Sam put a hand on Madison's arm, keeping her in the room. She didn't think it was a good idea to have the other woman leave. They were going to make sure the boy was alright, and were going to see where to move him and what they could do to make him safe.
"We aren't here to harm you, you're right. And I know you won't hurt us. My name is Sam, this is Madison. We're here to help you. Can we sit, maybe have a soda and just talk? If you don't want to tell us anything that's fine too."

Now Madison seemed like somebody who wasnt confident, to both her client and her new partner. The good start thing was starting to get a little shakey. But turning back was much easier, and when she heard Rafael speak again, it put her at ease. "No soda. Chemicals. Bottles water. Its clean, also.", he politely responded. Rafael was interesting, because even though he was young, and had seen the things he did, he had a good sense for his own health. Where Madison came in, however, was his mental health, though it wasnt right to casually drop that sort of question right now, even though it was her job. That was the ironic part about her being nervous, she was suppose to be the one helping people, not the other way around.
Finding that maybe it wouldve been taken as an escape, Madison quickly went for the fridge in the kitchen, which was actually in plain sight from the living room, so there was no misconception. On the bottem shelf was two cases of water, one of them opened. She grabbed two of them and walked back to the room, closing the door behind her and checking to make sure it stuck when it did. Madison wasnt at all thirsty, but she wasnt sure about Sam. As the two bottles no lay on the table, Rafael picked up on and immediately unscrewed the cover, taking a gulp. It made herself seem a little more priviliaged, even embarrest on the inside, but nobody would see it or note her train of thought. He mentioned not drinking soda, because of chemicals, but water was the same with her, even though she could sit down and drink a soda, as well.
"Was the BSAA treating you alright? They seem like maybe they might be scared of you. Are you okay with them being outside, or would you rather they left?" If there was something else going on here, Madison was confident enough that it would be best in the long run if the BSAA did leave. There was no chance the boy could or would do anything, and she knew that before even giving a proper psych evaluation. He was too respectful, and didnt even so much as glance down from eye contact with her face. "I do not mind them. They help. One help very much in my country, he help me. I would not have this chance to be visit the United States if not for him.", he referenced. Madison remembered seeing there had been one BSAA Agent who found him. She looked at Sam, knowing that if she had experience with things over there, maybe her questions would be better suited next, now that she set up a conversation.

Sam took the other water, thanked Madison for it, and opened it, drinking a bit before setting it down and continuing the interview. She wasn't sure if this was an interview, or an interrogation. It might have been both but she was going to make sure they got what they needed and made sure that the boy was taken care of as well.
"I know you've been through a lot, and I am glad that there was someone that was able to help you, able to get you here where it is safe. If you are alright with talking about it, can you tell us what happened? We'd like to know as much as we can, so we can make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else."
She looked at Madison, waiting for her to chime in. She wasn't sure how much information the teen was going to give them, but she was going to take this slow, and do it right.

"Just what you want to tell us. We will listen, and we wont judge you, I promise. You can trust us.", she spoke. Rafael was going to take this opportunity to get things off his chest, and was glad that the soldiers had all went away now. The two girls were very comforting, they were here to help, and didnt think he was a bad person. "I will talk. Tell what happened. Because you two I like. You wont understand why the things I do, but that I did them because less choice." Aside from the shoddy English structure, his pronounciation was good, meaning there had to have been some education of the English language where he grew up. Madison and Sam let him finish, patiently taking seats in the two chairs in the living room nearby.
Rafael finished the bottle of water, downing the entire thing, before setting it onto the table in front of him and continuing on. "They made us for war. Drugs. Jobs. Young age I shoot well, kill many men. But no women, this I would not do. For drug high up, we used for protecting them. Drugs were bad, they turn bad men and good men to demons. North America come, aid us. But some came for us. Not all soldiers good. One not like the others. They are demons too. They will come for me." Near the end, it got a little strange. Clearly there was something else going on here, but Madison knew that he needed to calm down. This was too much for him to talk about now, because the kid was starting to cry.
Looking at Sam and moving up from her seat, Madison walked over to the young teen, and sat beside him, putting her arms around him. Anything to try and comfort him, keep him calm. She looked at Sam, shaking her head. Whatever the hell actually happened was rough, and imagining that Sam herself had went through a similar experience was giving a different perspective on how strong her partner actually was.
Thats when Madison felt the boys hands around him move down her back, and grab for the pistol in her jeans belt. She tried to turn and stop him, but he already had it in his hands, and jumped up from the chair, backing away from the two women. He pointed it toward them, the feeling of dread and fear going through her, having never had a gun pointed at her before. Madison didnt know how Sam was reacting, she was too focused on silently begging for her life. But Rafael only had it pointed at them for a short time before turning it onto himself, and her eyes slammed shut when the gunshot went off.

