"Ow. She's got quite the throw."
Malcom struggled up, holstering his gun and pulling his sword from his belt, still sheathed as he didn't want to kill Elijah until they worked out what was going on. He swung at her several times, she dodged almost all blows before catching the weapon and using it to throw him again. He landed on the roulette table this time, knocking his shoulder. Elijah followed him up onto the table and attempted to drive a kick through his head. He rolled aside letting her get stuck in the table, rolling for cover as she tried to pull loose. Mal grabbed his radio.
"Rio, don't know if you're hearing this but Elijah might be trying to kill us, symptoms started with a headache so I need you to check for any weird com transmissions, broadcasts, or gas dispersing devices that might have affected her."
He was cut off as Elijah found him again, tipping a row of arcade cabinets over onto him, pinning him under pac-man.
"Damn little yellow....Dan? Little backup?"

Daniel hadn’t even gripped what had just happened as he sailed through the wall. Like an exclamation point to slam into his head what was occurring, he hit the wall with great force. Thumping unceremoniously to the ground, he groaned in pain and reached for his rifle. It was across the room. He pulled his 1911 from its holster only to sigh and slide it back in. He’d seen this before. Friendly turned unfriendly for absolutely no reason. The bad guys he’d fought against when he was a NADAS agent used tactics like that. And Sincell seemed to be in the same tier as those a**holes.
He stood up with another groan as he watched Malcolm sail across the room for a second time. It didn’t matter if she was turning on them of her own accord or not, she had to be subdued. And he’d learned enough to know that someone like her didn’t injure easily. No need to hold back.
He took up a defensive stance and let her come to him. She threw a punch, and he dipped under it easily enough. He had to stop the instinctive one two to the jaw that he was so accustomed to throwing and instead grabbed her wrist. He ducked down and twisted her arm. He moved behind her and pinned it against her back. As her other hand reached back to try to throw him off, he hooked his left arm at her elbow and grabbed the back of her neck with his left hand. With any normal person, this allowed for complete control and detention. With her… probably not. He just hoped he could hold it long enough for someone to either get some information or do something else.

Elijha growled slightly as Daniel held her. Her mind was foggy as she tried to think things through, but all she could see was the blinding pain that coursed threw her head. She slammed her back, and Daniel into the wall. This gave her enough opportunity to adjust herself even more. She was about to bring her elbow around to hit Daniel in the face, but instead grunted and doubled over as Riko struck her in the stomach with the butt of his rifle. He then struck her against the side of the head causing her to collapse to the ground.
She cried out slightly as she hit the ground holding the side of her head. Riko instantly turned his weapon around and cocked it. "I'm not sure about the others, but I wont hesitate to shoot you," he growled as his finger slightly tested the trigger of his weapon.

Daniel groaned, stumbling a bit as he tried to recover from the slam against the wall. She’d put quite the force behind it. He was surprised he didn’t have any broken bones. He stood up and started moving toward Malcolm, grabbing an edge of the arcade machine and lifting with a grunt. It wasn’t all that heavy, but he felt a stab of pain in his shoulder as he lifted. He fought through it, and with Malcolm’s help, stood the machine up.
He helped the engineer to his feet and walked over to Elijha and Riko. He didn’t move Riko’s gun away, but he dropped to a knee and grabbed her wrists. He tied them behind her back and hauled her to her feet.
“I don’t know what’s going on with her, but I have a feeling it wasn’t her choice to do any of that.” He said. He’d seen people go apes*** like this before. Out of nowhere, and come to find out it wasn’t their choice. Seemed like an everyday thing back in NADAS. “Malcolm, get on the radio and try to get Rio back. She probably has something for us that got cut off.” He said. It had sounded like she was trying to warn them of something.

"Thanks for the assist man."
Malcom gathered the equipment he had dropped during the fight, thankfully nothing looked damaged aside from minor scratches. He tried the radio again getting nothing but interference.
"Damn, I think whatever is going on, we're being jammed as well. I'm beginning to think this is all some big setup or ambush."
He switched over to the secondary channel and tried again.
"Rio, I don't know if you're picking this up, but there is some kind of jamming going on and Elijah just tried to bump us off, she might have been drugged somehow, not sure yet. I'll need you to check for any local interference and mark the source on my gps. I'm sending these instructions to your email in case this isn't going through. Over."
He clipped the radio onto his belt again and sent the same message as an audio file through his PDA, then met with Daniel next to the restrained Elijah, lowering Rikos gun for him.
"So, is she still trying to kill us?"

