Kaz was releived to hear her voice. "Chrysil" He responded. By the sounds of it, they were only a few corridors apart. He walked back until he reached the licker's bodies, there he saw Chrysil. "You are ok?" He was lucky, the lickers had not attacked him at all, as he shot them too quickly, which was the whole reason he picked the narrow corridor, easy aiming.
He thought about the creatures for a second, he still did not know how they attacked or what they were called. He guessed they were lickers because of the tongues, but he was not sure. "Chrysil we should move, more will come. I'm sorry for shooting, but they would have found us and killed us. I can't die just yet." He reloaded his gun. He awaited Chrysil's inevitable rage at him for disobeying her.

Chrysil heard her name called out from somewhere on the same floor, she didn't have to move far until her and Kaz ran into each other, a massive wave of stress was pushed out of her mind and into oblivion, "Bloody hell," she started in what would have been her fit of anger if she didn't control herself so well, "I'm fine, it's you I'm worried about. You weren't injured by the Lickers or anything?" after asking Chrys gave Kaz a once over just to be sure, checking for any signs of blood at all, "Oh, and for the record, those are the Lickers; normally a combat encounter with them ends in a fatality; one not on their account," her memory flickered through the photo's she had taken of human dismemberment, "You're freaking lucky," she added.
"Chrysil we should move, more will come. I'm sorry for shooting, but they would have found us and killed us. I can't die just yet."
"If you hadn't shot then we wouldn't be worrying about more encouters; a brick in the opposite direction would send them way off course..." she stopped explaining, it was effortless at this point when zombies could be marching in from every entrance, "Safest place we can be at the moment is likely the closest military checkpoint," she continued, "Then we can start searching for your friends; but we'll have to cover this block by roof before dropping down to ground level, this area's likely compromised now," she finished at a more warmer tone and headed back for the stairwell.

Kaz headed back up to the roof to check out the situation. Once reaching the top, he peered out, more cautiously this time, over the edge. No more lickers. But zombies had gathered at the entrance, the zombies in the construction site itself had found a different way out, it seemed they were surrounded.
Kaz looked around at the various buildings nearby. He spotted one building behind the current one. The roof was a fair jump away, but it was their only chance. Kaz, assuming Chrysil had followed him, spoke. "We will need to jump over that gap, I'll go first. Throw your equipment over first. I'll catch it so it doesn't break."
Kaz took a few steps back, he then took a sprinting jump between the rooftops. He realized he would make it, so instead he got ready for what he called a 'danger roll'. A free running roll that avoided injury from high falls. So as he hit the roof he put his shoulder down and rolled profesionally forward. He then turned to wait for Chrysil.

Chrysil veared back and put her weight into her backpack getting as much momentum as possible for it to clear the gap, her Samsung she kept on herself though, the Nikkor zoom in a specialized satchel attached to her belt. Neither of them left her body in any scenario. She took more distance than Kaz had and started running, she felt on course for taking off with her right foot. There was a brief rush as she chanced a look down at the alley below, throwing herself off a little for the landing and rolling uncontrollable several times. Chrys picked herself up and dusted herself off feeling a little more comfortable after getting away from the building that you could more or less call 'on fire' for a situation like this.
"Thanks," Chrys said as she took her backpack from Kaz and started walking across the new rooftop and continued on. The next block was a lane in distance from the block they were on, Chrys pointed in the direction of the military checkpoint, "It's just over there, well, a couple of blocks in that direction anyway. It's situated in the park outside the city hall," she explained looking back at Kaz. She motioned to him, "Relax a sec, no need for massive leaps here," she notioned.
A huge bilboard crossed over the top of the lane at a slight angle, Chrysil pulled a pin out of the metal crank on her side and started winding the crank around. It wasn't loud, just a small crunching sound was heard from the crank shaft as the bilboard slowly rotated backwards, it advertised some action movie that was being released at the time starring an emerging actor who was probably a nobody; tough break. Chrys hopped up and crossed the board, keeping her balance even if it was wide enough to be relaxed on.
She waited for Kaz to cross before cranking the bilboard back up and sticking a pin in the opposite side to make sure it didn't break off, "So, who are these two people you're looking for," she asked Kaz while linking then pin up with a small chain, making sure any weather didn't threaten to push it out, "They didn't say why they were working for Umbrella, or what they were doing?" the Umbrella connection was what she wanted to clear up first, unfortunately being interupted by the Lickers before hand; now that they were making distance from the hot zone she took the opportunity to ask before reaching the military checkpoint and even mutterning the pharmaceutical corporations name.