Sam looked at the blood-stained wall and the crumpled teen's body, her mind just now realizing what happened. The boy had been fast, and had taken his own life before they could have done anything to stop him. She put her arms around Madison, turning her away from the sight as the BSAA men came in. She shook her head, leading the other shocked woman out of the room.
"It's alright, don't look back. Just don't look back. We're going to go outside, and then you can throw up. I'll take care of this, let's just get you outside."
Once they got outside, she lead Madison to the front yard, and then she let the other woman be sick on the lawn as she took out her phone. With trembling hands she called into the office, an she let her breath come out slowly as she waited for someone to answer. She didn't know what the hell happened back there, but she was going to find out what the boy was so scared of.

Nothing was real, and if it was, she had no control over what was going on. Only being taken outside by her partner. Madson was jolted by the images of the boy killing himself, and immediately hunched over, vomiting onto the lawn beside the small tiled walkway beside the parked vehicles. Almost gasping for breath, she just focused on getting out whatever she needed. She had dealt with this before, but it wasnt like this, not in the same room, not five feet in front of her. Though there hadnt been any of her own mess on her, when Madison glanced down at the red, she seen small specs of blood matting her chest and neck. Looking at her partner, she wanted to open her mouth, but couldnt find any words, still in shock.
"Get her home. The BSAA will take care of everything. But I need to talk to one of you for a situation report in person. We can talk about the details in my office." The director spoke on the other end, and by this time, one of the agents had come out of the house. Agent Vega had ordered the BSAA to contact authorities, and take care of the mess while he tended to the TerraSave employees. From his understanding, this was their first day on the job, and things evidentaly didnt go so well. When he got outside, Vega noticed that Lockheart had been sick to her stomach, and a little bit too shaken up for questions, so he immediately addressed her partner. "I dont need to ask questions to know what happened in there, and since it was my service pistol, ill claim full responsibility for this. You two should go, are you okay to drive?"

Samantha nodded, and gathered Madison, helping her up and getting her towards the car. She helped the other woman in, and then got in herself, planning on driving the woman since she didn't appear to be in any condition to drive the vehicle.
"You know, they want me to take you home. I really don't think being alone would be a good idea right now. You want to come to my place, we can get you some coffee, and then we can go and give them our report. I don't know about you but I could use a few minutes to figure out what the hell happened back there."
She put a hand on the woman's knee, giving her a reassuring smile as she put the woman's car into Drive and began pulling away. They needed to get away from the building, and she knew the woman needed somewhere that she could feel safe, and take the time to process what had just occurred. She didn't think the woman would be able to handle going back to the office just yet. Joel could help her try and figure out what happened, and could also use a friendly smile right now. Joel would do for the moment.