Rio had known something was wrong. The partial transmission earlier from Malcom had given her that much. Only a few words, but other than that nothing more. Since that time she had spent it trying to figure out what was going on. She had come up with a high frequency interruption device of some sort, but it had something hidden within the waves. A coding system of some sort. It would take her a bit longer to figure out what that message was, but in the mean time she had figured out how to block out the frequency using the satellites themselves.
--------------------
Malcom's radio blared to life. For a moment there was quite a bit of static before Rio's voice came over. "Hey hope everyone's well. Your last transmission got me looking only to find that someone was disrupting the frequency's, but what is odd there is a hidden coding system inside of it. I managed to knock out the signal using the satellites, and next time it happens I will be quicker. As for Elijha I can't really tell you unless I seen her face to face. Right now restrain her if you can, and bring her back. We need to figure out what were up against before we truly take any steps forward," she pointed out. "Though that's your decision. Let me know."
Elijha looked at the ground with a bit of distance showing in her eyes. It was almost like she wasn't really there, conscious yes, but mentally there no. Her body swayed slightly as the foggy haze in her mind continued to swirl. She wasn't violent anymore, more submissive and absent.

"Right, we'll be back over there soon, just keep an eye out for anything crazy and give us a heads up, we're going to be shorthanded on the way back."
Mal handed Riko his revolver, since Daniel seemed to have enough of his preferred guns already, whilst hooking his sword onto his belt. Picking Elijah up and throwing her over his shoulder he carried her towards the door. From the look of her she might not be up for running if they needed to make a retreat.
"Okay, Danny watch ahead, Riko behind and we'll get back to the library to reorganise, sound good?"

“Right.” Daniel said, walking over to his rifle and picking it up off the ground. He checked it over for a moment, making sure it wasn’t broken, and put the sling over his head and right shoulder. He set the stock to his shoulder and moved to the door. Opening it slowly, he aimed out the whole time, checking to see if anyone was out there yet. Didn’t look like it. Seemed like they’d tried to use Elijha to do them in, save their own manpower. Smart idea, even though it didn’t work.
“Clear.” He said quietly, using caution even though there was no seeable threat in the area. This place had the makings for an ambush from the beginning. He’d gotten this far alive by checking everything, no matter how small or how safe it seemed.
The trip back to the library didn’t take long. The arcade was only a few blocks away. Daniel was thankful for that. He didn’t want to think what would have happened if they had gone a mile or two away. Would they have made it back before Elijha broke free and tried to kill them again? Would she succeed, or would they have to kill her? He shoved the thoughts from his mind as they entered the first floor of the library, ascending the stairs and being met by the guards Rio had with her.
Daniel took a seat at the table and sighed. “So what’s up?” He asked, looking at Rio.

Rio didn't say anything as the others walked into the room. She continued to type away at the computer. After Malcom sat Elijha against the wall she used the table to help her to her feet. "Sorry still having problems," she said. She walked over to Elijha and knelt down. "There using a high frequency that can alter the mind." She turned to the Captain and smiled. "Can you and your men exit the room for a bit. I already know that this wont affect Daneil and Malcom."
"And you?" he asked with a bit of concern.
"If it affects me then at the moment I don't think I'll be to much of a threat to the two of them," she pointed out.
"Alright, everyone out. We'll cover the building till there done."
Rio made sure that the Captain and the others were out of ear shot before she spoke up. "I did some searching once you got in contact with me again. There using a high frequency that only affects a certain part of the brain. Though it doesn't really control them unless there's a bit of help." She ran her hand threw Elijha's hair before pulling her head down and parting her hair. "I'm figuring that her father implanted a chip in her brain during her capture." She held up the radio. "Sorry hon this is going to hurt." She looked at the others as she stood up and backed away. "Watch."
When she pushed the button on the radio, their own radio's started to static as before. Elijha cried out and hit her head back against the wall. She continued to scream out for a bit longer before stopping. Her eyes shifting as she fought against the ropes. Rio flipped a channel on the radio and pressed the button again. Elijha quickly settled down resting her head against the wall with her eyes closed. Rio walked over to Elijha and untied her. "When she loses it again, or shows signs. Just click this the mic and it will cancle out the signal." She pointed out as she tossed the radio to Malcom. "Leave it on channel two. Channel one is the frequency that causes her to lose it."
She eased Elijha down to the floor and laid a pillow from one of the sofa's under her head. "Problem is the longer she sufferes from it the harder it is on her. An the truth is it can eventually kill her. It's sending electric currents threw her brain, and can cause serious isses before killing her. So best bet when you see the onsets to go ahead and stop it." She looked back toward Daniel and pointed to the table. "There is a map of the island. Your trouble parts are circled, but the red circle is where you need to go. That is where I'm showing the constant activity, and I do believe the lab is hidden there," she pointed out. "The hospital, leave it up to them to decide to build a lab there."

