During the opening hours of the outbreak, this news station was overwhelmed with calls of malice and danger- so many people were reporting lost children who needed to be publicized, deaths occuring, random shootings, maulings, riots.. This station did not have the means to actually answer each one of those calls and soon deactivated their tower and communication services due to the overload of information coming in but none going out. The power supply to this station as been completely shut down, meaning no lights as well as no type of electrical equipment. As a result of the outage, several people died during an elevator plunging to the earth only to rise again and flood the basement area. Four stories of pitch black darkness as well as twenty or so different rooms to explore. If there was some way to get the electricity back on, there might be a way to contact help; no matter how useless that may be.

Twilight had fallen in uptown Racoon City as Leah Dawson emerged from behind an alleyway cautiously. As far as she could tell, there were only a few undead stumbling around the street leading towards the Racoon City Times. Despite having encountered more undead than she would prefer, Leah still found herself shuddering whenever a zombie would let out an almost primitive moan.
Letting out a shaky breath, Leah heistated for a moment in the shadows as she jammed another magazine into the clip of her handgun.
Aim for the head, Leah...and for god's sake don't let your guard down!
Stepping out from the shadows, Leah dodged between cars and delievery trucks left abandoned in the street. Raising her handgun, Leah stopped for a moment, took aim and fired at an undead stumbling towards her.
The moment the bullet pierced through its forehead, the zombie let out a final groan before collasping to the ground. Hurrying past the corpse, Leah focused on the Raccoon City Times building that was closer than before.
More than likely the entrance would be locked from the inside...that is if there were any surivors which Leah doubted in the back of her mind. Reguardless, it would draw less attention if she tried to go through the back door. Reaching the entrance, Leah headed towards the employee parking which led to the other side of the building.
It was situations like these that Leah was greatful that being an intern for the newspaper. Taking out her employee card, Leah turned the corner and walked over to the back door. Sliding her card through the small machine set up on the door, Leah frowned when she realized that the power was out.
So much for that idea.
Feeling a bit frustrated, Leah considered tossing her card aside but in the end she placed it back inside her pocket.
This was going to be more difficult than she thought.

Zuroku stare down at his gut, seeing that the blood had finally stopped. He reached down to his holster, casting the bloody rag to the side. He pulled out his pistol holding it against his face, trying top use the muzzle of the gun to cool his sweaty face. Suddenly several shots rang out from the opposite side of the parking lot, the news building blocking his view on the source.
"Survivors..."
Zuroku pulled his balaclava over his face, and repositioned his goggles to sit at his forehead level. Slapping a fresh clip in, he slowly got out of the car, aware of the undead to his immediate right. Zuroku ducked be hind the car door as he screwed the silencer on to his pistol. Zuroku peaked from behind the back of the car... nothing.
"S***, where are you..."
Zuroku noticed the deads moans getting closer, he stood up backing away from the dead slowly. Once the morsel was confirmed the group charged, screeching and stumbling towards Zuroku. Zuroku fired four shots, first one whizzed past the most forward zombies face, and sliced the one behinds hims ear clean off. The second hit the neck, spewing blood from the hole, and the third smack dead in the forehead, sending it to the ground like a rock. The forth ended up in the adjacent ones chest. Zuroku turned to meet an even dangerous opponent. The low growl of two fleshless doberman pinchers sent chills down Zurokus spine.
"Sit!"
The dogs howled and charged Zuroku. Zuroku fired 3 shots, but they were fast, all three missed ricocheting in to a car window. Zuroku drew his knife into his left hand, and sent two more rounds down towards the dogs, each bullet nailed a target, neither having any effect. The dogs were now closing in on him. Zuroku dove behind a car, as he did so one of the hounds leaped over him, clumsily falling onto his side, zuroku fired 5 quick shots, all over its abdomen. The dog flopped around speratically. Taking good aim, he put one right through its skull. Zuroku turned to his left but wasn't fast enough, the second hound knocked him to the floor, teeth inches from zurokus face. Zuroku dropped his gun, and held the dogs head up by its neck. He proceeded to stab it several times, between 15-20 before the body went limp. Zuroku reached for his pistol and from a crawl managed to get to his feet limping at dangerously low speed.
"Heeeell" *couching* "Heellp... Help!"
He yelled gasping to regain his breath. He was now close to the other side waving his gun in the air, clenching his side.
"I'm not infected!"
He waved his gun back in forth, as he struggled to stay on his feet. The horde closing in.

