Really... they actually taxed from A Perfect Circle.
a**holes.
So it seems they've implemented Las Plagas into it; probably the least hostile Executioner I've ever seen. The only problem I'm having is with Wesker now being badass... It's gonna end up dragging me to see this movie.

GAWD WHY?! I have never ever liked the films for RE because they were so far from the game you were actually lost while trying to understand how it was RE. I don't understand how the matrix was part of RE, how the world itself died when the game went on to a semi-normal(if you can call it that) existence. The zombies went away and the Las Plagas came. While in the movie the world died and people cloned one woman over and over again? Why? Why in the world did anyone think it was a great idea to take a crippled adaptation of a video game and merge it with another movie?
I am probably gonna end up seeing it on tv(unfortunately) and since I am addicted to all things zombie, I will end up watching the whole thing(unfortunately).

Nomad has a good point.
Umbrella is kinda wasting their time cloning Alice over and over again. It's no like they have any particular buyers, or there are any particular conflicts around the world to even use Bio Weapons in. If Wesker still has ambitions of taking over the world... it's kinda already done.
And, and, if Uroboros somehow makes its way into this too it'll officially be mega stupid cosidering how it's meant to be used. Wow... now that I think of it there seems to be an appeal towards with the use of more game connections. I only hurts the overall product in my opinion.

Okay, the executioner looks pretty much like he's running blind like an infant with a bucket on his head, the plagas, swords and black leather make this look like a blade 2 ripoff, the plane thing was done in 2012, apparently they refilled the oceans from the last movie despite the 'virus having dried everything up' (SCIENCE!) and weskers hair and eyes aren't even subtle colours, even by red demon eye standards.
I'm having flashbacks to the time I watched ultraviolet *breathes into a paper bag* somebody throw way of the dragon into the dvd player!

Honestly, I have to say, despite the number of haters on this site, that the movie looks really good. I try to approach the movies as an alternate universe, and as long as I don't keep thinking, "oh that doesn't look right, and that's not the right person doing that stunt, and that didn't happen like that," I'm fine. True, I do still compare it to the games, but only in a "ooooo! that's exactly like the game!" Which never happens until now. Wesker throws his glasses...makes me wonder if he turns Chris and Claire's arms into a giant pretzel... Regardless, the movie looks good, and I'm glad they're trying to make more of a connection to the games while still keeping their own creative spin. Plus, I heard, HEARD, as in rumor, so don't freak if it turns out to be un-true, that Alice loses her powers, sooooo......yeah, she can't make people's eyes bleed anymore without physically shoving her fingers into them, in theory anyway.
I will admit that Anderson did screw up a bit with the hole clone thing... The only reasoning behind that is to use her blood to find a cure for the virus, which would be kind of pointless unless Wesker plans to administer it to the remaining humans, which doesn't sound like Wesker at all... But, as I said before, I like the movies, and am looking forward to this one very much. Oh, and another thing, Claire actually kinda looks like Claire now, with the red vest and all...
Just felt like the movie could use a little love... Let the hating resume.

I try to approach the movies as an alternate universe You and every other RE movie lover out there. 'Cept for the people who've never play the games. Honestly it's the similarities to the games that actually has me ****ed off the most right now, as in Anderson is trying to appeal, and by doing that he's now garbaged up the story even more in comparison to the games. Which is kinda a catch 22; but considering how disconnected Extinction was, this now feels even more out of place with Las Plagas/Wesker throwing his glasses/ Executioner. Where the hell's the majini with the microphone for gods sake? I'm-dead serious, if Wesker doesn't say "COMPLETE... GLOBAL... SATURATION..." then we're going to have serious problems. But in order to say that we need Uroboros. And as I mentioned, that's f*cking stupid.

I can definitely see your point... Extinction really had nothing to do with the games other than zombies, Umbrella, and some names of characters that acted nothing like their videogame counterparts. I will admit that Las Plagas is kinda coming out of left field, since there was absolutely no mention anywhere before. I can't see anyone finding a file saying they found the parasite in a rock in LA, so Anderson NEEDS to find a sensible way to bring that in to this, but knowing Anderson, it'll just be left as a magic plot hole that the novelization of the film may fill, just like with Jill's random disappearance. So, I will admit that bringing in more connections to games could possibly screw up the already strained plot. But, no matter what I have ever said or will ever say about the movies, I do enjoy them, and as long as they are being made, I'll keep watching them...unless Chris, Claire, and Jill are killed off.
EDIT: I also forgot to mention that "COMPLETE...GLOBAL...SATURATION" is one of my favorite lines in that entire game for reasons even I can't understand... Wesker has provided me and a very select few of my friends with endless amounts of entertainment with that, and "HA! There you are!" Too bad he got his head taken off by rockets...

I saw zombies for like two seconds in the trailer. To be honest this looks like the worst of them all. It'll probably just be all flashy for the 3D and will hardly focus on the storyline.

Yeah, even though I loved the movies (as an alternate universe- that's the only way you should look at it), this next one looks like it's going to be god awful. They're just jumping aboard the 3D bandwagon and turning Alice into a cloned ninja. Though, it would be interesting to see how she fights 10-20 Manjini at a time, like Chris did easily.

KEEEEEEEEEK... That is a really good point Mer; if 20 Majini are a piece of cake for Chris, then why is Alice runnin'. Granted there's no way in hell you'd get through the movie without a scene like that.

Like what Scorpio was saying "Where the f**k did the water come from" I agree. I wish Capcom kept George A. Romero as director but however they didn't like his script I guess and booted him. I would like to see Alice fight Wesker from the video games though.

Saw Afterlife and admit, that I was impressed how close they did mange to keep to Game canon. Though mostly Resident evil 5 content. But it was waaaayyy much better than Extinction. Though Apocalypse still remains my favorite so far. Even saw it in 3D too, and that was my first 3d movie I was impressed and interested to see this new trilogy.

Okay, you've thrown me...Did you see Afterlife or Apocolypse in 3D? And since when do TRIlogies have four titles?

I'm guessing both. Also- And since when do TRIlogies have four titles? F*ck knows. The RE films were supposed to end at Afterlife, then a bunch of execs realized how much cashola was being pulled in and said "Let's stretch it over 4". Sort of like how the Deathly Hallows is being separated into 2 films. $$$. Edit> I meant Extinction (Running on how it was originally called Afterlife).
