The infection was not limited to the three large cities it overran. Numerous smaller towns have had their own zombie problems. Anywhere from the smallest town of 40 citizens to cities that hold thousands have had outbreaks. Some are being controlled. Some are totally out of control. But all of them are riddled with zombies.

(Noteworthy Information: The Plantation)
[ The Plantation is a "MAJOR" source of crops and meats for "ANY" settlement throughout the United States, trade is worked out with Reputation and Weapons Trade. Bullets act as a main source of currency... Those that need food are welcome to a warm meal anytime. Basic needs are met in any of the "Safe Houses"... Shower, Food, Beds and Rest Rooms. No one is refused from these service, but must be checked at the Main Gate before entry. ID Tags are issued and must be worn at all times.] Although the infection rate seemed to have sky rocketed throughout the world, Ian Benton has established a small chain of settlements not far from Pensacola Florida, the area was once known as Jay, Florida. The settlements were named the "Plantations" and were closely guarded by the remnants of the surrounding military forces out of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. The "Plantation" was created to keep the food sources for many of the established settlements throughout the United States active while providing shelter for those that cannot protect themselves from the roaming bands of undead. The settlement itself is far out of harms way due to the low count of population from the previous post infection era, during the time of the widespread cleansing of the "Umbrella Threat" the plantation was formed and kept well conditioned. Protection from the "Threat of Infection" is limited to how well stocked the "Plantation" is with ammunition. People that have been infected are executed without pause.
The Plantation is made up of as follows... {Still Under Construction...}
+The Main Gates+ - The only access to The Plantation is through as heavily guarded steel grated gate directly to the south. The gate stands at fifty foot tall and is constantly under the watch of security officials armed with M16 Rifles and a Glock 21 sidearm. A ammunitions store house is kept just inside the gate and the weaponry varies from week to week. Those that wish to access the Plantation must first consult with a official before demanding entry. [DO NOT TRY TO CLIMB THE GATES.] The Gates and Walls of the Plantation are high voltage and have enough power running through them to fry a blue whale. These gates were constructed for protection from even the biggest of T-Virus/G-Virus creatures.
+The Fields+ - The fields are roaming areas that crops and other means of food are grown and harvested. The Fields are surrounded by the large walls that lead to the Main Gates of the Plantation. The fields are littered with every type of Harvesting tool and equipment. Common Laborers also occupy this area to help with the High Demand of goods that are grown.
+The Safe Houses+- These are houses that are located in the center of the Plantation, anyone is welcome to using one of the hundreds of small houses to either 'Homestead' or rest for a week or two. People are not denied of use for these services. Every house is constructed of a Living quarters: equipped with closed lined television, a sofa, and a desk and a small kitchenette. A bathroom: Toilet, Sink, Shower/Bath Tub. A bedroom... Two queen sized beds placed in the center. The safe houses are locked down at 12 pm to 6 am for safety reasons.
+ The Guard Houses+- The Guard Houses are made up of bunkers and weapon armory for guards and the like.
+Main Residence+- The Plantation has a main residence that is kept locked most of the time. The head officials of trade and foreign affairs reside in a ever cautious environment in the Main Residence. The house holds close to thirty of the Plantations key people and mimics that of the safe houses only in a larger number houses mixed into one. The only change is the Guard Quarters and Meeting area underground. [People cannot freely walk into the Main Residence without authorization.]

((Malcom, Daniel, Rio, and Elijha enter)
Rio looked up from the back seat of the vehicle the town looked rather small which was a good thing. Basics looked to be the best idea for the town, that was probably why they still survived, and thrived. This was a town out in the middle of no where and probably the only one's that knew about this place where relatives if they so happened to move away. Still with every place there was a very small in, and not even to far from that was the doctors office.
"Daniel there," she pointed to the doctor's office. "That is if they will help us. For this town to still be alive you know they take precautions," she pointed out. Her eyes darting to the group of people watching them from a distance.

Daniel kept the speed slow, as to not spook any of the people watching them with varying degree’s of weaponry. Most of them had average civilian weapons, hunting rifles, shotguns, some pistols. A few had military grade weapons, M16’s and such. He wouldn’t be surprised if a few of the sharper shooters were perched up on high rises with the jeep in their scopes.
Daniel came to a stop at the doctors office, looking at the others for a moment.
“Stay in here, lock the doors for a moment.” He said. The thing was armor plated, they would be safe from anything these people were packing for the duration of a getaway. Daniel slipped the Glock into his pocket and stepped out of the jeep. He shut the door and held his hands out at his sides.
“I need a doctor. My friend has been shot in the back, she’s a hemophiliac. We only need a doctor for a moment, and we can pay.” He said, talking about the bag of supplies he had taken. He was betting Rio and Elijha wouldn’t be needing M4’s. He could go with only a Glock, and he was betting Malcolm could too. They had four M4’s and a few hundred rounds to trade with, even some 9mm rounds. They could get along well enough with about half the ammo they had right now.