Malcom followed Rio's quick lesson on the handset double checking it was set for the calm down signal and that the batteries were safetly in, wouldn't do to have it break at a dangerous moment. He slipped it onto the front of his vest and retrieved his handgun from Riko now that he was freed up to fight again.
"Okay, so is Elijah good to travel again or does she need to rest here for a bit?"
After recieving his answer (whatever Reaper says ooc about it) he plugged his PDA into one of the library computers to update his maps. All he had on hand was the Ark Thompson half amnesia tour of the island. The hospital was apparently a major area of the island for other reasons, being the main path between the entertainment district and prison through to the cable car station and paths up the mountain to the main umbrella command centre and staff housing.
"Hmm, well, the hospital has some kind of security gate, probably metal detectors, according to the reports they were set off and attracted lickers, also a Tyrant went through several walls on the upper floor east wing towards the monitor room so everyone watch for faulty wiring or loose debris. Rio, if you can, give us a heads up on any power surges outside those areas incase sincell is trying to jumpstart their own equipment or set up another broadcast point."

Daniel stood next to the table Rio had laid the map out on, studying it intently. After his eyes had scanned it completely, he picked it up and handed it to Malcolm.
“It looks like we can try and avoid all of those problem areas if we take the long way.” He said. The long way being a series of turns and short cuts that would take them the entire opposite way as their goal at times. “If we keep an even pace I’d say that’s an extra two hours. If we go the direct way, we run into two circles. If their duds, were looking at half an hour tops, but we could end running into so much more.” He said.
“What’s our time limit at, Rio?” He asked. In the end, it may depend on how much time they had to burn, weather they got to take the scenic route or not.
-------------------------
“What is this crap anyway?” A nondescript man said, looking down at a plate of food. It looked like oatmeal. Or maybe mashed potatoes. Pudding? Who knew… “Sheesh. Crime against nature, feeding us this stuff.” The man said, poking at it with a fork.
“Jesus, would you quit with your b*tching? Day in and day out, that’s all you ever do, b*tch b*tch b*tch. Its getting annoying.” Another man said. A third man at the table was slightly busy, spooning the brownish grey slush into his mouth. He was quite a bit bigger than the other two, at least a foot taller and a hundred or so pounds heavier. He was clean shaven and bald, with a criss-crossing scar running along the right side of his face. They were all three mercenaries, sitting in the cafeteria of the hospital that Sincell was using as a base. The first to speak stopped his retort to look at the largest man at the table.
“How do you eat that slop, Tyse?” He asked.
“Practice.” Tyson said, scraping his spoon across the dish and finishing the last. He looked at his friend and gestured toward the still full plate. “You gonna eat that?” He asked. The man had been about to slide the plate to Tyson when the intercom system jumped to life.
“All armed personnel to the briefing center.” A voice said simply. Tyson sighed and set his spoon down, standing up from the bench and walking toward the door. Several other men, including the two he had been sitting with, walked out of the room with him.

"It'll take you about an hour and a half to get there on foot, but two hours for safety. Make sure it's clear, and to take into consideration anything that happens dealing with Elijha," she pointed out. She shuffled back to her seat and sat down stiffly. "I want a vacation," she said with a laugh.
"Vacation nothing, I want a break from all this," Riko growled as he looked at Rio.
"Well I was wondering if you lost your voice," Rio said as she looked to the computer.
"Thank you could like work any faster. All your delaying is putting us behind schedule."
"And all your bad mouthing is giving me another headache," Elijha moaned from her position on the floor. She put her hand over her eyes before sitting up.
"How are you feeling," Rio asked before Riko could say anything else.
"Like I was thrown into a dry and left on tumble."
"Yeah, I'm sure the guys say the same about themselves."
"Oh-" she paused again before her eyes widen. "Oh no I'm so sorry," she said as she looked at the others. "I'm really sorry I didn't know what I was doing, and when I did I couldn't stop myself."
"Well you don't have to worry about that anymore. Though I suggest the four of you moving out soon though. Night's going to fall in a couple of hours and you want to be at the hospital by then."

