"How many are out there, now, dad?" she asked. Jensen didn't take his eyes of the door. He was hoping that Caleb would come to the door. Faith in god is all that Jensen could do at the moment. Wait and pray.
" I saw a dozen before I got here" he quietly said. As he was about to turn around, there was a banging on the the door. Followed by moaning, it wasn't Caleb. The undead must have figured out that they were there. "Jamie! Run now, go upstairs lock the door and don't wait!" Jensen shouted as he leveled his Revovler.

Jamie shook her head confused before moving toward her father. "No way, I'm not leaving you here to save my own skin," she told him, assertively. She moved beside her father and pushed her shoulder into it to help him keep the door from shaking. They've done this before, if they keep it from budging long enough, something else will catch their attention and they'll leave.
Suddenly, Jamie swore under her breath. That something could possibly her brother, Caleb. He was still out there, God knows what was going on with him. Frowning, knowing her father would probably be upset with her actions, she spoke up.
"I'm a big girl now, dad. I can help you now," she said.

"I'm a big girl now, dad. I can help you now," she said. Jensen didn't like the fact that he only daughter wanted to fight zombies. He tried to hide the fact that he was also scared. He had to look strong in front of his daughter. "God, please look over us as you did before. I am your humble servant"Jensen said. The door collopased as more zombies attacked the door. The first zombie started to climb over the recliner. Jensen shot the zombie in the back of it's head. The zombie fell over the chair, dead agian.

When the door collapsed, Jamie had stumbled back and fell on her rear. A zombie had began to climb over the old recliner, clawing at her when her father shot it point blank in the back of it's head. Three more began falling all over eachother and the recliner as more pushed in. Jamie holstered her firearm and pulled her shovel off her back, smacking one of the under in the face, cracking what was left of it's nose, completely off and stunning it long enough to fall onto another undead.
She grunted and lifted it high above her head and brought it down over and over on two of the undead while her father grasped her by the back of her hoodie and pulled her away so he could take shots at them and she wouldn't be too close.
Stained with blood splatter, Jamie wiped at her face and cringed. "F*ckin' gross....urgh..."

"F*ckin' gross....urgh..." Even though they were in danger Jensen still took the time to get on Jamie about her cussing.
"Jamie! I don't care how old you are, you know I don't like cussing" He shouted. Jensen dispatched another zombie and one grabbed his foot. He punted the zombie with his free leg and moved backwards. More zombies entered the building. How many are gunna come here?![/i]

Jamie had been wiping away the blood with the back of her jacket sleeve, carefully to leave it ways away from her mouth, nose and eyes. Wincing when her father snapped at her, she gulped slightly. Even though she was 18, she still felt slightly hurt and intimidated when her father was upset and raised his voice at her.
Clamming up like a little girl, she nodded and helped smack another undead face aside. "Sorry, daddy," she said in a meek, childish voice which worked out well since she was so short and had a child-like demeanor.
Noticing the distress in his features, Jamie looked over her shoulder at the hallway and the door at the end of it, passed a a holding cell and it's bathroom.
"There's another door there, we can just escape through there, it leads to the back of the station which is fenced in, has to be safe, we can wait it out somewhere else for Caleb to show. Maybe the roof or something, that way he can see us," she proposed.

Jensen nodded and grabbed Jamie's hand. They ran up the stairs and reached the fire escape. Jensen opened the door and forced Jamie out the window. As he was about to crawl out the window a tongue wrapped around his leg. He grabbed the window and yelled something to Jamie. "You go to the roof, there should be a signal flare up there. Fire it and wait for either me or Caleb. No if ands or buts!" Jensen grip was loosening. Soon he was pulled into the darkness of the Sheriff's station.

Jamie had watched her father lose grip before grasping at his hands, only to miss it by mere inches. Her heart had leapt into her throat when she saw the terrified look on his face as he was taken back into the apartment by what looked like a tongue. It was one of those damned, things, those damned inside out monsters!
He ordered her to go and wait for him or Cale, but she couldn't just let him die! She quickly grasped onto the fire escape that took her to the roof before looking back and fourth between crates and trashcans that for whatever reason, was up there.
There weren't any flares.
"C'mon, c'mon, C'MON!" she yelped before running over to the trashcan and kicking it over. There was alot of old newspapers and old printer paper which she scrunched up and placed in the center of the roof. Feeling around her pockets, she found a box of matches she kept with her for her cigarettes, which were nowhere in sight.
She lit a match, lit a single piece of paper and dropped it down. A few papers slowly lit as Jamie kicked it around with her foot, enough so that more paper was lit and eventually smoke began to rise until it touched the old wooden crates, in which case, the corners of it began to catch.
"That should get Cale's attention..." she muttered before going back for the window. She drew in a breath and climbed back through in search of her father.
"Please come back already, Cale...."

Jensen was worried as he was being dragged down the hallway. Was it the last time he would get to see his daughter? He was scared, he couldn't leave her and Caleb by themselves. Jensen lost his revolver, near the window. The only weapon he had was his cruifix. He yanked it off his neck and pulled the bottom of it off. There was a small nine inch blade hidden it it. The creature rose it's hand and tried to strike Jensen. Jensen rolled to the side, but one of it's talons sunk it to his leg. Jensen shouted in pain and began to jab his blade into it's head. Blood spattered on Jensen's face and clothing. He rolled the dead creature off him and stood up. He reached in his pockets and pulled out his Camel no.9s. He put on in his mouth and found out he lost his lighter. Jensen grabbed his Revovler and limped up the stairs. He reached the roof and Jamie didn't notice him.
"You got a light?"