Yuuka honestly had no idea what to do. After parking the convertible, and motioning for the both of them to go inside, she saw Edward talking to some girl, she had no choice but to keep quiet for awhile. Watching what would happen. It all happened so fast. Suddenly a person was getting surrounded by zombies and then he was back inside, being treated.
Yuuka gritted her teeth, a bit envious that she didn't get to do anything. Moving towards them, she knelt down, introducing herself.
"Hey I'm Yuuka. If you need a first aid kit, I'm here to lend a hand." She said, a small smile on her face.

Lina walked behind Yuu, wtaching the unapparent scene unfold. Lina didn't say anything and was rather confused of what was going on. " Who is that girl with Edward ?" Lina muttered. By the look on Yuuka's face she could tell I was a little jelous, Hmph Lina thought. " Hey Yuu I think we should follow, but slowly " Lina and Yuuka ( OOC: If thats okay ) walk slowly into the building. Infront of them was an elevator going up and a flight of stairs. " Yuu lets walk up, that should take a while .. " They walked up the ongoing flight of stairs in silence and stopped, the lights started to flicker on and off. Lina grasped Yuu's hand. Lina felt un easy as she didn't like the sight of flickering lights. Lina heard a slight moaning noise and turned to Yuuka. They stopped. Lina grasped her gun tightly and spun round. It wasn't what she thought. It was a audio recorder... Lina opened it and inside was a casset labled Audio tape 1. " Lets listen .. " Lina said to Yuu. Yuu nodded and Lina put the audio tape into the player. -Sound starts- Hello. My name is May. Maybe someone will find this recording one day.. ITs January the twenty second and the first outbreak started ten days ago. I've managed to escape into a building. If I survive long enough I will record three other tapes.. If they are not with the recorder the please find them.. IT might help you. It's morning now and the building seems to be secure still. No sign of life yet but i'm waiting. Nothing has happened today I found a key to a " security office" I wonder where it is.." Good Night . Uuhfound office opened it. Found dog. Bit me. I bit it. Good food night yum. Hello. Skin itchy. face coming off. Someone came into room. They ugly. I ate.- Sound stops- " I guess they didn't make it " Yuu nodded. Lina and Yuu started to walk up the stairs again.

<ooc:: ^_- time for my debut once again onto this site, mind if I join a tad for this epic story of a mercenary who is totally out of whack with everything around him...^_- or is he>
Tilting his head back, the ever so aromatic scent of decay wafting through the air...it was kinda of a pukish smell but really in time you eventually get used to it, Of course I bloody shouldn't have to deal with this...not even in the job description..., spitting the last mental words out, Marc once more leaned forward, the small wall bordering the roof he was currently sitting upon beside the Raccoon City Time Building sheltering him from sight of the flesh eaters. Perhaps, I should rather say the living challenged..., cracking a smile as he reached down to pick up a pebble, rolling the stone between his thumb and forefinger as he thought of what happened the last few months...or was it years, since he took up on this assignment.
First it was the brief run through Madrid, Spain..and then the oh so delightful romp through the jungles of Chile...really, and now I have ended up to where it all started...pretty damn, freaking ironic..., sliding his body forward from the wall, his free hand sliding to the holster, where nestled his defender. The tips of his fingers carressing the cool metal of the gun. Nothing about dealing with some many delightful and engaging survivors..., sometimes he far preferred the zombies to other people, at least they were a tad more easier to deal with.
Snapping his head to look over the side of the roof, towards the Times building, the quick succession of gunshots loud in the still air, for a moment grimancing before shaking his head, for the moment he would hang back for a few and see if his target would make an appearance...and if not no harm no foul.

Elijha Wolfe made her way down the street her mind on other things, like finding food for instance. She didn't care to much about the walkers that roamed the streets, they were nothing to her - well they were easily avoided if one knew what they were doing. She worked better in the dark for the fact that she had lived almost all of her life in the darkness. Elijha was only five when the sun last touched her skin, and there had been many times she had yearned for the touch once more. Yet like those mythical creatures that roam the night in many of her books she was doomed to walk the streets in darkness.
She had lost so much due to her family and their past - that even still eluded her. She never tried to much to dwell on things that couldn't be solved. Her parents and her keepers were dead, had long been dead, and she left to this harsh world to fend for her self. Doomed to an existence where the sun was like acid to her skin, and even a minor wound could threaten to take her life. For a long time after Raccoon went under she feared to come out of her home, but after the hunger got the most of her she learned to venter out. Further and further each time until she was roaming the entire city.
It was becoming easer with each trip, one more thing gotten and one more day to survive. Yet with fewer people coming into Raccoon, and the passing time food was getting harder to come by. She knew that it would soon come time for her to venture out even further, and take the threat of facing the real world on her own. She was scared to mostly for the fact that she didn't know if they would think of her as a monster or a simple young woman with a rare skin disorder that has lived in the dark for ages.
She sighed flipping her hair from her face, and looking up at the half covered moon. Her gray eyes shimmering in the light before disappearing to look straight ahead of her. The roads were clear tonight which was a good thing, it always made the job easer. Maybe something from the vendors, a drink or two, camp out for the day and head home tonight. It would be simple as always, and within 24 hours she would be home again to that empty house.