((Hmm, maybe Kaz's parents can turn into just more than a reason to be in Raccoon City.))
Kaz followed Chrysil across the billboard. He saw horrific sights below, mutilated corpses and groups of zombies. He could only imagine what horrors this city contained. But he no longer cared.
"So, who are these two people you're looking for,"
Kaz replied, his voice emotionless. "My Mother and Father." He paused for a moment. "....Eisaku and Kayami."
"They didn't say why they were working for Umbrella, or what they were doing?"
"Well, they came here 4 years ago, but... But... I never had the courage to come and look for them when we lost contact. I have a friend, Rick, he hired the helicopter you saw before. He has flown over here from Japan with me to take pictures and get stories, like you. He is a good friend.... My parents came here to look at Umbrella's products, investigate them, in one way. They deal in business, primarily chemical-based products, you see." Kaz's eyes went wild for a second as he felt close to his goal. "Who are umbrella? What do they do, and what do they make?"
He eagerly awaited Chrysil's response. Maybe this journey wasnt such a waste after all.

"Interesting," Chrysil said, more to herself than a reply to Kaz, "Umbrella is a pharmaceutical corporation..." she started while unhitching a sling which was tied to a clothes drying line suspended between two buildings, "...Which makes sense on your parents interests. Umbrella is the reason behind this whole mess, see, there's this virus called 'Tyrant' and the accidental bi-product of that are zombies. That's about as much as I know on the virus itself, Umbrella on the other hand goes much more deep. However it was terrorists which caused the world wide pandemic, thankfully not causing as much damage as one could fathom," Chrys hopped up onto the foot sling which was attached to the pully and shimmied across to the other building before hitting a switch to send it back Kaz's way.
She continued once he'd made it to the other side, "Umbrella isn't a name you hear often now though, as there isn't a hell of a lot left of it; but the mention of it, even in casual terms, means only bad news," Chrysil pulled the bag of crisps out of her backpack while they walked and began munching on them, "Now if your parents were here on business terms...hmm...well, money typically would be involved. There's bound to be more to it, though. What was happening four years ago..." Chrys drifted off after asking herself the question, drifting to the privacy of her own head, "Well, the clean up started; Tricell starts handing out incentives for the development of a cure for the T-Virus," she continued eating, fueling herself as if to think more clearly and recall instances.
"Investigating Umbrella's products, could have been a ruse for an ulterior mean; I'm not about to start saying negative things though. Need to know more," Chrys hopped over a small gap, then edged around a sky light which had been broken; she looked in only to see darkness, pulling herself up thinking about what could be looking back, "Okay, what did your parents do before moving to the States; were they involved with any other business transactions in Japan? Most importantly, did they seem secretive about what they did; the move seem sudden at all?" considering Kaz's lack of knowledge as to Eisaku and Kayami's full expressions for why they travelled Chrys didn't expect him to know much more, she'd lay off after seeing as it could end up being a touchy subject. As you would, to keep things intact.
Chrys jumped off a ledge into a rooftop garden looking out in front of herself at the dimly lit military checkpoint, makeshift towers and sturdy walls; she basked a little in its glowing light knowing that a minute part of civilisation was a hundred metres away. A proper hot meal would be first on the agenda, sunlight wasn't too far off and Chrys hadn't done a lot in terms of sleep; if they wanted to make it to the next checkpoint they needed to be well rested, then she could kick into gear and start asking around about anything Umbrella related, 'The majority of the time the criminal remains close to the crime,' she reminded herself; it was a bullsh*t idea but Chrysil found it to be mostly true, "C'mon in," she beamed, "Foods up, but I can't guarantee it'll be anything else other than some form of soup. If we're lucky though we'll catch the last dregs of gulash," Chrys made herself more hungry as she pulled herself over the edge of the building and slid down the access ladder.

