Daniel had been about to say something else, tell her how they were here for her like she was there for them, but the gunshot put a damper on that idea. She pushed him out of the way just in time, the bullet whizzing past them by inches.
“Come on.” Daniel said, a whisper as well. He knew what she was thinking, he was thinking the same thing. He pulled out his 14.45 and ushered her over to their room, their pace quick as they zigzagged through the hallway. Daniel opened their door, and as soon as both of them were inside, he snapped it shut and walked into the room with Rio and Malcolm.
“Time to go. Sniper across the lot, we don’t know who their with.” He said. He began looking for anything they needed, ignoring the guns Malcolm had hidden. They were spares, not as important as their own. The only thing he started packing were the medical supplies.

"Sniper? Damn, they can't give us a ten minute break? I was starting to enjoy the room."
Malcom grabbed his SMG and sword and pressed his back against the door, using his blade to try and get a reflection of the corridor. A flicker of light off his weapon caught the scope across to the next building.
"Third floor down from the roof, I don't think I can fire back with what we have though. Elijah, can you grab Rio? You're fast enough to get her to the elevator, me and Danny can try and keep his head down."
On cue the elevator buzzer sounded and several suited casino guards burst onto the floor carrying automatic handguns and barking into radios.
"Keep everyone in their rooms, we're on the floor, looking for the source of the breech."
A shot rang out and knocked one of the guards off his feet, he pulled his jacket open and tore an armour vest off as his partner dragged him into cover. "That all you got?!!"
Malcom leaned back in as the guards rushed past firing and taking covered positions behind iceboxes, open doors, cleaning carts and vending machines.
"Well, I think we got cavalry. Thank Odin for vegas mafia ties."

Rio edged off the bed and started to help Elijha pack the items they had purchased earlier. Without it the trip up north would cause a bit of problems. Everything they bought they managed to shove into bags to make it less items to carry. "I don't need to be carried at the moment," Rio pointed out as she looked up at Malcom. "I'm capable of walking for the time being. Besides we need to talk this stuff with us or this stop would have been pointless," she pointed out as her and Elijha both split up the bags.
"Alright," Elijha said as she made her way to the door with Rio behind her. "We head for the stairs," she said looking at Daniel. "It lead right to the back parking lot."
Rio noticed the look Malcom gave them and figured it was his comment about the casino security. "Regardless of weather their good or bad guys. There still going to think we're enemies considering that we were the start of this," she pointed out. "Once were out of here they will be fine."
Elijha pushed her head out of the door as the last armed man ran right past them. Once it was clear she moved out into the hallway. "Lets go," she said as she ussered Rio down the hall with Daniel and Malcom guarding their backs. Elijha turned the corner, and then the next. She stopped at the door, and slowly pushed it open. Scanning the darkness for anything out of the ordinary. "Lets go. Keep your eyes open." Though that was more ment for Rio than the guys.
They shuffled down the stairs and into the open parking lot. Moving to the van they threw everything inside of it. Elijha turned to shut the door when she heard the bullet strick the side of the van. She looked up to the snipper on the roof. He had never left. He fired again, but completly missed them. Though this got Daniel and Malcom into a cover position. It then dawned on Elijha as the snipper fired again, and once again completely missed. "Distraction," she called out as she ran around to the other side of the van.
Rio laid on the ground with her arms cuffed behind her back, and Art knelt ontop of her with a knee square in her back. She held a gun pointed at Rio's head and looked up at Elijha with a dark glare. Behind her stood three more of her men all armed with semi-automatics. "Lay down the guns boys," she called out.

