Artemis looked down the hallway in the direction she had to go. She knew that she had to get back to Joanna and the others, and standing around wasn’t helping the matter. She looked down at the water and tried her best to focus on what Joanna had told her. She couldn’t go back to the way she was. Too much had changed in her life in such a short period of time, and everything she wanted to keep. She just needed to do what Joanna said and control what she was scared of. Besides this water was only ankle deep. Taking a breath she slowly moved down the hallway. In a way it felt like the old times, but there was one thing different now than before. She could feel Joanna in the back of mind, and it was a comforting feeling.
The further she moved down the hallway the deeper the water seemed to get. Artemis finally had to stop in order to gather herself. The water was barley waste deep, and she could actually see the grating below her feet so it wasn’t so bad. She closed her eyes and took a couple of deep breaths in order to calm herself down. She had to focus on something else. Wolfe had told her earlier to focus on something ahead of her, and at this moment her task was to get back to Joanna. Biting her lip she took a step forward, and then another. Each step seemed forced and harder than the next one. Then the next thing she knew the water was starting to go down. She sighed with relief as her path started going back up.
She was relieved when she reached the last door at the end of the hall. She looked back down the hall and sighed a bit. When she opened the door she found that it went into a large storage room, but what was in front of her worried her. Even after all the damage that Kyle had taken he was still able to transform into his human form. Though he looked greatly disfigured and hunched over from the wounds he had been taken. He was even missing one of his arms. “You look terrible.”
“It’s the curse of the virus. Give me a couple of months and I’ll be back on my feet.” He turned to look at Artemis. “Though you won’t live to see that.” He shook his head and sighed. “What happened to you? I thought you were loyal to Umbrella, and would sacrifice your life for them no matter what.”
“I was until a certain boss chose to betray me. I wasn’t loyal to you. I was loyal to Umbrella. In truth I was seeking revenge. Screw them,” she said nudging her head back down the hall. “But it’s amazing what someone saving your life a couple of times can do to change your perspective in life.”
“So you choose those BSAA scum,” he growled as he seemed to straighten up. “You would betray me. Work for those that wish to bury the very people who raised me.”
“You killed the one who raised me!” She barked. Catching herself she took a step back through the door.
“He betrayed me! That virus that runs through your veins should never have been mine.” He gripped his hands as his body seemed to twitch as he took a step forward. “He told me he hadn’t perfected it, and when I found out he lied to me I killed him.” He screamed as his body began to transform. An in the place of his missing arm were three large tentacles. Kyle seemed to grin as he jumped toward her.
Artemis shut the door, and turned to look at the hall ahead of her. She moaned as she thought about the water, but the moment she heard the door bend behind her she took off. The moment she hit the water she tried not to think about it. Though the sound of rushing water didn’t help. She didn’t have a chance to look back before a wall of water hit her. She cried out as she struggled against being thrown down the hall. Her hand gripped he edge of the of a door frame. Struggling to pull herself up to hit the button to open the door. As soon as it slid open she pulled herself in the room and shut the door. She stood up with the help of the wall. Leaning against the wall she closed her eyes. She knew that she had heard Joanna before, and wondered if she really could talk to her. Yet something else pulled her thoughts.
Something she hadn’t felt before. She could feel Joanna, and if it wasn’t for the walls separating from them she seemed relatively close and almost seemed to be near where she thought the animal lab was. This feeling was coming from something else. The feeling growing closer and then passing for a moment. Then she realized who she was feeling. She gathered herself a bit and closed her eyes. Joanna. Kyle’s coming your way. Don’t ask how, but I think he’s in the same hall you’re in. Hurry up to the others. Please! she begged.

she was almost at the entrance portal to the animal testing room when the message came through.
'Joanna. Kyle’s coming your way. Don’t ask how, but I think he’s in the same hall you’re in. Hurry up to the others. Please!'
she looked back, and there was kyle, charging at her. she sprinted towards the entrance portal, and when she finally went through, she slammed the emergency sealing latch down, making the blast-doors in the portal slam shut in kyles face. who then proceeded to start making dents in the half-foot thick wall of steel.
as she hurried across to the other side of the room, she took it in. the walkway she was on hung over an enormous pool of water, and in it were schools of large fish.
Just as she was about to reach the open portal it slammed shut in-front of her. she turned around to face a laughing kyle. he had changed back. in his right was a small remote-controller. it must have been what opened and shut the blast doors.