With her just agreeing and allowing herself to be lead around, all the while dwelling on what just happened, Madison found herself in her car with Samantha. They didnt know where they were going, but so long as it was away from there, thats all that mattered to her. Thankfully, they were, and at a fairly fast speed too. Madison was realizing what happened, replaying it over in her head several times, and she didnt even hear what her partner said to her. Only nodded, knowing that whatever they were doing, wherever she was going, was better then where they were.
Giving signs that she had completely ignored what Sam said, Madison spoke, now playing it over verbally to make sense of things. "I took the gun, put it into the back pocket of my jeans. Then we went inside, and talked to Rafael. There was a point when I forgot I even had the gun, and I was comfortable. He got so close, and he accepted our help. Then grabbed the gun, and..." She cut herself off. Madison didnt need to go any further.
Seeing as the blood on her clothing wasnt going to wipe away, since it had been stained, the only thing she could do was get it off her skin. Which was putting more of it onto the sleeve of her shirt, but she didnt care. Madison just wanted to get it off, and realizing that she had an shirt on under her work clothes, she managed to wriggle it off, bunching it up into a ball and dropping it to her feet. The only thing left was her black tshirt with the image of an eagle on the front, and her teal TerraSave work pants, which blood handnt reached. It was a struggle, but finally, she felt clean, and a lot more calm then she was before.
Maybe Samantha had said something else, or maybe she just kept quiet and to herself, but Madison decided to talk to her. "Im okay. Really. Ive had experiences like this before. Okay, they werent quite like this, but close enough. Hey, the headquarters isnt this way, and you dont even know where I live, so where are we going?" It was obvious Madison was still nervous, because she had been talking a lot. But she was calm none the less.

Sam just shook her head, letting a small smile creep to her lips as she put on a little more speed, getting them on the freeway and on the way to her place. She figured the woman wouldn't catch on to half of what she had told her, so she made sure Madison was paying attention before she spoke again.
"The shock is still setting in. I know this is going to be hard, but I am taking you to my place before we go in. My father, the guy that's not my father, he helped me survive Racoon City. He can help you get through this, and may even be able to help us get through this, figure out what made hte kid do that. It's good to have friends in low places."
She knew that Edward stayed in contact with Kate, and between the two of them they had to know something about what had just happened. They had too many sources of information to be blind about this. And besides, she knew Kate had a thing for Edward, lord knows she did when she was younger. All she had to do was ask Kate to help him look into something and she'd be on the first flight to them with whatever they needed.

"So its all real, youre not making that up." Madison sounded a little surprised, but really, she knew that Sam was telling the truth. It was just a little hard to believe, and maybe she was overdoing the truth a little, but it seemed this was actually what happened. Mixed with what just happened, it was a lot to process, but Madison stayed calm, and just accepted things for how they were going.
"Okay. We can talk to him. But I do need to get home. This was already suppose to be an orientation job, my nine to five doesnt start this week. Christ, a kid, Sam. I still cant believe he did that. They said it would be easy. I dont know if we even did out jobs or not, like I dont know if we did the right thing." Still nervous, Madison continued. She was ready to meet Sams friend, but far as figuring this out goes, she needed to take some time. "Ill stay for a bit, but im gonna need some time to myself. Its how I deal with things."
The car turned down the street, and Madison looked at the passing houses and stores. This side of town had been a lot nicer than hers, but there had definitely been a lot more people. Being here for only a month wasnt long enough to get used to the city, and she would still much rather move out into the countryside. But then getting to work would just be a bigger gas bill, and shed need to be up earlier just to even make it on time. The fact she was thinking about all of this might have been a good thing, but that it would just be her way of coping, by avoiding what happened. It would be apparent she was drifting, feeling mentally exhausted, which was draining her physically as well. She needed a long nap.

"A cup of coffee, a quick debriefing, a chat to help strengthen your nerves, and then I'll get you home. I can get a cab from there to the office and then back to my place."
As Sam pulled into her driveway, she saw that Edward's car was already there. He must have come back early from a case, or been working from home that day. Either way she was glad he was already there, it would make sorting this out a lot easier. She stopped the car, got out and helped Madison do the same. She saw the woman looking down at the bloody clothes, and grabbed them up, wanting to make sure that the clothes was out of the woman's mind for the time being. She could clean them while they talked, it was sad that at her age she knew how to get lots of blood out of most fabrics.
"Edward? Hey we've got a guest! Tell me you have pants on already!"

