Rio thought of Malcom's idea, and it sounded great all the way around. The extra help and money to face what trials they had waiting for them. Though one thing did come to mind as she looked over to Elijha who still slept on the makeshift bed. She walked over to check on her quickly finding that a fever had sprung up on her. Sighing a bit she tried to find something to cool her down. "Well that is a good idea," she finally pointed out as she walked around the room searching the cabnites. "We just have one thing that could put a damper on it," she said as she looked over to Elijha. "They have to know about her. Mostly for the fact that if they don't they could pull everything right from under us, and we could possible have a third group trying to cause us problems as well," she pointed out.
When she found nothing she let out a heavy sigh. "I need something to cool her down. She's burning up. I think it's her body trying to get rid of the anti-virus that's in her system," she pointed out as she walked to another cabnite and pulled out a couple of rags. "The snow would work great," she pointed out as she pulled out two large bowls. "Who wants to go digging in the snow?" she asked with a laugh. "Volunteers anyone. Not to mention both of you should probably go in order to watch the other's back. With Rhonin still out there who know's what he will do."

Daniel listened to Malcolm’s idea as he laid it out, thinking of how good it sounded. And then Rio shot a hole in it. A small one, sure, but a hole that could open up in a hurry. He was pretty sure he had an idea to fix it.
“You know, money talks. It buys loyalty, along with a lot of other stuff. We get a bunch of guys in here who only care about their next paycheck, we could be in business. From there, we start recruiting idealists. If they don’t like our present company, we pay the heavies in our employ to escort them out. Escort, being throw them on their asses.” Daniel said. Short term first, long term next. And speaking of short term…
“Snow… All we need is some cherries and we can make snow cones.” He said with a smirk, limping slightly as he walked toward the doors. Limping slightly. Not nearly enough for a person with two broken legs. He held his .45 in his hand and made a quick sweep of the hallway as he exited the room, motioning for Malcolm to follow and then for Rio to lock the door behind them again.

Malcom handed Rio his sub machine gun and followed with a handgun, letting her feel safer with all the heavier firepower as he went with Daniel.
"Snowcones huh? I'm more of a slushie guy myself, did a bodyguard job in nevada once, this little gas station had the best damn slushie machine you've ever seen. The cup was halfed with strawberry in one side, apple in the other and they gave you a double barreled straw for it. We should make finding that machine our first job come to think of it, morale would go through the roof. Plus we need to set up a half court, I think one of those rooms was big enough if we clear out the old stuff. Don't say I never contribute to the talking points Dan the man, if Art was more open to my suggestions that train would have been the party spot of the outbreak."
When they got outside Malcom started shovelling snow into the bowls, letting Daniel handle the lookout. Wouldn't be healthy for him kneeling, bending or crouching with his legs in that state.

Rio did as she was told, securing the door behind them. She set the weapon down on the table and walked over to check on Elijha. Her fever was still high, and still she was out cold. Sighing a bit she walked over to the table and sat down. Fishing through some of the items she had on the counter. She had to find out what her uncle had used on Elijha, and hope that she could reverse it or that she would just come around. There was a knock on the door causing her to look up. Her hand drifting to the weapon but paused. The knocking had stopped.
"Bad thing about this room. Doors echo," Rhonin's voiced called from behind her. She turned in the chair only for him to back hand her knocking her into the floor. "Really do you think you could keep me out of this room. Come on know. It's one of Umbrella's old labs. You should know how they work by now."
"Umbrella?" she questioned as she climbed to her feet. "But they plaster everything with their logo. It's no where around."
"I know." He reached down grabbing Rio by the arm. "Lets go." He dragged her to her feet, and toward the door he had come through. "Want to know something funny?"
"If your going to say your crazy I already know that," she barked as she tried to jerk away. "Let go."
"Not a chance." Rio continued to struggle against him, before he was knocked away from her.
"Elijha," she cried as she seen her standing in guard over her. "What are you doing?"
Elijha didn't say anything, but just stood in front of her. Her body felt like weight, and she struggled to stay on her feet. She watched Rhonin intently as he climbed to his feet. He rushed her again, throwing her against the side wall. Elijha slid to the ground unmoving as Rhonin got up. He turned to Rio as she ran for the door. He quickly closed in on her his longer legs out maching her. As she reached for the door he gripped the back of her head slamming it into the cornder of the door frame.
As she fell back he picked her up, and secured the door again. He turned and made his way back to the door he entered from. He looked back into the room before shutting the door behind him. The secret entrance hidden well behind one of the medical cabnets. He made his way down the long tunnel further down into the base of the facility before entering into a large room. He dropped Rio on the ground before heading across the room to a control pannel. Hitting the button the floor slid back except for the center floor where Rio lay. On each side of the room were the doors were was a small walking platform. The rest of the room was filled with water, and something rather large swam below waiting for movement on the surface.

