"Four hours, that's good, we got enough gear to hold off anything unexpected until then. But I'm thinking, these guys, will they accept any kind of payment we're able to give from here?"
Malcom finished off his breakfast and bought the weapons box into the room, putting it on a clear table he started checking over all the guns, taking them apart and looking for any damage from the crash they'd been through before reassembling them.
"and I wouldn't worry too much about choppers, deserts are good places for flyovers, less places for some lunatic with a stinger to start trying to blow you out of the air."

Elijha yawned slightly and then looked surprised. "Well either way I don't want to take any chances," she said as she jumped off the counter. "We have to many people after us as it is. An army of your friends, and an Army of my father's. Who know's if they haven't figured out where we are by now." She waved her hand as she grabbed a can of noodle soup out of the cabniet. She used her pocket knife to open it up. Smelling and tasting it to see if it was still good. She then grabbed a spoon from the cabniet. "I'm going to see if Rio will eat anything."
With that she headed out of the kitchen and to the bed room. Walking in she found Rio still sleeping. She walked over to the bed and sat on the edge gently shaking her. "Rio, you need to eat something," she said. Rio opened her eyes slowly and looked at Elijha before shifting and letting out a painful cry. Elijha tried her best to help her get comfortable again, but stopped when she seen the blood on the pillow. She forced Rio's mouth open, and ran her finger along the edge of her inner lip. When she pulled it back she found it covered with blood. She cursed sligthly as she threw pillows around the room, removed the bedsheet and blanket. She then stuffed pillows along her sides in order to keep her from moving.
Once she was a little satisfied she walked out an into the kitchen. "Rio's bleeding," she said as she leaned up against the wall. "I can only assume that one of her ribs punctured a lung. Not serious, but regardless we need that equipment fast. Not to mention maybe an inhaler or two. Lets just hope they brought the farmacy with them. Because I'll be using quite a bit of it," she pointed out.

“Don’t worry, they’ll be here soon.” He said. As if to punctuate the point, a bell started to ring. Daniel reached over to the kitchen counter and pushed a button. The ringing looked like it came from a bell ripped out of an egg timer.
“Motion sensors. What do you wanna bet that’s them?” He said. Whole system of them about a hundred yards out in every direction, mounted on unassuming piles of rocks. They hadn’t come in to the buzzing because the house hadn’t had any power.
He got up and moved to the far living room wall with the help of the crutches, moving the big block of wood that looked like it had been used as a dartboard, and revealed a wall safe. Spinning the dial a few times, he input the combination and opened it up. Inside, it was stacked full with hundred dollar bills. He took out four bundles and put them in his pocket, shut the safe, and turned back.
“All right, lets go get our stuff.” He said.
He opened the door and worked his way up the stairs, hearing the engine of a vehicle shut off. He took a look at the, most likely stolen, military transport truck and waved to a blond man who jumped down from the passenger side. He was wearing a hoodie, a pistol open in a shoulder holster and a knife hung from his belt. A man with black hair and a shifty look, eyeing the sand as if it would attack, jumped from the passenger truck. He was wearing a flannel shirt, a shotgun slung over his right shoulder. Two men from the back, a giant with a big bushy beard and leather jacket, and a young redhead in camo fatigues came around.
“Jack, Alex, Harry.” He said, to the first three. He didn’t know the man with red hair.
“Long time no see, Dan.” The blond said, Jack. “What happened to you?” He asked.
“Car crash. The usual.” Daniel said. Jack shrugged and gave a knowing expression. “She’d gotta get back to check out the medical supplies.” He said. Jack nodded and looked at the giant of the group.
“Show her what’s what, unload the order.” He said. Harry nodded and motioned for Elijha to follow as the redhead hopped back into the truck and handed boxes out to him. Daniel reached into a pocket, Alex tensed up for a moment. Jack calmed him down, and Daniel pulled the money out. He held it out, and Alex came to collect it. Jack counted it quickly and gave Daniel a smile.
“Never a liar, you gotta be my favorite client.” He said.
“I try, lets move this along.” Daniel said. He didn’t like being out in the open, unarmed and with two different armies looking for them. Jack nodded and clapped his hands, the two in back starting to move quicker. By now they were opening boxes filled with medical supplies for Elijha.

