Kaz had returned to their bench, much sooner than Chrys would have expected. She walked over to him, about to ask whether he had any luck with rain coat man. She held her hands out and whispered, "Well?" annoyed that the one guy with a wire out of here had absolutely nothing for them, he was probably just playing coffeebreak.com games the entire night going for high scores, that kind of bullsh*t. Maybe they could at least use his notepad for some online searching.
"You should try that man. I think he could be swayed by a..... 'ladie's charm',"
Chrys didn't know whether to be ammused or annoyed by the comment; it meant that the guy definitely knew something, however the strategy to back it would be annoying. Chrys didn't usually enjoy using the female persuasion method, it just felt wrong in so many ways. She gritted her teeth and looked over to the rain coat man, "Okay, but could you try RPD girl over there?" she continued whispering, "Sympathy would be a good approach; but her being a part of the police force ties a lot into the city's system, she could know a fair bit of times past here and what's going on,"
One last glance over at the rain coat man, Chrysil held her breath at an idea that struck her. She dug into her backpack pulling out something no one else had seen, or would see if her plan went off a hitch. She walked across the main tent, it was pretty obvious that the man knew what Chrys was approaching him for; after realizing that Kaz blew it the first time. Chrys sat down next to the man, "Watcha lookin' at?" she started leaning over and pearing at the screen, holding her breath at the same time.
Delicious, delicious documents. There was barely anything there mildly related to entertainment, it all appeared as high profile material. One of the windows that were open was a instant messaging program with an Umbrella logo in the top left corner; raincoat mans title was, ironically, 'Raincoat', while the receiver was titled 'Harbinger123'. That was all Chrys caught before, "None of your business!" raincoat man barked back and turned the notebook away from her.
Chrysil gave him a dreamy stare, "Oh c'mon," she half murmured while sliding closer and pushing against him, he shrugged her off. Stubborn, but dumb. Chrys turned her back to him, "Fine, I guess if no one can answer those questions my friend asked before... I can't help them out in return," the appeal of a sexy was so f**king hard to pull off, a piece of Chrys' dignity broke away from her as she regretted the whole scenario.
She took one step, "Wait!" not quite as stubborn to break through as Chrysil thought he was. She turned around to him and raised her eye brows as if to ask, 'Yes?' he looked at her timidly, "Help... in what way?" Chrys smiled, taking the opening as an opportunity to continue. She walked around the bench he was at and sat down opposite the rain coat man, still with a smile strapped to her face.
The eye effect applied around this stage, not the bashing of the eye lids kind, but the type that would otherwise send a guy into content mode. Chrys started toying around with one of the ethernet cables that was poking out of the back of the notebook, "Well... any kind. All. Sorts. Of. Kind," dignity continued to slip off her back while she marked this as the most unglorified day of her life, "And totally up to you," Chrys decided not to take it any further; of course, he could have been so dumb as to float on anything she blurted out at this point, but for her own sake.
A genuine amount of eagerness seemed to fill rain coat man as he sat up a little, looking over his notepad screen, "R-really? Well..." the excitement factor was rising as well, 'Am I really that good?' Chrysil asked herself, "Your friend, he isn't going to find what he's looking for here," rain coat man gambled, Chrysil sighed. He would just stall and lie for the rest of the day, she was wasting her time, "So... how about we head into one of the dorms here, and... y'know..." he raised his eye brows several times to conclude the message, but Chrysil knew what he was on about well before he started.
That was where phase two kicked in, she stood up and put on the harshest face imaginable, "What on earth made you think that I was implying at all towards that!" she started, pushing papers off of his desk awkwardly, "You have a sick mind you ungrateful bastard!" she finished and hoofed off, leaving him there to swell in his own pathetic words; but although Chrys had a mean look on her face, she was cracking up on the inside. She saw Mark looking at her with a unimpressed look on her face before going back to cleaning the kitchen area.
Getting information out of him though, wasn't Chrysil's plan. What he hadn't noticed was the moletronic chipset she'd planted on the back of his notebook while Chrys put her acting on, the machines would sink inside and the casing which held them would deteriorate at a catalyst and drop off in crumbles before he ever noticed.
Chrys sat back down at the spot she and Kaz had taken, looking back over at rain coat man with a very angry demeanor. After good two minutes of staring he upped and left as she had assumed he would; A smile finally broke across her face as she glanced over to Kaz after the man had left the checkpoint completely.
All that was left now was the aging guy, but with half their luck he'd point them in the general direction of a convenience store that used to sell Aqua Cure way back before the outbreak. Regardless, Chrysil had one hell of a link now; but there was no such thing as too much information, it could wait until the two of them were done investigating the last two individuals in the checkpoint.