The trip outside didn’t cause the two any problems. Daniel let Malcolm lead the way. Daniel was sure he’d have been able to pick out some of the traps that Malcolm had laid out. But he was also sure that he wouldn’t have been able to spot them all. Malcolm was good at hiding booby traps. Sure, Daniel was the explosives expert, but Malcolm was an engineer. He could whip up things that looked nothing like a normal explosive device. And he could hide them in objects that Daniel never would have been able to convincingly.
Luckily, they didn’t have to go but more than three feet to find snow. It was all over the f**king place. Filling the bowls, they started back inside and got to the door to the lab just as quickly as they had left. When Daniel knocked on the door, he instantly knew something was wrong when it didn’t open after a few moments.
“Open it.” He told Malcolm. He wasn’t in the best shape to break it down, and he was betting Malcolm would be able to pick the lock with something or other.

Malcom reached down to start picking at the door lock with one of his tools before the door slowly opened just as he touched it. He saw Elijah on the floor and a blood trail leading out of the room, now easier to see in the light.
"Dammit, check her. I'm going after Rio. Plus I'm gonna finish these freaks once and for all."
He sprinted down the corridor following the trail, crashing open any door in his way and flipping over the shelf on his way through the tunnel. On nearing the water chamber he slid to a stop and did a quick scan of the room with his MP5, catching sight of Rio, Rhonin and whatever was brushing the water surface.
"No second chances this time."
He opened fire, cutting across Rhonins shins and dropping him to the floor. As the blood dripped through the grating the water started churning.

Rhonin cried out as he hit the grated floor. Already he was trying to move to the door behind him, but the noise from the water already indicated he was moving to slow. A large tenticle rose from the water and struck the grate beside him. He struggled to move away even faster, but a second tenticle wrapped around his legs and pulled him into the water. His scream was drowned out by the gurgle of the water. Shortly after a spot in the pool turned a dark red with his blood.
Rio had already opened her eyes at the sound of the gunfire. She watched it all, and without a sound. Somehow when he disappeared below the water she didn't feel a bit of regret for him. Though her thought was short lived as the tenticles once more rose from the water. Rio cried out as she gripped the grated floor tightly as one of the tenticles wrapped around her legs, and tried to pull her into the water. She had no where to go, and she could instantly feel the strain on her body as she struggled to keep from going into the water.

With Rhonin out of the picture, things would soon start to stop going wrong like they had. But, the new problem was still here. Daniel wasn’t sure which one was worse. At least whatever was in the tank was stuck in the tank. Seemed like the easiest way to kill it could be to pull the plug.
The matter at hand, however, was to stop whatever it was that was trying to pull Rio into the water. It looked like an octopus, but God only knew what that twisted f**k had been up to in here.
Hobbling toward her on the leg that hurt the least, he fell forward and grabbed her hand, locking his better leg around one of the supports for the railing. He was pulled along with her, and f**k it hurt…
Reaching to his vest, he pulled off a grenade and pulled the pin out with his thumb. He tossed it off the side of the railing and pulled on Rio to keep her from going into the water. As long as he could stop that from happening, she would be ok. The shrapnel wouldn’t pass through the water’s surface, given the fact that the explosive device would sink like a rock to the bottom of the pool before the fuse went off.

"Hold on, be over in a sec."
Malcom hopped over Rhonin on the way to the control panel, kicking his hand loose whilst he tried to hold himself up. The switches were all given simple labels so after a few tries it was easy enough to find one that started the tank doors closing over again. Whilst they sealed Malcom broke open a fire axe box and dropped his sword into the grill through one of Daniels holsters, giving him something extra to hold onto.
"Stay as still as you can, this'll be messy."
He took the axe and started hacking away at the tentacle holding Rio. It was slow work, like cutting tar, but eventually the limb retracted leaving part of it behind as the doors completly closed over. Malcom caught his breath before putting the axe down and untangling the remainder of the tentacle from around Rio. The grenade going off a few seconds later shook the ground.
"Well, that's another selling point to this place. All the smoked calimari you can eat. Everyone okay?"