Artemis took a deep breath and slowly let it out. She pushed herself away from the wall and moved across the room. The only way out of this place was back through the door she just come through, but that would mean having to let the water back in. She shook her head as she looked at the door. No . . . not yet. She had to make sure that Joanna could get to the others. She reached the back wall and pushed the panel back revealing a small security room. This happened to be the backup security room in case something happened to the front. She crossed the small room powering on the computers and bringing up the cameras, and her heart dropped the moment she seen Joanna running down the hall.
She hit the desk as she cursed. The lab wasn’t that far away, and she hoped that the others had actually made it that far. Though the moment she hit the fish holding area that thought was quickly dashed as the door to the next area was shut in her face. “Oh come on!” she shouted as she tried to look over the panels to help Joanna out, but she wasn’t seeing what she needed. She cursed again as she hit the desk and watched hopelessly as Kyle confronted Joanna. Though she couldn’t hear what was going on. Joanna’s body language told her enough, and she couldn’t help but laugh. Even facing off against a large BOW that stood several feet taller than her she still seemed to have the courage to mouth off against him. Though her smile was short lived as it seemed that Kyle’s temper got the better of him, and he lunged at her. Joanna managed to back up out of his reach, and pull out her gun. She could only watch helplessly as Kyle approached Joanna not caring about the weapon she pulled. Artemis watched as Joanna fired, and even though she couldn’t hear from the camera his cry was loud enough to echo through the walls. An she couldn’t help but wonder if it was a cry of pain or frustration that a simple bullet could hurt him. She watched as Joanna fired several more rounds into Kyle’s side and leg throwing him off balance. He toppled over the railing and to the tank below.
Artemis smiled as she turned back to the control panel cursing when she seen the audio button and mic. “Really!” She sighed as she flipped on the mic into the room. “Joanna hang on and I’ll try to get the door open.” She looked over the panel trying her best to figure out what she was looking for, and after a minute she finally found its way out of the way. She shook her head and hit the button causing the door to open. As soon as Joanna was through she closed it just in case Kyle got back up. “Joanna. Head on to the others I’ll catch up to you,” she called over the mic before heading out of the room, and back into her prior dilemma. The water on the other side of the door. Though the more she thought about it the more she realized that her head would be above water.
She shook her head and planted her back against the wall. She reached for the button to open the door fighting back the churning feeling in her stomach. She hit the button and the door slid open as the water rushed in. She fought back he urge to cry out, and fought to keep herself against the wall as the water rushed in. When the water settled it was at waist height, and when she stepped out of the room the water was a bit below the waist but still rising. Whatever caused the flooding in the hall was still flooding it. With the use of the wall and she moved down toward the room that was her intended target. As she reached the door it was already open and she found where the water was coming from. In the top of the ceiling was a crack and it seemed that the center of the room became a large waterfall. As she stepped down into the room she found the water rise up to her chest. Artemis struggled with the fight of having to run back out of the room. No she had to get to Joanna. She had to get across the room. Taking a shaky step forward she ran her hand along the wall. The water rising, and when she was half way across the room she felt herself starting to hyperventilate. The water was at her shoulders, and her head was still above the water. She clutched the shelf beside her as her body refused to move. The water was rising and she didn’t want to go anyfurther. She knew going back would be death, but Joanna was forward.
All she knew was that she had to get to Joanna. She wanted to get to Joanna. With a firm grip on the shelf she forced herself forward. She had to get to Joanna. A couple of steps later she found that she had to bounce in order to keep her head above water, and thankfully the door was within reach. She felt around for button for a second before hitting it, and then something dawned on her as she did. Though the though was short lived as the door opened and the water rushed into the empty hallway pulling her with, and slamming her against the door at the end of the short hallway. She cursed as she felt the sharp pain in her side once more. She shook her head as she fought for this door, and once it opened shuffled through into the next room. When the door shut she hit her knees clutching her side as she panted heavily.
When she calmed down enough she sat back on her heals and looked around the room in amazement. It was one of main offices that lead into the animal labs. Except it didn’t look like an office space. It looked like a jungle of webs, but their creators were no where in site. She sighed a bit as she closed her eyes and thought of Joanna. To be honest she could feel Joanna in the next room, but that made her wonder where the others were.