As soon as Elijha called out that it was a distraction, Daniel knew something was up. He dropped what he was carrying and made a beeline for his own car. Opening the trunk, he pulled out his AA-12 and one of the drums. He knew it held rubber rounds by its position in the trunk, and loaded it into the well of the weapon. Pulling the cocking lever back and going circling around the van.
Just as he expected, he saw people there. He recognized them all, especially Art.
Peering down the sights, he lined up a shot and pulled the trigger. The hard rubber round hit the first man in the back, catching him by surprise and dropping him to the ground as he gasped for breath. The other two were ready now, turning in his direction as he fired off several more rounds. Both of them dropped when the rounds hit them both multiple times in the chest.
Letting it hang by the strap, Daniel pulled his sidearm out and started on his way to the crowd. Lining up a shot at Art, he stopped short of the closest man and kept an eye on everyone.
“Art, let her go, nothing has happened that can’t be taken back.” He said, hoping he wouldn’t have to shoot her. Odds were he would never be able to go back to the AFDS with the virus in him like it was, but he still meant no harm to any of them. But she had to know he meant business. He thumbed the hammer on his pistol back when she didn’t move. “Art, put the weapon down now. If we really were fugitives from you, would I have used rubber bullets on these guys?” He said. He hoped she’d see some logic.

One of the AFDS troops stepped towards Malcom and Elijah, lowering his gun to pull out a pair of cuffs. As Daniel rushed for his car Mal drew his sword and gripped the troop as a shield, before using his MP5 to make two wounding shots into other troops next to Art.
"Bad idea following us, we don't owe you nothing, we have nothing you can claim and you sure as hell have no jurisdiction in vegas. Once the mobs realise you were shooting up their strip you'll be lucky to get out of here with the shirt on your back and a full set of teeth."
He waved his gun toward one of the last standing troops.
"Uncuff the girl before you get me even more offended. I don't tolerate bullies."

Art looked at Malcom, and then over her shoulder toward Daniel. These were people she counted on, and depended on. She then glanced down at Rio. She never cared much for her, and now she knew why. She turned two of her best fighters against her. Her finger played with the trigger of the gun for a moment before she let out a sigh. She stood up and motioned her man down from the building. "Jamison, Miller. Pick up your friends and get back to the truck," she ordered.
"Ma'am?" Jamison questioned.
"Do it." She looked at Rio as she sat up on her knees hands still cuffed behind her back. "You are the reason for their treason. Don't take light what will happen to you for this betrayl." She then looked at Elijha. "You monster. Will play for what your kind has done to me and so many others. I will that your end is just as painful as my families," she growled. With that she turned to her men and motioned then into the truck. She stopped before getting in. "Daniel . . . Malcom. Offer still stands for your return. There is one stipulation. That creature with you must come back dead. The girl. Ditch here some place cold for all I care. Boys your always welcome back." With that said she climbed into the truck just as it took off.
"Uh- wow," Elijha said a bit dazed. "What was that about?"
"Art never cared to much about me," Rio mumbled under her breath. She sat down on the ground, and manipulated her arms under her legs so she could slip her feet between her arms and get her arms in front of her. "She's seems to have something against women who aren't like her." She sighed as she sat there, and put her head in her hands.
Elijha smiled as she walked over and knelt down in front of Rio. She took her hands to reveil the cuffs. "That's a mighty fine trick you have there."
"Thank you. My Uncle showed it to me."
"Well as I see it. You have strengths in other areas, besides being a tormented human. Being sweet and smart is a good start." She reached over to one of the cuffs and stuck her fingers through the edges, and pulled apart till it snapped. She did the same to the others and Rio was free of the cuffs. "To be honest. I would be lost with all this freedome I have, and I know because I get so much you and your friends lose a lot." She sighed before looking back at Rio. "But I think you and your friends for their sacrifice to keep me safe and out of Art's hands. You are the first real friends I have, and I will do anything to protect you."
"Isn't that suppose to be the other way around?"
"Maybe, but it's what I want to do." She helped Rio to her feet. "Now how about we get to that lab and find out how to cure you."

“Can we cut this short, I don’t think Art is going to just slink off and go away.” He said, looking around the garage. “And the mob isn’t going to like the whole shootout in their hallway deal either.” He said, un-slinging his shotgun and taking the magazine out. The weapon didn’t actually have a chamber, it fed from the magazine directly to the barrel and the empty shell was shucked out, all from the magazine. Taking out the drum made the weapon useless, unless you wanted to use it as a club.
He walked over to his own car and deposited it in the trunk, slamming the lid tightly and going back to where he had dropped everything. He picked it up and ran it to the van, keeping the back door open for whoever was going to get into the back.
“All right, we got the radios, channel sixteen. I’ll lead, Rio, gimme directions as we go.” He said, in a hurry to get out of the place. He went to his car, hopping in the drivers seat, started the motor, and spun around quickly to face the ramp leading out. He picked up the radio and keyed the talk button.
“I’ll go ahead, this thing is damn near bomb proof in case they left us a surprise.” He said. “Right or left?” He asked as he started pulling out. He knew where the place was, but he didn’t know the best way to get there from memory. Rio probably knew about some roads that weren’t on the maps.