The soft curving of his lips was the only sign of the delight he felt in seeing the woman walking up the street, though it was dark the light shed by the moon was enough to give him at least a faintly positive match of the woman whose picture he studied in preparation for his job. Of course...it wouldn't do if she didn't at least have it on her, definitely a nice quick resolution after all this rather bothersome, menial task of running around...if the pay wasn't so good I would have shoved that enveloped..., the thought left hanging as he ducked back down behind the overhang of the roof. Disappointed in how long he kept his head up, She would have saw me if I kept my head up for much longer...of course.., his smile returning to his lips as he reached up to readjust his sunglasses, a lot of people asked why he wore them not knowing they were merely tinted, ...she might be some fun as well which might make up for the tedium of this job at least.
Leaning his head back against the cold, gritty feel of the small wall surrounding the length of the roof, the pebble he picked up earlier still held between his thumb and forefinger as he once more went over what he read back in that cafe about the job, A rare skin condition...an illness related to the uv rays found in sunlight..., as he mused over what he read as important, his mind focusing on the smooth contours of the pebble between his fingers as he wondered how best to approach the woman, the silent tread of her foot steps on the ground audible in the silent night...made more so from the moments of gun fire of before. Not much to go on for personality...her only real contacts was her parents and so forth..., musing to himself as he thought out different scenarios, disregarding one for the moment before looking at it and again before dropping each scenario, I won't be able to ask out right or even...subtle hints of the target without causing her to be wary...also appearing before her wouldn't work...
Letting the pebble drop, the sound of the stone hitting the stone loud in the silent night as he thought of a few more scenarios, I also have no prior approval to be in this zone from any authorities...and I can't really be another survivor seeing as the danger level of this zone isn't as high as it use to be..., for a moment he started sucking on his teeth as he thought, The really sticky part is trying to give a good enough reason of me being here...and honestly one of the foremost reasons for a person to be here is because they are either hiding something, themselves or something less savory..., twisting around a bit to lift his head up over the edge to peer at the moving woman, playing out each scenario that he could think of, Perhaps and wait and see scenario...and react to how it plays outs..., it wasn't the most ideal scenario, it still held a high level of mistrust but it was the best one available, he couldn't really walk to her, especially since if he read her bio well enough she avoided contact with a lot of people, and those she did have it was sparingly at best.
A wait and see approach..., frowning as he waited sitting back and waiting in an already tedious job.

The tape recording made Yuuka feel terrible. The person on this recording must've died already or something. While they're here slaying zombies for fun, the person must've felt like hell. She kicked the feeling aside, and decided to make this optimistic. They'd carry on the person's wants or whatever. Yuuka sighed. Stupid zombies. They were ruining people's lives. But then again, it has turned out as a sport for some.
They carried on up the stairs.

Lina flinched as there was another creaking noise, this place was full off them. Noises. Sounds that made Lina feel uneasy. " Hey.. Yuu.. C-Can we go..." Lina felt like she was going to be sick, there was a strong smell of rotting flesh in the air and the suspence was killing Lina. Lina looked up from the groud and saw a room titles " SECURITY OFFICE " . Lina and Yuu both looked at each other they both new this is where may changed. " On the count of three " Lina wispered. " One.. Two.. Three! " Lina and Yuu swiftly open the door and a waft of raw meat came out.

