Pearl Harbor is an active military base and memorial site. Here you can find old battleships, aircraft carriers, and also the Arizona Memorial, as well as the National Memorial Cemetery. This place is huge, and guarded by the latest equipment and thousands of naval officers. Tours are offered.

The sub quietly came to a halt in one of the few empty docks in Pearl Harbour. Almost immediately after stopping, all of the exterior hatches were opened, and refugees and soldiers alike began to offload from the ship. They were lead through the base via on site Naval Officers and Sailors alike.
When all of the civilians and soldiers were offloaded, the crew also left the sub, and parted ways to spend their week off in their own ways. Me, myself, and most of my officers all headed straight to HQ however, since the second part of our mission was about to begin.
According to the acting Chief of the Navy, the USS Hawaii was to become the submarine escort for Task Force Pantheon, one of the most elite fighting units in the United States Forces. It was a true honour, the only problem was the USS Hawaii was under crewed, which was something Brass was trying to figure out to solve.
When we reached the HQ, we sat down with Brass and they told us that we would be accommodating fifty four new crewmen, who were being picked out from the mess of refugee’s we’d grabbed from England. Now, when they were still on the ship, I’d spoken with a few of them, and apparently quite a number of them were sailors, so I’d had a feeling they’d become permanent members. But now it was official.
So, after the relatively short meeting, me and my officers left HQ and went our separate ways, again concluding that after the weeks leave we’d be ready for at least another year. I myself went to my apartment which wasn’t far off base. Even though it was close to the base, didn’t mean I used it a lot. When I entered the apartment, I was hit with a wall of emptiness, and went straight to bed.
- One Week Later
With a full load of new soldiers of the TFP, and a well rested crew, the USS Hawaii took to the sea's again, this time destined for Raccoon City according to new objectives given out by HQ.
(Jacob Ehrlichmann and the USS Hawaii are now at sea)

((Thorton, Andreya and Joe enter))
Andreya was plastered to the window as the cab pulled up to their apartment. It took a moment to get through the check point at the entrance. It was probably because they didn't land in the strip located in the harbor itself. Andreya climbed out of the cab with Thorton and Joe behind her. She was happy to be home, and she wasn't planning on going anywhere else. Staying around the house or around the base was just fine by her. She followed Thorton up the stairs to the third story, and waited for him to open the door. As soon as he swung the door open Andreya rushed in, and down the hall to her room. It was a moment later before she returned holding a pillow. "I'm tired, but I want to sleep in here," she said as she laid the pillow down in the corner, and disappeared quickly returning with a blanket.
She pulled Socks from her pocket and sat the small kitten down on the pillow. Disappearing into the kitchen she came back with two bowls one with food and the other with water. She sat them down against the wall, and pulled her shoes off setting them against her small makeshift bed. She smiled as she looked up at Joe and Thorton. "So what now?" she asked lightly before she took off her over shirt and sat it on the ground, and then pulled out her inhaler. "I know you'll have to go back to talk to your boss since you came back, but when will you have to go?" she asked lightly.

“I don’t think that will be necessary at all.” Thorton answered Andreya. Technically speaking, he had finished his mission. He was supposed to get on the plane and come back here, but instead he hitched a ride with a helicopter pilot to the school. And from there, every damn stop she had made until he had found her in the woods. He was where he needed to be. His gear was on its way back to storage, taken from the airport. He had his personal registered firearm with him, whatever was in his pockets, and nothing else.
He took a seat on the couch, sighing and laying back. It was good to be home. And now, for some reason, he was growing more and more tired. He took a moment to stand up and walk around in the time it took Andreya to gather her bedding, going and checking the apartment. He checked the windows, the door, the rooms. Nothing was changed save for a bare bed in Andreya’s room. He locked up as he did every night, and returned to the couch. He took his seat again and started working the buckles on his brace, loosening them until the brace came apart in half. He set it beside the couch and laid back.
“Good to be back.” He said with his eyes closed. “Make yourself at home.” He said to Joe.