As Joanna moved through the next passageway she started to notice the increasing amount of cobwebs, until she was forced to stop in lieu of running into one that covered the entire passage. "Spiders, f**king great." Just then, the familiar booming retort of Wolf's custom shotgun sounded off from beyond the web in front of her, along with the rapid firing of the others rifles.. reacting quickly, she drew her shotgun and started loading it with dragonfire. soon, the booming retorts stopped, and thats when joanna started igniting the web. pretty soon, the web opened up, revealing a ichor and blood covered Wolf and squad. she frowned, "Where's the stray?" "we got seperated, curtsey of kyle," she motioned back, "he's back there swimming with some large fishies with a few holes in his leg and side." The squad looked worried, "well where is she? she could be anywhere by now!" "no," Joanna moved to the door to their left and opened it, revealing Artemis. "there she is."

Artemis looked up when she heard Joanna’s voice, and not in her head either. She looked over to a new light in the room when the door was opened. She sighed a bit before forcing herself to her feet. She staggered slightly before leaning against a desk to steady herself. She was tired and exhausted more than usual, and it wasn’t mentally either. That part of her phase went out the door when she had to pull herself through the water. No, she knew that it was from the blood loss earlier. None of them had time to relax from the point they entered into the facility, and she knew that it was just going to get harder. Gripping her side she forced herself to move toward the open door. She was almost hoping for a good boost of adrenalin, but when she heard the faint tapping of the unmistakably large spider she hated herself. She really wasn’t talking about it naturally, but wanted the drug more so. She tried to force herself to move faster only to stop when the huge spider dropped down in front of her. Artemis sighed a bit as she took a step back and her hand reached for her weapon. She watched intently as the spider stared at her, and she in tern returned the stare. Her hand wrapped around the butt of her gun slowly drawing it, and well aware of the other noise within the room. The current danger was the one that blocked her from the safety of the others. She knew that a few wasted rounds in the creature wouldn’t kill it, but **** it off enough to give her room to get through. That was all she needed.
This was her. The part about her that she enjoyed, to be able to stand here and look death in the face without fear. She was supposed to be fearless, emotionless, strong, built to take on an army . . . Yet her father knew something. New something from day one. He tried to tell her the only way she could ever understand. There was something else to this virus . . . something that Kyle wanted so bad that he killed her father when he found out the truth. An then there was something she sensed the moment she entered the room. At first she thought it was just Joanna, but there was something else. As she stared down the spider she understood something. She didn’t know how. Lowering her gun the spider moved forward, but stopped.
“I see,” she said lightly as she moved forward. She held out her hand. The spider in front of her twitched slightly, and the others in the room dropped from the ceiling. Artemis stopped just shy of touching the spider. The spider shifted for a moment as if in thought, before it moved aside. Artemis made her way past the spider. As she went through the door she quickly shut it, before leaning against it. Inside the room the spiders started going crazy. The could hear things slamming against the wall, and another striking the door. Artemis slid down the door to sit on the ground. Her hand absently went back to her side. I think I know why Kyle is ****ed about the virus. She looked up at Joanna and smiled tiredly. I wonder if you can play with the bugs like that.

the team was stunned by the display, Artemis had somehow made the spider bow move out of her way. Joanna was sure it had something to do with the virus, the fact that she hadn't used it, even known about it, until after she had 'opened' her mind to it was surely due to her not being informed of the virus.
Joanna wondered if she had a similar ability, but this wasn't the time to test a theory. moving to Artemis, she picked her up. "come on, we gotta get moving." the spiders in the other room were still going crazy, so everyone, reunited once again, moved down the passage.

