The ruins of a once-great Library of Raccoon City. This was the site of a controlled demolition by the military. They managed to stock a good forty or fifty shamblers within and decided to set up a C-4 detonation around the building and obliterated it, ripping it to shreds and disintegrating all the literature and bodies within. It's nothing but a pile of rubble and burnt and torched papers and wood. There's nothing of interest here except lumber and possibly an improvised weapon or two.

Louis drove past all the wreckage on the streets. He tend to ignore the chaos, its nothing he hadnt seen before. This outbreak was much like the first one, only he was pretty certain we were more prepared for it this time around. "The first outbreak, nobody knew what the hell was going on... People screaming in fear, fear of there own loved ones. But this time seems so, normal. Ive gotten used to the fact that everyone is dying, but if you wanna know the hard truth..." Louis focused on the road, but he couldnt help but see each and every undead, wanting to just put a bullet in theyre head. But stopping wouldnt be the best option, and wouldnt get them closer to there own safety.
"Before any of this happened, people slaughtered people, all over the world, in every country... I see no difference between those savage zombies, compared to the savage in every one of us. Have you ever had that feeling of hate for someone? It stronger then your will can handle, its just always there, pulsing through your blood..." Louis thought back to the first outbreak, and then thought of all the people he had killed. They were still people, in a sense, savage people owned by rage and the strength to kill another man. Louis turned one last corner, and then was convinced they were at the library. But what was left of it, wasnt anything at all but a pile of rubble. Parking the SUV close as he could, Louis sighed. "Nothing changed... To answer your question. Now, should we search the remains? ...I wonder what happened to this place..."

Andreya sighed as she looked at the ruined building. She shook her head as she climbed out of the car. Her mind traveled back to the explosion she heard earlier when she was still at the collage. Walking up to the building she kicked a piece of the rubble out of the way. It seemed that she had just lead them way out of the way of his friend. All for a map that was useless to them. Stepping over the pile of rubble, being careful as she did. She wasn't built like other people she wasn't as healthy as they were. Her bones were brittle almost as bad as her health alone. She had to be careful in things she did in life, never being able to fully enjoy what life had to offer, but she was alive and that's all that mattered to her.
There was an explosion not even 10 feet away from her. Andreya cried out as she was thrown forward. Just as she hit a pile of rubble it gave way, and she fell into a hidden room. She turned back just as the rubble caved in blocking all means of escape, and leaving the room pitch black. When she tried to push herself up she cried again as she felt a sharp pain in her right arm. When she brought her hand up to her arm, she could instantly tell that she had broken it when she landed. Tears streamed down her face as she realized how much trouble she was brining to Louis. It was one thing right after another. She wiped the tears from her eyes as she went to stand feeling another stinging in her right leg. With her good hand she reached over feeling the blood and the large gash that ranged from her hip to her knee.
She sighed heavily as she laid back on the ground looking up into the darkness. Nearly jumping out of her skin when she heard something shifting in the darkness. "H- hello?" she asked in a quivering voice as she sat up, and tried to back away from the sound. Then she heard another, and then another. It sounded like something was surrounding her. Her heart pounding as she sat there in the middle of the room. "LOUIS!!!" she screamed out almost busting out into tears as fear over came her. An undenounced to Louis of the remaining three undetonated charges hidden within the rubble, at one time dudes but some how finding new life after several hours of being left alone.