Elijha flinched slightly as she heard the sound of a rock hitting the ground. She stopped in her stride as she looked around. Her eyes looking for things that didn't belong, but everything belonged in this city of the damned where the dead walked. Strangely enough so did she. She sighed a bit when she was satisfied that nothing was out there, or at least in the general site of her own eyes. She gave up long ago searching under every nook and cranny for something that could hurt her. It took to long to get what she was after and then get home. She stretched her arms as she looked at the small general store that was across from the news building.
A short trip inside to grab a few things, and then she could be on her way. She pushed open the doors and stepped into the musty smelling building. The shelves were nearly empty now after so long, and a lot of it had been because of her. She moved along the counter picking up a couple of bags, and then made her way out into the store. Dust covered the shelves rats scattered along the floor. Some of the boxes had been eaten threw others had turned to maggots. She nearly got sick as she opened them, letting them drop to the floor as she moved on. This was probably her last trip to this place, and she would have to move on to something more. Hopefully she would be able to find better things later on, but for now she had to stick with the canned food.
Once she was satisfied, and she had gathered everything she could she made her way out of the store. Her eyes scanning the street. She held the bags securely as she started to make her way down the street. There was screeching like she hadn't heard before - but yet she had heard it before. It had been quite some time that cars ran the streets of Raccoon City. Over half the city streets were impassable by vehicle. She turned around searching for this vehicles, in a way of her own wanting to be amazed at what type of vehicle would make it this far.
The black hummer swerved around the corner. She hadn't seen one like it, and guessed that it was a newer model. It sort of depressed her that she was out of time being here, but when she thought about it again it was for the best. Though this hummer moved strangely as it approached, faster than most vehicles that use to travel these streets. Elijha took several steps back as the hummer swerved to a stop in front of her. The doors swung open as several armed men stepped out of the vehicle wearing some form of military set up, a patch on their left arms were unrecognizable as for being anything belonging to the US or any other military formation.
Elijha stumbled backward in fear . . . she wanted to run, but as she turned one of the men grabbed her arm and pulled her toward him. He wrapped his overly large arms around her body causing her to drop her bags. She screamed out and tried thrashing about in his arms until another one struck her in the stomach with the butt of his rifle. She cried out and coughed as the man let her drop to the ground. She hit her knees clutching her stomach as she continued to cry.
The man who seemed to be the one in charge who also held the tripple bars on his shirt knelt down. He gripped the back of her hair and jerked her head back. "I'm going to ask this as nicely as I can, but then it's going to get a bit harder if you don't answer me. Understand?" Elijha nodded slightly as she felt the tears swelling in her eyes. "Good. Now what I'm about to ask you is simple. You have something . . . or know where I can find this specific item. It's a key, and it's very important."
"I- I have several keys . . ." she cried.
"Not the key I need. It's a special key that leads to a special place. Like a lab . . . a lab that your parents had worked in for most of their lives. Where is that key"
"I don't know . . . I don't know what key your talking about."
The man jerked her to her feet by her hair causing her to cry out. "No bull s***ting me. We have detailed information telling us that they gave you the key to the lab."
"I don't know what key!" she cried.
Another man hit her again in the stomach doubling her over, as a third man struck her against the side of the head. She hit the ground crying and clutching her head. "I don't know of any key," she cried. "Really I don't know."