Rio panted slightly as she laid on the floor. She rested her head on the ground and closed her eyes. Her head was killing her, and it didn't help that it felt like her body could have been ripped apart. She relaxed for a bit before s***ting up on her knees. She looked around the room and then down at the ground. She knew that Rhonin deserved what he got, but in a way she still felt guilty about what happened. Now she really was left without any family. Sighing heavily she looked at Daniel and Malcom. "Thank you. I don't know what I would do without you two," she said with a light smile.
It was then that she realized that she had forgotten about Elijha. She stood up fast, and instantly realized it was a bad mistake. Stumbling slightly before she hit the ground. She brought her hand up to her head feeling the blood, and the cut that was there. She sighed a bit as she closed her eyes trying to stop the spinning. "C- can one of you go check on Elijha. I'll be there as soon as my head stops spinning," she said a bit slowly.

Daniel slowly pulled Rio over to the center of the walkway and then let himself rest. He sprawled out into a heap of limbs as he took a few deep breaths, his muscles screaming from the effort and injury he was suffering from. Panting as he tried to regain his breath, he looked up at Malcolm when Rio asked one of them to go check on Elijha.
“I nominate you.” He said through panting breaths, letting his head fall back again and letting his eyes close. He wanted to go to sleep right here and there, but it wasn’t going to happen. He knew that, if anything, deep down he wouldn’t allow himself to fall asleep on top of a giant plate of calamari. The fact that it may or may not be dead didn’t ease his mind at all. He didn’t trust these things to die when they should.
“Come on, lets get away from this pool.” He said to Rio, sitting up with help from the railing and getting to his feet just long enough to help her to the walkway. At which point he leaned against the wall and slid down to a sitting position again. His body just wouldn’t go anymore.

"Don't trouble yourselves, I'll do it." Malcom stood up joking. "If I find any hidden treasure on the way though I'm keeping it all." He picked up his sub machine gun but left the rest of his gear behind. Not like anyone else would turn up to steal it.
He rushed back to the saferoom Elijah was waiting at. Finding her still lying where she was left. The bowls of ice had melted by now, but the water was still near freezing, so he soaked a rag and put it on her forehead to ease the fever she was going through. She seemed to be working off the worst of it if she had enough energy to clock a man across the room, probably burned out a good amount of the antiviral agent in the process, might speed the recovery process.
"Hey, you still kosher kid? Sorry about the run out, Rio's fine and Rhonin won't be back. But you pushed yourself hard there. Try and get some real rest you hear?"

Rio sat down beside Daniel and looked across the room. She didn't know what to say, or do at the moment. Her family was gone, but her friends were still alive. It was hard to believe that the ones who cared most about her wasn't her family. She let out a sigh before looking at Daniel. "You've done so much for me. I don't know where to begin. Probably with taking another look at you, but at the moment it doesn't look like you want to move. An I wouldn't mind sitting here for a little bit longer." She looked back across the room. "When you want to go back to the others let me know. I'll help you get back."
--------------------------------------------------------
Elijha opened her eyes at the sound of Malcom's voice. She smiled weakly before closing her eyes. It didn't last but a second before she was sitting up grabbing her head. The pounding headache, and the pain she had felt only a couple of times before. So much pain, and she knew what caused it. She wanted to tell Malcom to run, but her head screamed with pain. Then her body was moving on it's own, and it felt like she was in another world. Shifting toward Malcom she back handed him into the nearest wall. Climbing to her feet she made her way toward him. Reaching down she wrapped her hand around his neck, and then threw him across the room. As he was climbing to his feet, she rushed him slamming him into the wall, and started punching him.

“We better get back now.” Daniel said. With her help he was able to get back on his feet, and by leaning on her slightly he was able to keep his balance long enough to start walking on his own. Limping, was more the term. They didn’t go far when they heard the last thump of Malcolm being thrown into a wall.
“It never ends, does it?” He said, his pistol still in his hand. He used the wall for support as he made his way down the hall, coming to the steps and sighing as he using the handrail to drag himself up. His legs didn’t even want to lift on their own…

Just as Daniel and Rio reached the room, Malcom was thrown out the door into the facing wall, slumping down to the floor and coughing from multiple punches to the stomach.
"Good news and bad news. Elijah just burned out all the antivirus, she's back in top shape. but I think GHHHK"
Elijah had rushed out and gripped him by the throat, starting the fight again. This time Malcom kicked off the wall pushing her back into a table. He tried to hold her down whilst reaching for his gear, hoping to grab the signal jammer he'd put together back at the hotel. Just as he grabbed it she kicked his knee to push him off balance and slammed him onto the table, breaking through and sending the jammer across the room. As she turned to the other two Malcom grabbed her in a bearhug, trying to keep her arms pinned and holding her off the floor to stop her getting leverage for another attack.
"Grab the jammer, the thingy made out of the smoke alarm, hit the green button next to the other green button." He currently regretted not finding time to relabel the device or at least find other colours of buttons to use.
