((Sorry, we've been busy.))
"Yeah, a wedding. Also a few toys and snacks, for my daughter," Richard added. The man seemed friendly enough, so getting a few things out in the open seemed like the right thing to do. "All together we need to find a camera, film, batteries maybe... a gown, a tux, the rings we got, and..." Thinking over all the things he needed for his daughter he sped up his tone. "...a .32, some jellybeans, an action figure or two, probably some bullets if we can find some, aaaand thats about it."
"So it's just you in here by yourself?" Rich asked after finishing his list.

((Yeah, sorry guys, I'm studyin' for a test and Ion's been job hunting.))
Anna let Richard handle the new guy while she wandered on into the Candy store nearby. Before disappearing from sight, she'd mentioned aloud where she was going. "Goin' to the candy store. You fellas are too slow for me."
She felt a little let down. It was nice to have another ally, or potential ally, anyway, but she was hoping that maybe she and Rich would have had some alone time like she'd wanted, which was why Jake and Chase escorted Lucy elsewhere.
Of course you can't win them all. Moving on into the shop, there'd been a large variety of sweets lining the walls, counters filled with boxes of candy, the works. Anna's eyes lit up when her eyes rested upon an entire shelf of chocolate.
"Oh yeah."
=================================================
Jake and Chase both looked over the railing at the roaming zombies. The escalators were working, one was stuck from under all the dead weight but if they spread out enough or fall off, it should have been able to work properly again.
Jake scratched the back of his head, squinting an eye. "Eh, we'll be fine. We're all the way up here and they're all the way down there. Besides there aren't enough to be a real threat. We can move around 'em, eh, Lieutenant?"
Chase nodded. "We're gonna have to. I need to get down there," he responded, gesturing for Jake to lure Lucy elsewhere for awhile.
Jake groaned. "Lucy, where did yu say you were from?" he asked, patting her shoulder and then gently pushing her infront of him.
"C'mon, you can tell me all about it while I get some boxers.

Lucy knew that she was being steered away from the Food Court. She also knew that Chase was going down there... and she was thankful that they were considering her when making their plans. So she didn't object when Jake started to lead her away, but she didn't answer his question.
"Jake, if you need to go down there, I understand. I know that there is a medical room on this floor and that it is usually on the main floor. I used to work at a Claire's when I was in high school and someone had a heart attack. That is where they were taken until the ambulance could arrive."
She gave Jake a smiled, but it was a barely confident one, and point over at Chase. "Really, if you need to be there, I'll be fine."

“Uh huh…” Mikey said as he heard the man list off different things. That was certainly a… Varied list. Some of it made sense, some of it not so much, but he wasn’t much for sentiment. Someone who was concerned with that sort of stuff, it made sense.
“Ya, just me. I guess no one else was able to get inside the shutters.” He said. He’d come in the back door, knocked the door knob off with the stock of his shotgun, used his multi tool to pry the rest of it out, and got inside that way. It had taken a bit of time, but he was in. And the back door was still locked with the deadbolts.
“I cleared out most of them here on the top floor. Went hunting for some supplies. Got a set up in the security office.” He said, jerking his thumb back toward said office. It had it’s own locks on the door, and after he wedged a filing cabinet in front of the door, nothing would be catching him off guard.
The woman voiced that she was going off to the candy store, walking past Mikey and he couldn’t help but smirk. He hadn’t touched the place, himself. What he did do was round up a lot of nonperishable food and load it up in a bag in case he had to get out of dodge. He had been living off the less than perishable food that had stuck around while the fresh food rotted. His plan had been to stay until the place was either taken over or devoid of any supplies he could use, and then leave.
“There are also some military drops in some of the stores. At least, I think they were military drops. High grade weapons, MRE’s and bottled water, uniforms.” He said. He hadn’t messed with them, he had already had what he needed. He preferred a shotgun to a rifle, and his Glock to the Beretta’s they had. He had taken a pair of boots in his size, and he preferred his method of MRE’s to the military ones.
“If your looking for shotgun shells or nine millimeter rounds, don’t expect to find many. I cleaned those out.” He said. About a thousand rounds total, a new duffle bag filled with them and his new food stores. Those, along with the normal bag he had with him that was stocked with a fair amount of supplies and tools. One was a bag he kept with him at all times, one was what he would grab if he wanted to leave. Even if he had to get out quick, the bag with the ammo and food wouldn’t hold anything that he didn’t already have at least some of.
“But I would be willing to share.” He said to the man, as the woman was gone already. He was a nice enough guy at heart. And now that he was sure they weren’t raiders, he would be willing to help them out if they needed it.