"Thank you."
Joe sat on the floor, not wanting to snatch up any of the seats before the owners had their pick. He slipped his bag off his shoulder and knife off his belt and set them aside.
"I guess I'll probably visit some of the other members of the order while I'm here, I think I saw a building on the way that they claim to frequent. Will I be needing any kind of paperwork to get off this base?"

Andreya smiled as she looked down at Socks and stroked her tiny head. "Good. Then we can spend tomorrow together, and sleep in," she said with a slight laugh. She pulled her blanket around her and laid down in the corner of the room. Nuzzling her head into the pillow she let out a yawn and bundled up. It wasn't long before Socks climbed up onto the pillow and got comfortable as well before quickly falling asleep. Andreya smiled as she looked up into the room. "Good night Thorton and Joe," she said as she closed her eyes. She shifted again, but quickly fell asleep right afterwords.

Thorton turned his head over to Joe without opening his eyes and yawned.
“No, no paperwork to get off. I can get you a pass for getting on later.” He said. It was a pain in the ass to get a pass to go on base on your own. Background checks, contraband checks, constant checks of countless other kinds. With his rank and standing on the base, he could vouch for Joe and get a pass pushed through. That meant if he did anything, it was on him as well, but he didn’t think that would be a big problem. Joe was a monk, he didn’t expect a monk to get into much trouble.
“We’ll get it taken care of tomorrow.” He said. At the moment, he wasn’t in the mood to move from his spot for a good ten or 12 hours. Give or take a day or two… He laid his head back down so he was looking at the ceiling and yawned again, settling back and falling asleep about as quickly as Andreya had.

******NEXT DAY******
Andreya was up moving around rather early. She had already taken a shower and changed into what close she had left here before moving to the dorms at the collage. Her bed was made up, and a proper place for the kittens food was set up in the corner of the kitchen. She shuffled through the cabinets trying her best to find what food she could to make breakfast for everyone. She figured that Thorton wouldn't store any perishables knowing he was going on a mission. Sometimes his missions lead him away from home a long time and food would go bad before he returned. After venturing to the neighbors house for a few minutes she returned with a few extra items. It didn't take her much longer to cook up a decent breakfast after getting a package of bacon, eggs, and some milk. Setting out plates at the table she put everything in the stove so it could stay warm until Joe and Thorton could wake up.

Thorton awoke with a yawn, looking around the room. He saw Joe on the floor, but not Andreya. He looked around the room for a moment until he smelt the food in the kitchen. He smirked and reached for his leg brace.
Time and time again he had told Andreya that the cleaning and cooking she did wasn’t required, but she seemed to enjoy doing it. Enjoy it when it was on her terms, anyway. Not to mention the fact that he couldn’t cook to save his life. The cafeteria at the barracks or take out was what he had lived on for years.
He got his brace strapped and buckled in place before he walked into the kitchen, seeing her sitting at the table waiting for them to wake up.
“You know you don’t have to wait for us.” He said. He didn’t think Joe would mind and he certainly didn’t. He tried to give her as much freedom as possible, given her last home. Never once had it been betrayed, she was naturally quiet and considerate. He’d heard quite a few horror stories from the guys who had teenage daughters, and Thorton wondered if he would be in jail or the loony bin if she was anything like their kids.
He picked up two of the plates from the table and walked over to the stove, reaching into it and putting some eggs and strips of bacon onto each plate. He put them on the table and walked over to the fridge, opening it up and taking out the milk and a can of Cola. Thorton didn’t drink, but he did like to fill the slot with soda, an almost equally forbidden liquid in his profession. He got two glasses and set them on the table, taking his seat and pouring a glass of milk for Andreya.