Kaz wasnt very good at getting information out of people, as he had showed before, but he figured he could handle the RPD woman. He casually strolled over to her, before taking a seat next to her. "So... Stuck here in Raccoon City?" He put a hand on her shoulder, trying to be reassuring. He put on his most pitying smile. Before she noticed him he moved his gun from it's holster and instead put it in his jean's back pocket, to look like less of a threat to her.
She looked up at him briefly. "No.... I choose to be here." She flipped out a notebook and started writing something down. "If you want something, just ask. I can't promise that I'll help you." She seemed to have seen through his attempt at pity, but Kaz didn't give up. He tried a new tactic.
He spoke again, this time making his voice sound much more upset, as if he was about to cry. "I-I just have to fimd my Mother.." He figured mentioning just his Mother sounded sadder. "She is ill..... Unable to help herself much at the moment. I have to find her." He let a single tear drop down his face, he had always been able to cry at will.
The woman's expression softened. "Well.... Maybe.... Is there anyone in the town you know who could help you?" She was genuinely trying to help him now. Kaz's tactic of making her pity him instead worked perfectly. He held back a smile, this was his chance. It was even harder to keep this ruse up as he noticed Chrysil 'charming' the raincoat man. He felt like laughing.
Managing to maintain his ruse, he spoke again. "Well..... Her best friend, my friend, Carl..... Carl Jake. He was really nice to my Mother and I think he would stay with her, do you know where he is?" He looked into the officer's eyes, making himself look as desperate as possible, his eyes glazed with tears.
She spoke once again. "Carl... Carl.... Carl....." She froze. "I don't know what game he is playing with your family, but I would get away as quickly as possible. I... don't want to have to say this, but leave your Mother, she is probably dead." Kaz's expression turned to one of genuine fear. The woman spoke again. "He has done some terrible things and.... I can't say any more. Just leave."
Kaz moved away from the woman the instant she said leave. He went back to Chrys, who had finished with the raincoat man. "We have to find Carl, soon. He's bad news, done some terrible things." He pretty much repeated the woman's words. "She says my Mother is probably dead...."