When Elijah told them about Rio, Malcom helped out with the few medical supplies in the bunker, old but reliable. The coffee pot in the kitchen was used to boil water to help sterilise the tools they needed and soon enough they'd rigged up a method to keep the pressure off Rio while she was lying down and help her breath easier. Soon afterwards Daniels friends had turned up, Malcom passed him the shotgun.
"I should probably watch out for Rio until Elijah gets back in, give me a call if you get into any disagreement and I'll come shooting. Or a more clear signal if you need extra pay and I'll come offering favours."
He waited with Rio sitting backwards on a wooden chair rocking it on the back legs.
"We'll fix you up soon kid. Gonna need you around to tell us that our plans are stupid y'know?"

Elijha followed Harry to the back of the truck, and was instantly surprised at what all they had brought. She reached down and pulled up a hand held x-ray scanner. "Oh my," she said as she looked it over. "These things aren't even in the marget yet. You guys are amazing." She picked out a lot of things that she figured they would need later on as well. Once she was done Harry helped her carry them down the stairs and set them in the living room. She turned to watch as he left back up the stairs to the others. She went through the boxes grabbing out what she needed, and then headed to the bedroom.
"Hey," she said looking at Malcom. "I'm going to need your help here," she said as she started to move the pillows away from Rio. The shifting causing her to cry out. "Just hang on a bit longer. It's going to get better after I'm done. I promiss," she said as she reached over for the hand held x-ray scanner. She fiddled with it for a moment before she figured out the general idea of how it worked. She scanned it over Rio's chest and then pulled it up. "Look," she said showing Malcom. "Non of the broken ribs have punctured her lungs." She looked over at Rio as she gasped heavily. "More than likely it's the pressure that's drying out her lungs. Forcing the air in taring the lining causing the bleeding," she explained.
She sat it down on the table and walked over to a medium size looking bag with strange buttons on it. "Were going to use this until her ribs have setted a bit. Over night should be fine. It'll also allow her to move around. Once there set in place I'll be able to use to something a bit more comfortable which is the ace bandages," she pointed out. "Here take this," she said as she handed it over. "I'm going to raise her up. You set it down on the bed." She grimiced slightly as she put her hand under Rio's back. She seemed fine until she lifted her up slightly. Rio cried out and her hands instantly grabbed Elijha's arms. "It's going to be okay. Just a little longer, and there will be no more pain."
Once Malcom had placed the bottom part of the bag under Rio. Elijha laid her back down on the bed, and struggled a bit to pull her arms free from Rio's grip. She adjusted the piece until it was center of her chest. She reached over and pulled the rest of the bag around her chest, and fastned it to the bottom part. Once it was secured she pressed one of the buttons and it let out a loud hiss. The bag's air was letting out and as it went down it formed into a chast around Rio's chest. Rio whimpered slightly as it tightened around her ribs. Once it was firm she tested the straps again, and then walked back for the oxygen tank. She placed a mask on Rio and turned it on.
"Go ahead and cover her up. Make her a bit more comfortable," she told him. As Malcom did that she readied the drugs. Several shots and one of them morphine. She gave Rio a couple of shots, and then packed everything up. She looked down at Rio as she looked around. It didn't take long before she fell asleep again. "Now she will be fine. When she wakes up she will be able to move around a bit. Not much, but a lot better than how she has been," she pointed out. She headed for the door. "Let her sleep. Lets check on Daniel," she said as she made her way back out of the house. "How are things up here?"