This waiting was driving him insane, really now, it was getting cold...he was getting hungry and knowing the state of food stuffs in this city it would be another two hours or so before he could sit down and enjoy a lovely dinner of cold corn and perhaps a can of cranberry sauce. First thing I am doing when I get back to civilization is a nice huge steak dinner with all the trimmings..., even the thought of such a meal made his stomach ache in rebellion for his brain for just thinking of it, and if at all possible it would have used his lower intestine to throttle his brain, screw the chain of command crap. Unable to do that, it instead just sat and sulked making sure to tell the ever so smug brain that it was annoyed. In all this is still didn't improve Marc's situation as he inched himself over to the edge of the ceiling, which allowed him to hear the distant sound of a vehicle before the woman who went into the store he himself was using as a brief rest point in this city. Now ignoring the news of a vehicle his position allowed him a rare opportune moment to introduce himself to the woman without her getting afraid...a store, food it wasn't really a competition with anything else, hell she would be hard pressed to argue any other reasons for his appearance other than that he was hungry...which wasn't too far from the truth itself so no real acting on his part.
Of course now enter an entirely new difficulty to plan out that he didn't quite factor in, Of course considering the bill the client is footing for what ever key this woman is carrying..., it doesn't really take a rocket science to figure out there were other players in this game other than himself...but he did believe those who comes in first gets the prize and he in all honesty did come in first, not to mention it was a matter of work ethnics. Which would probably have to wait till he saw what the competition was packing so he could figure out what he was up against in order to secure his rightful prize...namely the objective and a nice huge ole payment.
So when a military vehicle came to a stop and out poured several heavily armed soldiers it just brought a bad taste in his mouth, Standard grunts, a tad more rough with questioning...so no fear in her giving up the package before I can get to it...but that doesn't really count since I didn't have a chance to question her myself., a faint curl of his lips showing his distaste at the violent treatment of the woman, now he wasn't against doing violence but when trying to find something out it was better to use other methods...this just made it harder to get what you were really after, and considering that these were mere grunts they would unerringly do the woman enough damage that she would be unusable as an asset in procuring the package. Really, like his job wasn't hard enough and filled with complications that needn't have to deal with these grunts.
Well now...my situation has changed, I never thought of a hero fixation before...of course it would be useful to save her...but again she would after awhile question my almost perfect timing..., rolling that thought around his mind also hinted upon that he could allow the military grunts to do the leg work and when push comes to shove he could most likely easily retrieve the item from them, wouldn't be the first time, Let them use the rabbit lead them to its hole and I come in and grab the carrots...not a bad situation...a pity about the woman through... with a definite plan in place, and one he definitely thought of was perhaps the best, it came as a huge surprise when the sound of creaking from the display topping the store started to creak...it also came as a shock as he looked down at towards the pebble he was running through his fingers was none other than a nut that helped hold the sign to the roof....and like always since surprises liked coming one after the other, it was a shock but not a large one as the first one that he noticed that when the sign came down he would to since he realized his pants leg was caught on a jagged piece of metal that was bent from the sign.
It was a very minor consolation the knowledge of the two soldiers that were crushed instantly by the falling sign probably out weighed his own, but he couldn't really enjoy the small consolation as himself in some preverse sense of righting something that was too late he managed to free his pants leg in time to fall directly onto the leader of the squad of shoulders holding the woman by the hair. Now even though he was banged up, his pant leg was torn and he might have broken something, he did keep the presence of mind to scramble up to his feet, his hands reaching down to un-holster his two hand guns, one pointed down towards the prone man who was no recovering enough, to the point where he would probably kill the thing that fell on top of him with his bare hands, a fact that wasn't lost on Marc at the time as he kept his other handgun pointed towards the last two soldier.
Now divine comedy decided to rear its head, when he realized with a flash of insight that his handguns were lighter than the should be as he edged up to the fallen woman, who was no idealy behind him and safe from the hail of gunfire should the soldier deem it necessary...which of course they would come to in time, "I would advise you get back into the store and find the exit...no hurry really...take your time if you want and go shopping, but hey you know...its kinda of a grand opening with some very ansty customer that want to be first in line...", and somehow despite the seriousness of the situation he somehow managed to keep his tone light, almost conversational as the leader of the grunts got back up, and thank god that most people realizing that with 2 feet separating them from a barrel of a handgun and their head they wouldn't do anything too reckless...of course he also hoped their eye sight in the dark wasn't good enough to realize that both handguns in his hands didn't have any clips.
Despite it, or because of it his sunglasses still remained firmly perched on his face, despite his less than graceful entrance he still looked cool despite it all....now that is a sign of a true professional.

Her head screamed in pain her vision blurry as she tried her best to look around. A small trickle of blood flowed threw her finger tips. Maybe something that would have already clotted up on any normal person, but not her. Something small like this would take some time to clot over. She barley even recognized the voice of the man who was helping her or the sign that laid not to far from her. She heard the words go back into the store, and at that she was more than grateful.
She tried her best to climb to her feet stumbling as she did. She didn't make it two feet before one of the men took it upon himself to test the gunman as he griped her by the wrist and pulled him into his body. His hands were quick as he pulled her arm around her back pulling her closer and his second hand brought the blade up to her neck. She let out a small whimper until he pulled on her wrist causing her to cry out. When the man didn't fire he found it a bit odd.
Elijha was terrified, but it didn't keep her from remembering her past. Remembering her keeper and her boyfriend - a man in the mariens for over six years, a sergeant at that. He was well versed in the martial arts skills, and she could recall many of times they were out in the backyard at night playing around. Elijha brought the side of her foot down to scrape down the calf of the man who was holding her. When he faltered she brought her elbow back into his side, maybe not as strong as it should have been but she wasn't a very strong girl
She was lucky enough when his hand let go and the blade dropped. She took off running without looking back. She stumbled a bit before hitting the doors to the general store. She didn't go to far because she didn't know of another way out of the store. Instead she hid behind the counter, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them.