"That's it?" Chrysil exclaimed, "For gods sake, people always tell you to run," she scrunched up the cushioning from the bench in her hands as tight as possible, letting go once she'd vented enough. The RPD woman knew something too, but just like raincoat man, didn't want to reveal a thing. Chrys rubbed her hands over her face, a little annoyed, "Whatever," she said, the central reply to Kaz's information, "One last person I want to question, then we can get outta dodge," she explained before standing up.
Chrysil walked over to the aging man, he looked a lot more old close up than from where she had been the night before; his face definitely defined him as an old timer. She crouched down, he looked at her in an oblivious fashion; Chrys wasn't worried about being undevious about things and got straight to the point, "Hey," she started, clicking her fingers in front of him; an amount of attention seemed to fill his pupils as he focused on her a little more, "Carl, Eisaku, Kayami. Any of these names ring a bell?" she asked.
The man simply made a pitched, open mouth groan. One of the names had taken his fancy. Chrys went through each of the names again to see which he'd opted for, the guy had obviously lost his ticker a long time ago, "Eisaku..." Chrysil finished, and the man made his groan again. He reached into a small knapsack and with his withered and shaky hand gave Chrysil a card. It was all a jet black with three purple, green, and blue strips across it, the Tricell logo sat on the bottom. Chrysil looked up at the old man, it looked like he knew why she was here almost; he winced as pain surged up his left arm, his right grabbing. Chrys frowned, it appeared he was on the verge of a heart attack. She gave him her water bottle, the man nodden in return. She stood up, moving to grab her things from the bench and motioning Kaz to follow her out of the checkpoint.
Chrys gave Mark one last salute as she left, he waved back just before she disappeared. The guard from last night was outside now keeping any eye out for anything that might move in the checkpoints general direction. The road ahead of them was clear, she slowed down a little to let Kaz catch up before returning to her original pace.
The card was tossed in Kaz's direction, "Your parents weren't involved with Umbrella," Chrys began explaining, squinting a little at the sun which had started to climb the blue sky, "I figured this might be the case, their deal was with Tricell but Umbrella became involved. That's where things would have gotten a little sour," She sniffed, the cold of the morning had gotten to her, "This is speculation, but that card is proving a point; however it doesn't exactly pin down anything for us... still need time to thing," Chrys had trailed off at the end of her sentence.
She kicked a rock, finally slowing down from her burst of energy, "I have a feeling we'll see that RPD girl again..." a random comment running on theory, "And we'll definitely be seeing rain coat man again," the same rock was kicked a second time, "Got nothin' to follow for the time being though, I think I might know someone who can help us out on this debacle though. If that card helps you in the recalling process then don't falter in letting me know,"

Kaz thought for a moment before speaking. "Sorry, Tricell means nothing to me... I've told you everything I can remember. I guess I will have to find new information, rather than remember it." Kaz felt nervous suddenly, they were back in the danger zone. He grabbed his gun and checked it was loaded before putting it back in its holster.
Kaz went ahead to check a corner and spotted two lone zombies. Kaz smiled briefly, he needed to stretch out. "Back in a second." He paced towards the zombies, confident that he could beat them. He got fairly close to the nearest one before waiting for it to lunge. When it lunged, Kaz sidestepped easily before letting in a kick to the stomach. He realized what he was doing was a little wrong, but the zombies might follow them, and if he ended up doing more free-running today, he definitely needed a warm up. He lashed out several times at the zombie, body blows, he knew it would not affect the creature. It lunged again, this time he sidestepped and immediately countered with an inverted roundhouse kick, knocking the zombie to the floor. He felt rather guilty for this, so he finished the job, pistol wipping both zombies with his Taurus, killing them.
He walked back to Chrys, she would not have seen as it had been around a corner. Once he reached her, he flashed her a smile and spoke. "Oh, and great work on the charm earlier, very nice." He laughed, the first time for a while.

Chrysil put a hand through her hair, "Y'know, that rock that you've been living under the past seven years must have been sound proof to boot," she exaggerated, "Alright, well in that case--" Chrys was hushed as Kaz disappeared round a corner, finding the act slightly uncanny she started approaching the corner slowly prepared to look around. Chrys heard multiple impacts, a massive wave of concern enveloping her as she was about to bolt in and help; before Chrys could gather any form of run though Kaz reappeared, smiling. "Oh, and great work on the charm earlier, very nice."Chrys looked at Kaz, feeling stupid for some reason, "Yeah, uh... whatever, was a walk in the park," she continued walking, not bothering to investigate what on earth was going on behind the wall; she was confident whatever it was would just anger her a little more, "Anyway, we'll need to find a friend of mine. He has a setup on the road to the Arklay Mountains down South, he'll be able to tell us the origins of the card. We should be able to make it there well before night fall, if you've got any cash on you we'll probably be able to pick up wheels when we get there as well,"She looked up at the barely born sun, Chrys felt big things were going to occur in the following weeks, she'd uncover information people could only dream of getting their hands on. All she needed was patience, 'Yeah... patience,' that made her smile, 'Whatever happens, happens,')(Chrysil is now at the Road to Arklay Mountains, Outskirts.)(