((Joanna and Artemis enter))
As the vehicles pulled up Artemis climbed out of the vehicle with Joanna. Her hand reaching for her handgun and dispatching and undead before he even got within twenty feet of the group. She looked up at the building in front of them and grinned slightly. "I think once we get what we need he blow the building." She looked at Joanna. "I think it would leave a statement for the city since they will probably level the city anywise. If we level the building we stand more of a chance of nothing surviving."
She paused as she walked closer to the building. "An exactly how are we suppose to get patient zero out of this building without a fight?" She looked back at Joanna. "An who is patient zero. Umbrella's patient zero was a rabbit."

"Patient zero is a young man named Alexander Corvinus." tapping her tacpad Joanna pulled up the relevant file, showing Artemis a picture of a young man barely into his 20's. "He was found a few years ago by a tricell mercenary team, according to him he had been bitten by an infected a few days ago but he showed no signs of being infected. according to the scientists who tested him, his blood had an anti-body that barely fought off the t-virus, it left him sick for a few days before he got better. since then they've used his blood to enhance some of their t-virus experiments and have been trying to develop a cure for their scientists who accidently get infected during experiments, though they havent been successful as of yet."
looking towards the casino, Joanna saw the shutters blocking the way. she grinned, "this'll be fun." she looked towards the seal team, "I want both the hummers 50 cal machineguns manned and all of you on alert. And save some of the Rockets if you can, who knows what might come out." they all got into position, before Joanna gave the order. "fire 2 rockets." white smoke trailed behind the rockets as they flew at the shutters, and then impacted. the blast was deafening, and when the dust cleared Joanna looked up. the shutters were definately damaged but they hadnt been breached yet. "fire another 2 rockets." the next blast was just as deafening as the first, and when the dust settled and Joanna looked again, the shutters had a great big hole at the bottom, more than enough for Her and Artemis to get in without effort. Looking at the missile pods on the vehicle, she saw there were two rockets left.
"okay, we're going in. only use the rockets if its absolutely necessary. Good luck gentlemen."

Artemis stood ready as the rockets flew toward the door denting it, and then the second set opening the door for them to enter. She made her way up the stairs only to pause as something crossed in front of the door on the other side. She stepped back as a large hand reached through the door gripping one edge of the open hole, and the other hand gripping the other end of the mangled metal. She watched at the tyrant ripped the door open larger in order for it to step out. She quickly back peddled down the steps next to Joanna as she pulled out her weapon and took aim. “This is not the welcoming committee I wanted to see here,” she said over her shoulder.
She lowered her weapon in curiosity. “What the hell is Tricell doing with a T-103. I thought they were only created on Sheena Island?” She looked at Joanna. “I know BSAA has been there, but I didn’t know anything about any other stolen technology from the island.”

"Oh s***." when the T-103 came through the door Joanna was stunned for a second, she hadnt seen a T-103 for years, after destroying a Tricell facility housed in an old Umbrella bunker. Inside there had been technology stolen from sheena Island, they had been trying to make their own T-103 factory and there had only been a few successes before she discovered it during her fourth scum hunt. she had gathered as much intel as she could before blowing the facility and the T-103's along with it. Joanna quickly glanced at Artemis before looking back to the T-103. It was in the form it takes without its limiter, it must have been behind the shutter when the second rocket hit it. "we can talk about that after we kill the bouncer. boys, shoot that thing with the remaining rockets when I tell you too." She started shooting, moving left, towards a fuel tanker in the center of the road about 70 meters away. Predictably, the tyrant followed, quickly gaining on her as she sprinted towards what she hoped was a potential explosive. when she reached the tanker she turned around, quickly rolling away from the tyrants flying fist. the tyrant punched through the tanker and was stuck, fuel gushing out of the rented metal.
"NOW!!!" Joanna roared as she sprinted away from the Tanker.
the remaining two rockets streaked towards Tyrant, both impacting with the monstrosity. they blew simultaneously, also igniting the fuel tanker, blowing that as well. Joanna was thrown off her feet from the blast, and when she stopped rolling she heard a loud and wet impact a couple of meters away from her. turning her head she saw a giant leg, with nothing else attached to it.
she slowly walked towards the casino entrance and a concerned looking Artemis and a whooping team of navy seals. "I think Its time to crash the party, dont you think?" Joanna said to artemis, grinning like a lunatic.

