Malcom got to work finding food for the group in the kitchen, digging through the cupboards finding mostly non perishables, plus a take out box that looked pretty suspicious. He settled for heating up some pop tarts for the time being, once the medical work was done he's work up something better. He went back into the main room carrying a few plates.
"Cornerstone of any breakfast people, and I'm not sure how many breakfasts we missed out on."
He let Daniel get some quiet to use the phone, handing out Elijah her share of the food and leaving Rio hers for when she woke up.
"Nice order." He spoke up when Daniel finished. "Might want to stall them when they get here, could use the backup until we get moving again. So who the hell attacked you in the car?"

Elijha walked back in with a box of out dated crackers. "You wait any longer and all your food would be out dated." She looked at the pop tarts that Malcom had made and nodded slightly ignoring what else he was saying. She sat the crackers down on the table and looked at him. "Alright. You ready to set your leg?" she asked. When he nodded she walked over to the bag of medical supplies. "We have nothing to work for pain. That's a lot of reason why Rio has pretty much stayed unconcious." She walked over with the splints and bandages. "The doctors office had them, but I didn't want to pick them up. Considering who he was working for. I didn't grab any of the medication. I don't trust it," she said as she pulled out a couple of pincels.
She taped them together and made sure they were secured. "Bite on this," she said as she knelt down and ran her hand along his leg. "Say by to your pants," she said as she took the scessors and cut up the pant leg to his knee. The black and blue coloring already telling her that the leg was starting to set. "You pass out on me and Malcom's doing the cpr," she said with a grin. "I would count to three," she said as she settled her hands on his leg. "But that wouldn't work. Knowing you this proably hasn't been your first broken bone." With that she snapped his leg back in place. The loud crack echoing through the house. "Hang on there," she said as she pushed him back on the chair as he slumped forward. "Malcom, help me get him to the sofa."
With his help they moved Daniel to the sofa where she elevated his feet, and rested his head on a pillow. She walked over grabbing the splints and setting them against both sides of his leg, and then completly wrapping it with a bandage until his lower part of his leg was completly secured. "Alright. Relax some. That way your leg can start setting right this time," she pointed out as she stood up

“Sorry, I had to let the chef go before we got here.” Daniel said with a smirk, stealing a few of the crackers from her package. Good god… How many days had it been since they’d had something to eat? Three? Something like that.
“Good policy.” He said when she mentioned the drugs. Who knew what that guy was storing in the vial marked Morphine? Dan wasn’t in line to find out. He helped her cut the pant leg off when she started, holding it taut to make the scissors more efficient. He looked up at Malcolm and smirked.
“I’d rather slip away to a peaceful death, if its all the same.” He said to her joke. He looked at the pencils and tossed them to the side. He didn’t need them, and he didn’t want to stick anything that had been sitting here out in the open for that long in his mouth. She jerked the bones back in place, and he let out a sharp grunt before quieting down. “Ow.” He said, deadpan. She wrapped it up, he was put on the couch, and he sighed. Now what?
“Don’t know who attacked us, some a**hole. Probably Sincell, knew about Art and company, knew Elijha’s dad.” He said. “Some jerk off I owe a broken leg, that’s all I know.” He thought about the guys he had coming, and Malcolm’s suggestion of stalling them to use as backup. “Bad idea. It’ll only be two of them, and they wouldn’t wanna stay, they got people of their own to look out for.” He said. The group weren’t actually bad guys. Sure, gun runners, criminals in normal times. But they protected people, handed out guns on loan as long as people stayed in town and helped defend it. Raided abandoned areas for supplies to keep the makeshift colony running. Bad guys with morals. Made them good guys, in a sense.

"I figure we're going to need a bit of a think about our next move."
Malcom sat playing with his PDA, going through files on useful contacts he had from his mercenary work, most of them on the african continent unfortunatly but there were a few who traveled around if he could find them.
"As soon as Dannys buddies get here we'll be armed, but we still have one van, two recovering from wounds and we're stuck in the middle of Sincell and AFDS with each of them wanting our heads on the mantle and we don't have the resources on hand to take them. So I say they should give us an even shot, even if they don't know it."
He showed his PDA screen, a banking program clicking away and putting money in an offshore account.
"Starting donation from the AFDS, fake Riko's backpay for the next six months included. Next Sincell base we hit up, I'll hit their pockets as well, play both sides until they dry up and we hold enough leverage to get a word in."