"Oh God... More of them..." Risa gasped. Zombies were shambling toward the car. "Don't worry, I'll get us out of here." Rusty assured her. Thump! Rusty hit a zombie, sending it into the air. "Score: 1 to Daddy, zip to the zombies!" J exclaimed with excitement and fright. Rusty chuckled.
More zombies reached for the flesh as Rusty sped toward a construction site. "Doesn't look too safe..." Risa suggested. "Perhaps there's a weapon there, such as a nail gun or something. My ammo won't last us forever."Rusty told her. J petted Barky affectionately. Rusty stopped by the gate separating the site from the street. "Stay safe." Rusty ordered. Zombies were all around the construction site. Rusty noticed a supply shed, and sped toward it, throwing open the door, frantically searching for anything of use. "Aha!" He shouted when he saw a nail gun. A zombie made it to the small shed and reached for Rusty. He spun around and pulled the trigger, launching a nail into the zombie's skull. It fell dead as Rusty ran to look for more supplies.
Zombies were heading toward the car. "Not on my watch!" Rusty yelled as he ran to the car and started launching nails. He couldn't miss, because he had only 5 nails, and there was six zombies. First nail got a zombie in the head. Second shot, a miss. Oh man! No more misses! Third shot, got one. Fourth, Rusty grazed a zombie's head, and the nail lodged intself into another's skull. Two-fer! He hought to himself. One zombie, one nail. He shot and... Missed! It started toward the back door. Risa had a gun and fired out a window she'd just opened. Marring a gun salesman had it's perks, for she wouldn't let Rusty be the only one who could use a gun. Rusty smiled and knew that Risa could protect them for a few more minutes. She rolled up the window. She looked up at Rusty and gaped and made frantic gestures. Rusty wasn't sure of what she was trying to say, but he jumped to the side and rolled into some scrap metal by mistake. A 'Tongue' was just about to pounce him. The added noise made it grow wary of Rusty's presence. It didn't move toward Risa, when it was looking straight at her. It went toward noise. Rusty just realized that the 'Tongues' were blind! He knew what he had to do.

)(Alex has entered from St. Sebastian's Church.)(
A hell of a lot of commotion was coming from the next block over; Alex heard a vehicle, probably just some car, a couple more gunshots and voices followed by what Alex thought sounded like B.O.W behavioral sounds. She picked up her speed, moving into a jog now, and controlling her breathing for whatever could be waiting for them at the next intersection. A large construction area loomed in site, some building that had only been half finished; looked like someone had spent some time there too with all sorts of burnt out rubble along the top and graffiti all over the sides. It was when its entrance came into view and the survivors were visible. A female in the car fired a shotgun taking down a zombie, Alex noticed a Licker approaching the man outside of the vehicle.
She acted, bringing her 417 ironsites into view and fired upon the monster, "Watch yerself," she called to the man who was in close proximity of the B.O.W.

)(Algonquin Motowa has entered form St. Sebastian's Church)(
Al walked along, following the sound of commotion. Gunfire, cars, and that horrid sounds the BOW was making. The first thing that went through his head was get moving, and he took off at a jog, drawing his double barreled shotgun while moving. The amount of gunfire made it seem less than significant, but it didn't stop him. He caught up with Alex, firing off both barrels after aiming, blowing down two zombies. He reloaded, and saw the long tounged thing, the Licker, but didn't have time to react to it. More zombies were coming, and he moved to relieve the female at the car. He fired two more blasts off, killing the closest zombies to the car, and reloaded and repeated. He grabbed his monkey wrench, as a zombie came towards his side, and swung with his considerable might. Its head collapsed, weakened by rot and destroyed completely by the solid blow. He swung again, dropping another zombie, and backed up a bit, reloading his shotgun and resumed firing off shells at zombies, letting Alex concentrate on the licker.