With Joanna’s help they were able to quickly move through the room. After a bit her tired phase seemed to pass just slightly and she was able to move on her own. When they entered into another hallway it was much shorter than the others. One door to their right down another short hall, and then one ahead of him. One of the solders tried the door to their right, but found that it was locked. So they moved down the hall toward the unlocked door. Once the door was opened it lead into the secondary moon pool. Artemis sighed with relief as she followed Joanna into the room. She walked over to the other door in the room and tried to open the door, but it wouldn’t budge. She looked back as the last solder entered the room, and the door slammed shut.
“Check that door!” The soldier turned back to the door only to find that the door was secured. When he turned back he shook his head. She looked above the door as the red light come one to indicate that the pressure in the room was dropping. She looked over to Wolfe as she headed for a control panel. “Check and see if he’s taken complete control of the room. Bring the pressure up.”
Artemis turned to the conceal to close the moon pool finding the same issue as Wolfe. She had no control over it the pressure in the room. She cursed slightly before noticing something moving in the pool. She was to slow to reach, and she knew the reason why. As the tentacles struck her in the chest she cried as she was thrown back into the wall. She hit the wall, and collapsed to the ground struggling to grasp the situation. She looked up as Kyle surfaced from the pool. His tentacles wrapped around Joanna in order to keep her from drawing the weapon that had hurt him earlier. Without a word to anyone. He knocked away the few soldiers that stood in his way, but he made his way toward the door they had come through. Without any problem he opened the door, and moved back to the animal research lab with Joanna. As one of the soldiers moved to stop the door from shutting his was too late.
She used the wall to help her up, but collapsed to one knee. She reached for her handgun and pulled it out, but she found it hard to grip and it dropped from her hand. She looked up as the low pressure in the room already seemed to be affecting the soldiers in the room. She knew that they had to go back the way they came, but without that door being able to open they had to go another way. That other way would put them in the room she had to swim through. The problem for her though was being back in the water, but Kyle had Joanna now. “Wolfe,” she called out finding that her words come across more quite than she wanted. “The moon pool. There is a large enough whole in the room I come from for us to get through.” She tried to get up, but found it useless. “I need help though.”

Joanna was furious, kyle just didnt take a hint. She could feel vibrations through his tentacle that he had grabbed her with, and his chest was shaking as he took her back towards the testing room. He was Laughing! Reaching around with her head, she grabbed the hilt of her combat knife in the over-shoulder sheathe with her teeth and pulled it out. After repositioning it in her mouth, she drove it into the tentacle holding her. Kyle screamed at the unexpected pain, and reflexively dropped joanna.
Big mistake.
Wasting no time, she drew her pistol and started shooting at the remote that she could barely see under his skin. Several shots later, remote flew out of kyle, and dropped right at joanna's feet. By now, kyle was well and truelly ****ed, and charged at joanna. Scooping up the remote, she flew back down the passage way.
kyle was gaining, and she was running out of options. 'Well, heres as good a time as any to see if I have any powers.' She delved into her link and, metaphorically, flipped the switch.
In that instant, everything seemed to slow down except her thoughts. Just then, she saw the open blastdoor in front of her. Looking down at the remote, she had an idea. Going past the blast door, she looked back, pointing the remote at the portal, and hit the remote's button. Just as kyle was about to go through. The blast door came hurtling down, coming down right on top of kyle, crushing him.

Artemis struggled to her feet when she heard Kyle cry out. What scared her for a moment was losing the connection with Joanna. She felt something strange just before she disappeared. His own cry seemed to echo through the hall, and back toward them. An then she was back. She shook her head as she looked at the soldiers in the room seemed to struggle with their footing. After what seemed like an eternity there came a gentle breeze and the stale air seemed to freshen up a bit. She looked at the door when the loud click echoed through the room. One of the soldiers reached for it, but Wolfe stopped him. As they waited for the pressure in the room to equalize with the hallway Artemis worked on gathering her strength. Though the problem was it was a lot harder now. She finally had to force herself to pick up her gun. When the door was opened she staggered after the others.
As one of the soldiers helped steady her they heard Kyle’s resounding cry, and the grinding of. It then dawned on her. Kyle knew that the ammo that Joanna and she carried could hurt him. That was why he attacked like he did. She grabbed the soldiers arm for a moment to stop him. “Trade weapons with me.”
“What? Why?”
“The ammo I carry in my gun was the ammunition we were going after to begin with.” He nodded reluctantly and traded out handguns and the clips. With that they moved down the hall toward Joanna and Kyle. As they neared the area where Joanna had shut the door on Kyle they could see Kyle using the tentacles to lift the door off him. It seemed to wedge in place as Kyle moved toward Joanna backing her back into the animal testing labs. As one of Kyle’s tentacles shot out to grab Joanna a thick white web instead wrapped around the tentacle. The spider attached to it pulled back pulling Kyle off his feet and throwing him against the wall. Three spiders dropped from the ceiling in front of Joanna just as the others entered the room. Artemis looked at the soldier helping her. “You need to keep me conscious at all times. If I was to pass out whatever reason I control those things I will lose.”
He nodded in agreement as one of the spiders cried out as it attacked Kyle. The monster that Kyle had become was strong even for the damage he had taken. Though he also seemed to be on his last limb as well. She watched as he tore one of the legs from the spider and threw it across the room. “You wouldn’t know,” she mumbled to herself. She looked at Joanna for a moment, and then back to Kyle as he charged forward ignoring the spiders. He plowed right through the soldiers straight toward her, and she knew what he had intended to do. She shoved the soldier away from her just before Kyle reached her. He struck her hard in the chest causing her to cry out before gasping for air. One tentacle wrapped around her neck and pulled her off her feet. An then he turned his attention toward Joanna and charged at her.