Feeling like there was no getting out of it, it seemed like Madison was going to be getting closer to her partner sooner rather then later, and that also meant meeting her father. Or whatever the situation was, she still didnt quite rationalize it yet. Her eyes darted back to her clothes being taken from her, and then made her way toward the house. It was a nice place, definitely in a pretty quiet neighborhood, nothing too fancy. It was cozy, very relaxed, and well maintained.
Madison nearly chuckled at the joke, hoping that whoever was inside was decent, it being a joke or not. It definitely made light of the situation, and that was always for the better. It felt more like acceptance then ignorance at this point. Thankfully, the man came out from an office looking room, and had been wearing a very casual shirt and dark jeans. "Made a friend already? Youre more popular than me. Names Edward, please, co-" Edward started, but when he seen the bloodied clothing that Sam had been carrying with her, he immediately snapped into a very serious, strict tone. It wasnt anything like a parent, it was something else. "Whos blood is that? Whats going on?"
Not long after that, Edward walked over to the door, brushing past Madison, and locked it, then peered out from the front blinds. She wasnt exactly sure what he was doing, but figured that he must have his reasons for assuming the worst. But Sam seemed to have it covered with telling him what happened, which was good, because Madison didnt know how to explain it without shaking up.

"It's not ours, came from a boy the BSAA brought in from South America. Said he ran into some pretty nasty stuff down there. He got a hold of a gun, and said they were going to be coming for him. He decided not to wait around for them to do that."
Sam guided Madison into the house and placed the clothing by the door, intending to wash it once they got her settled in.
"This is Madison my new partner. She could use a little time to take in what happened, and we want to find out who might have been coming after the boy. Do you think you could look over the files with us, and I'll get a pot of coffee made and order some Chinese?"
She took Madison to the kitchen table and sat her down, giving her shoulders a rub and hoping she hadn't made the woman feel nervous. They needed to gather all of the information they could, and see where the bread crumbs led to. If she was lucky maybe the BSAA could help, but she wasn't counting on them telling her anything right now. They more than likely had an investigation going of their own.

The touch of her partner was a little startling at first, but realized that it was her being friendly. Madison wasnt used to people touching her, which was why it caught her off guard so much when the kid, Rafael, hugged him. Edward seemed nice enough, and she just listened to two of them talk back and forth about what was going on. It was clear that the man knew a lot, and had experience doing something, but he didnt work for TerraSave. Or the BSAA, he didnt have the look, it was something else, but Madison wasnt going to ask questions.
"Ill throw these clothes in the wash look them over, see what I cant figure out." Edward said, leaving the room holding the paperwork and Madisons mess. She had a washer of her own, and felt like she was almost imposing, but they were already so quick to help, she just kept to herself. Coming back into the living room, Edward browsed through, looking for the details that mattered. There was a lot going on, who the kid was, what hes been though. But if anything stood out more than the rest, it wasnt some sort of PTSD, this was something else they werent overlooking because the answered werent in front of them. At least not here in these papers. "Doesnt give any names, but I think you two should talk with the commanding agent in change of the operation they held there. The BSAA would have more answered because they were directly involved, and it wasnt just an extraction. Says here they were in the area of operations for nearly a month."
It wasnt something that Sam needed help with, but with what happened, it was clear that she didnt have her mind through everything in the file. Their job was looking after the kid, not the details about what the BSAA was doing here in the first place, so it was understandable. "But Sam, I know you might wanna dive into this, but you should take a break first. This incident only just happened. Might want to give TerraSave some breathing room, they lost an asset to. This is a loss for them, not just you two."

"We have to report in, well, I do. They want me to take Madison home, and let her take a few to get this all settled out in her head. I didn't think going home before we discussed this was a good idea. We need to take whatever information we have and compile it, find out what's going on. Figured a third head would help."
Sam started passing out the hot coffee, and then sat down next to the woman and gave her knee a squeeze. She tried to give Madison her best smile, and hoped it was convincing.
"We're going to get through this, and we're going to find answers. I promise. We'll know what's causing this, and we'll make them pay."
She felt a lightbulb click on, and she rapped her knuckles on the table. Kate had to know something about this. She covered BSAA stories all the time, she could find someone that would know more about this. She had a feeling they'd be stonewalled if they tried to get any information right now. She quickly took out her phone and sent the woman a text letting her know what she needed, and that her and Edward were looking into it. That would get her.