“Don’t worry about it, I’ve been beaten up by people a lot bigger than you.” Daniel said when Elijha revealed she hadn’t been able to control what she was doing. It was by no means a lie. Seemed like he got his ass kicked on a regular basis. And he was the one with the most experience, the most training, the one who was always prepared for just about anything. Where was the logic in that?
“Ya, we’re gone.” He said to Rio. He stood up and slung his rifle over his shoulder, moving it around front. He held it close to his chest, his right hand on the pistol grip, his other just in front of the magazine. He moved to the door and opened it casually, waving the captain back in and waving Malcolm, Riko, and Elijha out. With little more incident, they were out the door and on the way to the hospital.
-------------------------
The briefing room of the hospital was little more than a conference room. It also doubled as the armory. The mercenaries geared up as they got the intel and parameters they needed, a way to cut down time and improve efficiency. Sincell was big on efficiency. A short, slight man with a neat haircut read off orders. He wore an expensive suit and looked like he had saved money by buying a cheap shirt. As he spoke, he pointed out things on maps and blueprints, even pictures of several of the AFDS agents. Riko, Malcolm, Daniel, and Rio’s faces were printed out on eight by twelve sheets of paper. Elijha’s was there, as well. Each were labeled by name and occupation, with some information about them all. Elijha’s name, occupation, and information were missing.
“They are traveling with a bio weapon, for some reason very intelligent. It may even look human, we’re not sure but be weary of all of them. Evidence points to this one, we have the least amount of information on her.” He said, pointing at the picture of Elijha.
“The terrorists are all very well trained, well armed, well prepared for just about anything. We were able to try and send a jamming signal to the B.O.W. but it was disrupted. The signal that disrupted ours was traced back to the old library, here. The side entrance is the best possible way in, its only a few feet from a staircase. Odds are their on the second floor. Their going to split into groups, we spotted a large force. Ten or more hostiles. Up to four, as little as two. Team One will storm the library, eliminate all hostiles but accept surrenders. Team Two will start a sweep of the area, street by street. Team One, your method of insertion is the sewer tunnels to maintain stealth. Team Two, you will patrol in full force. Maybe we can avoid casualties if they see their outnumbered.” The short man said.
“Questions?” He said to the group of men. Tyson shot a glance around the room to see if anyone was going to say anything. No one did. Either the briefing was damn good or they were all eager to get out there and kill a terrorist or two. When none spoke up, the man started naming off rosters for the teams. Team One was five people, one of them Tyson. Team Two was fifteen men. The man dismissed them to go when ready and left the room.
Tyson was just fitting his armor into place. Titanium plating with Dragon Skin under armor and joints. Any slot for a weapon or ammunition was built into the plates. As he got the last buckles synched into place, he started taking weapons from the box in front of him. His two sidearm’s, a main and backup, were quite different. The first, a Desert Eagle. Chambered for .44 magnum and modified with a long barrel slash compensator and extended fifteen round magazines. The other, a Glock 18 machine pistol. No modifications, just a small gun that could empty a thirty three round magazine in about three seconds. He slipped them both into holsters, the Desert Eagle on his right hip, the Glock in a holster on his chest. He filled the slots for magazines and added a large knife to the load out, in a sheath at his left shoulder. He pulled out his primary weapon, a large and highly modified AR 15 model. Most of the plastic parts had been replaced by metal ones. It was welded together mostly, highly reinforced. It fed from a 100 round drum magazine, had an under barrel breeching shotgun, and sported a large shield to provide portable cover in a firefight situation. He slipped a sling over his shoulder, a load bearing strap as he called it, and attached it to the weapon. The sling took the weight of the weapon off of his arms and put it on the shoulders, still leaving him free to aim it freely.
Team One made their way to the garage of the hospital, to the open sewer grate, and into the sewer system, on their way to the library while team Two made their way out into town in force to look for the terrorists known as the AFDS.

Malcom checked in with the captain of the other squad whilst Daniel and Rio got the last of the intel sorted out. If things were to heat up he'd need something with a little more kick to it than the revolver and sword he was carrying. The captain directed him to the squads technicians who were carrying the extra bits and pieces, sadly they couldn't spare any guns but they suggested accesories might even the odds.
"Try these." The first gave Malcom a box of bullets in exchange for the ones he already had. "New thing we put together, kinda like mini WP rounds in .38, they've been tested but that's the only box on the island, mass producing the things is expensive."
"Thanks, fire seems to be the best policy these days, any flashlights?"
The second tech gave him a top mounted light for his revolver with a custom home made attachment system. "Try not to bang it too hard or it'll come apart. Strobe setting is the little red button next to the power switch, click once for a signal light like morse code and such, twice to start it strobing, good for blinding and distracting."
Mal attached the light and loaded the new rounds, making a mental note to talk with these two later, maybe share ideas on AFDS equipment modding. He met back up with Elijah, Riko and Daniel as they were leaving. Starting off towards the hospital via the long route they'd decided on.
"Good to roll out, shall we mosey before scumcell starts thinking we've chickened out?"

Elijha nodded as she took up between the group. Riko giving one last glare as his sister before taking up the rear. He held his weapon at the ready keeping his eyes on their surroundings as well as Elijha. Since the incident at the arcade he didn't trust her the lest bit. Even though he didn't trust her to begin with. Their trip seemed long and without much problems. It was going to easy for them. Once more they passed by the archade and kept going to the hospital. The trip on foot was a long one, and would probably be completed after night.
---------------------------------------
Rio relaxed a bit at the computer. Her body killing her from the short walking that she did when the others were here. The Captain and the others returned taking up their position along the library.
((Sorry for short post. Not on my A game at the moment.))