Malcom stayed with Rio and Elijah in the hummvee, making sure noone tried anything. He kept his sword on his lap ready to unsheath it quick and put it through anyone trying to force entry into the vehicle. Thankfully most people seemed more intrigued curious than hostile curious.
"You two holding up okay back there?"
He watched Daniel barter with the doctor, they had plenty to trade after he and Malcom had looted most of the AFDS armory during their escape. The town would have to be really suspicious to turn them down.

The Doctor came out of his office as Daniel called out. He looked around the street and then over to the vehicle that he had motioned to. It looked like a well made up armored vehicle which meant that they probably had some nice things they could barter with. That's all he wanted. He would leave the bartering up with Calab and Jeffry. "Alright boy, bring your friend into the hospital. But my brother's you'll be doing the bartering with, and they don't come cheep."
"Hold up Doc!" Calab shouted as he ran up with Jeffry. "I'm not going to risk losing out on another deal because of your soft heart," he growled.
"An I'm not going to let anyone die because of your cold heartedness," he barked as he waved his hands in the air. "I became a doctor to save not kill. Look at their vehicle they're bound to have something good in it."
"Regardless. They could have you fix up their friend and then sneak away," Jeffry retorted as he looked at the vehicle. "The vehicle though would be nice to have against those worms."
"No you made a rule that no matter what vehicle they have that you wouldn't take it. For the fact that they would get stuck with us," Doc said as he looked back to the armored vehicle, but his brother was right it would have made a great weapon against the worms.
---------------------------------
"Not really," Rio commented as she looked around the street. "I'd really prefer not to die after escaping Art so soon." She looked down at Elijha and ran her fingers along her neck. "I hope they hurry up. She's loosing a lot of blood." She looked up to Daniel as three men stood in front of them one she was really hoping was the doctor. The other two she assumed were probably leading this little town and trying to keep it safe. Though at the moment they seemed to be arguing with each other.
Rio was growing impatient, and she knew that Daniel told them to stay here. Yet when she looked down at her cloths and at Elijha they didn't have much time left. "Here," she told Malcom as she grabbed his hand and put it on the wound for pressure. I'll be back."
She slung open the door and stepped out, slamming it behind her. "You three argue like a bunch of children while someone lays dying," she barked. "If your not willing to help us then give me the medical supplies and I'll do it. I'm pretty sure we have something to trade with to match the small amount of supplies we need in return. But if you three keep arguing and she dies then you have no chance on earth to even get anything in return," she growled as she walked up beside Daniel. "Look if your so sceptical why don't the good Doctor here treat our friend, and the other two do the bartering at the same time. I'm pretty sure we can out do a lot of what you have around here espeically weapon wise."
"Very well," Jeffry finally said.
"Hey!" Calab complained as he grabbed his brothers arm.
"If they don't have what we want just let their friend die. We should know when they first open the door anyway. Not to mention it'll take Doc a bit of time to set up." He turned to Rio and then back to his brother. "Get your stretcher and lets go." Turning to Daniel. "Show me what you got, and bewarned if we don't like it your friend is as good as dead."
The doctor quickly returned from his office with a stretcher with Rio's help they placed Elijha on the stretcher. "Malcom stay with Daniel I don't want him to be alone with these two," Rio whispered before she shut the door. They then wheeled Elijha into the office to be treated.

Daniel had stayed in his place, watching the men argue. He knew how short time was, but he couldn’t rush them. To do that, not only would it cause distrust, it could aggravate them. He had been about to say something when Rio hopped out, and set things straight.
“That works…” He said quietly as he watched Rio and the doctor cart Elijha off into the office. Daniel, who’d had his hand on his belt, just an inch from the pocket that contained his pistol, let it fall to the back hatch of the jeep. He opened it up and looked at Caleb when he spoke. “That would be unfortunate…” He said, a strong dislike for the man already. He left the comment open enough to be either an answer to his comment or a threat, and said nothing more.
Grabbing one of the duffle bags and opening it, he pulled out an M4. He took the magazine out and checked the chamber before he handed it to Caleb. He was glad he did when he watched how the man handled the weapon.
“We have four more, a hundred and fifty rounds each.” He said. “All yours.” Daniel said quietly, a hint of disgust in his voice. Not that he had to give away these things, that didn’t bother him all that much. What bothered him was the fact that this man was putting the life of a human being below that of a few items.