"W- wouldn't w- work," Rio called from the doorway. She used the door frame to hold herself up, and even that was looking like a failed attempt. "W- we're good . . . but there . . . better, "she said with heavy gasps of breath.
"You should be laying down," Elijha called as she moved from her chair to help support Rio. She whiped some of the blood from the corner of her mouth. "You should really be laying down," she said with a lot of concern
"N- no . . . I want to help."
"Then help us by staying in bed."
"I- it was Ri- ko," she spoke with a bit more struggle. She leaned up against Elijha. "H- he took the f- file . . . I can't remember w- what he said . . . I can't remember anything else," she said as she slumped in Elijha's arms. "T- taking small funds to support us . . . wi- will be fine. Wont be easy to track . . . Large funds w- will have th- them breathing d- down our back before we have a chance to even think of m- moving," she mumbled.
"Alright. You helped enough back to bed," Elijha said as she picked Rio up. She walked her back to the room and laid her back down on the bed, covered her up, and walked out of the room. She looked back as Rio had fallen asleep once again. "I hope they bring the right kind of medication. If not her recovery will be rather painful," she said as she took up her seat again. "So anything on what she said?"

“I’m betting they’ll have painkillers. That’s like, first on the list when you think medical drugs.” Daniel said. At least to him, and he was pretty sure them too. Antibiotics came second, and he hoped they could find some of them. Just in case. He didn’t know if they actually needed any of them right now.
He listened to Malcolm talk about siphoning money from the AFDS and Sincell, and he smirked. It also brought him to another question.
“How much money are we sitting on anyway?” He asked. He knew he had a few million dollars here at the house, rainy day fund along with the place itself. Probably a good idea not to take anymore, he had to think what he had and what Rio set them up with would be more than enough. Beyond what he had just done, he didn’t know what they would need money for. Just to be safe… “Don’t worry about stealing anything else from someone who’s going to track us down. I have some cash here, and what she got earlier should be fine.” He said.
He thought back to the incident Rio talked about, and Elijha asked about. He remembered everything up until he passed out for a few minutes. Never caught the guys face, but now he knew who it had been. Riko was more super powered than they thought.
“I don’t know what flipped us, I think it was a mine but I don’t remember an explosion. Just going along and we’re flying through the air for no reason. After a few seconds, a guy came around and told us that Art was on the way. Took the file you got from the doctors office, and injected us both with something.” He told them.

"I've got some cash building interest from when the Surgeon had me locked up, few loans I could call in and maybe some conflict diamonds if noone objects to that sort of thing. Otherwise I can keep dipping into AFDS every so often for extra cash. Like Rio said do it a little at a time but once it's out and travelling around they won't be able to track it, people these days are too private."
Malcom froze up when Daniel mentioned being injected.
"Any idea what you were injected with? If not I'd recommend we get you two in for an Xray or a cat scan somewhere."

Elijha leaned forward with a bit of worry when Daniel had mentioned something about being injected. Riko know worked for her father, and there were a wide ranged of things it could have been. Though when she thought about it. If it was a virus of some sort it would have more than likely taken effect and they would have seen signs of it. She looked back at Rio as she slept in the bed and wonder if she wasn't already exibiting sighns of it. Yet Riko had let them live, and even made his presence well know to Rio. He had even warned them about the AFDS group. That meant that her father wasn't looking to kill them, but something else.
"But what," she mumbled under her breath as she leaned forward. She rubbed the sides of ther head as she tried to think. "You know what," she said as she looked up at the group. "It's been a long couple of days. Why don't we try to get some sleep. We'll be able to think better on a fresher start. Not to mention tomorrow is when we get the proper medicaiton for you and Rio." She stood up and walked over to the door making sure that the locks were secured. "What do you guys say. I'll hang out in the bedroom with Rio in case something happens. Malcom stay close to Daniel just for safety."
She looked around the room before heading to the bedroom. She stopped and looked back to them. "Father had a wide range of viruses and other things he always used to control people. Though I don't think it's the viruses. People usually died within several hours of the injection. I think he's trying to keep you alive for something. We just need to find out what it is, not to mention what he put into the two of you. Xrays, I wouldn't know, but we could hurt by actually going to a hospital and running test. It's up to you though."

“I like that idea.” Daniel said, laying down and already feeling himself drifting off to sleep. How long had it been since they’d gotten to lay down in a bed? The train, before they went out to the island. From there, things kept going wrong. They ran into any group of a**holes who would cause problems, monsters, their own people turning on them…
“We’ll find out what to do tomorrow, when we’re all well enough to be at the table.” He said, speaking of his friends bringing the medical supplies. Rio seemed to have some insight. Riko had said some things to her that he hadn’t heard. After that, they needed something to do, a target. He didn’t want to stay here for too long, he wanted to get out as soon as Rio could move. This place wasn’t exactly secured for an attack, more of a hiding place and a storage locker than anything.
He closed his eyes again, letting out a yawn and slid down to lay flat on the couch.
“That chair reclines.” He said with closed eyes, directed at Malcolm and the arm chair he was sitting in. He was quiet then, slipping into sleep almost instantly.