Louis instantly sifted through the large chunks of wood, stone, and metal, hurling them off onto the sides. He could easily tell the fresh peices for them old ones, as they were the ones that wouldve fallen to block Andreya inside. He knew that the C4 explosion was loud enough to be heard from quite a long distance away from here, and that any undead in earshot would be onto them quickly. After clearing away just enough of the blockage to drop something down, he cracked lit a yellow glowstick, and slipped it inside. Not 15 seconds after, the opening was big enough for Louis to grab Andreya. But then he saw all of the undead marching toward them from the streets, as He jumped down inside the place himself.
Landing down inside the dimly lit area, he searched for Andreya. She called out to him again, and then Louis found he over on the ground. Before he could open his mouth, he heard several small C4 charges go off above them, now finally blocking them both inside. "Were safer down here, all the infected within a quarter mile would be swarming this place within five minuits... Are you alright?" Louis noticed she was holding her arm, and then saw the blood near her leg. The glowstick made enough light to see pretty clearly. He heard Andreya open her mouth, an appology was about to follow, but then silenced. "Sorry isnt getting us out of here... I have this thing for a reason."
Taking out a small pouch from his coat, Louis layed it beside Andreya. Then grabbing the glowstick, he put it inside her hand. He kept these things for emergencies, but he had no clue how to use them. Work always covered his medical, whatever the problem may be. He did however, unzip the bag and lay things out for her, making it easier to find what was needed. "Sorry, im not a docter. You probably know more then I do. Use everything you need in here, I dont need it, you do. Im gonna go check this place out, make sure we arent at risk of an attack..." Louis hate to just leave Andreya to help herself, but if anything happened to them down here, it would be his fault for not clearing the place out.
Louis gave a brave nod, as if to tell her she would be fine, and then pulled out a small LED flashlight. There was a little spot under his gun to attach it, as he always did in dark areas. The majority of the time one would get themselves cause in a blinded situation like this, danger was always just ahead of them. This little underground room was mainly created by accedent, just a single part of the library that wasnt effected as much, retaining most of its shape. But the blackened walls made it obvious that everything was still burned in the flames, incinerating everything that was inside at the time. There wasnt much, but a slight echo did drive down the section. Once Louis kept still, he could hear the faint sounds of movement.
The smell of burnt flesh grew stronger and stronger everytime he advanced. Until finally, through his powerful light, he saw two corpses moving toward him, stomachs pressed against the ground. They didnt have any legs left to stand up, only simple arms to drag them slowely closer to a meal. Without even backing away, Louids let one of them grab his leg, trying to pull closer for a bite. But he quickly rose his leg up, and sent it downward fiercefully, crushing the undeads skull into three peices. Now just stepping onto the other, he applied enough weight onto its neck until he heard a snap. Pushing them over against the sides with his foot, Louis contenued onward. But when he got to a dead end, he turned up, looking at what was left of the ceiling. Small drips of moonlight shown through, it was definitly a way out.
Along the walk back, he was much quicker, knowing that nothing would stand in his way. He would have searched the corpses for anything useful, but most of its cloths had been burned away, leaving nothing to salvage out but a crusty belt buckle. Finally arriving back at the entrance, Louis took off his coat, and wrapped it over Andreya "Here kiddo... Use this. Itll keep you warm..." He flicked off his LED light, and set the .45 inside his pants pocket. All they could really do now was wait for the undead to leave the ruins above them, or at least make it back to the SUV. Louis would be able to get them out of here, that is, if they had something to blast them through.

Andreya looked up at Louis walked away. Just a small light giving way to her surrounding area. It wasn't helping her much, she was deathly terrified of what she couldn't see. Andreya bit her lip as she watched Louis disappear into the dark. She waved her light over the medical supplies. She smiled as she started to use the supplies to clean her wound and then wrapped her leg up as best as she could. One hand was making it difficult, and she flinched in pain as she shifted the wrong way causing pain to shot threw her arm. She had to fix that when Louis came back. In the process she finished wrapping her leg just as she heard footsteps.
She shifted slightly as she raised her lite only to see that it was Louis. She sighed with relief as he draped his coat over her. "Y- your going to have to s- set my arm," she said lightly as she looked up at him. "I- I can't be of any use to y- you if my arm is broken," she said lightly. She looked down at her arm and sighed again. This was going to hurt and a lot at that. She bit her lip as she pointed at her arm. "G- grab it j- just above and b- below the break, and p- pull hard. W- when you set it m- make sure that it f- fells smooth. Anything e- else will mean that it will c- cut against the skin and c- cause more problems," she explained.