Someone yelled," Watch yerself!" as Rusty got up as quickly as possible. The stranger was firing at the 'Tongue'. He used the distraction as an advantage and sneaked to the car, asking Risa for a shotgun. He went around the front of the car and swung the shotgun at the 'Tongue'. He fired off three rounds, each penetrating the monster. Under fire from two sides, the 'Tongue' grew confused and turned around, trying to kil one more time before dying. A final blow, Rusty wasn't sure if it was his shot or the stranger's, pierced the brain and it fell dead. Risa got out of the car and hugged Rusty, crying in relief.
J was staring at the commotion, Barky starting to bark in excitement. Rusty started toward the strangers who graciously helped him survive the encounter. A few zombies were scattered here and there, he fired at them with his shotgun as he walked. Risa went to see if J was ok, keeping an eye out for zombies. When she found him to be only a little shaken, he tried to be brave and said, " Daddy: a lot, Zombies and 'Tongues': zero!!!"

"Copy that," Alex replied heartily to the kid who called out, "With a lot dead there's a whole lote more coming though," she commented this time looking at the man approaching her and Al, "Glad we could get here in time. My name's Alex Dougherty, that's Al over there..." she pointed to Algonquin, "I've taken aboard the task to help survivors reach the outer limits of the city, where it's safer. Currently the military have a burn operation going on here closer to the City Center and they don't want any survivors being caught in the cross fire," Alex explained, then pointed in a specific direction, "'Bout a key in that direction is the nearest checkpoint which're taking in survivors who plan on huffing it outside of the city. I'm hoping you'll be able to comply, for the sake of your family's safety," Alex asked, checking out the other companions of the man in the car before scanning the general area around them to make sure no more Lickers had an assault planned.

Al nodded to the husband and wife, leaning against the car and sweeping the area. He heard the kids comment, and chuckled, turning to look at the kid.
"Hey, bet your real proud of your dad, especially if he drug his whole family this far through the zombies, huh?"
He straightened up, and called over to Alex, having heard the bit about their family.
"Dont scare the folks, I suspect they have a good reason for trying to drive through a warzone like this. Despite the fact that so many people seem to not have a reason."
It was an indirect stab at his own situation, but Al hadn't come out and said anything beyond that, just watching for more dead to enter range, or those tounged creatures. The one he saw was unpleasant, he didn't want to encounter any more, that much was certain.

J heard the guy's remark and also liked what the girl, Alex, said. J nodded at them before he turned and petted Barky.Alex was explaining about why they were there, and Rusty listened intently, nodding with understanding and agreement. Rusty didn't know his way around the city, so he had no idea that there was a construction site.
He decided to introduce himself as well."Hi, I'm Rusty Gradyshaw. This is my wife, Risa, and my son, J. His dog there is named Barky." Barky yipped excitedly at the sound of his name. The yips were muffled, however, because he was still inside the car with J. "I came here to find shelter and supplies to help keep me and my family alive. I vaguely remember this place. My dad once told me that he was going to do research in a lab here. I was young, and he never came back. I was living in a small town not too far away. I graduated from college with a degree in medicine and diagnosis, as well as a degree in psychology. I can only hope my dad might be alive, although I doubt it. I really appreciate the help. Those 'Tongues' are deadly... their tongues are a little sharp, enough to impale someone I think. I also found out that they're blind. But, enough about me, I'll take your offer on helping keep my family safe. I'll help if someone gets hurt, I have a first aid kit in the back that I can bring along."
"Thank you for rescuing my husband. You have my eternal gratitude." Risa told this to both strangers, but then she whispered to Alex, "I'll help as much as possible, but I know Rusty won't like me to."