“Fancy hospital we raided, kind with D cup nurses and hypochondriac clientele.” Harry said with a smirk from behind his bushy beard. He’d brought out en empty crate for Elijha to fill with what she needed, and when she was done he began pushing things back to the redhead.
“Going good, checking the merchandise.” Daniel said when they came back out, at the back of the truck. Open in front of him were several wooden ammo crates filled with smaller plastic boxes. Each contained a pistol, a full sized and compact model. Eight total. After he looked each over, he moved to the next crate. Ammunition. Unmarked, home made. He took out a single round and checked it over.
“Can I borrow your knife?” He asked, looking over at Harry. Harry reached into his pocket and pulled out a switchblade. Flipping it open with the touch of a button, he handed it to Daniel. Daniel used it to pry the bullet from the casing. He dumped the powder into his hand and took a look at it. It checked out just fine.
He returned the knife and looked at the other weapons. A full sized MP5 and an MP5K. He checked them over, they check out fine, and he handed them to their new owners. The MP5 to Malcolm and the MP5K to Elijha.
“Merry Christmas.” He said with a smirk. Everything was good. He turned to Jack and shook hands with the man. “Thanks for everything, Jack.” He said.
“No problem, Dan. Harry, help the cripple with his groceries, ya?” He said with a smirk. Daniel returned it and the giant in the leather jacket nodded. He picked up all of the boxes and began toward the house.
“Hey…” Daniel said, quietly. “We may need a place to crash, hide out, sometime in the next few months. We’re mixed up in some bad s***.” He said. Jack understood.
“You’re a friend. I remember friends. We wont turn you away, but it wont be free either.” He said.
“Of course not.” Daniel said, mock posh in his voice. “We can cover it.” He said.
“Then your welcome anytime.” He said.
“Thanks.” Daniel replied. Harry came back out, empty handed, and came back to the group.
“Time to hit the road.” Jack said. The others nodded silently and moved to the truck. “See you around, Dan.” He said. Dan nodded and waved as Jack climbed back up into the truck, spinning the truck around and moving out. The two in back dangled a heavy piece of burlap out the back, covering the tracks made by the truck. Daniel turned back to Elijha and Malcolm.
“Nice bunch of guys, for arms dealers.” He said. Even before the outbreak, nice bunch of guys. Full blown hero’s nowadays, pulling people out of god knew where and giving them shelter for just about nothing. If they had something to offer the colony, good.
“Lets get back inside, it’s too bright out here.” He said.

After Elijah finished the treatment and suggested letting her rest Malcom took a small gadget he'd been working on and strapped it around Rio's hand.
"Just in case she needs anything, I wired it up to the lights in the main room. She presses it and we'll know to go check on her."
He followed Elijah outside to meet Daniel's friends and help with the rest of the gear, almost bumping into the larger man moving the boxes.
"Woah, sorry gigantor. Hey, you all must be Dan's friends." He recieved his new sub machine gun. "and now my new best friends. Thanks for the gear. I'll have to try being a repeat customer."
When the deal was finished and the crew had left the group went back inside the bunker with the rest of the new equipment.
"So we're back in business for now. Any ideas what our next move should be?"

Elijha sat down on the chair as she played with her new weapon. She looked it over before holstering it. She picked up one of the clips and started going through the rounds making sure they were good at least to what she could tell. When she was satisfied she set them down and looked at the others as they went over their own weapons. "I suggest after we can move finding you guys some real food. No offince," she said looking to Daniel.
She stretched her arms and leaned a little further back in the chair. "A change of cloths, another vehicle we could keep a bit. An a good place to make a base for us. Then we got to start figuring out how to get her brother back, and undo what my father has done to him." She crossed her arms as she propped her feet up on the stool. "I would say that I have a place, but I think after about a year or so from home that it wouldn't be there anymore." She paused as she tried to think. "Though it might be. They were pulling the money out of my account." She shurgged her shoulders. "I'll have to call once where out of here. Though It's in New York if we're ever up that way."

“None taken. Took a lot of it with me when I left.” He said.
“If it’s on the books, it probably wouldn’t be a good place to go.” He said. As it was, this place was totally secret to everyone but the gun dealers who just left, those who inhabited it now, and a few contractors who built it, long dead in the outbreak.
“Clothes, I have them. If you don’t mind fatigues.” He said. “We’ll have to let them in a bit, but they’ll work.” He said. He had six or seven extra sets in the dresser. “I have a car out there as well, we can put two people in it and have the whole back area of the van for Rio.” He said.
He began taking a look at the pistols, checking them over on the outside as well as the sights before he took the slide off and began looking at the inner parts. In less than a minutes, he had it taken apart to every single piece. Checking them all over and inspecting them for damage, he found that everything was in working order and it had either had a deep clean or had never been fired.
“Any way you can check a computer network or something, get us a place to go blow up next?” He asked, putting the trigger assembly together before he slipped it into the frame and secured it with the pins.