Umbrella is the reason behind this whole mess, see, there's this virus called 'Tyrant' and the accidental bi-product of that are zombies.
Kaz felt his heart sink for a moment. If his parents had visited Umbrella itself somehow, there is a large chance that they might be infected.
"Okay, what did your parents do before moving to the States; were they involved with any other business transactions in Japan? Most importantly, did they seem secretive about what they did; the move seem sudden at all?"
Kaz had to think about this for a moment. It was a bad memory for him. He remembered it, he remembered that conversation with his father.
"Kazuhiko, your Mother and I are leaving for America."
"What? Why?"
"We have to make a deal with Umbrella. Truth be told, money is running low, we are getting less and less business deals. I don't know when we will be back.
The memory cut unusually deep, they were the last proper things he said to his parents. He tried to get them to explain. But they would not say any more. He had always thought he was reasonably close to his parents, but they seemed to just abandon him, there and then. Kaz felt his face sag, sadness showing through. He also felt a single tear brim, but he held it back. He realized that in these last 4 years, he had not shed a single tear, nor an expression of sadness for his parents. Maybe they were not a real family at all. Maybe he would find them, resuce them and they would not even recognize him. He should be at home, discussing a takeover of his Father's business now that he had gone.
He had thrown away his life, and now he was stuck here with some stupid journalist. That was how he saw it now. He spoke to Chrysil "Yeah.... they were secretive. Maybe it's not so bad that their gone." He realize that it would sound meaner to Chrysil than he meant it, but didn't bother to explain further. All memories of his parents suddenly fealt bitter.

"Yeah.... they were secretive. Maybe it's not so bad that they're gone."
Chrysil stopped metres before the checkpoint, this was the last opportunity to speak openly before holding their tongues for the next couple of hours, "Hey, there's no reason to be negative about this," she said, noticing the change in expression on his face, "Umbrella is...was, dangerous. It's likely that your parents didn't want any harm to come of you, they may have known what they were in for and knew that you might get hurt. One thing's for sure is, if that's the case, they at least let you know where they were going so in case something happened they knew someone would come to help them,"
She stepped forwards, Chrys placing a reassuring hand over Kaz's shoulder albeit he was way higher than she was, "'America' and 'Umbrella', it's a start. Narrows it down a couple'a hundred thousand square kilometres aye?" she put a smile on, then shook his shoulder as if to metaphorically rid the demons off of Kaz's back, "You just got here... we have plenty'a time to look," Chrys winked and let go of Kaz, turning back to the checkpoint, "Now lets try some Raccoon City cuisine,"
A camera tracked her movements, Chrys stepped up a couple of steps to the checkpoint door which was hidden in a corner alley behind a barricade; the camera was probably watching her the entire time but it wasn't a huge concern, just the automated security system following anything moving. She looked up and waved at the camera, pointing to Kaz and then pointing to herself; straight away a bolt could be heard unlocking and the door opened. As Chrys entered a man approached her and started the infection screening, holding her arms up and holding out her backpack to the man. She was a regular so he waved her off, turning down the further search.
Chrysil moved in to the makeshift cafeteria, walking over to the short line infront of it, "Sometimes these places can be packed, but a lot of the time it's fairly quiet. Especially at this time of night," she explained to Kaz before pointing out to the made up benches several people were sitting or sleeping on, not a lot of them appeared phased, just tired. She moved up once it was her turn, "Whadda ya got tonight Mark?" Chrys asked looking down into the hot pan.
"Jesus," a huge, dark skinned man looked up, he donned a security uniform but over the top of it was a kitchen apron, "You're still around these parts Chrys? Thought you'd be long gone by now," he had emphasised on the word 'long', his voice slightly booming, "Why on earth are you still in Raccoon..." he leaned forwards to whisper at her, "...I hear some stuff's goin' down, BSAA agents air droppin' into the city, somethin' 'bout a bomb being in the CBD! Heard it from a bunch'a liberals that swooped in last night!"
Chrys snickered slightly, "C'mon Mark, you and I both know that if any intel of that kind went through here, I'd be the first to know," she put several pints of 'tough' in that sentence, the big man nodded in response thinking back on what he'd heard, "The BSAA's got no reason to have an AO in Raccoon City," she added while picking up a metal tray and sliding it onto the bench, "So what'cha got for us tonight?" Chrys asked looking at all the different types of slosh that resided in each pot.
Mark grinned, "Well as a matter of fact we got the refrigerator workin' here, so the last lot of stuff to come in was frozen goods, and I put meaning into the 'goods' part of it!" he replied, "I got pies, rolls, chicken, all sorts comin' out of the oven right about now. Of course I'm no cook, but it beats the hell out of egg plant soup I can tell you that," he laughed, "What's your poison," Mark finished.
Chrysil felt she was on a winning streak, "I'll snatch a pie then, plus some red curry you got there. Any water too, if you've got some left. Sewage chugged it recently and nothing but brown comes out of taps," Chrys finished her request.
"I hear'ya," Mark slid a hot pie onto Chrys' tray and plodded on two scoops of curry, reaching under the counter for a bottle of water, "UNECT recently caught on to that, provisions were cut in half to send more in our direction. Now they're askin' for people to get out of the city, evac choppers doin' runs on the outskirts once a week. They just want to quarantine this area so they don't need to worry 'bout it any more, leave the supplies in the Arklays were the bigger checkpoints sit at the moment,"
Chrys picked up her tray, "I know, old news. Thanks Mark," as she started walking away from the bench she turned around, "And don't be so surprised when I show up next time,"
"Yeah, you know it," Mark retorted before looking to the next person in line, "Good evenin' sir, what can I serve up for ya,"
Chrys sat down at a bench halfway in the main tent, starting to work away at her food. She frowned a little at the people around her, most of them were stragglers finding a place to rest, anyone else was a dweller or traveler. The odds of finding anyone to question were a little slim, some individuals stood out of the crowd to Chrys but other than that leads were dry around here. She spoke under her breath, covering her hand a little, once Kaz had sat down, "If you, or your parents, knew anyone in Raccoon City that would help. It looks like all I can do is fire names off and see whether it jogs anyones memories,"

