(Jeebus, sorry for taking a year. Life's been too good I just couldn't find time to come back, XD. If you guys're still alive, might as well post)
Ulrich turned with one last look towards Matt and ran towards the edge. As he flew into the sky, time slowed once more to a crawl. Ulrich looked doewn below. "What a drop..." He thought to himself. He turned back to see Matt already prepping for his jump.
Within moments, Ulrich hit the edge close to Russell, waiting on the two. As soon as he hit the ground, Ulrich was already pulling his UMP out from behind him, pointing towards where Matt stood. He didn't have a clear shot on the beast, but if it suddenly decided it could climb and did so, it was the least he could do for the man.
He began yelling at Matt to hurry. Two down, one more to go. They were so close to escape, so close to at least momentary freedom from the monstrosity, it was too late to give up. He mentally crossed his fingers and prayed for Matt's saftey. Ulrich was not religious, but there wasn't much else he could do for him.

Matt started to make a run and jump and as he did the beast rammed the pillar. When the pillar started to fall it missed up Matts jump as he flew arcoss the gap that now had dust and debris flying through the air. Matt hit the wall his hands just barely grasping the egde as the rest of him dangled over the egde. "I need some help over here.", he called out. He move his pistol a little closer from the edge. The creature looking though the dust was digging through the rubble looking for the three men.

Russell looked out the window to see Matt hanging from a ledge a floor down. "Aw f**k, hold on Matt we will be right down for you." Russell yelled down to Matt before turning away and rushing down stairs. Russell wasn't sure if there were any more infected in the building, and he wasn't about to find out by being eaten. Russell moved through the halls of the building with his AK 47 raised at his shoulder.
Russell made sure nothing would jump out at him as he moved down the halls. Glancing into each doorway to see if there was anything in the room. Russell came across one near the stairs but before it knew Russell was there he had shot it three times in the head.
Russell moved down the stairs to the floor Matt was hanging from. This was the hhard part, Russell would have to check a lot of the rooms to see where Matt was. It was Needle in the Hay Stack with a deadly twist for the needle.

Ulrich followed close behind Russell, checking rooms adjecent to the ones Russell would check.
As he went, his thoughts wandered to Matt. He prayed he could hold on at least long enough until they found him. It was weird. Ulrich felt differently about Matt than he had anyone else before. He knew what it meant. He really did develop a friendship with him. Unfortunately, that would create feelings he could not afford to have for Matt. He could not afford to get emotional at the loss of someone else. Doing that got you killed regardless.
Nonetheless, he focused on the task at hand. On the fourth room he entered, he could swear he heard the sounds of someone struggling. That meant one thing: he found Matt. A quick check out the closest window confirmed his thoughts. The bad news was, he was a floor above him, but nowhere near any windows other than the one below in which Ulrich spotted him through. A quick shout up to Matt for reassurance, then a shout to Russell of confirmation. He had to act quickly, or all of this would have been in vain.
He stepped to the window, kicking what was left of it out so he could stick his arms out the window. With that he gathered some rope-like fabrics throughout the room and made a makeshift repel, but his idea was different. As he finished, Russell had entered the room. without time to explain, he threw his end of the rope at him and told him to grab and hold it. Elongating the rope, he rushed to the window and shouted up to Matt. His plan was to have Matt catch the rope and swing downard. He'd get a few scrapes and perhaps a bruise, but Ulrich suppsoed it was better that than dying, especially in a place like this. As he stepped to the door, yelling to Matt the word "Catch!", Ulrich threw the opposite rope end towards Matt. His mouth became a thin line as he mentally crossed his fingers that Matt would make it.