"I'll just take a quick check around before I clock out. Call it minor paranoia but I think it's justified paranoia."
Malcom took a flashlight and had a look around the other rooms in the bunker, the generator was working okay and the room it was in had a decent filtration system so they wouldn't choke on machine fumes in their sleep. The weapons they'd recovered all had their safeties on and were restacked carefully so they wouldn't risk anything spilling into the barrels. Outside looked clear, the van was still hidden and the door bolted and secured, and a quick look at the GPS didn't show anyone near them or any tracking devices active on their vehicle.
"For once I think we'll have a decent sleep." Malcom sat down in the chair Daniel had offered with the riot gun on his lap. "But just in case I'll snuggle up with this, goodnight everybody."

Elijha slept on the bed beside Rio, waking up on occasion to make sure she was okay. When she was satisfied she fell back asleep. It was the shound of the rotors that woke her up. She sat up on the bed and looked around making sure that everyone was still inside. She moved across the room to the door. Putting her ear against it she listened to make sure it wasn't directly over head. She opened it just a bit to see if she could see it, but when she couldn't she shut the door again. Making sure it was secured she leaned up against the wall making sure that she could still hear it and that it wasn't coming closer. It didn't take to much longer before the sound disappeared. She sighed heavily and slid down the wall waiting for the others to wake up.

Hours and hours passed, and then more hours passed. The group slept, making up for the sleep that they had missed in the past few days. The sleep Dan had wanted to get when they got back to the train, only to have it put on hold. The sleep he’d wanted at the town, once again taken from them. He knew for a fact that some psychos weren’t hiding here, knew that anyone who tried to break down the door would either be at it for a good long time or have to blow it open. Either option would wake them and get them ready for a good old fashioned Mexican gunfight.
Daniel finally woke up, looking over at Malcolm who looked like he was still asleep. And to Elijha, near the door. He stretched and looked at his watch. Holy s***… Nineteen hours, he’d been sleeping. He didn’t know how he could have slept that long. Well, he did, but he hadn’t been expecting it.
Sitting up and reaching for the crutched that were leaned against the couch, he got up by putting his weight on his good leg and the side of the couch for leverage. Making his way into the kitchen to get something to eat, a few crackers doing nothing to stave off his hunger, he grabbed the first thing he saw. The box of pop tarts on the counter. Ripping a package open with his teeth, he took a bite out of it and sighed. It had to be the best pop tart he’d ever eaten.
“Cant sleep?” He asked. She didn’t look like she’d slept at all. Maybe it was the way her body worked, or maybe something had woken here while all the others slept through it.

Malcom woke up silently, stealing a few minutes of quiet with his eyes closed before letting anyone else in on it, checking his gun over in before going into the kitchen behind Daniel and grabbing an MRE packet for a quick breakfast. For once the group seemed to have managed a quiet night with sleep and noone trying to kill them or send them on a mission, should have quit the AFDS sooner.
"Morning compadre's, Elijah? You didn't stay up all night did you? Me and Daniel don't sleep that heavy, would have got the drop on anything coming through that door. You want to take a few extra hours you just go for it."
He agreed with Daniels guess mostly though, that she couldn't rather than didn't sleep, hopefully it wasn't the kind of talent that would backfire on her when she didn't need it.

Elijha looked up at Daniel and Malcom as they both asked her relativily the same question. "No. Since I ended up in my father's lab a lot of things have changed for me," she pointed out. Standing up she stretched her arms and back. "Also I slept at the town, not to mention a little hear." She grinned slightly at Malcom's comment about them being light sleepers. "For being so light you shure missed the chopper. Besides, you guys needed the rest," she said as she jumped up and sat down on the counter. "So what time do you think your guys would get here?" she asked as she looked to the window.

“Chopper?” Daniel asked. He hadn’t heard any such thing. They must have slept deeper than he thought. Popping the last of the pop-tart into his mouth, he picked out another package and started to open it. Thinking for a moment, he tossed it back in the box, picked up the whole box, and set it on the table before he took a seat.
He went at the package again, tearing it open and taking a bite of the strawberry pastry. He thought for a moment, and then looked at his watch.
“They should be here… Within the hour.” He said. It’d been twenty hours since he’d made the call. That gave them five hours to get everything and the fifteen hour drive. Four more until they lost their bonus, he knew Jack wouldn’t let that happen.
“Four more, tops.” He said.