Joanna wasnt surprised when kyle broke free, despite being on his last legs, he was still increadibly strong. neither was she surprised when he grabbed Artemis, and charged her, holding Artemis in front of him as a meat shield.
reaching deep into her mind, Joanna flicked her mental 'switch', activating her mutation. as everything became slower than a crawl, she was already drawing her pistol with the shredder ammo. by the she had brought it up, kyle was 10 meters away and closing. aiming at the tentacle holding Artemis, she fired. seeing everything in slow motion, she watched as her round tore the tentacle in half, releasing artemis. moving slowly to her right, she stretched her left arm out to catch artemis as she fell forwards. as artemis hit her arm, she grabbed her, and spun away from kyle's charging form. slowly, she brought her pistol up again, and sighted on kyles left knee. the first bullet tore through the flesh, smashing bone. the second obliterated the knee cap, and his leg slowly crumbled beneath him. the third and final bullet, tore his entire lower leg from the rest of him.
as she flicked her 'switch' off, kyle started to scream, which intensified as one the soldiers fired his pistol into his other knee, tearing that one apart.
artemis must have switched guns with him.
turning her head to face her, she came face to face with artemis, mere inches seperating the two. Joanna smiled gently.

Artemis was almost shocked at the speed that Joanna was showing. Even as she struggled with Kyle she could feel the link between her and Joanna seem to slow and made it hard to understand her feelings. Yet her action was fast and calculated, and she could only assume that the world around her seemed to slow as her actions seemed to speed up. As Artemis struggled with staying conscious and even more with the link on the spiders she was unaware of what was happening around her. When everything finally caught up with her she was face to face with Joanna, and Kyle was lying on the ground screaming in pain. She smiled tiredly in return, and then almost cried out in pain as one of the spiders forcefully broke its link. Absently she buried her face in Joanna’s shoulder as she gripped her shirt tightly.
The spider cried out, and as if on que the other three spiders were free of their link and making their way toward the group. As the soldiers turned to deal with the spiders the barley able to move Kyle used it’s tentacles in attempt to escape. As they reached for things to grab and pull his badly wounded body along the floor toward one of the pools in hopes of escaping the group. Then he stopped the moment he closed in on Joanna and Artemis. One of the tentacles reached out and wrapped around Joanna’s legs, and pulled her from Artemis. In return he threw her across the room causing him to hit the side wall hard. Artemis tried to stop him only to stumble over her own feet. Kyle was beaten badly and bleeding badly and yet he wasn’t giving up.
He swung a tentacle at her and somehow she managed to avoid it. She knew that one strike and that was it for her. She struggled on her feet as it was. As he swung again she realized why she was able to avoid his swings, and that was because of the damage that had already been done to him. She charged forward grabbing her bayonet as she moved to close the distance. The closer she got he brought his claws down across her chest only to find the armor didn’t even take any damage from his attack. “Should have left well enough alone,” she growled as she drove the blade into his chest. “You abandoned me, and the rest of Umbrella will know what Reaper’s like.” As she pushed the blade in further Kyle seemed to struggle to pull away.
She was well aware of the scorpion tail rising above her head. She waited for the last moment and then moved out of the way of the tail. Instead of piercing her like he had hoped the tail pierced his chest. Artemis staggered back as Kyle started screaming even more and thrashing around. As he seemed to struggle with his own life Artemis lost own battle. She collapsed hitting the ground hard and the bayonet sliding free of her hand. Her body seemed exhausted beyond anything she had experienced before, and she wanted nothing more to close her eyes. Yet the thought of Joanna kept her struggling to stay conscious.

Joanna slowly back on her feet, grimacing in pain. she had hit the wall badly, and with a lot of force. new injuries; 2 cracked ribs (3 in total), what felt like a deflated lung(left),broken collar bone(left) and a broken upper arm(left). over all, not the best shape she could be in.
but it could have been a lot worse.
she wasn't coughing up blood, so that was a plus. almost her entire left side was on fire. she pushed through it. she slowly sidled up to kyle, his struggling was growing weaker. his eyes, as he looked up at her, were filled with fear and hatred. she grinnned ferally as she brought up her pistol, "any last words?" hate completely filled his eyes as he openned his mouth, about to yell. before he could rant, joanna shot him through both eyes, the back of his head erupted, spewing brain and blood all over the floor. "sorry, didnt catch that."