Malcom caught the tail end of Daniel and Rio's argument with the loudmouth hanging around with the doctor, everyday disaster zone parasite putting himself in a place where he thinks he can ration out the essentials to anyone who gives him a few luxuries here and there, of course if he kept pushing Daniel he'd have to learn to make demands with a fat lip and a bottle of nitroglycerin funneled into his ears. Mal got out with the girls and saw them off to the doctors safetly before taking the order to help with the bartering.
"Hold it there sticky fingers." He used his sheathed sword to smack at the hand of someone making a grab at the supplies. "At least buy us dinner before you go for our goodies."
He started sorting the equipment out as Daniel made his bargaining terms clear. Stuff they could give like spare weapons and ammo was separated from stuff they needed to keep like food, medical gear and the personal equipment, probably end up trading for a whole new vehicle just in case Art had more trackers that she hadn't trusted Malcom to install. Speaking of which...he made his way up to the engine block and dug out the main tracking device, flaunting it in front of the townspeople, since they hadn't been rude yet, giving them a better pitch than he'd give Caleb and his cronies.
"Here's something everyone wants these days, state of the art electronics, keep tabs on pets, wandering kids or wandering spouses eh?" He showed it off to anyone interested. "Or just strip it down for parts and repair the gadgets you got at home, what do I bid?"

Calab fiddled with the weapons. He had already picked what he wanted for the price for all this, but that was out of his reach. He wanted more, but knew well enough that these four weapons and ammo was enough for what they were asking. He sighed a bit and waved another two men over. "Take what they give you, and nothing else. Take them to the armory," he said as he stepped back allowing the two strangers to hand off the weapons and ammo.
"Shella," he called to a woman hidding in one of the buildings. "Come here woman!" he shouted and looked to what was a small inn across the street. "I know you can here me. Get your ass out . . ." He trailed off as she finally made her way out of the inn. She slowly crossed the street and stopped a little ways from him. "Take these two, and Ah . . ." he stopped again as Rio and the doctor came out of the doctors office.
"Elijha's going to be okay," Rio said as she clapped her hands with joy. "The Doc here is a mirricle worker, and knows his stuff. Were going to have to let her rest at least for the night before we decide to move her. Two days would be good, a week would be for the best. But I know you guys don't want to stay that long, and they don't want us here that long," she put in.
Calab smiled as he looked at Rio taking a moment to look back to Daniel and Malcom and then back to Rio again. "Shella, take these three to the inn and set them up for the night. Food and room. They've payed enoguh for that," he said.
She nodded and motioned them to follow. Rio started but stopped when she noticed Daniel walking to the drivers seat. Grabbing the keys and locking the vehicle up. She smiled as he fell in behind them. Walking into the inn she smiled at the small little homely feeling.
"We have a bar that Phillip tends to, the rooms are upstairs. I'm sure the two gentlemen don't mind sharing a room, and the young lady will have a room right across from them," she explained. She walked behind the counter pulling out two keys. Handing one to Daniel and the other to Rio. "Room's One and Six. Please try not to mess destroy anything, and young lady," she said looking at Rio. "Please stay away from Calab for your safety." With that said she disappeared into another room. Leaving Rio to ponder on what she was talking about.

“Thank you kindly, ma’am.” Daniel said with a quick smile, walking up to the stairs and waving the others to come up. He opened the door and waved them in to Room 1. He shushed them with a motion, taking a look around. He didn’t find any wire taps, listening or video devices, nothing. He finally relaxed and sat down on the bed.
“Anyone else getting a bad feeling?” He asked. Not only from the very obvious warning to Rio, but the feeling he’d gotten from the men at the hummer. He didn’t trust anyone here, didn’t like the way things were playing out. It felt… Off.
“I say we stay to one room. Take turns sleeping, watching out the window for Elijha and the car.” He said, walking over and taking a peek out the window. No one messed with the vehicle, yet, and he didn’t see anyone going toward the doctors office. “What do you guys think?” He asked, looking over at them.