Kaz felt little reassurance from Chrysil's actions, but he never had been easy to reassure, he was very blunt. He knew himself that he was a pessimist. He was intrigued by this security checkpoint. He realized they would not be able to discuss Umbrella in the checkpoint. Kaz spotted the camera, he hesitated for a second, but realized that there was no harm in entering a checkpoint. He had always been quite cautious.
As he entered the checkpoint he was also screened for any infection. He was clean, which was actually a weird relief for him, as he did not know how this virus worked. He stepped into the checkpoint and glanced at a man sleeping on a bench. The situation must be pretty damn desperate here, but at least there are a few checkpoints... he thought to himself as he followed Chrysil into the queue. He looked upon the unappealing slosh. But the man mentioned pies and other foods, which sounded nicer. Kaz wasnt actually that hungry, but he knew that this may be his last chance for food for a while, so he asked for a roll and a bottle of water.
He sat down with Chrysil, eating his roll slowly and taking small sips of water so he could save some of the bottle.
"If you, or your parents, knew anyone in Raccoon City that would help. It looks like all I can do is fire names off and see whether it jogs anyones memories,"
He thought for a moment. Anyone that he could remember visiting them.... He remembered his parents mentioning a name...
"Carl Jake." Kaz said the name a bit too loud, but he was just glad that he remembered it. He quietned his voice. "Carl Jake..." He repeated.