"Well thanks, but I think with all we're here to get, we'll have our hands full," Rich said following after Anna. "The B.S.A.A. takes care of it's own, so we're not hurting for ammo or guns. Honestly the .32 is for my daughter. I didn't want to get her a caliber she couldn't handle: she's only eight," he explained.
Walking into the candy store after Anna, Richard began looking for the right flavor. He already figured the military would have stockpiled supplies here, considering how well defended it was. Of course the B.S.A.A. would probably make better use of those supplies, but they'd have their hands full with the runoff from Trinity for a while.
"Candy's fine, must be all those artificial preservatives," he mused, pulling a lever and causing a small deluge of jellybeans to fall into the ramps below them. He scooped a few up and shoved them in his mouth. "Probably tastes better than MREs or beans too."

Didn't take long until Anna had a coupla bags of both Dr.Pepper Jellybeans and Cherry jellybeans. She would have hauled an entire three pounds of chocolate if she could, but Aryn's needs came before her own, she decided that a year ago. So instead, she put away the bags of candy into her bag and walked around, taste testing every bar, malt ball, brick and cherry smothered in chocolate.
It was there that she randomly remembered that she had a dress to squeeze her ass into so she mentally forced herself to stop indulging. With that done, she looked over to see Rich grabbing some jellybeans, himself.
"I think she'll be good on jellybeans for a coupla months... well, if we keep an eye on her. She's liable to inhale all three bags if we let her. Then she'll never sleep again," she told him, smiling.
"She won't eat 'em all at once, We'll make sure to keep an eye on her," he said back, grabbing a bag himself.
Anna nodded a bit, rubbing the back of her head and glancing at Mikey, sheepishly. "So Mikey, just how long have you been locked away in the mall? While we're on the subject, you haven't by chance seen those monsters with the massive hearts romping about, eh?" she asked, moving her eyes elsewhere as she'd poked and prodded at some other candies.
"I'd like to be prepared for the storm." she finished.
======================================================
Jake shook his head and smiled reassuringly at the young woman, patting her on the head. "Nah, nah, the Lieutenant is a solo kinda guy. I don't mind escortin' a pretty little woman such as yerself around for a bit. We can go find the camera store, help the scavengers hunt out." he told her, smirking and wandering on toward the barren staircases. He couldn't help but acknowledge the heavily barred off portions of the mall.
It looked like the foodcourt was locked away from them, out of reach along with the outdoor plaza which was unsettling.
"Wonder what's behind some of these doors...whaddya think, Lou?" he asked of the young woman.

Lucy laughed a bit and followed Jake toward the camera store. "There is really only one way to find out, but I'm not very keen to finding out that way."
Lucy again wondered what had led her to open her mouth to join this mission. She was never the type to do that. But she was here and needed to not lose her head.
"If you want I can shoot through the lock and then hold off the hordes that might be back there with my trusty six-shooter. If this was the movies, I wouldn't even have to reload... one shot would kill a dozen at a time."
Changing the subject, she decided to ask two questions that had been bugging her.
"So, what's up with Anna? Everytime she looks at me she looks like she has seen a ghost. And why get married now? I mean, when you meet the one, I get it, but now... after what happened at the safe zone?"

((I wanna reply! So I'm gonna. :3 ))
Jake shook his head, placing a hand on her weapon and tapping it. "No use, they're electronically locked by security consoles in the security room. Besides, I'd rather not have to deal with hordes of zombies right now."
As the two pressed on, Jake fired two shots into a stray undead on their floor. One struck it's throat, blood gushing out of the wound but not stopping it. Another nailed it in the forehead, that took it down for the count.
Lowering his aim, he heard Lucy ask about Anna's whereabouts. He'd scratched his head and thought for a moment of how to answer.
"Anna's different. I guess... Richard's known her for fourteen years, they escaped Raccoon City in 1998 together. Well, they survived together anyway but got separated on the way out. From what I've gathered, they've had some run ins ever since then but they're always getting separated. They're playing coy right now. They've prolly been inlove for years and this whole B.S.A.A. ordeal with the wedding proof is all just an excuse to be married, if ya ask me," he joked, chuckling.
"Anna's a B.S.A.A. Agent and figured if they'd told people they were married, then she could get Rich and his daughter to safety in Florida where HQ is. Then Chase told them what they had to do to get in and now here we are."
There was a brief pause between both Lucy and himself before he frowned, managing to find something else to look at as they entered the Camera Store.
"You look like Anna's late daughter. Er, actually, her name was 'Lucy' too, coincidentally...Just, ya know, seventeen years or so, older. She was sick with Cancer and sometime last year she died at Trinity. Anna hasn't really gotten over it yet. I guess when she looks at you, she sees her little girl's face and it has her spooked. Don't take it personal."