Now a wise man would have fled the moment the woman was captured and his bluff was called, a wiser man would of realized his guns were empty...now it is debated if there is a man wiser than the wiser man but for now there was only Marc and despite this large set back, and it was quite a setback he did at least managed to get the woman out of his way so he could get a bit more creative. With their prey gone, and as a wolf would look towards hunting something else the soldiers and their leader once more returned their focus onto him, and if looks could well in essence kill he would be dead...not only dead but they would also hunt down a zed so he would become one so they could take turns shooting off his limbs. Honestly, where do the militarys of the world find these guys.
Now most people would have only focused on their own monologue, and truth be told Marc rather enjoyed his own inner monologues but his mind being of a more serious bent was hard at work, the scent of gasoline in the air, how the soldiers were now spread in a nice growing puddle that leaked from their hummer. Gee how thoughtful, they brought spare tanks of gas for their hummer... "You are in some deep s*** mister, we going to stomp you into the ground and spit on your corpse after we are through with you.", the sargeant of the three, his voice barely intelligent, of course that would be Marc's own spin of things. "We should just shoot him then chase after the target sir, that b*tch is going to pay for what she did to me!", the soldier who was so ministrated by the woman said.
"Well if you try to have your way with such an upstanding like that expect to get rejected...of course it is probably something you are used too.", as intended the other two chuckled while the offended one turned an interesting shade of mottled purple as his leveled his rifle at Marc, it would be a good time to note that while the soldiers were now distracted they neglected to realize the fresh blood from the corpses attracted several zeds. Marc of course was counting that as the ace in his sleeve as like all fortunate events he was saved of becoming a very holier person when said zeds tackled the angry soldier to the ground.
Holstering his empty handguns, truly regretting not having the time to grab one of the rifles Marc reached into his pant's pocket to withdraw his zippo lighter bending down quickly the sound of the sarge giving orders followed quickly after by the sudden rat a tat of rifles. Flicking the lighter till the flint caught and it lit, he hovered the lighter over the gasoline spill that inched near him till it caught before he was running crouched into the store. The yells of the men quickly drowned out by the sudden explosion as the fire hit the gas tanks that were on the hummer.
For the moment he allowed himself some time to catch his breath, sore from his fall from the roof, of course a faint smile of satisfaction slowing formed upon his lips as he turned around to look out the windows, noticing the shattered glass littering the floor, the flames of the fire beyond the windows and doors glittering upon the glass giving the scene of the at least one of the soldiers an eerily beautiful quality. Reaching into his jacket pocket, flipping the top open before retrieving a cig with his lips as he slid the pack back into his pocket before using his zippo to light the cig, it to returning to its place in his pants.
Inhaling the smoke, for a moment leaning his shoulders back onto the counter top, the sound of the woman's breathing audible behind as he reached up to remove the cig from his mouth before flicking the ash, "By the way my name is Marc...well it is a bit longer but considering the situation, short and sweet and all.", his voice still retaining that conversational tone as he twisted his head slightly, the cig once again stuck in the corner of his mouth, the embers glowing red, "Now, I wouldn't mind if you shared some of that food you might have found...I am starving..."

Elijha flinched as Marc spoke to her. She still wanted to run and hide even though he was the man who had saved her, yet she couldn't even force her body to stand up. She felt the tears streaming down her eyes. She had never been this terrified before, not even the first day this place became a hell hold. Those men were talking about something she didn't even know. She barley even known her parents. They just shunned her and went to work, even higher-ed her a keeper to take care of her. Her own keeper was more of a mother to her than her own parents.
She gripped her legs tightly, but the pain in her own head kept her distracted. She could still feel the blood trickling down her face. She looked around the counter area wondering if the man had left, but she could still hear his breathing on the other side of the counter. She laid her head down against her knees and closed her eyes in attempt to stop the spinning. She shuttered under the thought of what was happening. Those people where wanting something she knew nothing about. She sniffed as she tried to quite her tears, and thought about the man who had helped her. She looked up to the counter.
"I- I . . ." she paused thinking about what she was saying. Did she really want people to know that she lived here. She didn't have to much time to think about it. One glance at her watch told her she only had a matter of minutes to get home. The sun would be up soon enough, and since she didn't bring her coat with her would make it rather painful trip home. "I . . . I have . . . I have food at home," she spoke lightly looking down at the ground. "W- we can g- go there," she spoke lightly.