Artemis closed her eyes, and the moment she did she could feel the world around her grow heavy. The pain that was mostly radiating from her side seemed to ease up as darkness grasped at her mind. Passing out was more than welcomed at this moment, and with the thought of Joanna alive and Kyle dead she didn’t care anymore. She welcomed the help of the drugs that Joanna had given her, and then pushed herself when they really didn’t seem to be working as much anymore.
When she felt firm hands shaking her she fought to stay in the world of darkness. She could hear words, but they seemed muffled. She was so tired, and all she wanted to do was sleep. Yet someone kept shaking her and shouting at her, and reluctantly she found herself being drawn back. Now she didn’t hear words but sirens, and that sound seemed to bring her fully around. With the help of the soldier that was attempting to wake her she was able to sit up. The room was shaking violently and the red emergency lights were flashing along with the siren.
The room shook violently again, and above them something hit the outer shell of the facility cracking the protecting layer. Artemis instantly felt her heart hit her throat as the water started pouring in from the now cracked roof.
“Was that one of the sharks?” one of the men asked as he moved to assist Joanna.
Artemis eyes Joanna carefully, and couldn’t help but admire her strength. Her she was capable of holding her own even after being hurt so badly. It seemed that everything about Joanna she couldn’t help but admire. She shook the wondering thoughts from her head and instantly regretted it as it sent the world spinning. She staggered slightly and was only capable of staying on her feet things to the soldier holding her up. “I’m going to expect . . .” she paused in thought for a moment. “It’s the lift elevator,” she finished as she looked dup at the others. “More than likely Kyle had set something up to destroy it and keep us here.”
There was an explosion and the room shook again. This time the walls seemed to moan from the stress of the water on the outside. Artemis sighed a bit. “This facility has taken too much damage to stay together much longer. We need to get to sub docking port, and see if we can get one of your fleets’ subs to meet us.”
“I assume that’s going to be easier said than done?” the soldier asked as he steadied Artemis so they could move better.
“Were going to have to cross the facility a lot faster than before and we still don’t know all the traps Kyle laid out there.” She stepped away from the soldier staggering a bit before finding her footing. She moved over to Kyle and knelt down beside him. Searching through his clothing she found the PDA in his pants pocket. Bringing it up she turned it on and smiled at the layout through the facility. “And now as long as everything still works we have control over the facility.” She looked at Joanna and smiled tiredly. “Do you think you can get ahold of a sub to meet us?”

"the USS hit-squads came in via mini-subs which they docked in the sub-bay." Joanna looked at Rebecca, who had spoken, nodding. "thats good, the USS currently uses 8 man mini-subs, even if some are damaged, even 1 will be enough."
going over to Artemis, she switched her pistol to her left hand and slid her right around artemis, both to support her and to just hold her. "we better get going if were gonna get out of here." she said as the the sound of water began to sound closer. and with the rush of water, came the screeching of what sounded like hundreds of spider BOW's.

Artemis was a bit surprised when Joanna put her arm around her. She could tell that Joanna was hurt, but still chose to help her. The soldier returned her gun, but she wondered how much use it would be. She was spent, and even standing was straining. She could feel her body trembling as she stood there, and she wondered if Joanna felt it too because at that moment she felt her grip tighten around her waist. She looked at Joanna and was about to say something until she heard the unmistakable sound of the spiders. “Time to move,” she said as she looked back in the direction the noise was coming. “If I hold them off now someone’s going to have to carry me out of here.” She looked back at Joanna. “It’s taking everything just for me to stand.”
Joanna nodded and the group started to move through a side door. Now with the ability to move freely within the facility thanks to the control would make it a bit easier to get to where they needed to go. When one of the soldiers opened the door a wave of water rushed in knocking down the few in front of them. Artemis gasped slightly as she tightened her grip on Joanna. She sighed a bit and shook her head smiling a bit. Somehow she found it funny that with everything she had been through that the water still affected her more. She looked at Joanna. “I’ve gone this far.” She looked at the room in front of them. “I’m going to need nerve pills after this,” she mumbled under her breath. As they moved into the next room she was a bit relieved to find that the water was only knee deep, but in the adjacent room the spiders broke in through the door. She looked back as one of the soldiers secured the door.
