help but be amazed at her. Artemis knew that she took mission on top of mission to keep busy, and it seemed like Joanna was just the same way. Lots of work and little rest. She took a seat beside Joanna which she found herself seeking the other woman’s company more often the longer they worked together.
The commander looked at Artemis before placing a filed down in front of her and Joanna. On the front was Neo- Umbrella’s symbol, and on the front page was a list of Umbrella staff many of which had the word Deceased written by their name. An among the top three was Artemis, her father, and Devin. Though when she expected to see Deceased by Devin’s name. She was the one who killed him, but the word beside her father’s name seemed to make her own world crumble. The man who was not her biological father, but showed her more compassion and kindness than any man she knew was dead. He cared for her like she was his child, and he had even taught her a few things. He was also the one to warn her before she left. Biting her lip for a moment in order to gather herself she flipped the page over so she couldn’t see his name.
Yet the next thing just made things worse. It was pictures and descriptions of how each of the individual’s had died on the list. Some carried her own name and picture with them, but her father’s didn’t. It showed a mangled and bloody mess that was ripped and shredded to pieces. It felt like a slap to the face and her heart ached like it never had before. The room felt like it was grown smaller and tighter around her. She shook her head and closed the file and slid it away from her. She looked at it almost as if it was a snake ready to strike, and in a way it felt like it.
“A- An your point on these?” she asked surprised that the break in her own voice. “Neo- Umbrella’s taking out their own employees, and without me there they are resorting to other methods,” she said glade that she found her strength again.
“True, but this is no ordinary BOW doing this,” he said as he opened the file and flipped to the last section. Kyle’s picture was stapled to sheet of paper along with another picture of a gruesome beast. The head almost looked like it sunk into its shoulders as the body seemed to be taller and broader. Its arms were massive and it was evident that the arms and legs were made out of muscle. Protruding from its back were long gray tentacles of some type. “Say hello to Kyle,” he said taking the pictures out and laying them on the table. “Or should I say . . . Say hello to Kyle’s true form.”
“True form?”
“From what intelligence we have been able to gather Kyle has been like this for quite some time. He’s only used hitman to hide the truth.”
“How about his form? What kind of creature can hide its true form?” Artemis growled finding this hard to believe that all this time she had been working for a BOW.
“Apparently in this form Kyle Is able to keep his sanity. He has created a serum to revert him back to human form, but he has to keep taking it or he reverts back.”
Artemis shook her head. “This is ridiculous. If this was true then he would be making super monsters by now.”
“An what is to say he’s not? What’s to say you’re not one of them?” he asked glaring at Artemis. “You are one of Umbrella’s best. Highly skilled . . . deadly . . . extraordinary . . . and on your feet even after being shot in the side.”
“What are you saying,” she barked as she slammed her hands on the table and stood up. “I am not one of those freaks. I have learned to deal with pain and suffer like the rest of humanity. From the start I was being trained and manipulated by Kyle . . . .”
“My point exactly,” he said as he looked at her. “Drugs or not,” he said motioning to her side. “You seem well capable of walking around. Even when Joanna was helping you into this building and to the doctor. From day one Kyle was turning you into his perfect soldier. What’s to say that he hasn’t?” He sighed a bit as he leaned back from the desk. “But regardless of that I’ve got them running blood work to test and see.” He turned back around to a desk behind him before bringing out another file. “It will be 24 to 48 hours before anything comes back on blood work. An right now I have our scientist looking into a way to reverse the effects. Now please have a seat.”
Artemis glared at the man before sitting down again. “An if you can’t?”
“Something tells me we can. If there is a serum to revert him to human form then there has to be a cure for this. We just have to find it.”
Artemis chocked for a moment at the realization that her father had given her something important before she left. She looked at Joanna. “The necklace,” she said lightly. “We never got a chance to see what was on the pen drive in the necklace.”

With artemis's reminder, joanna quickly took the indicated necklace off her neck and, quickly revealing the usb, inserted it into her tacpad. "damn, its passcode protected. see what you can make of it, it was given to you after all." she said, giving the necklace to Artemis and indicating one of the Ipads on the desk. turning back to the commander, "Has intel located Kyles place of operation yet?" he shook his head, "nothing, he's turtled up, we dont know whether he has stayed put or whether he has moved to a safe house. either way he's a dead man, just doesnt know it yet." he looked at artemis and then back to joanna, "with this information the brass have decided to make this a three man job, and the perfect 3rd person just got back from her last mission." Joanna grinned, "your putting the Wolf on this mission, this ought to be interesting."
------------
the base had a new scent, a new person, one that obviously had some people worried. Rebecca had just got back from a job and was given another mission, and from the look of things, it was going to be interesting at least. it was a pity that she couldnt go and see ashley, but this was urgent. As she got closer to the Briefing room the new scent got stronger, as did the conversation, but then again, she could still hear quite a bit. "Has intel located kyles new place of operation yet?" It seemed that Joanna was back from washington, though it seemed that she had brought in someone, perhaps Reaper. "your putting the wolf on this mission, this ought to be interesting." it was then that she got to the door and went in, everyone turned to look at the new arrival. Rebecca grinned like a wolf, "Its not nice to talk behind others backs Fury." she got a grin in return. She looked at the woman next to her, subtly sniffing the air so she could remember this new member, she was hurt but on painkillers, shot almost hit the intestines by the smell of the wound, along with fresh stitches, done here by the freshness.
all this information and more was processed by her senses in less time it took to blink. "So this is the new Umbrella stray," she looked towards the commander, "does this mean we're catching a big bastard today?"