Matt grabbed the makeshift rope and got ready to free fall as he heard the tearing of fabric. He lowered himself down a little more on the rope. Then it snapped and Matt made a two story free fall down to the ground below. The fall was a little worse than what Matt had thought it was going to be. On his way down he hit a piece of concrete that was jutting out into the gap. His helmet hit it and his body flipped to his back and kept falling. He then landed on his side. Matt took off his helmet with his right arm and took a look at it. The sides where scrapped and it scrapped some paint off to reveal a symbol that would cause him certain death by anyone that would see it. He turned it to the front to see the front had been smashed in and the face shield was cracked. He winced it pain as he brought up his left arm and saw that it was cut into a little by the plate armor that covered the top of his left upper arm.
"I hate this city", Matt said to himself as I got up. He looked up at the building and called to the others, "I'm heading up and could you get my revolver that is up there?" He then started walking over to the front door of the building and stopped. He looked around the desolate street and then looked at his helmet. He then walked into the front room area and threw his helmet up against the wall. Then a zombie came out from, the stairs and charged him. Matt quickly grabbed the infected by its arm and slung it up against the wall. He then grabbed his knife out of its holster and ran toward the zombie. The ruckus may have brought it in but another zombie came into the buildings. While Matt stabbed the zombie in the throat the other one jumped at him and tried to bite a chunk out of his arm. Luckily for Matt the armor stopped it from breaking his skin. He then grabbed its arm and flipped it over him onto the floor.
He then ran into a corner to grab something to looked like a pipe. As he reached for it the zombie the he stabbed grabbed him from behind and tried to bite into his shoulder. Again luckily for him the armor stopped the zombie. He then hit it with his elbows and grabbed his knife as the zombie went backward a little. He then shoved it into the zombies head and pushed it back. Matt then grabbed the pipe as the two zombies started to come after him. He swung the pipe as hard as he could and one zombie was decayed enough for him to knock off its head while the other was just knocked down. Matt the ran over to where his helmet was and picked it up. The zombie then got up and charged him. Matt pushed at the zombie with his helmet and knocked it down. He then got on top of the zombie and started bashing it in the head with it.
"Die..you...stupid....mother....f**king....peice....of....s***", Matt said while he was bashing the zombies head in with the helmet. The zombie quit moving and there was gore all over the floor when Matt dropped his helmet to the floor. He thought that the blood would cover the Umbrella symbol on the helmet but it didn't as the blood ran off of it onto the floor. Matt walked over to the other zombies head and grabbed his knife. He then started going up the stairs with blood splattered all over him.

Russell watched as Matt fell two floors down after the rope broke. The sight of the man smashing his head and landing on his side seemed enough to kill him. Russell rushed out of the room and down the flight of stairs skipping three to four steps at a time. Russell came down to the bottom of the steps to hear the yelling of Matt at a zombie. Russell walked into the room to see an injured and angry Matt. Matt was knelt over the body with blood and gore all over him. His clothing being covered in brain matter and the zombies head was flattened.
Then something caught Russell's eye. The Umbrella logo on Matt's helmet. It had been covered up with paint but the fall must've scrapped some away. Russell just stared at Matt for a minute, going through his thoughts, weighing out his options.
"What the f**k is that?" Russell asked, referencing the logo on Matt's helmet.

Matt stood there in shock. Half of it probably being that he saw the Umbrella symbol and the other half that he might tell Tricell. Matt stood there thinking out his options and counted his chances. They all seem to be all out of his favors and in Russell's. Matt put his knife on the floor so that he wouldn't give Russell any reason to shoot. He then said, "Just don't tell Tricell. I don't feel like dying yet." He looked down and then looked outside. "If it will make it all better I'll start walking and you'll never see me again. If that helps." Matt's mind was racing he never had a life or death situation like this before. He then looked at Russell and said, "But I'll just let you know all it was was a job. that was it and no more."

"Don't leave without explaining it. Why do you have an Umbrella logo on your helmet? What are you here to do? Should I put a few in you right now?" Russell drilled Matt with questions. His gun was now raised and pointed right at Matt. Russell wasn't afraid of killing but they each owed each other a lot. Each one had saved the other or helped save another. Russell wasn't a cold person so he would give Matt a chance.

Matt looked at Russell and sighed. He figured if he survived the exterminations after the first incident then he was pretty sure he would survive this on. "Okay if you really want to know then I'll tell you. My father was a research assistant in the Arkay Mountains Facility. At the time I was in the U.B.C.S. When the incident with the Raccoon City Incident happened I was sent in to find survivors and evac them from the city. On that mission I barely survived and my unit was slaughtered." Matt paused a little as he started to remember the men from his unit. "We were successful in saving some people but not enough to make a difference. I guess for surviving they moved me up the branches of the defense forces. A year before Umbrella was brought to its knees and killed was when I got moved up to Centurion. Which is an elite group of defense troops."
Matt turned his head from looking at the ground and said, "That is when the extermination of anything Umbrella started. I survived it by going under ground and hiding. After a couple of years later I came out of hiding and became a mercenary. After getting enough contracts done I started wearing my centurion gear." He looked down his body and then said, "Which is what you see here. I took off my patches and painted over the symbols on my helmet. A perfect hiding spot which has kept me hidden for years. Until now." He looked up at Russell and saw Ulrich up the stairs behind him. There was no doubt in his mind that he too had heard what Matt had said. "At first I was a little hesitant at accepting a contract with Tricell. Because well after all they are leading the hunt for ex-Umbrella employees. I also know that it is most likely that if I even get caught by Tricell that they are going to kill me on the spot."
"Let alone any other survivor that is there." Matt then picked his helmet up and knife. He then up the knife back in the holster and then said, "Now if you trust me enough can I walk up and get my pistol?" He stood there looking at Russell. Wondering what he is going to do or what he is going to say. He also looked up the stairs at Ulrich and wondered what is he going to say. "I also hope that that answers your question."