“I think it’s been about four days. It’s hard to tell, sleeping at any given hour of the day, not to mention being up for two and a half days straight before I got here. Some days I’m not even sure if the sun is coming up or going down sometimes.” He said. He smirked at the MRE comment and looked at the guy.
“A lot can be said about MRE’s. If you get the right ones, their not too bad. Taste kind of like the school lunches you get as a kid.” He said. “Besides, some of them are damn good.” He said with a smirk as he watched them take the candy. He wasn’t big on candy.
“Monsters with massive hearts? No, I haven’t seen anything like that. Like… Ever.” He said. He had no clue what they were talking about. He’d seen his share of the monsters that were far bigger than zombies, but never anything like they were talking about. But…
“Wait, prepared for the storm? What do you mean?” He asked her.

Richard stepped out of the store candy stuffed away safely. Putting his hands on the railing, he scanned the rest of the mall. Some of it was grated off and it looked like some serious shasta was going on there. Undead fluttering about like goddamn flies over a corpse. It looked like some kind of gas was seeping out of their flesh, almost like they were boiling.
"Hey Anna, come get a look at this," he said calling her over. "You remember those right?" he said pointing at them. They'd seen them back in Raccoon even if they were too far away to get a closer look now: their pure-white eyes, blood red skin, mutated claws, raspy howl...
Anna was going to respond to Mikey but instead wandered over to see what Rich was pointing off at. She'd cringed and grasped ahold of the railing tightly beside him.
"Yeah, how could I forget? Horde of those bastards chased us all the way to the tram station," she told him.
"Yeah, well, looks like the military locked them in that portion of the mall. See, body bags," he pointed towards the rows of black bags lining the floor behind the grating. "They must've kept their dead quartered off from the rest of them. Lets see the map, what's behind those grates?"

Anna reached for the map tucked away in the inner breast pocket of her jacket, unfolding it. She'd traced a finger along the ragged paper before smacking the back of her hand against the area it hovered over.
"The Food Court. Guess we're stuck nom-nom-ing on candy and expensive booze we come across up here."
"Damn, I wanted a churro. As long as there aren't any stores on our hit list, we'll do fine right?" Rich said slapping Anna's behind.
Anna smirked, ignoring the impulse to crack an inappropriate, sexual innuendo-laced joke about the churro sticks. Instead, she'd turned away from the overlook of the Food Court.
"Nope, nothing we need there but a McDonalds, China Border, Taco Bell and some Pizzerias. Mikey, you gonna tag along with us? Next stop is the JCPenny."
((Alright I don't have to respond as Jake soo Rhinn, you're still up. =D Also, uhh the playful thing with Rich and Anna, Ion thought it'd be funny. Blame him. XD ))

{Oh I love sexual innuendos... or is it Churros? Wink wink, nudge nudge} "Oh, that makes sense", responded Lucy to Jake's explanation of Anna. If she was in Anna's shoes, she probably would have lost it. "I guess calling her mom and trying to hug her is out of the question." She followed Jake into the Camera Store. It was amazing what people would steal before the outbreak wasn't always the same as after. Most of the merchandise was here... in some form. The place had been ransacked, but it looked more like people trying to escape than people stealing stuff. She walked over to one of the cameras. It was a digital camera... a Canon G-12. She picked it up and found some batteries for it. "Well all the batteries will need to be charged", she said, pocketing the batteries, camera, and a charger into her backpack. She also grabbed a handful of memory chips for it. "There are some video cameras.. ya know... for the moneymoon." She smiled back at Jake and as she looked past him, she saw a double door that led away from the public area. "Hey, do we have time to go back there?" Lucy asked, pointing at the double doors. "That would lead to the mall's back offices and they would have a couple of first aid kits there as well."

Mikey, curious to see what the two were gaping and gasping at, walked over to the railing and took a look. It took him a moment to see what they meant, but he let out a small ‘ah’ as soon as he spotted the crowd of Crimson Heads.
“Ah, those f**kers.” He said as he looked down at his shotgun. “Their not a big issue. They go down easy enough.” He said. A close range load of buckshot was usually enough to get rid of them. If you had the time, another shot to make sure they stayed down was a good policy.
“JC Penny, you said? Sure, why not?” He said as he looked over toward the store. He knew this place pretty well.