"Gratitude for a half second is plenty," Alex replied to Risa, "I'd feel better once you're all safe though..." she turned and looked down the road ahead of them, shading the sun away from her eyes and ascertaining a path. Alex breathed, "Okay. Al and I will escort your vehicle, just keep it rolling for the time being. Don't give it too many revs, it's better to keep attention off us. Usually the MP's at each checkpoint don't like a wave of zombies flooding in after each entry," she explained while taking place at the front-left handside of the car.
Alex reloaded her 417; pulling the used mag out, replacing it with a fresh one. She snapped the charging handle back and released it pushing the first cartridge into the upper receiver's chamber. Once everybody was ready to roll Alex started jogging ahead, pushing hair covering the left side of her face behind her ear and keeping an eye on their left side and flank. She mulled over Rusty's introduction, primarily his father, and slowed down to be in time with the drivers seat window.
"Hey, Rusty," she said, keeping formal, "You mentioned how your dad was working on research before..." Alex paused while watching a side street and continued once they'd passed the intersection, "I know you were young at the time n'all, but would the name A-2501 ring any bells?" she asked, fairly blunt, there wasn't much difference in the question compared to asking Al; she didn't expect the answer to be any more elaborate either.

" A-2051...? Umm... No, not really. He just mentioned research... Uhh... Let's see... No, I'm sorry. If something comes to me I'll blurt it out, but not at the moment no." Rusty thought about it for a few minutes. He just couldn't remember anything about his dad's research... Yet, something was prying at him, like he felt he should know... Then he asked as politely as possible, "May I ask why? I mean... If you don't wanna talk about it that's OK, but maybe it'd help. I feel like I should know something about his research."
While he waited for a reply, Rusty looked inside the back seat of the car and saw Barky and J sleeping soundly. He realized how much the two had gone through, and suddenly felt a pang of guilt, even though there was nothing he could do about the outbreak. He looked at Risa and felt the same thing... He wanted to make sure that his family could live their lives to the fullest... He looked toward Alex and waited for her reply.

Alex shook her head and gestured a mutual feel of ignorance, "I can't guarantee it has anything to do with your dads work, man," she decided to clarify that to save any potential confusion, "2501 is just a name, its physical form is a file which I keep losing leads on. What's in it is far beyond my imagination but I know it's sought after by many people of several organizations. I have a feeling it predates the first outbreak though, meaning it's Umbrella material. Originally I was given the job to find it and pull it in, but with how far under I am it looks as if there's more to the big picture... that many people want it, I don't think I want them to have it," Alex sighed.
Objects in the street were becoming few now, Alex paused the conversation to place her attention on the bracing of action incase something stumbled or jumped out from behind a burnt out car or demolished wall. There was plenty of room for the stationwagon to manouver though. Alex counted how many times she noticed movement in the corner of her eye, a hole had been made in one building and a cool breeze running through the area was scattering paper about in the air above them. She caught one of the pamphlets that floated down, reading the front of it.
Aqua Cure+ 'Healing the body, mind, and soul' Tricell©
Alex quickly glanced the back of the pamphlet, seeing the official Tricell logo. It was product dropped by Umbrella after their decline which Tricell had picked up, 'Thinking about it, Raccoon City was the central hub of Umbrella. With the Corporations collapse there would have been a financial crisis in this town, Tricell must have pushed in quick to take a seat here and produce job opportunities for citizens,' Alex hummed while she thought, 'No company would react that quickly. It's almost like Tricell was ready for Umbrella to wither and die,' she pushed the thoughts out of her head as they cleared the obstacles and she kept in time with Rusty again.
"Anyways. I just thought I'd put a line into the fact your dad had hightailed it to Raccoon, and that he was committing research of some kind. Honestly, this place was a pharmacuetical haven way back when, there weren't a hell of a lot of professions running about the place that would require an ounce of thought into research assides from actual health and medicine based products," Alex heard some static run over her bluetooth, she raised a casual eyebrow while looking up at the sky to see a chopper unit fly way above overhead; it was far too high to hear, "That looks like the dummy run. Looks like they're ahead of schedual for evacing survivors from the city," she said. The chopper would remain in view for quite some time, so Alex tasked herself to not be bothered by it, "So ya. Anything you can recall, even something small and subliminal would help," she made a slight bow to Rusty while returning to her spot ahead of the stationwagon, picking up the pace.