Chrysil wiped some sleep from her eyes, she forgot how much more welcome it was to stay at a checkpoint than on the top of a windy roof, 'That deck chair beats the hell out of these benches though,' Chrys rolled her eyes at this mental statement and went back on it, 'At least they're cusioned, it's better than concrete,' plus the food was good, expressed by her body language obviously. She ate fast, but not too fast incase of indegestion; god that stuff was uncomfortable. The thought made Chrys slow down as a matter of fact, she took another sip of water to control things.
She took the opportunity to analyse the survivors in the checkpoint; most of your usuals, they never usually said a word. There was always one or two people Chrys had never seen before, passing by as they made their way through Raccoon City to Stoneville and beyond. Striking conversation with them was hard, and even though it was obvious that they had some serious information that Chrysil could put to use they wouldn't budge a word.
First guy that caught Chrys' attention was one in a raggedy rain coat, covered from head to toe except for his head; the hood pushed back. He was a large bloke, but didn't appear as if he would hurt a fly; he sipped at a cup of coffee while scrolling through his own notebook terminal on the bench in front of him, hooked up with two ethernet cables. That was one thing that always stood out, and one thing which Chrys always hid when she connected to the remaineder of the world wide web. Regardless, he could just be a bystander carrying some serious tech on his trek.
Next was a aging man who was keeping the greatest amount of difference from everyone else; looked synical, but it could have been a cover; if he was synical though it meant he could spill things more easily. He looked like he was on the verge of Parkinsons though, and hadn't had a wash in a long time. His fatigues were unique though, bottom half of his body was clothed in combat wear; although he might have picked it up from a couple of checkpoints East who were handing out clothes some time ago.
Finally, a woman; Chrys didn't usually see her own kind in Raccoon, but it was a pleasant sight once in a blue moon. She looked a little disgruntled, sticking to her meal and not looking up at anyone else around her. Her right hand held a tattoo, and Chrysil assumed it traveled all the way up her arm. The patch on her shoulder was what caught Chrys' attention though, 'RPD, would Mark know anything about her?' she made the top of the list for questions. None of them looked like they were about to go anywhere fast, so Chrys could wait a while, let her and Kaz's appearance at the checkpoint go below noticed before she moved at all.
"Carl Jake."
Chrys looked up at Kaz, the past several minutes he had been dwelling on the issue without her realizing. For a split moment Chrys glanced about the checkpoint, several people had taken notice but paid little attention. Her view went over the three people she'd witnessed, notebook man didn't pay any attention, neither did the old bloke; it was the woman he shuffled though, turning her back slightly towards them both. Might have been coincidence either way.
Chrysil leaned forwards, "What does it mean to you?" she asked, "Did he know your parents? Meet them at all before they traveled here?..." she paused for effect, "Did he work for Umbrella?" it was a lead, and the more names she knew the better Chrysil felt. Better yet, a regular employee in Raccoon City would be well recalled rather than a couple of business spokespeople. If he was high up, it would be an excellent start.

Kaz took another few minutes to sift through his memories. Carl Jake. Carl Jake. A friend of his fathers. They had known each other for a while, but Kaz doubted that his Father knew of Carl's job then. He remembered the odd hushed conversation between his Father and Carl. He had always assumed that they were talking business. Kaz had never thought about it before. His Mother was always away or on holiday with her friends during these conversations, and Kaz was normally shoved onto the computer or given some work to do.
The more he thought about it, the more suspicious it all sounded. The only word he remembered was 'T-virus'. Kaz fiddled around with that word in his head for a minute, before realizing it is probably the 'Tyrant' virus Chrysil mentioned before. Slowly, things began to make sense. His Mother was kept in the dark, and beleived, along with Kaz, that is was just an innocent business trip. But his Father may have had a plan. A plan that probably went wrong.
Carl was obviously a part of all this, if Kaz and Chrysil found him, then maybe, just maybe, they could find his Mother and Father and find out more. Kaz smiled, this was quite the scoop for Chrysil. He finished his roll as he continued sifting through memories. He now remembered the words 'Umbrella', 'T-virus' and 'Effects'. He could only assume that it had something to do with the zombies. Kaz actually felt somewhat scared, he could uncover something dangerous here, something best left covered up.
He snapped back to reality
"Did he know your parents? Meet them at all before they traveled here?..."
Kaz hushed his voice and leaned in close to Chrysil. "He and my Father had been talking about something for a while, some kind of T-virus. Something about its effects. My Mother was kept in the dark.... She probably knows nothing. It's Carl we should concentrate on, if we find him, you'll get your scoop." He grinned, amused that Chrysil was after scoops despite being stuck in the city. It made him think of Rick, Kaz briefly wondered if he was ok. He had no doubt already taken his pictures from above, but knowing Rick he would have landed to get some better pictures.
"Did he work for Umbrella?"
Again, in a hushed voice, Kaz spoke. "Definitely, they discussed things about Umbrella. The words I remember them using alot were T-virus, Umbrella and Effects. They were almost certainly discussing the virus that has caused all this. I really need to talk to this man, Carl. Chrysil, will you help me get to him, so you can get your scoop?" It was an honest request from Kaz. He could not do this alone.