Jamie raised a brow before smiling widely, quite impressed with her old man. "Ku-dos, dad. I'm very impressed," she told him, shaking the box of matches she had in her hand before tossing to him. When he caught it, she looked around her father as he lit his cigarette to see where the creature was. As she did, she noticed his bloody pantleg and the rip and tear into them.
"You're wounded," she said quietly before looking up at her dad's face as he let out a puff of smoke. An odd habit her father'd picked up over the years. She wanted to ask what had happened when the strong smell of burnt wood and paper along with some intense heat had caught her attention.
"Oh damn! I started a fire on the roof!"

"Come on... Come on..." Peering through the scope of the large caliber hunting rifle, Cale searched the entire town from the rooftop of the Casino. There was no way the rest of his family would leave the place, they were stubborn like that. But if there was a single place they would be, he couldnt think of it. Staying in their home didnt seem like a smart idea, and since everybody had already evacuated from the town, there wasnt very many places that seemed safe at all. Looking through scope toward the hardware store, Cale though he could see something moving inside, but it was only the reflection of an infected. The only buildings that had been boarded up were the hotel just down the street, but thats how he got into the roof, and he didnt see anybody even living.
Just then, there was a gunshot coming from the police station. Quite a few of them. Quickly adjusting the zoom to the side of the police station, he could see the muzzle flash of the gun just carry off behind the building. By this time, he saw the fire on the rooftop, and Jamie through the smoke. "Jamie..." Dropping the empty gun, Cale jumped off the side of the casino, holding onto the ledge. Looking down, he dropped, landing onto the awning, and then rolled onto the street with only scrapes. Standing up in a sprint, he ran at full force, knocking away the few infected that were in his way. The streets were flooded with them, but this portion had been clear for the most part.
Jumping at the fence, he scaled it, and then jumped over, but only to see the dead creature. The smoke on the roof lofted down into the ally, Cale knew the both of them were up there, or inside the building at least. Pushing open the backdoor, he grabbed the first extinguisher from the wall, and than ran up the stairs as quickly as he could. The exit to the fire escape was already open, and with that, he knew they were still on the room. As he climbed out and up, Cale unloaded the chemicals onto the fire, putting it out in a matter of seconds, and than tossing the empty canister to the side. When the smoke was cleared, he saw Jamie for the first time that day, and his father sitting on the stairwell smoking a cigarette. "You two shouldve just left a note and left while you still had a chance..."
Looking down off the building, the infected were coming from the quarentine zone, the entrance to the town had been completely walled off with them. There was no getting out of this place, not until they found a way through them.

When the fire was out there was a clear vision of her older brother standing there before glancing back at Jamie and their dad. Coughing, she batted away at some smoke before a look of relief passed over her and her father's faces. Cale was here, safe and sound, so now they could get out this sh*thole.
"We could've, but it's the darndest thing, all our post its were on fire. This wasn't the first time I set something on fire. Sorry, bout that," she replied to her brother before smirking.
Not too long after she frowned and pointed at their father's leg. "Cale, dad got hurt by one of those meaty, monster things with the tongue, we need to get some first aid or somethin'. "

I'm okay, don't worry about me. I just want to get you guys out of here." He said. Jensen was glad to see his son. He had thought that he was killed by the zombies. Jensen could die peacefully now. Except he wont allow himself to die, Jensen needs to get his family out of this city. God please let me get my family out of here. If you do, I will be ready to join you."[/i]

Cale looked at his sister when she spoke, and then looked at his old man, sitting down and still sucking back the cigarette. He looked at his leg, and saw that it was definitely a scratch from one of those BOW creatures. Cale had only encountered three in the past, and neither of those fights he had won, just ran from. Theyre werent anything to mess with, but judging by the towns shape, there wouldnt be any more of them to deal with. Looking back at the wall of undead at the entrance, he spoke out, knowing they would have to stay here for a while longer. "No, just... Fu---- Forget about that, Dad. Were getting out of here, and your going to be fine. Just dont bleed out, and you wont go under. So long as that doesnt happen, things will be fine..."
It was the only thing he could say. Cale knew that things were bad, they never got better. The only thing they could do was make sure they didnt get any worse. Moving back to the edge of of the building, he stared across the street, searching any vehicle in sight. The streets only had a few cars and trucks, but all of them had been wrecked beyond repair. But inside the quarintine zone, there was an ambulance. It would be big enough to plow down those undead, and at least hold up long enough until they got to Las Vegas. At this moment, however, Cale wanted to make sure that their situation on the roof was contained. Unslinging the bag, he opened it up, and then removed the last set of bandages he had left, along with a bottle of 80/20 for the wound. "Here, snagged these while I had the chance..."

Jamie had taken the liberty of seeing to it that their father's leg was properly cleaned and bound. As she did so, she kept her eyes on her hands as she spoke.
"Alright, so we're all together now, we should figure out a way out of this dump. Never liked this place anyway, no offense, dad," she quickly added as she stood up when she was finished. She dusted her jeans off and looked off the rooftop, squinting her eyes a little.
"I suggest we steal some wheel first. Cale, you fiddled with mechanic crap, surely you can hotwire a car or something, right?"