"Computer huh? Give me a sec."
Malcom unloaded his weapon and put the safety on before setting it on the table. He made his way into the back room where he'd found some old electronics and parts, wheeling an old TV into the main room before pulling the back off it and getting to work twisting and reconnecting a few wires.
"Hope you don't mind Danny, but it's probably time you got this place a flatscreen or something anyway, even prisons get basic cable these days."
He took a cable from his PDA and connected it to some old computer parts he'd found among the junk, then connecting that to the wires from the TV, soon the screen was displaying a large enough image that they could work without crowding around one small handheld screen. The AFDS files they'd taken copies of before escaping blinked on screen with the occasional fizzle from the old model TV.
"So, any idea where to start?"

Elijha stood up and stretched her arms. "How about locations of all Sincill bases. We don't want to hit any of them close to this place," she pointed out as she headed over to the bedroom. Looking in she noticed that Rio was awake and reaching for the can of soup that was sitting on the stand. "Well this is a good sign." She walked into the room and sat down on the edge of the bed. "Feeling any better?" she asked as she helped Rio sit up slightly.
"It . . . still hurts," she mumbled as she reached for the soup, but flinched.
"Well your hungry that's always a good sign." He picked up the soup and handed it to Rio. "Something soft, but once we get out of here we'll get some better food," she said as she stood up. She walked over to the medical supplies drawing up another syringe of morphin and giving Rio another shot. "I want you to avoid running around right now. Just stay in bed. Shout if you need one of us," she said as she patted Rio on the head. With that she walked back into the living room. "She's awake and moving, but I want her to stay in bed for the time being." She paused in thought and then looked at Malcom. "Think we could get a list of Sincill's drugs that can be administered by needles. I know there will be a lot, but we'll have an idea of what where looking for."

“Wouldn’t that take months?” Daniel asked. “Seems to me like their the type’s to have liquid aspirin, not to mention anything they got playing mad chemist. And then, we don’t know anything about it, other than its been dormant for a day and a half. If we wanted to nail it down, we’d have to sit and wait for it to take effect some way or another.” He added. Sitting and waiting for it didn’t seem like something that would work out in the end.
But it was going that way anyway.
Daniel felt a sudden dizzy spell hit, gripping the edge of the table to steady himself as it got worse.
“E…” He tried to say, losing his grip and toppling to the floor.

"That's a good plan, I'll cross reference with the recent spending data we have and see if we can find a pattern. Transport materials might be good to check with as well since they had to get in and out safe and fast with whatever it was."
Malcom typed enough to set the files sorting automatically, turning away from the screen when he heard the thump of Daniel fainting.
"Aw crap, whatever it is must have kicked in." He tried to help Daniel up and wake him. "Elijah, best get that portable scanner from the medical gear....and check on Rio while you're in there."

Elijha nodded as she helped Malcom get Daniel to the sofa again. After she was sure that he wouldn't roll off she headed to the bedroom, and paused at the door. She looked back at Malcom and then into the room. "She's out too," she said as she moved around the bed, and adjusted her in a more comfortable position. She looked down at the floor where the can of food had spilt out. She turned to get the scanner and several other items. She walked back into the living room, and set everything down in one of the chairs. She turned on the scanner and ran it over Daniel, but nothing seemed to turn up. She set it aside, and went to draw up a bit of blood. She used it in a small tester to test drugs or other items in a persons blood, but again it came up empty.
"Nothing, nothing's showing up in his blood," she said looking back at Malcom. She leaned over tapping him on his cheek. "Daniel . . . Daniel can you hear me?" she called out. She sighed a bit and shook her head. "Keep trying to wake him up. I'll see what I can do with Rio," she said as she headed back to the bedroom. She sat on the bed and tried herself to wake up Rio as well.

Daniel stirred for a moment, his eyes opening slowly as he took a look around the room. He hadn’t been out for more than a few seconds.
“What…” He said, looking around and sitting up despite Malcolm’s urges to try and keep him laying down. “I…” He started again. Something was wrong… Maybe not wrong, but something… unnatural. “I feel ok.” He said, swinging his legs off the side to lean forward and look at the ground. He stood up and stood evenly, broken leg and all. Reaching down to touch it, he gripped it for a moment and squeezed it a few times. Still nothing. He unwrapped the bandage and looked at his skin. The bruising that had been there when he broke it was gone.
“Go help Elijha.” He said, still marveling at the instantaneous healing of his injuries.