Louis looked at Andreya, and then thought she was joking. He had only done this once before, and it for his own arm, not for someone elses. He cleared his throat, and then gently held Andreyas wrist, moving the glowstick slowely up and down her arm. It looked pretty decent, but still, it wasnt something he wanted to be do. One wrong twist and it was all over, and he was already sweating on the back of his neck from the tension. The glowstick was hovering over him, creating enough light, as Louis slowely grabbed Andreyas arm. Before doing anything, he nodded towards the collar of his leather coat. "Bite down on it... Just trust me... This is going to... Really, really hurt... And you have to promise me you wont scream... Ill count..."
Louis watched as Andreya grabbed his coat with her teeth, she was shaking, he could feel it. But this had to be done quickly, the longer he either of them wait. Louis opened his mouth, ready to count. Andreya was already tightly biting down on his coat, and squeezing her eyes shut. "Ok, ready? Five... Four... Three... T-" But before Louis finished 'two', he closed his eyes, and jerked Andreyas arm tightly, hearing the bone snap back into place. He opened his eyes lightly, hearing Andreya scream into the coat. Louis wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back, as the muffle screaming stopped. This was something he never wanted to do again. He quietly spoke to Andreya, frowning. "Its ok, its ok.......... Now ya got me feeling bad..."

Andreya smiled weakly as she opened her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder. "I- It had t- to be done," she spoke with a raspy voice. She closed her eyes as she panted heavily knowing well enough that her inhaler was still in the jeep along with her backpack. "Y- you have one of the e- explosive vials I g- gave you." she said as she pulled back a bit dizzily. She looked up at him with a weak smile as she held her arm tightly absently in hopes that the pain would go away. She looked around for the rest of the bandages wrapping her arm up, to hold the bone in place when she moved. "I- if we had a w- way to get up you c- could use that and make a new door," she said with a weak laugh.
She looked up at Louis and nodded slightly. "Thank you. That would cause me a lot of problems if we continued," she said as she stood up staggering a bit before she rested against the wall. Andreya sighed heavily as she tried her best to control her breathing. Though her eyes were evident that the fear was running threw her body. "W- we need to find a w- way out of here," she said as she slid down the wall, and rested her head back up against it.

Louis lifted part of his coat from Andreya, and then grabbed one molotov cocktail, along with the explosive mixture she had given him. The kerosine was pretty old, and wouldnt interfere with whatever was inside the mixture, so he opened them both up and mixed everyone into the bottle. Corking it off, he soaked the rag in the kerosine alone before, so it gave it about a twenty second burn until the fire ignited. Not that he was doubting the explosive power created by Andreya, what he did doubt was that it would blast through the thick cover over them right now. But the bit of wreckage far down the tunnel would be perfect for an entrance up to the surface. "Can you be a good girl and stay here for about... Ten minuits?"Louis didnt give Andreya a choice, besides, she was perfectly safe down here. He took the lighter from his pocket, and lit the bomb in his hands infront of them. Sprinting down the tunnel, he lobbed the bottle up against the ceiling, exploding upon impact with the hard surface. After the dust cleared, Louis jumped up, and then lifted his body into the open through the large hole. Running past a small group of zombies, he jumpd into the SUV, turning it on. Now driving over the wreckage would be a hard bit. First, he slammed down the gas, and piled through the undead, killing them instantly, or at least leaving each bone broken. Slowely driving over the wreckage, he stopped near the newely built hole, and then got out after grabbing Andreyas enhaler. Jumping down the hole, Louis jogged back to her location, and then passed her the medical device. Without even giving her chance to talk, he picked her up along with the coat, holding her in both arms. She was a fairly small girl, and there was no time to waste. Making there was to the hole, Louis let her down, and then he got down on one knee. "Climb onto my back, and ill raise up to the surface... The SUV is right there, get in and sit tight." Andreya got onto his back, and then Louis lifted her up onto the ground above. After this, he pulled himself up, rolling onto the concrete. Getting inside the vehicle, he drove over the piles of debris, and back onto the road. "How about... City Hall? Its bound to have info about the city..."[Louis and Andreya now in City Hall]