Artemis took the USB from Joanna and the pad from the table. She had some ideas of her father’s passwords in the past, and somehow she didn’t think this one would be hard to figure out. At least hard for her to figure out considering it was for her. She started typing in passwords as the door opened, and just like everyone else she looked up to see Wolf standing in the doorway. The only problem was that like Joanna the first time she didn’t recognize this woman either, but she also wondered how much of her own mess did she have to clean up after. Though there was something about this woman that set her on edge, and it wasn’t the reference to being a stray either. Something just did not set right with her about the third individual that would be assisting in this mission.
“Please come in and have a seat,” the Commander finally spoke up and waited for Wolf to sit down. He looked at Artemis for a moment. “Have you figured out the password?” Artemis shook her head. “Keep trying while I get the rest of this meeting under way. If you haven’t figured it out at the end I’ll get some of the techs to work on it.” He turned around to pull out another stack of folders and passed them out. “Now onto Wolf’s question, it is time for us to go after Kyle. The only problem is we have no idea where he is, and I don’t want to send out a massive search party just to tip him off.” He flipped through the files as everyone else did except for Artemis who was growing more frustrated with the pad. “Though when we do get word of his location we are going to have a full force standing by, but only three are going to enter. Reaper will be the maps to the location . . .” he paused as he looked at her shaking her head. “An why not.”
“Joanna showed me a few days ago about how very little I know about any of the Umbrella labs regardless of how many times I’ve been to them,” she said as she continued to type on the pad. “I can show the basic layout that everyone knows and a few more, but it seems that Joanna would be far more valuable than I would in that situation.”
“Alright, then you knowledge of the . . . .”
“He would have changed all security codes and passwords when he sent out the first hit on me when I was in Washington,” she pointed out.
“Then what good are you?” Someone else called from the room.
Artemis didn’t look up from the pad. “I’m not. I have no friends within those facilities. I was a Reaper there just as I am to you and your friends. Kyle gave the word and I acted out as his executioner.”
“Then we don’t need her. Throw her in prison and let’s deal with this situation without someone who can turn on us.”
“Enough,” the Commander said as he looked back at Artemis.
“It’s fine. I’m use to it,” she said as she gave him a sad smile and slid the pad across the table. The password was one she would never have thought, but it also made since if someone else got ahold of it. They would try anything dealing with her except for her enemies . . . except for her mother’s name. It was only another reminder of the pain and suffering her mother had put her through.
“Nice work,” he said as he picked up the pad and started thumbing through the files. While he did that a group of the men in the room started talking amongst themselves, and even though Artemis didn’t let on she knew they were talking about her. Why wouldn’t they, she was a terrorist against the world and killed many of their friends and possibly family. “This isn’t good,” the Commander spoke up as the room grew quite. “This has an indication of another area Kyle could have gone too. Cronus Island, but I’ve never heard of it.” He reached over for another pad and started to search for it on line but nothing came up.
Artemis couldn’t help but feel stupid about not even thinking about the island. It was one of the places she stayed at when Umbrella first went under. It was also a base for when Neo-Umbrella started to get back on its feet. She grabbed a sheet of paper and wrote down the coordinates and slid it across the table. “It won’t show up on radar or pictures. Cronus Island is a manmade island created by Umbrella. It is a large island, but the lab is not on the island. In fact it is under the island. There are two ways to get to it. A long elevator shaft that allows the body to decompress as it gets down to the lab, or by a submarine.”
“That sounds like a trap,” the same guy as before spoke up. “A death trap.”
“It is. When I left it the last time the lab was barley functioning and intact. Several labs were shut off because of flooding, and the frame was cracking. Though if you think about it. Kyle’s going to know that someone is going to come after him. If he is no longer in Europe then he knows.” Artemis looked at Joanna for a moment before looking back at the Commander. “Your element of surprise cannot be him not expecting it, but you knowing he knows. He wants you to fall into his trap.”
“Then we go by elevator,” the Commander said as he looked up.
“But Sir!”
“No buts. She is right. He’ll expect us to come by sub because it will be the quickest way. The elevator will their slow, but he may expect that as well.”
“There are no cameras in the elevator due to the compression, but every mile there is a shaft. We could get off on one and continue on down. The shafts are also decompressing the further you go down.”
“We all can’t fit through there.”
“An you’re not,” the Commander said as he stood up. “We’ll discuss this later when I get a chance to sort out an idea. Reaper,” he said turning back to look at her. “There are a lot of personal items on this drive for you. I’ll transfer what I need off this and give you the locket back later.” She nodded at least grateful she was getting something back that her father had given her. “As for the rest of what’s on this USB I’m going to have the techs look at it and get back with the rest of you.” He turned and headed for the door. “Give me two hours and then be back here. We’ll discuss the situation. As for now Wolfe and Reaper I think you guys need to get to know each other before going into this mission together.” With that he left and the room cleared out pretty quickly.
Artemis looked at Joanna and then to Wolf. It was more than obvious that both girls knew each other. She looked at Wolf for a moment before looking down at the file from earlier. The names of those that Kyle had killed and on the top of the list was the only person who ever truly cared for her. She smiled weakly at the last memory of him. He knew before she had even left him that day. She reached out and picked up the paper. Just the thought of him dead seemed far worse than her own sister hating her. The one person she loved and who loved her back and she couldn’t protect him. Crumpling up the paper in her hand she sighed a bit. “So,” she said fighting back a sob. She had to get her mind of the subject and to stop the pain in her chest. “Everyone seems to know me . . .” she trailed off as she laid the paper back down on the table and stood up. “But I don’t seem to know anyone here,” she finally said and looked at Wolf.