Chrysil watched Kaz as he feverishly recalled memories of past, she was likely as on edge as he was on reaching that last little memory strand to tickle your brain and force everything through the conciousness window. A part of her wanted to scream out, 'C'mon! cough it up already!' but that would have been the last mistake she would make. Instead she remained patient, calm, collected, and most of all made sure she didn't turn red like a tomato.
Kaz finally got out the connection with Carl and his Father, the two were definitely involved business wise. Chrys thrusted her hand in the air, mentally of course, 'Score, score, score, score, score!' she repeated, which soon turned into several different itterations of 'scoop', but whatever floats her boat. She wrote it all down in her head, every last word; Chrys'd plan to tippy-tap it up on her notebook the next morning while it was still fresh in her mind, there was no time now.
"It's Carl we should concentrate on, if we find him, you'll get your scoop."
Chrys froze up, it was more of a cool freeze; majority of the time she didn't tell people that she was pulling up info for a story, mainly because they thought of that as rather selfish. The fact that Kaz seemed cool with it changed things though, "Well..." Chrys' throat was a little dry, taking another sip of water and clearing her throat, "Well, just so you know, I get a kick out of actually helping the person at the same time," it was like climbing a wall of fire, but she had to say something; she wasn't completely a machine, 'Am I? at least she didn't believe herself to be. There was a part of her had the general concern a person would towards others problems, and this was one of those situations with the added bonus of a scoop, 'Yah, that's it in a nutshell,'
"T-virus, Umbrella and Effects."
Chrysil's eyes beemed while she was gulping down water, holding back to make sure she didn't shoot if everywhere. This was where things got a little deep. Someone who was definitely involved with the Tyrant Virus, an employee at Umbrella... effects of what though? Either way it could lead to a lot of things, and conclude on a harsh note; Chrysil couldn't stop thinking of the possibilities though, 'What if this lead to the answer behind how the second outbreak occured?' far too many rushed thoughts for her to collect. Especially while fatigued.
There was nothing she could do about it now with the condition she was in, some sleep and then it'd be time to get to work, "That's a good start," Chrys said, keeping her demeanor calm and cool, as if she wasn't jumping through hoops about it, "It's a lead we can put to use effectively, but keep it to yourself for the moment. I think we'll touch on it with some of the newbies in the area," Chrysil whispered, "For now though, we need to conserve some strength. I'm gonna grab a couple'a hours sleep till sun comes up, then get to work. Tomorrow's gonna be a new day," and on the end of that chord, Chrys turned over and lay down on the bench. For most people, falling asleep like this wouldn't be easy, but Chrys had tought her body clock, plus had gotten used to falling asleep on hard wood most of the time.

Kaz cast his eyes over the other people in the room. None of them looked paticularly dangerous, but Kaz had a thing about being careful, so he stayed awake. He waited until Chrysil fell asleep, after which he took up a more comfortable sitting position. Partially to, of course, get more comfortable, but partially to help him think as he continued to search his thoughts for all mentions of Carl.
He recalled a few more details, minor things only. He would tell them all to Chrysil in the morning. There were a few times when he almost drifted off, but he was good at staying awake most of the time. He would be fine in the morning, resting was good enough for him. During his wait he also encountered someone who asked him something, which shocked Kaz awake as he had quite a booming voice, but the man just wanted to know where to get food. It was an uneventful night.