*Ulrich, Matt and Russell are now in the Library Ruins...sort of lol*
As the chopper passed over much of the city, Ulrich paid a quick glance out the window. They were five thousand feet above the city, scanning what was left of it. Hard to believe this destruction still existed. It appeared Raccoon was not an easy city to wipe out completely, as weapon fire was spotted all over the city from many different forms.
Their objective was clear for the most part. Find the safe in which some scientist had hid his journal entries, head to the safe point and call for another chopper. The only problem was, the safe point was near the other end of town and it was just the three mercs going in. Ulrich didn't understand it but he didn't get paid to understand things. And getting paid was more important than speaking out against the way Tricell did things. As they began to touch down near the Library where the safe was said to be, Ulrich nodded to his comrades. He wondered if they were ready. This was his first time in Raccoon but not his first time dealing with the dead. No matter, is focus was the task at hand. Once again he shook his head to pay attention. This was his dream, going into Raccoon, in a matter of speaking.
Ulrich had always believed that he was smarter than most of the survivors of Raccoon during the first time around. He had heard how they suffered, heard their stories on the news and so on, but he thought it was pathetic. Ulrich had believed he would come out unscathed from Raccoon, and now was his chance to prove it. Sure, things'd be different, but it didn't matter. He'd still be able to prove his point.
As they stepped out of the 'copter, Ulrich turned to the team leader for the flight there and asked him if they would be getting any extra supplies. A pathetic grunt was all he recieved from the balding man. He was a putrid looking soldier, he clearly had issues breathing. The sweat and grime running off his skin looked as if though he would explode into a ball of flame due to combustion. The man looked to be in his late 50s, apparently not having the good sense to quit while he was ahead. No matter. If he died, Ulrich imagined no one would care too much. Surely no one would care to bear children with this pathetic man.
After a quick search revealed they had landed across the street from their destination, Ulrich lifted his head towards the ruins, signifying to the others where they had to go. A quick check with their map had confirmed this. They ran across the street and into the barren wasteland that was once one of Raccoon's finest libraries. The place, naturally deserted, was in pieces, in part by the C4 and in part by the various forms of destruction due to the witnesses. Many a corpse littered the floors in various pieces. Ulrich was in no way a philosopher, but he wondered as to how many stories had been liked away by these now dead. So many things to tell us that they can no longer do so... Ulrich always had a thing for learning.
*Okay, now Ulrich, Matt and Russell are actually in the Library lol*
They stepped through the main door, much of it ironically intact. It was as empty, dull and grey like the rest of it and yet it seemed to hold more life. Maybe it was because it was not open like the rest of it. Zombies littered the floor here too, some still wandering, perhaps looking for some surviving meat to feed on. They lay dead forever moments later as Ulrich, Matt and Russell cleared the room. When they had finished, they relaxed. Ulrich turned to Russell and asked, "Don't suppose you'd know where to start looking... You are the one supposed to be in charge, so what's the plan, sir..." Ulrich was clearly unimpressed. He was not one to take orders from anyone, regardless of pay.

Matt stood there after hearing Ulrich he looked at Russell. Waiting on an answer or not Matt knew that waiting here would more quickly have them surrounded by the zombies and whatever else was out side. He had put on his gear before take off and so he was a little bit more secure. He kept it in good condition that the body armor on it still held its own against bullets and infected. He turned on the night vision on in his helmet. He then decided to quickly take point at some openings to make sure no infected would get the jump on them. He would look ever his shoulder every once in a while to see if Russell had give them the orders. He really wasn't trying to say anything on this mission since he has been getting hit with flash backs ever since they got here.
He cocked his M-tar and put it on auto so he could burst fire. He then unsnapped a buckle that was keeping one of his mag pouches closed. He then manually typed in Ulrich's, Russell's and his names. He then did a scan on them and him and on his helmet screen a health system popped up for each of them. On the bottom of his screen a system full popped up in red letters. Matt thought to himself, "Damn. Now I cant activate anything else." He looked over at them to still see if any orders had been said.