Artemis had to step back as Joanna took the show, and the explosion was loud enough wake up call to anyone still left in the building. She looked up to the door as Joanna walked up. “I thought the fireworks were supposed to be at the end of the party, not the beginning.” She smiled as she nodded. Raising her UMP she followed closely behind Joanna as they moved through the door, and the soldiers following them inside. She looked around the partly burnt and burring entrance area for the stairs that were partly hidden by another wall. “Ten story climb before we get to play,” she said as she moved forward toward the stairs and allowing her eyes to scan the lobby. Making sure the first set of stairs was clear she motioned for Joanna. “Probably best to use one of your boy toys to keep the lobby secure, and the others to search for any survivors,” she pointed out, and grinned at the look she received from the soldiers. “At least with one down here we have a secure exit.”

Joanna shook her head at Artemis's suggestion, it was good in theory but not in practice. "if just one guy stays here he'll probably be swamped if attacked. we stay together until level 10 then while we're searching the labs they sweep the floors for survivers, again staying together. whats more the driver and gunner of the rocket launcher vehicle are manning the Heavy machine guns on the hummers outside so that side of the enterance is secure." this got nods from the seals, they prefered it. she looked at Artemis, grinning, "you've got to remember not everyone is as good as us." the casino was like a charnel house, there were bodies of/and what was left of civilians guards and BOWs everywhere. by the time they got to level 10 several of the seals had vomitted. "alright boys, here's where we part ways, sweep the floors and stay together. dont wonder off from eachother or you might be picked off one by one. once you finish sweeping the floors regroup back outside with the rocket vehicle boys and stay there."
as the seals pealed off back towards the stairs, Joanna and Artemis continued up to a large elevator with a keypad. after a few seconds using her tacpad she hacked the elevator doors open. as they went up a level the smell of death grew worse, drying blood, punctured guts and rotting meat permeted and polluted the air. when they finally got to the eleventh floor they were greeted to the sight of what remained of the tricell labs. "what the hell?!" Joanna exclaimed at what lay before her, the remains of BOW's and humans were littered everywhere, or at least what was left of them. "these bodies are in early stages of decomposition, 1 or 2 days at most, what happened down stairs happened recently. the BOW's that were down there must have escaped the labs somehow."

“Escaped or let go,” Artemis said as she stepped out of the elevator with her UMP raised high. Her senses on high alert now that they could see the true carnage of the labs, and what made it worse was this was more or likely the escape point. She hated to see what awaited them further into the labs. She edged up to the first corner peeking around, and more death awaited them. “They were running away,” she said looking back at Joanna. “I’ve seen this before. It wasn’t an outbreak or a carless mistake. They weren’t killed by the failsafe device.” She slowly moved down the hallway checking out one of Tricell’s fallen soldiers. “He’s not decamping like the others, and the BOWs that are dead follow suite.” Standing up she turned back to Joanna. “This is a failed lab, and the higher ups decided to let their creations go. In order to prove a point to the other labs.” Looking back down the hall she started making her way to the first door. Slowly opening it up to a security room. “But it doesn’t seem that their cleanup crew made it out in once piece. It was probably one of them that help lead to the infection.”
Moving over to the security camera’s she scanned threw them seeing the same things once more, but the camera’s only went up to level 13. She cursed under her breath before looking back at Joanna. “I’m thinking we need to get to 13 and above. These cameras aren’t connected to them.”