Morning, 04:50 Chrysil's eyes opened slowly as she looked up at the light blue sky that broke through the cracks in the tent roof, taking a guess at the time. She took a glance to her right, seeing Kaz was already awake or had stayed up all night, hopefully he couldn't get bogged down the following night. She sat up, seeing that the place was a little less full than the night before. A lot of the dwellers felt safer moving at night due to the whole theory of zombies being less adept in that environment; Chrys thought it was a load of bull, they didn't seem any smarter under the sun or the moon, vision was too impaired for serious nighttime travel anyway. The three people she'd spotted out were still there, although the RPD woman was fast asleep, the old guy looked like he was going to get frostbite; strangely enough the big raincoat guy was still on his notebook browsing whatever the hell he was doing. Chrys took a sip of the waterbottle from last night, still half full; had to remind herself to fill it up before she left. After about twenty minutes of waking up, finally feeling one hundred percent, Chrys turned to Kaz. "Okay. Well seeing as we're both awake now we might as well get started," she said, pausing for a moment while the RPD woman shuffled at the spot she was sleeping, but didn't wake up, "I'm gonna go and ask Mark whether or not he knows her..." Chrys pointed at the girl, "I don't think it'd be that great an idea to wake her up immediately. One guy who's got my interest is him over in the corner..." Chrys pointed at raincoat man, "Having that much of a connection outside stands out a bit, see if he knows anything or what he's doing in the least. Be descrete about it but don't be too vague, probably the first thing you should say is 'Umbrella' just to loosen him up. Don't be agressive when it comes to questions though,"She took one last look around herself before Chrysil stood up, hopping over her bench and moving back off towards the cafeteria. Mark was still there, but it apeared he'd be heading for the hay soon after serving up breakfast; Chrys decided they'd get takeaway after this little stint, "Hey Mark," she started in a fairly low tone. "Well well, early bird aren't you," Mark said smiling, "Back to get some for the road? I'm nearly finished here... you know your friend didn't catch forty winks of sleep last night? I can't go twenty four hours of being awake like that, probably fall asleep in a pot of noodles or something," he joked while wiping down the counter. "We'll grab something when we leave, which shouldn't be that much longer... Mark, I wanted to ask you," Chrys paused to lean in, which got Marks attention a lot more, "Who's that RPD woman over there? Do you know her at all? I know you were stationed here in Raccoon for some security work but I'm just hoping by chance you've seen her before,"Mark rubbed his chin, "Well sure, she's kind of a regular like you but doesn't come in quite as often; mainly comes in during the day and walks during the night so it's unusual for her to be in here like this. But she can't seem to leave Raccoon, always runs into problems in the outskirts which push her right back in; so she spent some time at checkpoints in Northern Raccoon helping out survivors. Now she just switches checkpoints here and there, for a different atmosphere I suppose," he went back to cleaning the bench top, "I was answered by her once when I phone in for back up a long time ago, she was the dispatcher for the RPD; that's about as much as I know. I do know that she's had a bit of a rought time though. Why do you ask?" he stood there looking at her. Chrys waved a slight hand, "No big dealy, just on a case is all and I feel she might be able to help me out. Thanks for the info Mark. I'll be back before we go," Chrys stepped over the line barrier and headed back into the resting locations, slowly moving over to the RPD woman, not without looking suspicious of course, she just didn't want to screw up was all.

Kaz nodded, hearing Chrysil's instructions. He turned to the big, raincoat man. Kaz slowly walked towards him. He took a seat near him, but not close enough to make it obvious he was investigating him. Kaz put on a brief smile for a second. He then spoke. The tone was hard to get right, he had to be loud and open enough for the man to assume he was saying it somewhat generally, but quiet enough so that not many other people heard. "Umbrella sure screwed things up around here..." Kaz leaned back, attempting to look more casual.
The man leaned towards Kaz, he had an awful stench around him, he had probably been through the sewers at some point. "Listen buddy, you probably shouldn't talk about Umbrella like that. Some folks don't want to talk about them." The man resumed searching through his digital notepad, eating some kind of mushy cereal at the same time.
But Kaz, in a way, challenged the man by leaning towards him, making sure the man knew he was talking about him. "You said, some folks? Some? So, can you tell me more....?" Kaz decided to go all the way with this set of questions. "I'm looking for someone. Carl Jake. Umbrella employee, and a Japanese man, by the name of Eisaku. It would really help me if you had any information on either of them." Kaz leaned even closer so he could take a quick look at the notepad. It was certainly about Umbrella, but quite what was still unknown to Kaz, he leaned back to his original position to avoid annoying the man, that was the last thing he wanted.
The man started to look a little angry, Kaz certainly did not have the offbeat charm of Chrysil, or the talking skills of some journalists. "Listen pal, I can't help you ok? I'm just... doing work... So leave me alone, ok?!" The man scooted further down the bench. He wasnt going to help Kaz willingly.
Kaz sighed, he had failed. But then, quite suddenly, he looked happy instead. That man had lots of info on Umbrella. He waited back at his and Chrysil's original position. Once she returned, he spoke quietly. "You should try that man. I think he could be swayed by a..... 'ladie's charm'," Kaz grinned.