"I'm thinking that we'd be better off hiring someone to taste the food we get here, towns with guys like 'Caleb' running them tend to be somewhere between 'Burn the witch' and 'yew gotta purdy mouth' y'know what I'm saying?"
Malcom fiddled with his PDA some more whilst they talked, only looking up when he realised he might be worrying everyone. He thought some more on the matter.
"On the other hand guys like that tend to run things with fear, take him out of the equation if we have to and the rest won't have any reason to follow his orders. I think I should take Rio's room in case anyone wanted to make a move tonight." He passed Rio his PDA. "I got a lot of blades if that happens but if they come here first and you can't get to a gun, hit return, I've set it to play some hardcore gangster rap, at which point I'll come running."
He peeked out the door until the hallway was clear and checked the other room, turning on the faucet and looking for any traps or bugs under cover of the noise.

"Elijha should be fine," Rio said after Malcom had went to check her room. She looked at Daniel and then out the window. He seemed to be watching the truck intently. "The Doctor seemed to be straight up not to mention with her out of it I don't think they would try anything. As for our ride it'll take anything short of tnt to open it. I don't think anyone will be picking those locks or trying to break out the window anything. Not to mention it does have an alarm on it," she pointed out.
She headed for the door and then stopped. "I'm going to run down and get us something to eat." She shut the door behind her as she walked down the hall. She headed down the stairs and caught Calab out of the corner of her eyes. When she seen him she turned to head back up the stairs when she heard her name.
"Rio isn't it?" he asked as he quickly closed the space between them.
"Yes, who told you that?" she asked as she stepped off the stairs.
"That Doctor treating your friend is my brother. He tells me a lot. Just like your a very talented doctor yourself, and that you are not a medical doctor but a biologist as well as a computer tech," he said as he reached out to brush a strained of her hair out of her face. Rio slapped his hand away from her, and in return he slapped her across the face. "I'll tell you know, woman. No female here disrespects me."
Rio leaned on the railing and brushed the blood from her lip. She looked over to Shella as she coward behind the bar. She looked back at Calab as he went to grab her, but in return she kicked him hard between the legs. He doubled over cursing as he stepped back. Rio turned to run up the stairs when the entire building shook like it was in an earthquake. Rio hit the stairs hard and rolled to look out at the dirt covered road and what looked to be like a large worm.
Calab cursed as he regained his composure. He looked back at Rio and then ran out of the building. Rio looked at Shella as she stood up herself. "That was the worm. We've lost most of our people to it. They usually come at night, but this is unusual. They're usually nocturnal."

Daniel had walked out to follow Rio, after taking the Glock from his pocket at sliding it into the front of his waistband. He wanted to keep it hidden, just in case someone thought they could get the upper hand on him. He exited the door in time to see the scene unfolded, Rio trying to run up the stairs and Caleb hunched over in pain. He couldn’t help but smirk for a moment, cut short when the ground started to shake. He bent his legs and his hand shot out to the wall to keep balance, and it was over almost before it started.
He heard Shella explain about a worm, and he sighed. Not this again… “You never woke up at night, hankering for a midnight snack?” He asked. “Same basic principal.” He added. He walked over to Rio and kept his voice low.
“We need to leave as soon as we can. When can Elijha be moved?” He asked. “Moved period, we can adjust any way we need to.” He said.

Malcom rushed out as he felt the tremor, keeping his sword handy, unfortunatly having not picked out a new gun from the vehicle just yet he'd have to arm up before getting into any shootouts. Not a major problem in any case. He met up with Daniel at the bottom of the stairs.
"Giant worm huh? Those things never give anyone any consideration." He turned to Caleb. "Speaking of worms, you keep holding them like that in front of company we won't be able to recommend this place to other guests."
"Now what have you got in way of defenses? Militia? weapon positions? traps? vehicles? I figure if we mighty travellers do some slaying of beasts we can cut a bit off our bill."

Jeffery entered the inn as Malcom was talking he looked at Shella and she walked away. "What weapons you see that we carry are the weapons we have," he said as he walked to the bar and picked up a glass. "Anyone want anything?" he asked as he held up a pitchure of water and sat it down on the counter.
Calab entered the bar again with a couple of other men. Two of them who took up a seat at one of the tables. "These things usually stay in during the day and not bothering us. Then at night while they roam the streets we stay in our houses. No harm come. Well except for the few stubron people who happen to wonder out into the streets at night," he pointed out.
Rio hide behind Daniel as she seen Calab enter the room. "We can't move Elijha until tomorrow," she whispered into his ear.