Joe awoke from his meditation like sleeping position, noticing that Andreya's kitten was nudging against him, trying unsuccesfully to shift him from the spot he was sitting on.
"Sorry." He stood. "I didn't expect you to claim territory that fast."
He followed the smell of the cooking into the kitchen. Giving greetings to Thornton and Andreya, then after asking permission, put together a small serving of the bacon and eggs for himself. He took a seat, waiting for the other two to begin their meal first.
"Thank you for the hospitality, I apologise for any burden upon your home or resources, especially in these troubling times."

Andreya smiled as she took a piece of bacon and broke it in half. "If it was a burden then we wouldn't have asked you to come," she said looking up at Joe. Smiling a bit more she took a few more bites of her breakfast. Turning around in her chair to make sure that Socks was behaving herself. She smiled when she seen the small kitten sleeping in her empty food bowl. Turning back around to the table she looked around at Thorton and Joe and smiled again. "Maybe while you two are out getting Joe's paper work settled down I'll go shopping. Stock up the kitchen and get a few things for Socks," she pointed out

Thorton finished the food that was in his mouth and looked up at Andreya.
“Ya sure. I’ll give you some money when we’re done eating.” He said. It was amazing how much money you could save when everything you would ever need was paid for. Thorton had never been one to go and spend his check at the PX. A few bucks of cheap cigars here and there, food. Amounted to less than 300 dollars a month. Less than 400 when Andreya moved in, only because he found himself buying more and more raw goods instead of pre made ones.
He finished his plate and drained his can, walking over and setting the plate in the sink. He rinsed it off to make it easier to clean later and threw the can in the trash. He walked back to his room and pulled out a small metal box from under the bed. He spun a dial a few times and opened it up, taking out a small leather envelope with a zipper. He kept important documents and cash here, everything they’d need it they ever moved or something happened to the apartment. He took out a hundred dollar bill and put the box back, walking back out to the table.
He set it next to Andreya’s glass and took his seat.
“Which place’s will you be going, it shouldn’t take more than a half our if I’m there too.” He said. He wondered if Joe had all his paper’s, ID and passport and all that. Probably, if he was flying around. If he did, it would be all the easier to run the checks on him.

Joe washed up his plate after he finished breakfast, not wanting to cause any more work for the two until he got to other lodgings. He then retrieved his bag from the living room, after getting the kitten out of it, and went back into the kitchen to check over his identification.
"Hope the military accepts this as proof that I'm who I say I am."
He found the travelling ID he had been given when he got to the states, the ticket stubs from hong kong to racoon to hawaii, and his medallion with the sinanju symbol on it.
"I had some trouble applying for this ID, seems they got suspicious of me, around about when I told them I was raised by a remote monastary after the murder of my family, it can't be that uncommon though right?"

Andreya pocketed the money before getting up and taking her plate to the sink. She washed it, and followed up with putting the rest of the food away for later and cleaning the rest of the kitchen up. She walked back to the table and sat down resting her arms on the table as she did. "If you get home before I do please watch where you step. I'm not going to take Socks with me. I don't know how stores will react to a small kitten hanging around me," she said with a small laugh. Shifting in her chair she looked back to the kitten still roaming around the living room inspecting everything there was. "An if I don't see you anymore Joe, thank you for everything you have done for me."

“The monastery part might be what they had some trouble with.” Thorton said to Joe. He had to admit, that part of the man was a bit hard to believe, but if he ever saw a monk, it would probably look like Joe. He looked at the papers Joe handed him, and thought they would be ok. A government issued ID card, no matter how hard it had been to attain, would save them some trouble. It gave them all the information they needed, and if Joe was who he said he was, Thorton was thinking that the background check would come up empty.
“Your welcome to stay here as long as you need.” Thorton said to Joe. He seemed to be worrying about being a bother or a nuisance, but he was far from it. If it were Louis here on the other hand, Thorton couldn’t say that he would be as hospitable. He had a deep seated dislike for the man, no matter what he had done for Andreya.