(OOC: Just so you guys know, I didn't know this had started haha)
It was no surprise that Tricell would put him in charge of the two mercs since he was the one that was one of Tricells own. The helicopter touched down and they were inside of the building clearing it in a matter of seconds. Russell had changed his sun glasses that he had on in Africa for a pair of goggles and had a drill on his belt for when they cracked the safe. They were pulled up so he could see. The city was colder than it was in Africa but Russell still wore the same clothing. Seeming totally unaffected by the climate change.
As soon as the building had been cleared, Ulrich asked for orders. Taken aback by the cyborg look of Matt for a second it took him a few to answer the question until finally Matt was done messing with his gear.
"So I got command over you two rugrats?" Laughed Russell "Well lets start on the floor we are on. Sounds simple enough. The intel said it was in a safe, so lets check back rooks and behind desks. No need to split up. God forbid one of us gets hurt" Russell finished. Russell pulled the AK 47 up and rested it on his shoulder as he stepped on or between bodies looking for a back room.

Matt crouched walked over to the remains of the first desk. He looked behind him to make sure that he was still in sight of Ulrich and Russell. He then proceed to flip the desk over so he would have to take the risk of walking around it and leaving his back exposed. As he did it made a echoing thud on the rubble. He looked toward what remained of some doorways that were close to him. He stood there for a second and then looked at the area in front of his feet to see if he could see any traces of a safe in the trash, ruble, and dust. He dug in the rubble for two minutes until all he found where human remains. He then stood up and looked around to see if there where any other desk.

Ulrich searched the area around them in general, noting again the deep, dark dankness. UMP raised, he scanned the room, looking for any signs of life – or unlife, whatever the case may be. He noted the desk which Matt had overturned as well as the large number of lockers lining the walls. They were not very large – three boxes high, made of some generic composite of metal and painted a very generic green. He checked them, opening them part way and checking to see them each empty, devoid of anything important to their cause.
As he finished searching his end, noting that the other had finished their own, he pointed down the hallway towards the other rooms, signaling to them more rooms which needed checking. He walked down the hall on point; checking the rooms as he passed them, metaphorically dropping them off at each room. He stepped to the third room’s door which appeared to be an office of someone who had abandoned it long ago. He pushed the door open with his elbow and stepped in.
He scanned the room as the beams of light brightened the room, random dust particles floating where the beams had appeared. The room was also gray and lifeless. There appeared to be nothing that really stuck out. He scanned the room, turning his flashlight on; it was not very dark, but he could still see better with the light on. As he scanned the room, searching the desk drawers and other spots of interest around the room. The search ultimately led to nothing.
(I’ll let the last person to post step outta the room and call everyone back)

With the AK 47 held at his waste for a more spraying affect, the crazy man kicked open the door. The door flung open, slammed into the wall and then the hinges broke from the wall, making the door fly across the room. Nothing made noise, and nothing moved in the dark room. Russell walked into the room and looked through the shelf that lined one wall. With his flashlight held high he read each of the labels on files and spines of books but nothing appeared to be what he looked for.
He turned his attention then turned towards the desk most of the draws were lock which was not a problem. Russell just used the drill to break the locks on the desk. There wasn't anything important in the desk though. Some documents, a wallet with now no money in it and an ID for some Joe Smoe, and a few books. "Of course this place HAS to be full of books" said Russell to himself. As he was heading out something caught his attention. The door had been resting on a little home security safe in the corner of the room. Russell picked up the door and threw it across the room. It was just one of the fire proof home safes, which Russell knew how to crack. With a few whirls of the drill and a little prying, Russell opened it. He dug through like a kid in a candy shop told only to get one thing, looking for the thing that was important.
After hitting the bottom of the safe, Rusell yelled at curse at the top of his lungs. "Is it even f**king here?" he yelled to the others.

Matt walked up to his door with his M-tar slung and his 357. in his hand. He noticed that the glass to the room had been knocked out in some spots and that he could easily reach over and turn the door knob. He looked through the holes and decided that it was clear and reached over and turned the knob. The door opened with a creak and fell to the floor with a bang as if no hinges were on it at all. He proceeded to the desk area and started looking. He pull out the large draws on the sides of the desk. He then heard what sounded like Russell to him: "Is it even f**king here?"
Matt the yelled out, "I have no idea but if it even is i'm pretty sure it is rubble. Just like the rest of this place." He went toward the back of the room and looked out a broken window. He then saw what looked to him a wave of undead in the street. He then yelled while going back into the hall: "I do however think that we have probably over stayed our welcome. Would it be a good idea to go ahead and check what remains of up stairs before we get over ran."