What Matt didn't notice was the deft movements of pen and paper. Ulrich was taking notes. Not allowing his thoughts to go to his benefactors, he continued to write what he could. Though Matt was becoming more a friend than anything, Ulrich had his own plans. He stepped out off the staircase, not pointing his gun at Russell. He didn't neccessarily care as much as Russell did, so felt no need in causing the issue himself. He did, much to the disbelief of the two, throw Matt's weapon in between both Russell and Matt.
While Russell had rushed down to assist Matt, Ulrich ran up the stairs a floor and took the weapon laying nearest the edge. It was unfortunate that they did not notice that the platform was easy enough to walk across to, but it could not be changed. After retrieving the weapon, he took a moment to study the monster still laying across the street. It appeared stunted, but perhaps not dead. With that, he turned and rushed back downstairs.
After listening to part of the conversation and not bothering to conceal himself, Ulrich stepped out to include hismelf further via the revolver thrown. He smirked to Matt slyly and said, "Well, I don't have any problem with him staying with us." He then turned to Russell and said, "Besides, you and I both know we can turn and shoot probably a thousand times faster than he can plan. What're you so afraid of? Take a chance. Besides, judging by our odds with that previous monster, I don't think we can handle ourselves jsut two and one on their own."

Russell stood there and weighed his odds. He knew that Matt and Ulrich had formed a bond, which may have been a bad thing if Russell decided against their wishes. Yet Russell was under total control of Tricell. They could kill him and no one would blink twice.
"I don't think you guys understand. If Tricell finds out about you and us keeping it a secret we are all dead. They will do worse to me since I am supposed to follow out their laws. I am a slave to the company and they run most of the world now. So I am pitted between you and a multibillion dollar and million soldier corporation. They can and most likely will hunt us down if we run, if they find out." Russell told the other two. "You have to dispose of that helmet and no one said a damn word. But remember, I didn't know anything about it if they question you."

"Well I'll be dead anyway if Tricell enters Rockford Island an looks at terminal 12. Then go down to file 246. However I do see them doing that since they don't have a reason to...yet." Matt picked his pistol up off the ground. "That is also why I didn't wear my gear into the Tricell facility. I would be my luck that someone that used to work for Umbrella sneaked their way into Tricell and recognized the stuff. Then they'll might tell off on me." Matt put the pistol back into the holster. "That is why I told you that I'd walk and you won't see me again. Because you work for Tricell. Sure you could probably run but where to? Germany? France? The Arkay Mountains? Tricell doesn't control all of the airports. But I'm not giving you the option to run." Matt looked at both of them and stood there for a second. "But the way I see it is that the best way is for me not to go back. You can tell them that I died."
Matt's face then got a puzzled look as he saw that idea fall to pieces. "Never mind because then you'd have to file a mission report about and put in detail how I died. Then they would send a body snatcher team to make sure I died if they thought something was up and then it would snowball into a big mess." Matt went over to a small pile of stones and sat there thinking on how he could do this without getting any of them killed.

Ulrich stepped over the body of the zombie. He was pacing the room. "Or...we could get what we were sent to find. Maybe it`s still here, we just aren`t looking hard enough... Come on guys, we all know any man worth their salt can hold their own anyways, but if we get ahold of this piece, maybe we`d become untouchable. So what if Tricell owns much. Maybe this piece can very well change things for the better for us..." Ulrich knew better to think like that, but he knew he could be right. Tricell entrusted them and their confidentiality. Unfortunately, big conglomerates weren`t smart enough to realize that you couldn`t always keep tabs on everyone. Ulrich was a testament to that.
"And besides, I really don`t see an alternative. I suggest we make a decision.

"So basically we get what we where suppose to find and keep it from Tricell? That is what you said right." Matt said as he looked up at Ulrich. "That might keep them away from us for a little bit if we decide to threaten them with it. Then they would destroy most of their troop numbers by dropping them into the city after us. However we would probably already be out of the city hopfully and then they would waste people for nothing." Matt's head was swriling with ideas after hearing what Ulrich said. He stood up and looked at Russell. He then looked at his gun and then back at him. "Russell I know that you might think that this is going to be suicide but it'll work if we can pull it off just right. Also could you please lower your gun." Matt Then turned to where he could look at both of them and then said, "So what do you all think about that ideal?"

Russell looked down and realized that he still had the gun raised and lowered it. Russell liked these ideas because it could mean keeping friends, which he hadnt had in a long time. Russell nodded at the ideas and looked to the other two. His PDA was still on and he knew Tricell was either tracking him through it or they could if they wanted to track him down. "Why not stay in the city and use it for guerrilla tactics and mow down there numbers using the zombies to help. Set traps, shoot them from the roof tops, figure out how to make them run into a horde. Anything could work." Russell said shooting out ideas to the other german, war hardened mercenaries.
